    • The First Great Environmental Crisis Will Be
Water. As I’ve said for many years. The world is facing an imminent water crisis, with demand expected to outstrip the supply of fresh water by 40 percent by the end of this decade, experts have said on the eve of a crucial UN water summit. I’ll use the US as an example, though this going to effect almost all countries, some much worse than others, and it wi […]

Short Takes and it’s only Wednesday

1.) Trump is denying that there was any security breach while documents related to a foreign nation’s nuclear capabilities were stashed in some office boxes at Mar-a-Lago

Sure, sure. He also told the FBI there weren’t any more documents at his resort after June 2022. He told the DOJ he didn’t know nothin’ about no DNI documents. Well, there have been SO many lies since he was electoral college “elected” president and then LOST the electoral college “election” and popular vote in 2020, that his word is, to put it mildly, mud.

How much you wanna bet it was France? Remember the panic attack that Macron had after his phone call with Putin just after the Russians invaded Ukraine?

Do I think Trump revealed secrets to the Russians or anyone else? Well, even Trump deserves the benefit of a doubt until there is proof. Do I think other people have had access to the TS/SCI and S/FRD documents without Trump’s knowledge? Absolutely. You know why?

Because someone ratted him out to the FBI that he had unsecured super secret documents at his residence. That’s how we know that the documents were vulnerable to foreign spooks dressed as cleaning ladies and pool boys.

Someone(s) noticed.

All together now!

LOCK HIM UP!

LOCK HIM UP!

LOCK HIM UP!

2.) A cool ex president sashays into the White House to see his portrait unveiled and gives a little speech where he calls the current Oval Office resident the “Vice President”.

(BTW, I have no issues with the Obama’s’ portraits being hung in the White House. Trump’s refusal to do it was a mark of disrespect and hatred and I’m not here for it. That’s not the point in this article.)

Obama continues to validate my Blink! impression I had of him the first time I saw him at a Netroots Nation conference in Chicago in 2007: Above it all, looking bored, arrogant.

I just didn’t realize how incredibly petty he is. He just can’t let anyone who was once his subordinate outshine him by dealing with crisis after crises and getting major accomplishments done after the mess that Trump made.

Joe Biden is more progressive than Obama ever was. He’s worked tirelessly since January 2021 and he has to put up with this crap from his predecessor who just can’t stand to be upstaged.

Jeez.

3.) I’ve been hearing and reading a lot lately about how some mainstream Republicans are planning to cross over and vote for Democrats this fall. Bill Kristol is heading an initiative to persuade 3-5% of these potential voters to switch sides this year.

Thanks in advance and I mean that sincerely as just another American, not a Democrat. I’d just like to point out that these voters are doing it for their country. They shouldn’t try to get comfortable in our party. One party rule by ANY party will eventually lead to corruption and I’m not so militantly convinced of the virtue of the Democrats that I don’t think it could happen with my party. I just have to look at how the Democrats ran the 2008 primary for an example. Do I think they learned anything from that? Maybe some have but their voices are too small even now.

Don’t believe me? Just try to say anything critical about Obama on any social media platform. The pushback is aggressive and fanatical.

Anyway, I encourage the mainstream Republicans to retake their own party after they burn it all down in November. It’s important.

And just a tip: Newt Gingrich should be shunned by polite society from this day forward to forever. If any one of you starts trying to rehabilitate him, then you get what you deserve.
