Hey, Republicans, go big or go home.

Seriously. You concentrate all your efforts on PA. It’s a waste of time. I guarantee that if the Trump campaign ever bothers to present its “evidence” of fraud in court*, it will turn out to be not relevant because our state tightened every loophole before the election and during the count. AND there’s a paper trail. And for what? You can’t over turn the election with 20 electoral college votes at this point. You’d still need about 50 more electoral college votes.

So, sue California.

It has 55 electoral college votes. If you’re trying to find evidence of fraud, why not go to the biggest pool of votes? You’ll save time. Then with your 55 votes, you can sue, oh, I don’t know, New York maybe? Sure these two states went overwhelmingly for Biden but that’s the whole beauty of this plan. If you can undermine the vote in CA, then how can you be sure any vote count is right? Even Massachusetts might have gone for Trump but the numbers were hacked so far in Biden’s direction that we’ll never know unless you diligently uncover the evidence of malfeasance.

If you concentrate on PA and manage to flip it back to Trump (you can’t. I’m telling you this in advance. We knew this state was going to be scrutinized so all the loopholes were closed to take our EC votes off the table in a recount) you’ll still have to flip Arizona and Michigan and Nevada and Wisconsin. You may even have to count Georgia a 4th, 5th and 6th time. That will take a loooong time. In fact, it would drag this whole challenge out for months or years and make the country more unstable and polarized. You don’t want that do you? You just want your voters to get Justice, right?

Wouldn’t you rather just get it over with and prove your point quickly so your well intentioned party, acting in good faith for the benefit of all Americans, can get on with, I don’t know, governing?

Come on, guys, give California some attention. Make it relevant again.

If you don’t start with California, where your “illegal votes” claim will be a LOT more credible, I’m afraid you’ll start looking like you’re not serious and that you’re challenging the EC count for entirely different reasons.

Say it ain’t so.

* The Trump campaign keeps claiming there is fraud in PA but inexplicably doesn’t present the evidence in court. See this ruling from Judge Brann in PA where he specifically writes about the lack of evidence. It’s written at about 8th grade level. You don’t even have to be a lawyer to get it.

  1. Oh, I know that you are being just a bit sarcastic here! But do note that they are trying hard to get Governor Newsom recalled, and replaced by a Republican. With Enron’s help, they managed to get Governor Davis recalled,and installed Schwarzenegger, who while being surprisingly good on the environment, took such hard lines on state budgets, that every year people went unpaid for months,and eventually California sunk into a major deficit. But then we elected Jerry Brown, and even though the Far Right Republicans (which are essentially the only Republicans in this state), had enough votes to block every budget, he did the only thing he could do, which was get enough signatures to put the tax increase on the ballot. And Democrats, trusting Brown, and being smart enough to do so, voted for it, and it was about a 1% or so increase in the state tax, and just like that, the shortfall was fixed, and Brown ended his tenure with a major budget surplus. That is all it would ever take to get rid of any deficits, just raise taxes slightly; but the Republicans won’t hear of it, and would much rather bankrupt everything and provide no services, then pay a thousand dollars more in taxes. Republicans are ready to try it again, get rid of Newsom because he went to an outdoor seating restaurant without a mask, and then put in some awful person as governor. So do not think that they ever give up trying to take over California. Not long ago, they were trying to split CA into two states, one of which would of course vote for two Republican senators, and cancel out the other one;

Back to the more general issue, the Republicans are a political party which now stands only for two things: 1)Winning every single election no matter how they have to do it: get more votes by suppressing other votes; fixing the count; extorting officials to just hand them the elections, anything will do for them. 2) Taking whatever funds are still available in government coffers, and giving them to very rich people to enjoy, while no one else has anything. And by the time the poor people decide to revolt, they will have escaped to their secure fortresses filled with swimming pools, gallons of food, and maybe even Terri Nunn singing new wave hits. So for Republicans, there is no bottom, there is no line they will not cross, all is fair for them in this game of politics, where the only goal is to win, and stomp on liberals’ heads while reciting religious homilies. And who is to stop them? Maybe this time, but how about the next time? The next time I hear a Democrat talk about working across the aisle with Republicans, I will turn them off, and remember the 12 senators who are literally attempting to overthrow the government of the United States; and the Minority Leader of the House, from California, who has signaled that he will support their efforts, and who is only about six seats away from being the Speaker, because voters have not yet figure out that if you vote for virtually any Republican, you vote for all of the worst ones by proxy.

    • So what is the answer? How do we solve these enormous problems? Please don’t tell me it’s by bankrupting red states. You really don’t want to go down that road. I know you don’t. You are smarter than that. I believe you are also too compassionate to want innocent people in these states, some of whom are loyal lifelong Democrats, to suffer. You are better than that.

    • Has Terri Nunn gone Ted Nugent on us? 😦

      • IBW, you noticed that, too. Very disappointing to see Terri performing at Mar a Lago in front of maskless people. I don’t think she is a right-winger, although maybe she is, but she probably liked the money offered.

    • Winning every single election no matter how they have to do it: get more votes by suppressing other votes; fixing the count; extorting officials to just hand them the elections, anything will do for them.

You forgot “threatening and encouraging acts of violence”. They’ve been real big on that one lately.

  2. In fact, it would drag this whole challenge out for months or years and make the country more unstable and polarized.

Nah,even if they drag it out for months Trump’s term still ends on January 20. If the election’s not decided by then, Pelosi gets sworn in as acting President. She’s further to the right than I’d prefer, but I’m basically okay with her.

    • I’m thinking about what would happen if McConnell is still majority leader. We will never hear the end of it about how the election was fraudulent. They’ll throw the whole kitchen sink at it.
And note that HRC had a better reason to challenge the results, especially in PA where there was no paper trail in 2016 and she won the popular vote by 3 million votes. But she conceded and got out of the way. It was her voters who have suspected all along that she was the victim of some election skullduggery.
