Congratulations to Elizabeth and the Two Tammys!

This goes out to Elizabeth Warren who won her first term as Senator from Massachusetts

Tammy Baldwin, the first lesbian LGBT Senator (that we know of) from the great state of Wisconsin

Tammy Duckworth who kicked the ass of Joe Walsh in Illinois to win her first term as Representative from Illinois.

Going step out, steppin’ out, Ladies Night! Oh what a night!

  1. 🙂 Did each of these 3 women replace men? Does that mean that we’re close to a 5% female Senate? Wow.

  2. Interesting, Romney is leading Obama by ~184,000
votes so this may be the third presidential
election where the winner lost the popular vote

    • Maybe it’s time to retire the electoral college. I’m not saying that because I favor Romney. It’s just that we don’t live in the 18th century anymore. We can get to Washington in just a few hours.

      • The last I heard, Obama will win a razor-thin majority of the popular vote after all–unfortunately, since if Obama won the EV while Romney won the PV, the GOP might get behind a constitutional amendment to scrap the Electoral College in favor of direct popular election of the president.

  3. Shell-y, Shell-y. Come on, Nevada, push us up to 19% in the Senate!

  4. Whoo-Hoo! Could we make it to 20% in the Senate tonight with Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota? Is such a thing possible??

  5. Am I the only one who remembers people telling Liz W. to forget the Senate and primary Obama! lol

    congrats to her

    • Yes, I do…she doesn’t need Bill Clinton to shore up the base, because she has always held Democratic values. I still remember that Obama didn’t support her…yup, it is all about him, I will have to see him working till the wee hours ala Clinton to believe he has embraced the Democratic platform (Oh, does he still have the Reagan is my idol poster up?) and willing to work for working class people.

    • I still wish someone had primaried Obama. The old net roots just ain’t what they used to be.

  6. I was thrilled about Elizabeth’s win, Tammy’s too and over the top to see Joe Walsh (Who didn’t pay child support, yet attacking poor people.) out of office. Joe Walsh was such a sore point to many of us that saw him as lecturing to us, while skipping out on his child support payments, then trying to hide behind ‘It’s a PRIVATE MATTER’? Yea, well so is women’s health care and I hope he finally got that message!

  7. DOES IT NOT BOTHER ANYONE THAT THIS WOMEN LIED ABOUT BIENG A MINORITY TO GET AHEAD. STOP MAKING A BIG DEAL ABOUT THE FACT SHE IS A WOMEN AND BE MORE CONCERNED THAT SHE HAS NO MORALS. SHE HAD NOTHING TO DO ABOUT BEING BORN A WOMEN BUT HAS A LOT TO DO ABOUT HER MORALS.

    • It bothers me more that you were sucked in by that big nothing burger.
That apparently is more important to you than big money ripping off the middle class.
      Where are YOUR morals?
