The stupid is winning. Early last month, commissioners rejected McKenney’s proposal for a mask mandate. But as COVID-19 cases in the county and across the state surged and Kelly reiterated her call for a statewide policy, they agreed to consider a compromise. Most of the people who showed up for a public hearing opposed the mandate … Continue reading What’s t […]

  1. Hi everybody!

It is snowing here — they say we will get 8 to 10 inches — pray I get a snow day tomorrow!

  2. Hi MB and angie — I think someone suggested we give out soft toilet paper for prizes.

  3. BTW — great show

    • I hope he means bad sex.

      • He actually said “even bad sex is good” — uh, let me be the first to dispel that rumor bozo — despite what the poor pathetic women who sleep with you tell you –I’d rather have a V8 than bad sex.

        • He definitely should speak for himself. I’ve got a list at least an arms length long of things I’d rather do then engage in sexual intercourse with a clueless male up to and including” wash my hair”.

        • Heh. What she said.

I was very interested in the segment after that, where they discussed the Iraq war. They all pretty much said the fauxgressives got played by Obama, and Castellanos (the Republican) said that Obama should admit Bush was right about Iraq, since he’s kept so many Bush appointees (including Gates) in the DOD!

I wonder if Obama would go that far?

    • Is the congresscritter used to his partner pretending to enjoy then falling asleep before his is finished?

      just wondering.

      PUMAS,BUBBA,EQUALISTS AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

  4. Great idea — 2nd runner up gets soft toilet paper!!

Should we do charmin or northern?

  5. They have already declared a snow day here.

  6. where’s “here” cwaltz?

    • Southwest Virginia

I’m in Blacksburg. We’re about an hour or so from WVa, TN, and NC respectively.

We’ve only got about 2 inches thus far but I’m betting they are more concerned about ice. We’ve got some curvy roads and some of our area is still rural(snow plows don’t get out there to pour salt and plow)

      • My two youngest cousins live in Blacksburg — they go to VA Tech.

      • I keep forgetting that you’re in B’burg, c’waltz. Our newest neighbors moved here from your town about two years back. A terrific youngish couple with a terrific five-year old. We moved here (central TX) from New Orleans and to us it feels dry as ancient leather. They think it’s way too humid.

  7. Hey, long time lurker here. Just wanted to say it was a great
show. I’ve not been able to listen to a whole show before. I
    really enjoyed it. Thanks!

    • Thanks, Sima! We appreciate your listening.

We’re just sitting in till Sheri gets back, of course, so we were thrilled to see so many in the chat room.

      🙂

  8. That congresscritter is a moron (my new fav. word). An Obama speech is much more like masturbation — makes you feel guilty & dirty –plus a little unsatisfying ’cause it isn’t the real thing.

  9. Thanks Sima!! Join us for the next episode of The View from Under the Bus too — 3/11/09 at 8:00 p.m. EST!!

  10. I didn’t chat but I did listen, you guys covered everything and then some.

  11. I’m in moderation upthread — serves me right for nesting.

  12. Angie!!!

  13. Please release me from moderation!

  14. myiq — is there a reason why I can’t moderate my own posts anymore?

Angie is stuck in the koolaid bin and I can’t get her out.

  15. Obama’s speeches are like sex because many people who listen suddenly suffer blood-drainage from their brains. It flows to other parts of their bodies. And the brain is left suffocating and unable to function.

  16. Well, just in case I don’t have a snow day tomorrow, I’ve got some work I have to finish up!

    Love ya guys!

    Good night all!

  17. less taste; very unsatisfying

  18. myiq — is it up yet?

    • Is it up yet? If you have to ask…

      😉

I love the tabloids front-page stories about Obama’s secret gay sex life.

      • DYB — I was thinking that after I posted it but figured myiq2xu would jump all over it first. 🙂
