    • Flynn flip? Sure looks like it!
It’s starting to look like Robert Mueller may have given the Resistance another reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving. The New York Times is reporting that Flynn’s lawyers have notified Trump’s legal team that they can no longer talk about the Mueller probe. This is the clearest indication that Flynn is either a cooperating witness […]

    • Trump’s Policy on NAFTA is Mostly Correct
Yeah, I know, Trump is wrong on everything. But I agree with Thomas Walkom on NAFTA. The bottom line is that what Trump wants is what the left should want, and if it doesn’t, it isn’t the economic left. And Trudeau’s pretty face and lovely abs don’t change that. Trump wants to: raise the minimum […]

What fresh Hell?

Read this piece (of work) from Chris Cilizza at CNN if you can stomach it. He interviews two guys (they’re ALWAYS guys) who place the blame on Hillary for the fact that we got Trump and nothing but hard ass Republicans for as far as the eye can see.

Let’s break it down point by point, shall we?

1.) The data analytics were off. Yes!  They were!  Nate Silver at 538 said in about August that there was a lot of volatility in the model. For whatever reason, the model was not behaving as expected. He started to push the panic button just about the time the Comey letter came out. Put that together with the volatility and that suggests that any flap of a butterfly wing somewhere in Venezuela was going to have an outsized effect on the polls.

Yes, the MEDIA expected her to win. That’s why they carelessly kept dumping on her. Journalists, like many Americans, can not interpret data. They need to learn so this doesn’t happen again. But, hey, it was so much fun to beat her up, amirite?

2.) Her campaign was in disarray. I saw no evidence of that as a volunteer, even though I think it underestimated the technical capabilities of its campaign volunteer staff and relied too heavily on paper.

But the authors seem to have this idea that the chaos in Clinton’s campaign was worse than in Trump’s campaign. I don’t know where they’re pulling this information. After all, Trump recast his Campaign manager THREE TIMES during the summer.  I don’t remember Clinton doing that.

So, you know, there’s that.

3.) Robbie Mook should have resigned because Hillary did a bad, bad thing with her email server.

What??

It was worse than colluding with the Russians to hack the DNC, flood Facebook with fake news stories and failing to release tax returns?  In what universe?  The Trump campaign was being investigated by the FBI, unbeknownst to the rest of us. But we just HAD to know what was in Clinton’s emails?

Someday, we’re going to have to have a discussion about trust and how badly the media has defined that word.

The whole interview is stupid, the book’s authors appear to have an agenda and, no doubt, there will be viewers and readers who will feel like their worst suspicions are confirmed.

It still boils down to the best candidate who has run for decades who was also a woman was forced to concede to the worst candidate we have ever had who happened to be a man. This despite having won more votes than he did and being more honest than he’ll ever be.

This is the world we live in.

  1. Parker Malloy has a thread on the idiot Cilizza where he showed up to beg for civility. No fucking civility for these stupid mfers.

And, have these ‘journalists’ heard of Trump-Russia? Can they ask the rightful question if Russia had not meddled (and propped up Bernie Sanders and his minions), would Hillary have lost? If they are going to fault Hillary based on anonymous sources (gossip), we should demand that they deal with reality.

  2. Media all around, CNN, NYT, and others are in self-protection mode because when the full extent of Trump-Russia comes out, people will start questioning the competence of these bastards, if not already.

    • That’s it precisely. They are attempting to cover their own incompetence by bashing Hillary. They act like abusive husbands screaming “she asked for it” after the guy wallops her across the face.

      • …the book’s authors appear to have an agenda…

To echo PM317 and GA6D, that agenda is: to cover the @$$es of the media and the Horseshoe Left. 😡

  3. So many questions about why Obama admin/DoJ didn’t do more to publicize GoP voter suppression shenanigans and the impact of the gutting of voting rights act, (if they did, I was not aware of it, educate me).

  4. Now would be a great time to write a book about what Hillary did RIGHT. If these asshats can shape the narrative with their drivel why can’t we do it on what really happened?

    • Seagrl, I agree with you. I’ve already thought of the of the angle if anyone serious wants to do this as a team. Disrupt the consensus “reality.” Ready to go.

    • Here is a good start:

    • Oh, one more idea… all Hillary supporters should think about running for office wherever they can. That is the best revenge against media fuckers to popularize and disseminate the idea of why we supported her.

  5. This was inevitable. The hatred of Hillary Clknton which permeated the media was not going to vanish, or somehow be replaced by mea culpas and sober reflection. It was simply going to transmute into savagely blaming her for losing.

If you despise someone, and they fail to achieve a goal, or have something bad happen to them, you blame them forr what happened, as if it were some kind of deserved fate. “We told you that Hillary was abad candidate.” “We said that Sanders should have been the nominee.” “We have been criticizing Clinton for years; see how we were right?” If someone points out that this is what spiteful children do, I would say that this is an appropraite comparison. They couldn’t wait to rush this pseudo-analysis out. When the few decent journalists like Joe Conason or Peter Daou or Eric Boehlert actually offer insightful analysis, no one will care, because the people’s appetite will have already been sated. Hillary lost the election (she probably actually won it, even electorally) because of voter suppression, the gutting of the VRA; massive Russian hacking, Facebook allowing millions of fake news stories to go out to voters. those stories a collaboration between Russian hackers and the Trump campaign which furnished them with the voter rolls; i.e., treason. And the FBI’s unprecedented intrusion. And as much as any of these, the media which treated Hillaryfor two decades like the Inquisition treated thousands of completely innocent people, by twisting their every statement and act; and finally burning them, and then praising themselves for having done it.

  6. From Jim Wright (of Stonekettle Station):

    The Hubris of Ignorance

    Hammer. Nail. Bang!

    • This cartoon comes from a different source, but it expresses the same criticism of the cherished USAmerican myth of the superiority of amateurs to professionals.

  7. “HClinton the best candidate run for decades”

HClinton was 1 of the worst D candidates in decades, with the 2nd worst approval/disapproval rating in history going back to 1980, only ConManD0n had a worse rating.

Rep. Gabbard, at age 37, has already shown superior judgement, intelligence, & dilligence in helping the 99% USian people, than HClinton ever did, without needing any of HClinton’s nepotism to do so. Fact.

Watch Gabbard advocate for HR676 MedicareForAll here, which he cosponsored. 99 (51%) of the 193 House Ds have cosponsored HR676, despite the immoral, judgement-lacking, short-sighted, donor-owned puppet HClinton claiming in 2016 “MedicareForAll will NEVER EVER happen”

    • typo, which Gabbard/SHE cosponsored. #ImWithHerGabbard

    • Joffrey, is that you?

Or has PND adopted a new name?

Oh wait–this is probably a new visitor, as either of those veteran scamps I mentioned would know that they’re fishing with the wrong bait here. 😛

    • Oh jesus. I predicted this. Bernie Bros have found their 2020 candidate. It will be a cold day in hell before I ever vote for Tulsi Gabbard

      • fw https://twitter.com/kthalps/status/856508029470167040 a tweet from Katie Halper, White feminist & Sanders voter

@kthalps : “The #bernieBro myth was debunked by a Harvard Harris poll and yet… they persisted. #TheResistanceToFacts ”

Approval Rating by demographic: Sanders is the most popular active US politician, with a 57% approval rating

        Men 55%
WOMEN 58% (note to the portion of Hillary voters that are also Misandrists: larger approval among women than among “Bros”)
        18-34 age 62%
        African-American 73%
        Latino 68%
        Asian-American 62%
        Whites 52%
        Democrats 80%

        • IIRC, Mr. Twain said there were three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. 😛
