Be happy and be well. Please be careful about Covid. Viral load matters for infection, spending hours in a house with people is a great way to get infected. Jared doesn’t have any friends.

Vanity Fair has an article on Trump’s internal poll numbers. He’s hemorrhaging support everywhere due to his Coronavirus non-response. The swing states are “horrific”. They are so bad (how bad are they?), they are SO bad that Biden has decided to let Trump campaign for him. All he has to do is get out of Trump’s way. Easy peasy lemon squeezey!

Trump could have avoided all of this if he had, you know, actually decided to do his job. Even a mediocre one would have been better than abandoning us to our fates.

Instead, he has been seriously considering replacing his campaign manager, Brad “Uber Alles Aryan American” Pascale, with Corey Lewandowski.

Except Corey doesn’t get along with Jared Kushner. So, that might not work out so well.

Know who else doesn’t get along with Jared?:

Trump and campaign manager Brad Parscale’s relationship has been fraying for weeks, sources said. Trump was said to be annoyed last month about a largely positive profile of Parscale in the New York Times Magazine. Trump had already been irked by Parscale because of the talk that Parscale, a former website designer from San Antonio, had made millions of dollars through his companies from Trump’s campaigns and bought a Ferrari. “The money is the biggest issue for Trump,” a former West Wing official said. A few days before the Times Magazine piece was published, Trump called Parscale and reportedly threatened to sue him for the campaign’s weak poll numbers. According to a source briefed on the widely reported call, Parscale told Trump to blame the campaign’s struggle on Kushner. “Brad said, ‘Blame the people Jared brought in,’” the source said. (Parscale did not respond to a request for comment.)

Last week, there was a consulting dude on Jared’s Covid task force who blew the whistle on Jared because his task force on procurement was a giant clusterf}#%. How about the fact that Jared’s task force was competing with the official task force because who doesn’t see the benefit of two task forces trying to kill each other for credit and resources?

Huh. It almost makes you think that the White House is teeming with Never Jareds. They just don’t like him. For whatever reason.

Meanwhile, the Congressional Republicans are FINALLY starting to get nervous that maybe Trump is going to invite himself to campaign with them and that might be a bad thing.

It could be worse. It could be Jared.

Update: Jared has been checking his google calendar and isn’t sure that he can pull off a presidential election this year what with everything else going on.

Someone has to remind him that the date is chosen by law in 1845. The election window was originally set in 1792 but then the telegraph came along and there was concern that PA would influence the votes in Illinois. Geez, it took me 2 minutes to find that info. Anyway, Jared can’t change the date. It’s not legal, not that legality has ever constrained the Trump family but still, he’s incredibly stupid or arrogant.

Or both.

Let’s go with both.

  1. Off topic, sorry.

Having gone to a Catholic high school in NYC I have been aware of Kareem Abdul Jabbar since the basket ball playoffs in my freshman year (January 1965). I have always been a fan. He writes commentaries in the Guardian about once a month, I found today’s to be exceptional. Have a read of
Kareem’s commentary. Obviously this is a pipe dream given tRump, but this is what we deserve instead of the shit sandwich served by tRump.

  2. Also off topic: I complete my 57th solar orbit today.

  3. Stevie Wonder completed his 70th solar orbit today.
