If they are still swing voters I don’t have much hope for them. I am not a Biden fan, but there is no doubt that there is only one sane choice in this election, and other than hardcore MAGAts I don’t see how anyone can be undecided.
Democrats do not know how to play offense and playing defense is a waste of time. I expect Joe to be quick on his feet at points but I think it would be wrong to not hammer home the convictions & to not point out the clear unusualness of someone like Trump being on stage.
Hillary’s op ed in the NYT really spells it out nicely. Her noting that “expectations being so low” for Trump at tonight’s debate is really something I think we are going to have to contend with.
He may very well tamper down the “feces throwing” as you say, RD 😂 if only because he knows the media will fall for it … and instead of speaking about the convictions or his obvious ineptness, we’ll be sure to be inundated with praise for being on halfway acceptable behavior. Although I do expect outrageous insults to be flung.
Remember his supporters like the meanness, they like the p*ssy grabbing and the kicking of puppies, so he’ll appeal to that no doubt.
I’m not sure he can restrain his feces flinging if he’s triggered.
Joe could do that easily with subtlety. We might not even see it coming.
