If you’re a Philadelphia voter, Jim Kenney is the only progressive candidate in the mix. (He’s the only guy running who opposes the charter schools, is planning to implement universal pre-K, got pot possession knocked down to a misdemeanor, worked to get same-sex partner benefits for city employees long before anyone else did.) Now I […]

    • Always Remember, the NY Times Pushed, Hard, for War in Iraq
The New York Times is beloved by many liberals, but I despise them. Part of my reason is their role in making the Iraq war happen. I was following it in real time and I remember how they pushed administration lies; the headlines of their articles on Iraq were almost always alarmist  and the lead [...]

3 Questions, Maybe 4

Will Democrats propose an amendment that no woman will be forced carry an unwanted fetus…. or be forced to abort one?

Will Democrats propose an amendment making it unconstitutional for Legislators to interfere in the doctor/patient relationship or practice medicine without a license?

Will Democrats propose a Voting Rights amendment outlawing electronic voting machines and requiring the public counting of ballots?

As Lambert says in Oh, my. Akin’s back.

Does anybody seriously believe that electing Obama will make a dime’s worth of difference stopping rape, or for women generally? Why would they? Does anybody actually read what Obama says, or watch what he does? Let’s put the famous “rape is rape” in context, shall we? Let’s roll the transcript:

  1. He’s so right and says it so much better than I could. God I’m sick of having the blow torch turned on me every 4 years.

  2. Yes, it’s one of the best posts on this subject that I’ve read.

  3. Oh, Crap! Living next door to Missouri is going to be a drag if I have to look at Todd Akin’s nasty puss every 15 minutes.

  4. Thanks, sweetie ;-)

  5. The republicans are lurching further and further into looney land and the Democrats are following tail twix their legs. Don’t count on Obama, Pelosi or Reid to act in our interests.

The only Constitutional amendments you can expect will be:

Allowing Protestant Christian prayer and Bible reading in public schools and before sporting events.

Criminalizing any sex other than that for procreation.

Banning Sunday sales reenact the Blue Laws.

And Democrats will fall all over themselves signing on.
