Snowden granted 1-year asylum in Russia, leaves airport
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has been granted temporary asylum in Russia and is allowed to enter the country’s territory.
The whistleblower has been granted temporary political asylum in Russia, Snowden’s legal representative Anatoly Kucherena said, with his words later confirmed by Russia’s Federal Migration service.
“I have just handed over to him papers from the Russian Immigration Service. They are what he needs to leave the transit zone,” he added.
Kucherena showed a photocopy of the document to the press. According to it, Snowden is free to stay in Russia until at least July 31, 2014. His asylum status may be extended annually upon request.

With his newly-awarded legal status in Russia, Snowden cannot be handed over to the US authorities, even if Washington files an official request. He can now be transported to the United States only if he agrees to go voluntarily.

I put “we” in quotation marks because of course, the govt. of the USA does not belong to Us The Peasants, and did not then. It belonged, and still belongs, to the Malefactors Of Great Wealth, who bought it.
I suspect that the global empire of the MOGW, or the US govt, which is that empire’s chief enforcer and wholly owned subsidiary, can’t be destroyed by any human action.
Nonetheless, I also suspect that empire is doomed.
The continuance of the Empire depends on the perpetual extraction of non-renewable resources, and their consumption in highly polluting fashion.
Hence, Mommie Dearest Nature will eventually destroy Uncle Sam and his master, the false god Mammon.

Before I shuffle off this mortal coil there are things to do and see. Thought I’d share a few.
Walk through a seedy Chicago neighborhood and see Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize in a pawnshop window.
Travel to Las Vegas to watch Harry Reid park cars at a casino.
Drive around Oakland and see Nancy Pelosi selling Oranges on a street corner.
Does this mean he’ll be able to fly to Venezuela or another country that’s offered him asylum?
And, the closure of all those embassy’s was timed perfectly to convince those who weren’t sure about the NSA spying tactics that it’s a good thing the gov’t is monitoring EVERYONE.
