And we’re off

We’re leaving murky Miami behind and there’s blue sky and sunshine ahead. Keep up those prayers to the weather gods to keep Fiona away.

Haven’t had my margarita yet but I think it’s time. Thanks to all of you for fueling my 5 days of idleness and dissipation.

This song sums it up for the last 10 years. Five o’clock could come soon enough.

Good night.

  1. For the most part this cruise has few children. Most kids are back in school.
But there are always one or two who have the potential to ruin a meal with that high pitched shriek that resonates with that last nerve.

  2. The curry is so good.

  3. May your cruise be all you need it to be, RD!

  4. The fall is such a great cruise time! I have been on a number. I especially liked the Mediterranean cruise from Rome to Istanbul and back. The entry into Istanbul harbor with the sounds of the Calls to prayers was the most amazing thing. And then did a Baltic cruise out of Copenhagen to Estonia, St Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and then fjords of Norway. I loved them. Met fascinating people, great food and unbelievable sights. What a way to travel to such diverse cities! May your weather gods smile down on you and you have a great trip. We always said we would be happy to sit with people at dinner. Met really interesting people.
