Yeah, What Athenae says

Athenae at First Draft sums up why the left- and by left, oh best beloveds, she is including independent and working class liberals such as ourselves- are fed up with Obama and the Democratic party.

Warning: The following excerpt has expletives and strong feelings that may make some of our more delicate commenters feel oogie.  Reader discretion is advised

From Peace Sucks a Hairy Asshole:

Here’s the problem, you gutless fucks. You had majorities. And I KNOW, okay, but all America sees is that you had majorities and you wasted them. Because that’s what the GOP told them, and you said, “buh buh buh” and couldn’t point to anything you did right, not even with the unwashed hippies holding your arm up for you. You had majorities, and you had Harry Reid, refusing to be mean to Republicans by shoving stuff through. You had majorities, and you had Barack Obama acting like he was already an ex-president and could be gracious and social with these pricks. You had majorities, used them to do some stuff, and then sat back and acted like we should be grateful when we can fucking count.

We can fucking count, out here. We know what 51 means. We know what 257 means. We’re not morons. And all the procedural whatsit you argue today, about ConservaDems and Blue Dogs, doesn’t mean shit. You had it, and we worked hard to give it to you, and we see you calling things impossible which are just very hard, and we get fucking annoyed, because we don’t get to get away with that shit. Not at our jobs and not in our lives.

Now, I’m not excusing the Party of I Hate You or these teabagging excuses for human beings who think education is vaguely homosexual in some sinister way, but I am saying that the lesson we’re all going to take away from this is that America just isn’t a Democratic nation and we should all tack to the right and us hippies should just die in a fire already, which is bullshit. The lesson we should take away from this is that America doesn’t like pussies, doesn’t like whiners and it sure as fuck doesn’t like parties that pretend to be able to do less than they can do just because they don’t want to work that hard or have Chris Matthews call them mean.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Oh, and one more thing.  President Obama is a lousy socialist.

It goes without saying that this moderate lefty completely repudiates Obama and the ass he road in on.

  1. OMG!!! Why isn’t she on our blogroll? Crap! I’ve gotta fix that!

  2. “Oh, and one more thing. President Obama is a lousy socialist.”

LOLOL. That’s so funny! And, too true. Great post!

Also, Obama yet again claimed today that what upset people was the ugly process. Uh no. What upset people was the constant deference to teh rules as an excuse for not doing more.

    • honk, honk!

    • Well his campaign’s ugliness topped anything I’ve seen, and it was even worse for gaming the caucuses, eliminating voters in states penalized by the DNC, and manipulating the convention. It destroyed my faith in a party that I had supported with time and money anfpd faith all of my life. I never believed the corruption would go so deep, especially to result in the election of a neophyte with no convictions. A hollow, narcissist. The payback by the voters equalizes the deceit somewhat. Never has so little been so oversold at this level of the game.

Projection anyone? Go tell Alice Palmer or your two opponents for Senate
whose sealed divorce records were made highly public so you could be a shoo-in.

      Lots of karma un

      • Lots of karma to be unwoven.

      • Yes, Yes, the primary. I agree. But that’s not really what I am talking about. Even as a candidate, Obama would drone on and on about the “process” and the “system”, but I think what people care about are tangible results in their own lives not so much the process. And he and Harry Reid blamed their ineffective, half-assed agenda on their need to adhere to Senate rules, which is preposterous. Put it this way, if Obama had passed a jobs-based, effectively sized stimulus, voters would care little about how he did it they’d just be happy he did, and the Democrats would not have been pummled at the polls.

And in regards to the primary, while entirely true that the Obama primary strategy came right out of the Cook county playbook, Obama isn’t that self-aware. He see’s himself as the legimate winner of the contest .

        • Of course, it is all about him! I won’t forget and will never vote for the cheat, never, ever. Had the process been fair, the qualified candidate would have won, and it would be a different country.

