I guess he did.
Trump tweeted a video of some of his supporters in The Villages, FL. One of them sped by on a golf cart shouting “White Power!”
His account has deleted the tweet but too late! When you have a lot of followers on Twitter, someone is gonna take a screenshot.

Jake Tapper asked John Bolton about the tweet. Bolton says Trump might have been aware of the entirety of the clip including the white power part or he may have just seen the pro-Trump signs on the golf cart and reflexively tweeted it because he doesn’t pay attention to a lot of things.
Well, that’s a comforting thought.
I think there’s a third option. This tweet is the shiny object that the media will go chasing. It was put out there to distract people from his catastrophic handling of the Covid19 pandemic, the imminent crash of the economy and his inaction regarding Putin offering a bounty on the heads of US soldiers in Afghanistan.
It’s pretty bad when you think a video supporting white nationalism will preserve your image.

As you always point out, one of the most dangerous things in this now dangerous country is the denial of science. Climate change continues, and it is being buried under the other news, but it should not be. So many people are told to ignore it, or that it is a hoax. The virus also said to be a hoax. Anti-vaxxers are plentiful. We are really heading back to our version of the Dark Ages, where superstition and autocracy reigned.
Somewhere, science and data got defined as “liberal,” so the 40% of the country who reflexively hates everything associated with liberalism, denied all of it. Trump even admitted that he loved uneducated people, and the media laughed along with him, because there are plenty of anti-intellectuals among them, plenty who hated Hillary types in school, the person who always did her homework and the extra credit, too. “We’ll show her,” and they did, and now they’ve got this, and they can’t figure our why, except that maybe it was Hillary’s fault.
Biden does not threaten them, and neither did Obama or Bush or Reagan. And Clinton, who is very bright, was said to have the “Bubba” vote. When did America ever elect an intellectual as President?. My parents said that they could not understand, when as young adults, they saw the brilliant Adlai Stevenson soundly defeated by Eisenhower, who had trouble articulating a sentence. I guess that Carter was brainy, but in an engineering type fashion. Eugene McCarthy, one of my favorite candidates of all time, even before I could vote, was an intellectual, quoted literature and history. Adam Schiff is a real student of history. We don’t elect those kind, they seem to go against an American grain. It is bad enough when many people shun knowledge and science, it is worse when they actually vote and act against what they tell us.
