    • Hope Is Bullshit
I am unintersted in “hope.” Or as we called it in the Obama bullshit years, Hopium. Hope is not a plan. Hope is bullshit. Luck is real, but you don’t count on luck other than in the sense that the harder you work, and the more things you do, the more likely you are to […]

I’d hate to be this DOJ lawyer caught on tape arguing about toothpaste and beds for migrant kids.

A passenger gets tooth cleaning devices, hot moist towels and plenty of leg room on a 7 hour transatlantic flight on Lufthansa. In coach.

You just have to ask yourself, would you leave your kid with.a Trump overnight?

  1. A passenger on Lufthansa pays for what they receive. If you don’t want your kid to be detained by the Border Patrol, don’t bring them with you when you illegally enter the United States.

    • When we, as a government, no longer give even lip service, to the reality that human beings are worthy of respect, then this country is no longer worthy of respect.

I know about how different history was for white men than other races or genders, but the concepts of what our nation was supposed to be was “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses”, not take the babies from their families and make them sleep on cold concrete under aluminum blankets.

I truly fear for your Right Wing contaminated souls.

    • OK, it’s actually Matthew 25:45, but the point is the same.

  2. Hi Niles!
I gotta ask myself if you could really look at a pee soaked two year old who hasn’t had a bath in a week and is sleeping on the floor under an aluminum blanket without pity.

Then I remember that there’s something really messed up with your character.

Oh well. Have a nice day anyway.

    • WHAT character? 😆

    • Of course I feel pity for those kids. But I blame the people who put them in that situation. Their parents get a big heaping shovelful of blame, but the people who are both blameworthy and despicable are the people who are encouraging and enabling the massive wave of illegal immigrants that are overloading the immigration courts with bogus asylum claims.

I resent the cynical manipulation of my compassion to force me to agree to bad policy. The Democrats encourage illegal immigration. They won’t allow Trump to erect a physical barrier to keep illegal immigrants out. They also oppose any effort to send the illegal immigrants back where they came from.

Last but not least, they won’t allow this administration to hold people in custody (or make them stay in Mexico) while their asylum claims are adjudicated. So the government has to release them and they never show up for their asylum proceedings.

Why are Democrats demanding open borders? All Trump is trying to do is enforce our existing laws.

BTW – That DOJ lawyer was defending the Obama administration.

      • As if any of us here are going to believe any source you post.

I look forward to the defeat of your cruel and predatory and altogether morally inferior culture. I will laugh as you dinosaurs sink into the tar pit.

      • Would you leave your kid with a cr@wd@d overnight? 😈

  3. Mannion posted this in Nov. 2017, but it remains all too relevant.

Republican Evangelicalism is not Christianity and Republican Evangelicals are not sharers in a worldwide faith along practiced by billions. They are members of a tribe and the superstitious, patriarchal, authoritarian demon-worship they call Christianity is the tribal religion meant not to bind them together in Christ but band them together against attack from anyone outside the tribe.

“Christian”, “American”, “Southern”, “Alabaman (or whoever)”, “Republican’, “Conservative”—these are words that best translate as “the People” or, more precisely, “the Human Beings.” All outsiders are by definition not of the People, not people, less than fully human if not wholly inhuman.

Only human beings—only “the People”—are entitled to live in the tribal lands, which they call “America,” and only the People—only members of the tribe—are entitled to the rights, benefits, and protections that are God’s gifts to the tribe along with the gift of the tribal lands.

That sounds like the cr@wd@d worldview, in a nutshell. 👿
