    • War Crime Apologia
One is not required to bomb hospitals, to torture, or to engage in mass killing of civilians when one is a chief of state. “My favorite war criminal did less war crimes than your war criminal,” is not a defense. That people feel the need to defend those who do such things when in power […]

SWF ISO Red Priestess of R’hllor.

Remember I told you that I was doing something unusual on Valentine’s Day? Well, I can finally tell you what it was.

Are you sitting down?

I was at my first chemotherapy session.

I know right?? I was surprised too. 2019 sucks is of low quality. The whole thing started going downhill just before Christmas. But why ruin a holiday?

I’m not going to go into details, oh best beloveds. Let’s just say that my doctors are optimistic but the next 6 months are going to make me feel like I’ll need a resurrection ceremony by Melisandre. If I recall correctly, she started by cutting Jon Snow’s hair and I’m about to lose mine in the next couple of weeks. Didn’t realize how expensive realistic wigs are. It’s just one of those things you never really think about. But I’ve got my eye on a pink one. This one is pretty close to my current length and style.

It would be my fun hair, not my serious hair. Can I get a show of hands?

So, there may be weeks in the future when I won’t feel like ranting about Trump. Fear not! I still loathe him with a white hot passion. (Whaddaya going to do about it MAGA heads?? It’s not illegal.) Rest assured that I have not lost interest or have become a Republican.

Speaking of Republicans, remember when I swore I would never date one? Ok, never say never. BTW, not all Republicans are MAGA heads. Who knew??

So, that’s it, friends! Hang in there with me. Friday afternoons are when they infuse me with weed killer. I’ll be checking in and maybe start a thread. I always look forward to reading your comments. Let’s keep it light and funny.

Love you all. 😘

I miss the honky tonks, Dairy Queens, and 7-Elevens

While we wait for Mueller’s report (will he or won’t he? Only his hairdresser knows for sure), can we get a show of hands for the Green New Deal? I’ve only read parts of it and the part about the farting cows seems vaguely like evangelical veganism to me. But the rest of it? Like reducing fossil fuel emissions by 40% by 2030? Yeah, I’m totally onboard with that.

The green new deal could change the economy rapidly as well. Think of all the alternate renewable energy sources that will need technicians, installers, specialists all over the country. We could revolutionize the solar panel industry, mass transportation, broadband internet. Who wouldn’t want that?

Trump made a really stupid comment the other day about how the green new dealers “want to take away your planes”. This is a man who doesn’t read anything. A couple of years ago, I read about how planes will not be able to fly in certain places, like TEXAS, if the weather gets too hot. The air will be too thin. It’s a physics thing. Someone should clear this up for the Texans, who will be stuck in TEXAS during the summers. Where is Beto when you need him??

I’m shocked by the number of Democrats who should know better who are scoffing and rolling their eyes at the Green New Deal. Did they forget about how at the turn of the last century, we were still using horses and carriages? How about back in the 80’s we were still using landline touch phones? The only thing preventing the Green New Deal from getting a fair shake is the lack of enthusiasm, curiosity and love of a challenge among our Congressional dinosaurs. You don’t have to be young to find problem solving fun and I’m not voting for anyone who tries to placate the masses by making fun of the Green New Deal. If you don’t like it, come up with better solutions. Same with Medicare for All and affordable 4 year colleges. I have zero patience for pandering to the white working class male these days. His refusal to evolve and acknowledge his changing environment, in terms of climate, economy or diversity, is a danger to the rest of us.

Anyway, where else are you gonna go? We’re not going to colonize Mars by 2030.