          • Well, I agree and won’t vote for him either, but that’s still not what I was talking about.

        • masslib, Krugman said the same. People don’t give a rat’s ass about filibusters and ugly procedures. People want a president to be competent, not find excuses as to why something is not working.

    • What I am referring to is the ugly process that defines his entire political career, which leads him to project– as in pyschologicsl projection–that others are concerned about ugly processes.

But of course this was said with tongue-in- cheek because the man is not self-aware. Self-obsession is another ball of wax.”What do you think of your “gift from god” now, Nancy P.?”

    • Oh gods, he has’t a freaking clue about how to be a socialist.

  3. That is FABULOUS.

  4. Hope Axelrove’s minions pass this on to him. He’s probably ready to jump ship from scripting the teleprompters endlessly and to go on to build another “king” because “Yes, he did but the historic one just wants rock star adulation not the hard work, and lacks anything vaguely resembling leadership ability.”

Will the lease run out on the Chicago DNC offices? Will the little donations from kids who live at home keep coming in?

  5. HONK HONK!

I am so damn sick of the Dems and the professional left not getting it. See, the thing is, they run around saying that Bill Clinton shifted right after 94, but he didn’t. Not from where I’m looking.

You don’t judge it by how much he expanded govt or didn’t expand govt. While it’s true that he reduced the size of the federal govt more than other presidents (Ha! Take THAT zombie Reagan!), the govt he presided over DID STUFF for the people. That’s not moving right. See? Get that? It’s not about size, it’s about making it work for us out here.

You know where people get the “those crazy tyrannical Statist Dems” ideas from? I’ll tell you where: when they see an administration dicking around passing tons of ungodly lengthy legislation, creating massive regulations, etc, that aren’t helping anyone, and sure as hell aren’t reigning in anyone who is abusing us. And the “folks” conclude that the point of it all must be power grabs just for the sake of power – since it’s sure hard as FUCK to discern any other reason for all of it. They see a lot of weight and power and arm-twisting being thrown around, that gives the guys up there in DC more power, yet does JACK SHIT for them.

Passing a lot of shit does not equal good governance. More bureaus and departments and czars for everything down to hangnails does not equal liberalism. When the hell did the left become so impressed with the show and the optics, instead of whether it helps people?

You judge by results, not activity. And Bill Clinton, on a fucking shoestring, managed to put govt on our side, more than any president in my living memory. And we prospered. And it WORKED.

I am sick and tired of Dems patting themselves on the back and calling us ungrateful. “Why, just look at the beautiful towering edifice of govt we’ve built for you!”, they say. And I’m sick of being looked at like a fart in the room when I eye it and go, “Yeah, impressive contraption you’ve built there, Skippy. Um, what the fuck does it DO??”

Bill could answer that question. These jackwads don’t even want it asked.

  6. feel oogie at the strong language?

hell, if I had the language skills, I mighta written that post myself!

    😉

    sing it, Sister.

  7. F.A.B. er, Honk.!

  8. Jon Stewart:

“A great place to buy Meg Whitman schwag? Ebay.

    • schwag=marijuana

Gee golly, I had to look that up, for a minute I thought it was some ewww kind of thing, but it is marijuana. Jon is out of luck with his jokes because marijuana is still illegal in California.

  9. Anglachel on 11-15-08:

Obama has less than two years to provide some kind of measurable economic improvement to the majority of the population, or he will lose seats in the mid-term elections and probably will be turned out of office in 2012. The domestic agenda will be all consuming under these conditions. Whatever plans Obama and his hangers-on may have had for his fairy tale presidency were jettisoned in mid-September. If he does not get the domestic situation on the right track at once – and he will only have one chance – then he is toast.

  10. If Hillary doesn’t run, I’m all for drafting John Hickenlooper.

    And no, I’m not kidding.

    • I’d have supported Sebellius before the HCR but it turns out she’s a capitulating wussy too.

  11. ho hum…
