Many of us never accepted Trump as president:
2016 was just an awful election year. But we still thought Hillary was going to win. She “lost” PA by something like 40K votes. Now, I’m not going to say it didn’t happen. I’m only saying that many of our voting machines lacked a paper trail and mail in ballots were not a thing in our state yet.
There were so many improbables during that election that I just can’t say for certain that Trump won it. There have been indications that something was seriously wrong with the count in a couple Florida counties as well and that members of Congress were briefed on it but can’t reveal what they know.
So we got saddled with Trump for four years after Hillary conceded the very next day. But I never considered him my president and I sure as hell didn’t like many of the things he did in my name. He ruined America’s reputation.
That’s quite a different thing than having your opponent call you the winner, have the transition team go into its dance, and the electoral college confirming him.
It doesn’t matter how we felt about the outcome personally, the outcome was accepted by all official parties like it or not. He turned out to be every bit as bad as we expected abc then some. When there was evidence that he was a national security risk and had done something impeachable, well, let’s just say no one on this side of the aisle was surprised. He should have been convicted.
Nevertheless, his party protected him abc we had to suffer another year of him.
Kayleigh seems to think that anybody cared what the Clinton voters thought about anything. No, indeed, reporters were tripping all over each other in east Jabip, Indiana diners, letting the 75 year old coffee addicts speak for everyone.
They don’t.
But it doesn’t really matter. This is the point. Supposedly, we had our say at the polling places on Nov 8, 2016 and we were stuck with him.
Thinking and saying that we didn’t accept him as our president was not only NOT against the law, it was the only sane response to a highly abnormal and dangerous period of time in our nation’s history.
Not only that but he never accepted the blue states as part of the country.
From what I can recall, our opinions didn’t stop Trump from doing exactly as he pleased anyway. Don’t expect any of us to feel sorry for the guy so that we let him steal this election and hold the government hostage.
Ain’t gonna happen.
Kayleigh can call me whatever she wants. I don’t GAF. I still want his orangeness out of the White House on January 20, 2021. He lost. Get him out.
