    • Disney Explains That The Reason Poor Working People Are Poor Is Executives
One of the most extraordinary threads I’ve read recently is Abigail Disney doing the math on how Disney corporation could raise the income of its bottom tier workers. I’m sure the math is complicated. And no one is complaining about pay at the middle and upper levels of the company. So let’s say you just […]

Take it down.

Hey, oh best beloveds, I’ve had enough of Trump, how about you? Do you find yourself wondering what it will take to get rid of Donald Trump?

Is it not enough that he thinks he’s Jesus and therefore above reproach from the courts? Are you disgusted at the way he made the rest of us complicit in the murder and dismemberment of a journalist for cheap gas? (You should have gotten a clue about what some sectors of the American public will tolerate for cheap gas during the run up to the Iraq war).

I think he’s pushed me over the edge. I will be restless until he’s gone.

But tomorrow, it’s Thanksgiving — and my birthday.

Yes, every decade or so, there is a cosmic alignment of 11/22 with the 4th Thursday in November.

So, I declare Thanksgiving a Trump Free Zone in honor of my birthday!

I will be 24. Why do you ask?

Oh, and the White Album is 50 tomorrow:

  1. Happy Birthday!!!

and I was feeling exactly the way you wrote; just get rid of the cockroach, somehow, someway, any way.

  2. Happy Birthday, RD! May the Ascended Madoka bless you!

    sorry about your cake…

  3. Happy Birthday, RD! I hope that you have a very nice day altogether.

A group I liked in the early ’80’s was Altered Images. They had a song on their first album called “Happy Birthday,” which I actually like better than the Beatles’ song, but that’s open for debate. Clare Grogan., the star of the group, said decades later that the bandmate who wrote their song had the bright idea that if he wrote something called “Happy Birthday,” it would get perennial airplay, and he was right, though of course it is not played nearly as much as the Beatles song.

  4. Don’t try to substitute road runner for the turkey.

Bad things happen to people who do. 😛

  5. Happy Birthday, Toots!

  6. Happy Birthday, RD! 24, you were a child bride? It’s how old you feel inside, right! RD have a doubly joyful day and Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am very thankful for RD and all of you!

  7. Off to visit family later today.

I wanna know how the little blonde girl with the big hair intends to eat that turkey through that gas mask. 😛

  8. Happy Birthday. Hope you have a great and wonderful day. Also, Happy Thanksgiving.

  9. My morning started with this, Saad Gul’s thread and this reply about Maugham’s story “The Verger.” I have had at least one or two blessings in disguise in my life. What about you?

    • And I relate the Gul thread content about his grandfather to my husband. He immediately says “The Verger” {must say that bugger (said very fondly) knows too much, :)}

Here it is if you want to read it (link from that tweet reply): http://www.sinden.org/verger.html

  10. Happy Birthday and many happy returns of the day (since you are 24)!
