Stroll: what Trump is not

Fine and Mellow.

My eyes are burning. One too many labs today. I’m going home to find that bottle of hourbon my sister put away last Saturday.

Billy Holliday, Lester Young, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Love is just like the faucet

It turns off and on

Julius Krein wrote an op/ed piece in the NYTimes saying he sorely regrets voting for Trump.

Love is just like the faucet

It turns off and on

Meanwhile, Gail Collins wrote “Gosh, I had NO idea Trump would turn out to be such an awful president. Who could have predicted??”

Sometimes when you think it’s on baby

It has turned off and gone

In other news, Bonnie Tyler is going to sing Total Eclipse of the Heart on a cruise ship – during the total eclipse.

Who could forget that totally over the top ballad about a headmistress having a Mary Kay LeTourneau moment with some of her students?

I can!

But the literal version is funny as hell:

Dance: Everything Goes but the 25th Amendment.

Need some pep in your step? I will this morning. I finally broke down and bought a new pair of high heeled sandals. Gonna see if I break a leg between the bus stop and the office. Sure I could bust out my ballerinas but what would be the fun of that?

I would describe this song as Animal Collective meets Phillip Glass and the go to a pool party together to dance. You know, one of those cool pool parties that I’ll never be invited to?

Ezra Klein and Chris Hayes talk about the orange elephant in the room: what to do with Donald.

The sensible thing would be to invoke the 25th amendment and get him out of the White House before something bad happens because someday, people around the world are going to wonder why we didn’t do everything we could to disempower him before he killed hundreds of thousands of people.

But somehow the 25th amendment seems a little too facile for an office with the weightiness of the POTUS. That leaves us waiting around for the Republicans in charge of Capitol Hill to start impeachment hearings. Since it looks like Trump obstructed justice, it shouldn’t be difficult. But will they do it? So far, they’re more concerned with deferring to

authority to worry about the future dead.

Arguing in favor of white supremacists, Nazis and anti-semites is a like defending syphillis, gonorrhea and chlamydia while refusing to take the antibiotics.

If you don’t clear that shit up, it spreads.
