    • Here was my neighborhood last night
Because the family of a mentally ill Philadelphia man holding a knife called for an ambulance, and the cops showed up. They claim he “charged” them and they shot and killed him. The mental health unit is a pilot program and isn’t paid to work on the weekends. Protesters didn’t do this, looters did. (Maybe … Continue reading Here was my neighborhood last nigh […]

    • Interview Part 2: Politics Thru Climate Change
This second excerpt from my interview is more interesting and longer. This is the second clip from my interview with Ian Welsh (Ian blogs at ianwelsh.net). Oh best beloveds, thank you so much for the vacation funds. Last night, I slept better than I have for seven years. I am sharing a beach house with some lovely people. There’s a pool, a hot tub and the ocean. It is beautiful. I got up at dawn to see it. The weather was perfect today. I swam and napped. Annnnnd, that was pretty much it. It’s just what I needed.

I can’t tell you how grateful I am for the friends I have made at this blog. I love each and every one of you.

No evacuation order yet. We are hoping Florence will take her time. We are making brownies, tacos, drinks and listening to music.

Love you.

  1. Glad to hear it. Have fun, RD!

  2. I am glad that you are having a nice time! Obviously, this is very salubrious for you, try to stay as long as you can. The ocean looks beautiful, I hope there are some shorebirds to see. You are helping me realize that I need a vacation, too, somewhere were I can hear the ocean all day.

  3. Enjoy your vacation. May Florence find her way out to sea quickly.

To the extent that you may (or may not) be keeping up with news, this op-ed column from the NY Times cites tRumps recent attacks on Bruce Ohr as part of a pattern of trying to discredit government officials who are knowledgeable on Russia, organized crime and money laundering.

Mueller’s mandate does not include investigating tRumps businesses, but a Democratic majority in the House after the mid-terms could start an investigation. And I love the title given to the column.
