Hillary to visit Latino voters, plus PUMA-SF’s Hillary photo journal!

Huge-tent-sized-Mexican-sombero-hat tip to the marvelous PUMA-SF who wanted to share more Hillary event photos, where she and Simofish gave the exclusive break on Hillary’s delegate petition video.  Please give a big PUMA hug to PUMA-SF and Simofish for being so generous in sharing their Hillary moment with us!

"Powerful and graceful, even in repose" (h/t Arabella Trefoil)

I looked for news to accompany PUMA-SF’s photos, and look what I found at the Guardian UK:

Hillary Clinton to hit swing states to campaign for Obama

Clinton will hit the campaign trail for her erstwhile rival in Florida and Nevada, two states that have not voted for a Democrat since 1996.

The Democrats this year hope to retake the two states, largely on the strength of legions of newly energised Hispanic voters.

Clinton has a strong appeal among Hispanics – the group backed her roughly two to one over Obama during the primaries this winter. She won primary contests in both states

The visits are planned for mid-late August before the convention.  QUESTION:  Why can’t Obama do this by himself, isn’t HE the so-called leader of the Democratc Party now?  Can’t he at least take some time out of his presumptuous schedule to show up together with Hillary to campaign for Latino votes?  Oh wait, isn’t that when the Precious is on vacation in Hawaii?

UPDATE:

Obama’s Hawaii vacation in August expected to include fundraiser
Candidate set to attend private fundraiser during vacation here

By Derrick DePledge
Advertiser Government Writer

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois is expected to attend a private fundraiser for his presidential campaign on Aug. 12 at the Halekulani Hotel, several sources said.

Obama is expected to be in the Islands for about a week for a vacation and local organizers are also hoping for a public rally, possibly at Magic Island.

Andy Winer, Obama’s state director, said yesterday he could not confirm the visit or the details about the fundraiser or rally but said the campaign may make an announcement this week.

The fundraiser is being co-chaired by Mayor Mufi Hannemann and corporate executive and prominent Democratic financier Walter Dods. Donors are being asked to contribute $2,300 per person, sources said, and can attend a reception with the Hawai’i-born candidate for $10,000

.

MAGIC ISLAND????  The jokes just write themselves with Obama.

OMG, the Precious can’t be bothered to campaign for Latino votes when he has to have his mani/pedi, body exfoliating, deep tissue massage for the Denver Convention!  Snark aside, it’s insulting and condescending to our community and mark my words, it’ll be a major brou-haha if in fact Obama’s on vacation that week.  But what am I talking about?  Latinos are already under the bus anyways, Hillary ‘s under the bus too, so the trip will be shorter for her, right?  Maybe that’s part of Obama’s energy plan, you know, to save gas and stuff?  Yet if Hillary’s by herself, this may not be such a bad thing.  Some Latinos in the crowd might just say “quédense con el Obama ese, nosotros queremos a Hillary!”  (Stay with that Obama guy, we want Hillary!)

Just Say No Deal & ¡que viva los PUMAs! (Long live PUMAs!)

(More pictures inside!)

SIMOFISH hugging Hillary!

And finally….

SIMOFISH with Hillary!

PUMA-SF with Hillary!

CAN WE HAVE HILLARY BACK??????

  1. Hugs to PUMA-SF and Simofish and congrats on great photos! Hillary looks so happy!

  2. Great post sm77 – next couple of weeks will be interesting indeed. Thank you for sharing these great photos!

  3. I have an idea — we should use these events to publicize PUMA and say she is still our candidate and we still want her and not Princess Obama. Let us send a round of loud message to Princess O and DNC and depending on how successful we are, they may not harass her again and send her to get votes for O when he is vacationing. It may embarrass them to show the rest of world that she still has so much support. I do hope he is on vacation that week — it would make a hell of a story.

  4. Thank you, SM and Puma-SF and SimoFish for these terrific photos! Just seeing Hillary relaxed and smiling made me feel good. SM, you are a winner! Triple love them!!!

