We are in a strange and dangerous moment. The Trump cancer is metastasizing, yet neither party is willing to excise it. Republicans are fully devoted to covering up his corruption, and Democrats are refraining from a full accounting of it. My latest:https://t.co/6ui3MzTmDQ — Greg Sargent (@ThePlumLineGS) June 16, 2021

    • Types Of Enlightenment: Part 1 1/2 – World As Self

Brenda Lee

For the old fogies.

  1. Thanks – some of us ‘old fogies’ well remember young 11 year old Brenda Lee making it big all those years ago. The first thing the little girl from the trailer park did after she made some money, was buy her Mother a new house. What a rags to riches story. I often read about Brenda’s charity work around Nashville and her joy now is her grandchildren. She has my respect for how she has led her life.

  2. Thank you naoko. I remember Brenda Lee’s recordings – I was very young, maybe 10, but she was very popular. As I said, thank you naoko for the update on her and that she has had a good life.

  3. Thanks naoko for the info. I too was a young Brenda Lee fan and am glad to hear she has done well and is well.

And this old “fogie” still loves Rockin Around The Christmas Tree. Both the song and the deed. It’s just that my “rocker” don’t work as well as it used to. No surprise, nothing else does either.
