  1. Jeesh…I was 15 when this tune came out!

  2. Were you my prom date?

    Brunhilda?

  3. I think both parties could have handled things better. I sympathize with the Israeli folk because I can not even begin to fathom having suicide bombers blowing up cafes and civilian targets. I also sympathize with the Palestinians though. One of the reasons Hamas was effective is they run social programs and create hospitals and do things to help to help the Palestinians, amy who have not blown anything up and just happen to live in a place where terrorists also reside. As I stated, neither side is blameless.

It isn’t surprising this is occuring since when Hamas was elected Israel and the US automatically didn’t want to acknowledge them, anymore then Hamas wants to acknowledge Israel. Plenty of blame to go around.

Anyway Reddragon I think the subject is one that is going to draw heated opinions. No hard feelings here though. Thanks for clarifying. 🙂

  4. This was also the first tune I learned to play on the bass…Ahhh…the memories! LMAO!

  5. All of a sudden I feel very, very old, myiq.

  6. My son says they played this at the all night skate he went to. It’s a one hit wonder that has withstood time.

  7. This is a new thread

    No old business

  8. No problem CW…No offense taken..All in the name of open debate. We all have feelings on this and things can go south real quick….

I knew from your thread post’ that you were passionate about this as I am…One can agree to disagree without it getting nasty.

I only wish those in Gaza and Israel could do the same

  9. That bass rift is still pretty awesome

  10. I’m gonna go watch Peyton beat the Chargers.

    Y’all be good!

  11. Aye Aye myiq. Your wish is my command. 😉

  12. Ah…the 70s! Music was never better. My husband made me smile this Christmas with several “Best Of” CDs — Blood, Sweat and Tears, America, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and the Doobies. Ah….love it! Play that funky music…

  13. Wait…you put on some 70’s music and say be good? c’mon…

  14. hehehe….What a tease

  15. CWaltz, are you Navy?

  16. Thank goodness in the ’70s I was mostly drunk and stoned and I only listened to bluegrass. I missed disco entirely and I don’t regret it one bit.

  17. Me, too, BB, I kind of avoided disco. I don’t think I’ve even seen Saturday Night Fever. Ever.

  18. Saturday Night Fever wrecked my prom!

  19. Sophe ex Navy

  20. Ummmmmm, hmmmmmmm!

hugs PUMApeople — next up you could do the Village People YMCA and we know really who we are!

hugs MiQ2xu! here is a hat tip to you!
man, did we live in some fab times, no?

I knew you guys when I saw you! We know what gen we are!

Poor John Travolta, today. So sad. So sad.
The music scene changed about then — some went one way and some the other — I went Indyrock and still am!
Just think of our musical knowledge base! And can our gen DANCE! we did it all — even the slow ones. It was a beautiful thing.

  21. and all the GREAT MOVIES WE KNOW!

whew —— what a tapestry we are! A marvelous tapestry of tremendous cultural exposure….the real deal…

and ummm — this gen looks young because it is young — we are just like that in a way — impish and very young at heart!

that is why Klown is Clown & dakini is dakini! — this gen is known for its quest for adventure, too! — and we all established noms de plume that fit it! ——— hhahahahahahahahahahahaha!

    bwahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    xxoo!

  22. myiq: I’m gonna go watch Peyton beat the Chargers.

oh really? I’m kind of bummed, that’s what I was hoping for. I love Peyton but I love LT too, so I’ll live with it.

great playoff game though!! I love overtime!

  23. What is amazing with the group Wild Cherry is to see how many of the white boys are sporting ‘fros (or the white guy’s equivalent of an Afro).

Aaah, yes, I’m old enough to recall. Actually, the guitar rifs, from bass, rhythm to lead, are all pretty cool, and hold up well over time.

  24. Sorry -“rifs” may be spelled “riffs”
