Never heard of this before because IANAS (I am not a shrink). But there’s a lot to unpack here in this psychoanalysis of Arya Stark from Game of Thrones specifically about black/white thinking, life force vs death, us vs them, love and devaluation. George RR Martin is masterful in writing his characters having good and bad sides, just like we are all good and bad.
We all have to decide how much bad we can live with.

Off topic–or is it?
I just had a thought over on Wonkette:
Speculation: People who go to Hell are happy there, because a 24-7 predatory, authoritarian, hierarchical society is THEIR idea of a perfect, joyous world.
I thought that authoritarian followers ended up in pastures because they want to live like cows. Eating grass.
Sunshine and plenty of food and everyone looking and acting exactly alike.
OOOOOOH. Can’t wait to read this. Thanks, RD!
I loved this video. The two narrators have a great interaction and GRRM’s books are full of complex characters. Plus, I’d never heard of the schizo Paranoid Position but it explains so much.
