Cookies, Snoopy, holiday stuff

Trumpcast ran a letter from a Mueller junky this morning that is hilarious. I’m going to try to sneak Maddow into my earbuds while I’m making cookies and doing that whole Christmas thing.

I just can’t quit you, Bob Mueller.

In the meantime, here’s what we’re listening to on the way to the store for butter, sprinkles and chocolate.

  1. RD, it looked like everybody on TV was repeating what Preet Bharara said on his podcast (the one you linked with Nanjiani) about impeachment.

  2. Why does Anderson Cooper stutter and stammer and have such difficulty in getting out words and how has he survived on TV without the gift of the gab? I can barely watch his spectacle of mumbling and struggling for a few seconds. And, I caught MAGA Maggie snapping at Toobin, ‘one sec, Jeff’ when he tried to interject and she was not saying anything of substance. Surprise, surprise.

  3. Bernie didn’t vote for Magnitsky’s act. One of only two. Why is that? He is also one guy who has not fully denounced what Russia did in 2016 and beyond.

    • He also continually (even now) said that we should focus less on Russia and more on whatever he wanted to talk about about, which has always been a recitation of complaints without feasible solutions. His followers have followed his lead, and the Bernie wing always complains about Russia being an issue. Actually, the only political person who warned about all of this was Hillary, who was largely ignored, of course, and even mocked for it by some of the media.

  4. yes! go after his brand.

  5. RD, you’ve been highlighting some great ’60’s songs lately. I particularly liked “Do You Know What I Mean?” by Lee Michaels, had not heard that for quite a while. “Friday On My Mind,” even though you didn’t play that one. Now “Snoopy” by the Royal Guardsmen, that one a particular reminder of what felt like a more innocent time. Actually, I just miss “Top 40” music stations, even though I always hoped to hear “deep album cuts.” which only very few DJs would play. ’60’s music was the best, of course.

    • I love the snoopy vs the Red Baron songs. I was a little kid in the 60s so Do You Know What I Mean was over my head. But “10,20,30,40,50 or more…”, catchy lyrics, you can dance to it, all my friends loved it. Who wouldn’t want their own Sopwith Camel?

      • At about the same time, there was a group which called themselves the Sopwith Camel! That’s how popular Snoopy was then. They had a sort of hit with “Hello,Hello,” a catchy sort of throwback song, like a few of that time.

  6. Even the head of state, but then what?! I don’t think that part is all figured out.

  7. Did anyone see AM Joy-less this morning? (Where is Joy by the way, I miss her?) Jonathan Capeheart started with my favorite lawyers and my favorite ex-CIA spook Maicolm Nance. Barbara McQuade made an analogy that I have been waiting for someone to make for a long time now, something like this: if an immigrant lies or commits a crime to become a US citizen, they are stripped of their citizenship: if a person lies and commits crimes to become President, should he be stripped of the Presidency? Hell, yeah. We know he is illegitimate, Mueller is going to show that he committed crimes and conspired to defraud the American people to become president; and, hopefully, that he knowingly did so with Russia. our sworn enemy. An extra-constitutional solution is required. In NC, with enough evidence of voter fraud, they are looking at a do-over election, preferably without Harris. I am still thinking that there should be a simple yes/no referendum vote on Hillary finishing out his term. If she doesn’t get a majority, then follow the line of succession in Congress.

  8. And, I believe, Bernie also voted twice against Russian sanctions. I am still hoping and waiting that more will come out about Tad Devine’s work on three of Yanukovich’s campaigns, the last one with Manafort.

Remember when Bernie waited a very long time to concede to Hillary and continued to bash her, not Trump. I think that was the same time that Trump, Manafort and Co. were waiting to hear about emails that they thought would totally destroy her. So Bernie tried to keep himself the likely candidate to replace her. Just my thought.

  9. The unjustly infamous “Louie Louie”.

  10. Why does this not surprise us? There is a blackmail story like this with every complicit member of the GOP, and every other person supporting trump.

  11. White billionaires penance, sitting on the concrete floor.
