Les Miserables

I didn’t know Anne Hathaway could sing.  She also sacrifices her real hair for the Les Miz movie coming out in December.

The timing is a bit off but maybe we’ll get a singalong to the Angry Men song.

  1. RD, Conf & Co. Just got a book, not sure where it will lead but I want to recommend it — for Conf women especially. http://www.amazon.com/Whats-Matter-White-People-Golden/dp/1118141067 — if you read the reviews, read the first few pages — I think things will resonate as they did for me.

  2. You didn’t know she could sing? You’re in for a treat. She impressed me with her singing voice (and her ability to sell the joke) in her Oscar opening bit a few years ago with host Hugh Jackman.

    • I kinda stopped watching the Academy Awards about the time she started hosting them. Saw her in Rachel Getting Married. Of all the actresses around today, she’s the only one who could bring me to tears.
And I never cry at movies.
So, I expect I’ll have to bring tissues to Les Mis

    • That was a great bit! Her solo song during the next Oscar show was excellent as well.

  3. Something else. One of my stories in that genre I have written in is going to come out this Spring in a very big antho. It’s huge to me. Because the editor approached me? Anyway. RD I want you to see this place. It works just like WordPress? You can publish? Just check it out. http://pressbooks.com/ I self pubbed a little collection of short stories via them, but? Now they are changing the delivery methods. Really so cool and built by people like WordPress — so easy! $100 per book. For that delivery system. I’m just thinking of you RD. You are such a great writer. You could do a kids book on Science? You know, like that story you had of the pail? You could probably write all that in layman’s terms. Dunno. Your life as a little girl and what inspired you? Mine were the art teachers. They were the best. It was just easy for me, like Science was for you? You will love this place, like I do — no kidding.

  4. Meh. At least The Rose of Versailles was actually about the French Revolution, even if it was a rather silly take on it. Les Miz just filed the the historical markers off of Hugo’s novel about the June Rebellion and called it a day.

    • the novel was about so much more than the rebellion and so was Les Miz. Not sure what your Meh is all about.
