  1. Given that they control the White House and the Congress, I’d say it’s both.

    • Who controls the WH and Congress, Wall Street?

      • The Republicans. Just because Obama has a “D” by his name doesn’t mean he’s a Democrat.

        • Wall Street controls both alleged parties (actually two wings of the Property Party, h/t Gore Vidal).

          • That’s certainly true, but I submit that anyone who publicly idolizes Ronald Reagan is (by definition) a Republican.

  2. I will be surprised if 1 ReThug in either the House or Senate offers a “clean” specific Repeal of the ACA Individual Mandate bill.

An actual “onerous regulation” that actually affects or potentially affects the majority actual human biological people (as oppose to Fake Corporate “Persons”)… Re-pube-Lie-cans I expect will forget about this albatross now that they are in power.

Of course 0bama Reagan V brutally enforces the Individual Mandate, while delaying (eliminating?) the Corporate Mandate as soon as Wack Arnolds’ (or whatever F500 Megacorps) lobbyists cried him a river. The dreaded “Uncertainty Genie” does not ever threaten us 99%er Actual Biological Persons, apparently, only the 1% & Corps. For instance, the DC criminals imply there is no Uncertainty Genie that challenges a worker, even a PhD-holding worker, for a significant education, training, work experience; that can be thrown out like garbage for whichever random reason including offshore outsourcing, & told to retrain for another occupation, which MIGHT generate employment & MIGHT NOT require another garbagation & forced random re-occupationing at any random time & whim & preference of the Oligarchs

If H Clinton wants to disprove the likely scenario that she is Reagan VI, she needs to publicly & frequently support Medicare For All, VA For All, or at least an option for ALL USians to buy-in to MC or VA at no more than 130% of the Actuarial Cost of these programs.

Elizabeth Warren is solid on financial svcs regulation, but if she is not Reagan Light, she & any other poli-trick-ian needs to support such a Civilized Non-Barbaric health policy.

At least Bernie Sanders, iirc, has stated he supports Medicare For All. Hopefully this is genuine, & not mereley the Rotating Hero (props to Jane Hamsher on the lingo) part of the D kayfabe (props to Lambert) show

Where are the Fake Propertarians “Libertarians”, aka Feudalists, aka Oligarch knob-slobbers, silent on the issue of health care costs. Can we even say the US has actual property rights, when at least 80% if not 99% of USians are subject to bankruptcy, even if they have “health insurance”, of extortion of the Sickcare Industrial Complex Cartel, charging 2X other rich nation prices like Canada.

When the median adult USian wealth is ~$40K, & the Sickcare Mafia extortions can routinely be >$200K even with the fradulent non-thorough “health insurance”, imho the US is NOT a nation with Property Rights.

    Sorry for my rant…

Happy New Year to all in 2015!

    • Of course they won’t. Why would they? It’s their bill. Obama just conspired with them to put a Democratic label on the bill, and since the Democrats all voted for it, it really is their albatross.

Obamacare was installed as a “stub”, to be purified and expanded into pure Heritage Care. Any changes the Rs and their D collaborators make to Obamacare will be to make it more purely Heritage Care. And the Forced Mandate is the heart of Heritage Care.

I further predict that any further cases reaching the Supreme Court about Obamacare will be decided in favor of Obamacare. The Roberts Court will do anything to preserve the Forced Mandate, just as they did anything to uphold Ocare and the Forced Mandate to begin with.

It is part of what Obama expects to be so well paid for after leaving office.

      • Besides that, it (like Roe v. Wade) is an excellent fundraising tool. They’d be fools to try to reverse either of them,

        • And of course the Ds will use the never-ending R “threat” to “repeal Ocare” to keep raising funds too.
          One back scratches the other.
Meanwhile every time the Ds secretly conspire with the Rs to engineer a “crisis”, they will “solve” the tension by stopping the evil Rs from repealing Ocare and compromise on applying all the steps, one step at a time, to turn Ocare into pure Heritage Care. And come back to their base and brag about how a spirit of compromise saved the Rs from repealing Ocare altogether.
