    • How To Deal With Anxiety and Trauma Using Meditation
One of the common pitfalls of “mindfulness” meditation is that practitioners become very good at noticing sense objects in their body. (More simply: feelings.) Now if those feelings are negative, that can lead to more anxiety and fear, and if you contact the emotions around a traumatic experience, you can be re-traumatized: the trauma can become worse. Cowgirls Don’t Cry

Hillary and Sarah grew up knowing it.

  1. Sorry ladies, but big boys don’t get to cry either.

  2. That’s okay, I used to be a leaky faucet, now I couldn’t cry if I wanted to.

  3. Two women that are to be admired for their strengh and work ethic and ability to make a difference.
In any other country they would be honored, in today’s America they get trashed.
How do we teach the young ethics when a lot of the role models have none.
I am honored that I was able to vote for both of them.
Maybe when Chelsea and Piper get older the next generation will be able to vote for them.
They both had good teachers and maybe when it is their time, this country will know better.

WOMEN,MEN WHO SUPPORT THEM AND COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

    PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

  4. myiq, it okay with you if I post an overnight open thread in a half hour or so? I have something up my sleeve.

  5. or maybe later than a half hour since I see this thread just got started

  6. Well. .. if there are any guys around .. this is not good !

It’s official: Men really are the weaker sex
Evolution is being distorted by pollution, which damages genitals and the ability to father offspring, says new study. Geoffrey Lean reports

The male gender is in danger, with incalculable consequences for both humans and wildlife, startling scientific research from around the world reveals.

    much more at the link.

  7. This is completely OT, but a lot of men don’t know that fetuses can be affected by the father’s drinking or cocaine use. It can cause chromosomal damage. Another thing that can affect the fetus a lot is parents fighting during the pregnancy.

More women have trouble conceiving nowadays too, I think.

  8. We are really really close to 4.5 million hits.

  9. bb, is myiq up? you think it’d be ok for me to do an open thread? I think I have something here.

  10. BB:

If It weren’t for alcohol I might never have conceived at all!

  11. John,

Go ahead. Just don’t get upset if there aren’t a lot of comments, because it’s been really slow today. I’m just about to conk out, so I’m going to have to read it in the morning.

  12. John:

    Go 4 it

  13. LOL!

  14. Great, thank you.

  15. Ugsome:

I blame my “leaky faucet” on sins of the flesh!

  16. Briana I loved this from your link:

“This research shows that the basic male tool kit is under threat,” says Gwynne Lyons, a former government adviser on the health effects of chemicals, who wrote the report.

Whoopsie! Well my took kit is okay, but uh, just not used for ladies… 😆

  17. No worries. Nature is smarter than us all. One bull can “service” a lot of cows. Evolution would only be threatened if women were to face a reproductive crisis. Sorry guys.

Oh sorta like this clip from the movie “A Boy and his dog” with Don Johnson.

  19. That may be Reba in the video, but even she should know that cowgirls don’t drive Toyotas. Fords and Chevys, yes. Toyotas? NO.

  20. …but they do get the blues, per the Gus van Saint movie.
meanwhile, B0bots are told to STFU by Obama’s campaign manager

  26. well off to work….burrr cold in FLA this morning!

  27. I don’t do country, at least not before my coffee. I have always been annoyed by the premise that CRYING is the ultimate sin. Women and men have different tear duct anatomy (I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on the internet.), women cry at anger and frustration. Men start wars and kill people in bars.

  28. The Facebook Shame of Obama’s Hottie Word Guy

“Come on, dude’s 27—you have to take the good with the bad. And God knows what kind of hours ol’ Obama has him working.”

  29. It’s freezing here in Northern Virginia. Yeow! I hate the cold. I’m heading upstairs to get ready for work and it sounds like my grandson is up so I’m gonna get some baby time too. But I just wanted to drop in and say good morning!

  30. gxm- Of course he is up, he is a baby!!

  31. RD’s morning post is up!

  32. myiq — This is perfect. Nothing during the entire year has hit me like this. It really gets at all the complex things that go into women’s breaking through.
