    • Hope Is Bullshit
I am unintersted in “hope.” Or as we called it in the Obama bullshit years, Hopium. Hope is not a plan. Hope is bullshit. Luck is real, but you don’t count on luck other than in the sense that the harder you work, and the more things you do, the more likely you are to […]

Shout out to Atmika Pai

If you’re into Astronomy and Coding (and I know who you are), check out The Universe 42. Sounds like Atmika is a Douglas Adams fan.

Her blog description reads:

“Astronomical Coder: Learn to code the universe at your fingertips.” She’s using VPython. BiFF knows how I struggle with coding but you’re never too old, right, BiFF?

I SAID, RIGHT, BiFF??

I love blogs like Atmika’s. So much to read there. She’s got a fantastic post on super moons and eclipses over India. Best wishes for her to fill it out with wonderful content and develop an audience of millions.

Also, don’t forget to check out Mike’s blog Elemental Fractal for fractal art. Beautiful.

  1. She was the one asking about Watergate in a previous post. I wish more here were curious about that, especially Indian Americans who voted for trump and who may not know much about Watergate.

    • Hi Atmika! Cool blog. I used to know an astrophysicist (Prajwal Shastri) while growing up. Wow, she has a wiki page and looks much different.

    • I’m a softy for girl geeks

      • Me too. When I had my first couple of female students graduate, my husband said he hoped they would become CEOs and run companies.

    • Ahahah! Thank you so much! I am an Indian and I live in India! Fascinated by politics and so I was eager to know more! Why did you assume I would vote for Trump? xD

      • I didn’t. I was talking about Indian origin Americans here in the US voting for trump and wishing they were as curious as you were in India. It troubles me to see a slew of Indian Americans here helping trump implement his ugly policies in his administration as well as voters who voted for him. I was born in India and came here to pursue higher ed in my 20s.

  2. Tonight!

  3. Thank you so much for the shoutout!

  4. Menendez is off the hook. Good, I always thought the case was bullshit.
