Protesters are greeting departing Senators at Ronald Reagan Airport right now to let them know how awful their health care bill is. Up to 2 dozen now start chant: “say no to Trumpcare.” Failed to track down Grassley earlier. pic.twitter.com/2tZ0CkpSK0 – Elana Schor (@eschor) June 22, 2017 Ehhh, not so much. • You Can’t Stay in the EU or Single Market And Be For Labour’s Manifesto
So, 30 Labour MPs have signed a letter calling for Corbyn to stay in the EU’s single market as a member. This is not possible IF Labour’s manifesto is meant seriously. EU single market law is explicitly neoliberal, it does not allow for things that Labour wants to do, like nationization. Access to the single […]

Welp

Just a heads up to those people who voted against Hillary because it was just so damned exciting: all three branches of the federal government are controlled by Republicans now. Anything that happens from this point forward is their fault.

Once your erections deflate, you’re going to have one hell of a post-coital headache.

Get back to us later.

  1. What erections? 😈

    • The Make America Great Again crowd has been bouncing around like they took an overdose of cialis.

      • Yeah, it’s sickening. There was that article on the Trump trolls yesterday and the social media MAGA empire which is, uh, paid for.

        • Nooooo. You mean Trump had to pay for that enthusiasm?? It didn’t come from the grassroots screaming for “CHANGE!!”?

  2. My first post about this election was simply two words: Supreme. Court. I guess there are a lot of stupid people in this country who don’t understand what that means.

I’ve also loved the BernieBros this week – who are spinning Russian hacking as a most grievance sin aimed at Bernie Sanders instead of a foreign country interfering with our (so-called) democracy.

May their 2017, 2018 and 2019 be filled with a great pox.

    • And BS was a Democrat only for the “free publicity.” Now he’s the face of a party he disdains, but less than the R’s?? He loved being hoisted as a contender by the media for the horse race = ad $$.These men love their Hitlerian rallies. No need to relate one-on-one, no social skills needed. He rarely changed his stump speech. His slogans crossed over into election fraud and were new to those who weren’t around for the first rendition in the early 70s when the “revolution” was sure to come. It’s all about Bernie. His most obnoxious followers were also non-Dems plus Rand Paul sorts.

    • You do realize the amount of chutzpah involved in haughtily demanding that the people you got caught red-handed cheating ignore the fact that you got caught red-handed cheating them because it was cheating to catch you at it?

      • I have no idea what you just wrote. I need a diagram.

        • Oh, I think you understand it perfectly well.

          • Lol! You give me too much credit.

          • I’m guessing s/he belongs to the “Bernie wouldawonnit!” brigade.

          • One of the drawbacks of being a successful research chemist is that you don’t get to feign stupidity and be believed.

You really don’t see the hypocrisy of “How dare you catch me cheating! That’s CHEATING!”

        • Trust me, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t read minds.

          • @RD: In XFR’s case, if you could, I doubt it would take you long. 😈

Again, I’m guessing XFR is a Sandernista who labors under the twin delusions that the evil DNC cheated hir Dear Leader of the nomination, and that Dear Leader would have defeated Pumpkinhead in a landslide. 😆

          • Ohhhhhh, I get it now. God, I’m getting dense.
            Been distracted this week.
            So glad you’re here ibw.

          • D’awww, it’s nice to be appreciated.

          • The emails exposed that Clinton had been secretly given the primary debate questions in advance. In other words, she cheated.

But for the sake of the argument, if it’s all merely a BernieBro “delusion”, if nothing untoward came out in the Podesta emails, just how, then, did leaking the emails “taint” the election result?

          • Lolololol!!! You must be joking. Have you ever had the opportunity to ask Hillary Clinton a question that she hasn’t seen in advance? I have. I was completely blown away by her depth of knowledge and preparation. You’re wrong if you think Hillary needed anything from Donna Brazile. More like the other way around.

As for Bernie, “I’m going to vote for a atheist Jewish socialist”, said no one ever. He was right about income inequality but you have not been paying attention to how Hillary Clinton was taken down.

Bernie would have been even easier.

          • Cheating when you don’t have to is even dumber than cheating when you do…

          • More likely she was offered some information and could take it or leave it.
I think the problem with you die hards is you have no idea how smart and experienced Hillary is.
It explains so much of your cluelessness.

  3. I went out last night to see “King Lear,” to try to cheer myself up. Seriously; not a comedy line. Imagine that.

I know this is not helpful to the larger cause, but right now I am determined to defeat any candidate for anything which the Sanders wing strongly supports. It was awful enough that they did not vote in large numbers; that some of them had to keep derogating and mocking Hillary throughout the campaign. Now we see an article saying, “Team Bernie Says Clinton Ignored Warnings on Swing States,” or words to that effect. And what is “Team Bernie?” Were they out in the field? Were they telling their own people to not vote for Johnson and Stein? And then five of them humiliating Hillary by taking away her electoral votes, so that in future years, people asking, “Why did Clinton lose five electoral votes?” will be told that she was unpopular with her own party. As bad as things may well get, and as much as Democrats need to work harder than ever to turn tnis around, I will not forget this, and I will do what I can to keep these people from having any influence in the party. And that includes Keith Ellison, unless he condemns this in strong terms.

  4. To win by almost 3 million votes when having to deal with “free lunch” demagogue Sanders who appealed to the naive young with college debt and recycled late 60s/early 70s slogans, then to have Trump as an opponent–someone whose outrageous comments overpowered the “news” of the moment. Then Comey (twice) as part of the FBI anti-Hillary faction, then Russia and Wikileaks.

Huff Post–the subpoena that rocked the election is legal garbage–

Imagine if she had been running in what we used to term a “normal” election?

  5. So… it indeed looks like Mok won.

And… quite frankly, I think I’ll take my chances with the rampaging solar demon. It still beats the prospect of contending with legions of Queen Promethium’s victorious robot hordes. :/
