This is sweet and lovely in the purity of its boot-licking authoritarianism: Repeat after me: I am not smarter than Joe Biden. I am not smarter than Kamala Harris. I am not smarter than Nancy Pelosi. I am not smarter than James Carville. But if I l stand back and watch and learn, I will […]

Whut?

This is why we need to teach evolution (natural selection) in schools:

A lot of people misunderstand the term “survival of the fittest”. I know I’m preaching to the choir here but it doesn’t mean the biggest, baddest, greediest bastards win.

Survival of the fittest is about diversity. Literally.

  1. Well, it would predictably come to that. They’ve concocted a religion which gives them license for whatever benefits them. The social darwinists of the late 19th century used evolution as an argument that if the poor people die on the streets, it is good for the human race, because they were not the strongest members of the species. The Nazis believed that they were the master race. These abysmally stupid and ignorant right-wing fake religious smarmy and greedy people now contend that if the people of New York suffer and die, and do not get medical equipment because Trump doesn’t like their politics, this is good.

The problem we have is that these people are unreachable by any human argument. Anything which benefits them is good, nothing which happens to anyone else matters a bit. This could be called advanced sociopathy, or simply perverted greed and selfishness. They’ve got a whole media amplifier, of which Fox is the most powerful. Limbaugh was always like that. Trump obviously is. There are plenty of dystopic novels, some in the science fiction genre, some not, which evoke such images. Now these warped philosophies are being given major air time. Does anyone think that if a major hurricane hit the red states, that they would be saying that we shouldn’t do anything for them? Of course not, so they don’t even believe in their own wretched so-called philosophy. Their philosophy is actually, whatever happens to other people is ordained or natural selection, so the government should never interfere with food stamps or medical care; while if anything happens to them, all efforts must be made to save them. Like the $500 billion given to the poor corporations who are suffering and need our help.

  2. Who was that asshole saying “let ’em die”?

    He can go get bent.

Meanwhile, further down that Twitter thread, I saw a picture of milk producers having to throw milk away to keep the market from imploding.

Meanwhile, people go hungry here, and elsewhere in the world.

    Social Democracy, anyone?

“B-b-b-b-but that might mean some benefits would go to people WE DON’T LIKE! WAAAAAH!”

My tribe, ladies and gentlemen. I wish I knew where I could go to resign from it.

    • We need to start a tribe called Decent White people and say we’re the “Other White People” the white people that get ignored. The white people that voted for Hillary and detest Orange Jesus.
