Finally, an Obama speech worth hearing.

It’s a first for me. Normally, I find his gifts as an orator to be vastly overrated. Do I have examples? Yes I do.

But this speech in Orlando, Florida at lunch time made me laugh in the aisle of my local grocery store. His voice cracks in several places in disbelief. Like, “you can’t make this up, Trump actually said this out loud”.

Anyway, normally, Obama grates on me. The way he blew off the working class is partially why we’re in this mess today. But he’s not an antisocial malicious dictator wannabe who will wreck the place on his way out.

Enjoy.

  1. I voted for the Green Presidential candidates in both 2008 and 2012, but if I’d known then what I know now about anti-vaxxer and Putin puppet Jill Stein, I would have voted for Obama in 2012.

Not sure about 2008. I was pissed off about the obnoxious behavior of some of his supporters. However, I wonder now how many of the obnoxious ones, even then, were actually Russian trolls.

    • Thanks for the link, Ivory Bill Woodpecker! I particularly like #9 on the list: Arwen was so overrated compared to either Luthien or Eowyn or most of the other female characters of Tolkien. No accounting for Aragon’s taste, unless it was her sewing or gifting skills. (She did sew his banner and gave him his green stone.)

It annoyed me that the movie wrote out Glorfindal and made Arwen appear to be a warrior at the ford. It untruthfully and unfairly lessened Eowyn’s heroism.

  3. Yes, Obama is finally realizing that he is supremely influential and he is being quite effective, stumping for his former VP. And I am enjoying his broadside attacks, which are funny/sarcastic.
I still don’t forgive the tax money he gave to Wall Street.
