*** MANDOS POST *** The Hungarian government, led by Victor Orbán, the great defender of the worker from the hordes of cheap labour and cultural contamination knocking on Hungary’s doors, has decided to pass a law that: Drastically raises mandatory overtime for 250 to 400 hours. Allows employers to bypass union negotiations and make agreements […]

  2. Why is USA Today publishing trump’s op-ed, full of lies?

    • Perhaps because who would believe tRump wrote an op ed in the first place 😉

    • Basically, they let him run a free political ad filled with lies. And it will get Republicans some votes, as credulous people will believe it. So this is what we have in the media now, very close to state-run media that they have in totalitarian countries. If the media is the tool of the fascists, then we are living in the Iron Curtain. I don’t think there has ever been a time in our history when a national publication printed a propaganda piece from a President, which of course he did not write, though that is beside the point.

  3. Media is the problem, right now, in America!

  4. On the Republicans’ side, there are of course the Republicans. There is the hundreds of billions of dollars of Republican money, dark money from this country and abroad. There is now the media, which is dedicated to disseminating Republican propaganda. People wonder why they are this way, why USA Today would publish a propaganda piece full of lies today, to be read by possibly millions of people in hotel lobbies. The simplest and most obvious answer is the right one: that they want Trump and Republicans to win. They wanted Trump to win in 2016, and that was why the major media gave him all that coverage, Money may have played some part in it, but they favored Trump, just like they favored Bush. Democrats never attack the media in general, it is the Republicans who have done that for decades, to “game” the refs ,and to give cover to the fact that the media helps them win.

Other things which Democrats somehow have to overcome include vote suppression (going on right now, via purging of voter rolls, and limiting polling stations), obscene gerrymandering, such that Democrats have to win the overall Congressional ballot by at least 8% to win 25 seats, whereas Republicans won that ballot by 1% in 2010 and picked up around 70 seats. The Supreme Court, which will validate all of the hacking, purging and suppression. It is an extraordinarily immense task, the playing field is that tilted in their favor. If the media is in no way a neutral arbiter, if they publish campaign rally “op-ed pieces” from Trump a month before the election, then I do not know how we can ever have a free and fair election again.

    • Makes me glad I am old… I feel sorry for those who will have to live another 30-40 years with what tRump leaves us
