Be aware. The mfers (Huckabee Sr and Diaper Don) are circulating a lie about the restaurant owner following Sanders to a restaurant across the street (there is no restaurant across the street). This has all the appearance of a big lie because Huckabee prefaced it with a big tell saying ‘this has not been told anywhere,’ (yeah, because it never happened?). Logically, the owner was very discreet in asking Sanders to leave in the first place, why would she follow them to another restaurant? Trump mfers are heinous.

I am thinking of all the fine human beings (lawyers) who rushed to the airports to work pro bono when Muslim travel ban was signed by trump.
The definition of the term ‘law’ is that every time it is applied we get the same results, predictability is key regardless of everything else. SCOTUS went back on their own decision in ‘Masterpiece’ — I suppose it depends on the composition of the court (which is a travesty).
The idiocy of the Court is that the Commissioner’s statement weighed more than trump’s. Is trump some kind of ‘too big to fail’ for these people?
Oh goody! This SCOTUS will at least not agree with trump if he sets up concentration camps! How noble of them! Baby jails don’t count.
Fascinating! With this rich history of intellect and justice, the country still has to go through a Roberts court and ‘trump’.

The majority of Trump Chumps, being not truly rich, even when they are affluent, will ultimately suffer from wingnut SCOTUS decisions, but they are too mean and stupid to realize that.
“Mean and stupid” is summed up in a fine old phrase we use in the Arkanshire” “He’d cut off his nose to spite his face.”
1. If democracy is ended,, but somehow there still are history books, it will be written that the moments which led to its end were the 2000 Bush v. Gore decision, when the Supreme Court made a completely political ruling which had no judicial logic whatsoever, because they wanted the Republican candidate to win;. and the 2016 refusal of the Senate to hold hearings on the Supreme Court nominee of the President of the opposition party; a refusal which the ever-gracious President politely acceded to, rather than fight, simply appoint the nominee, and see what the 4-4 Supreme Court would do about it.
2. On a more optimistic note, the travel ban can be rescinded by the next President, as it was by Executive Order, not a law passed by Congress. It is important that this be explained to people. Change the President, and the ban will be revoked.
3. On a less optimistic note, that would require a Democratic President, and there is no assurance whatsoever that the next elections will be free and fair, or that the Democrats will be smart enough to nominate someone who can win at the national level.
4. On an imperative note, everyone must vote, with the knowledge that if people do not vote, there is no democracy left. They must get all their acquaintances to vote, and so on. Everyone must vote, even the Purity Left , which I know would prefer to still wait for Godot, or perhaps float away on a haze of marijuana smoke.
5. The people who couldn’t bother to vote last time, and who did not comprehend that the Supreme Court was at stake for maybe 50 years, are probably too stupid to understand what their laziness or spitefulness has caused. Of course, the media did not bother to inform them that this was the crux of the election, not emails or tapes.
6. Note to the media which is hopelessly clueless, the Supreme Court did not “vindicate” Trump’s travel ban, no more than the Supreme Court “vindicated ” the decision of the Republicans running Florida to hold up the vote count and to throw out legal ballots, in 2000. The Supreme Court has for a couple of decades ceased to be an independent body, as was intended by the Framers. It is a political arm of the Republican Party, as the High Court is Russia is a political arm of the Putin regime. Republicans destroyed the independence of the Supreme Court by appointing only judges from the Federalist Society, with an entire history of Far-Right decisions and papers.
7. Apparently the Supreme Court argues that bakers have the “religious freedom” to deny service to people whose lifestyle they don’t like; and entities have the “religious freedom” to deny information to women seeking it regarding abortion choices; but the President can ban anyone of a certain religion from coming into this country, and it is legal. But then the Court is not really concerned about consistency, they simply fill up some pages with words to cover a decision which they were going to make anyway.
8 The way out of this? Long and arduous, but not impossible Elect Democrats all over the country. Statehouses controlled by Democrats will end vote suppression laws in their states, and do things to protect the vote, even paper ballots. If the Democrats somehow won the Senate, they could block Trump Court appointees, if they have the will to do it. And a Democratic President in 2021 will appoint liberal Justices, will void all of the Trump Executive Orders via replacement Executive Orders, and will vastly change policies. So despair is both unwarranted and absolutely self-defeating. But if people who are upset and even despairing, will not vote in every single election, and urge other people to vote, then we may as well move to some other place.
My error: the Travel Ban was passed by Congress, so it would have to be repealed by a Democratic Congress and signed by a Democratic President.
The media is not clueless. The media owners, like their fellow McDucks, fear that if the Democrats ever gain a power monopoly at the Federal level, they might feel bold enough to raise taxes on McDucks.
Hence, those McDucks who own the media let their employees know, subtly or not, that they’d better not report anything that might make enough citizens angry enough to throw out the GOP altogether,if they want to keep their relatively cushy jobs.
The McDucks would sell their souls to Lucifer (if he is a literal being, rather than, as I suspect, a metaphor), and certainly are selling our country to Mommie Dearest Russia, rather than give up their Precioussssss tax cuts. 😡

This blogpost was a chance for people to rest up from politics for a moment and think of summery things. I hope some commenters will take a look around and make some summery comments about the summery things they see all around them.
Nicole Wallace is doing a fantastic job on her show right now. Steve Schmidt calling it “designer racism” meaning that real Muslim countries (perpetrators like Saudis from whom he derives benefit) are not included in this ban but purely some random Muslim countries to placate and fearmonger his ignorant base. The other thing they are talking about is how this SCOTUS decision emboldens him to implement his racist bigoted cruel agenda further.
At least this is some good news today.
