We’ve clawed our way back

Bells are ringing in Paris for us:

Justin Trudeau wrote a congratulatory letter and tweet.

I think the world is relieved that we can now dedicate ourselves to a little high tension in defeating the pandemic.

Maybe someday they’ll even let us visit them again.

Now, if everybody would please stop partying in close proximity to each other that would be much appreciated.

************

Just another important point and then I’m going to go rake leaves:

Biden’s popular vote count is only going to grow from this point forward as PA and other big states like California continue to count the mail in ballots. It’s already at 4 million more than Trump. Who knows what we’ll end up with.

We should keep hammering away at that fact. The ONLY reason Trump ever had a shot in 2016 is due to the states who have felt no pressure to evolve in the last 250 years. That’s what’s holding this country back and keeping us from adapting to our environment. The electoral college is like a bad gene that might have been useful at one point but now just results in hypertension, diabetes and an early death. All those sparsely populated states have an entrenched minority of well subsidized farmers and fossil fuel companies, zero incentive to change, and enough money to buy their own media to make sure that as many people as possible follow them into extinction.

We will need to continue to be vigilant and make sure that we force this genie back into the bottle. We can never ever turn our backs on it again.