  5. God, I hate seeing pictures of her because it reminds me of what we’re missing. She looks resigned. And I hate that she’ll work and be incredibly effective in helping to legitimize the ugly tactics used against her.

Also, I must add that as a Latino myself I think it’s unwise for anyone here to speak on behalf of the entire “community,” especially considering how “we” comprise a whole slew of completely different groups and the polls showing Obama whupping McCain on the Latino vote (CNN, I believe). Those numbers, Obama easily gaining about 2/3 of the Latino vote, show how wrong I and many others were in the power of the Democratic brand to propel Obama over McCain of all people (He’s doing worse than Bush!).

  6. Has anyone ever thought about getting the PUMA message out the Latino community? Or have they? I mean there is a whole pool of voters who support Hill in a BIG way, and if the messiah gets the nom, they will be vital in key states. But if we reach out now about what we’re doing, maybe we can knock some of that lead Obama has with Latino voters down some….or a LOT.

Is there a website for PUMAS is Spanish? What about doing a radio show in Spanish? I think if don’t reach out we are really dropping the ball here.

  7. I should add: By Clinton helping Obama gain votes it’ll help legitimize the bigotry and outright fraud used against her and her voters.

  8. Pat & Perries – PLEASE don’t thank me – it’s all PUMA-SF and Simofish’s doing. PUMA-SF sent me the photos and I asked her if we can post them, and she said yes. I thought we needed to see more of that great moment.

HUGE HUGS TO PUMA-SF & SIMOFISH!

  9. Enjoyed the photos. She looks great. Thanks for posting.

  10. Hillary, looks so much like a cat to me now. Maybe it is just my imagination, but she seems to be morphing into a PUMA.

  11. I can hear Bill just grinding his teeth everytime she makes a speech or an appearance on the moron’s behalf. Hate to see those two in the same room together because Big Dawg would clean his clock for him.

I just want to reach and tell her, “Hillary, don’t do it” but I figure she knows what she is doing. However, no matter what sh*t she has to spout, it changes nothing for me. He tried to destroy her and that does not sit well. This grudge is forever.

  12. Davidson – I agree to a certain point. But how would you feel as a Latino knowing that the DNC is sending out Hillary to get votes in our community for him while he’s on vacation in Hawaii?

I know that’s not going to go over well at all.

  13. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photos Puma-SF and SimoFish. They brought tears to my eyes.

  14. Trist: I’m going to work with Wayne from PUMA Poc on that Spanish website. For now, we’ve been 10 x more of an uphill battle to get the PUMA message out to the Spanish language media.

  15. Hi all, I know this is off topic, but have any of you seen this?

    http://stuckon-stupid.com/2008/07/17/what-barack-obama-proposes-formation-of-civilian-army-equal-in-size-to-us-military/

I got the link over at NQ. This is a very scary comment.

  16. SM: You put it together and made it all come to life. ♥

  17. davidson, i’m very skeptical of those numbers about where the latino vote is for the very reason you gave, it is such a diverse community. that pew poll that showed 2/3 going for Obama had no breakdown of how they conducted the poll among different parts of the community, so imo it is useless. many latino organizations also question the media’s assertion that Bush garnered 40% of latinos in 2000…I think it is reflective of the media trying to define the narrative rather than reflecting reality.

  18. sm77-that’s great to hear that you all will be doing a site. Will it be up before the convention do you think?

  19. SM,

I know. I feel that you’re right in the sense that Latinos should be absolutely livid that the DNC robbed us of “our” choice while using the fear of alienating blacks as a cover (Even if that were true, “Why do they count more than we do?” would be a common reply). And let’s not even talk about Brazille’s inflammatory remarks over how Latinos aren’t really needed. By cheating HRC of the nomination and running a scorched earth campaign against her, the Democratic “establishment” have done everything in their power to dismiss the Latino choice and, thus, Latinos.

With regards to his propensity to come off as an entitled brat who can’t bothered to even pretend he has a work ethic or common decency to treat voting blocs with basic respect (see: dismissal of WV voters), it’s not getting as much play as it should because of the media blanket protection of him. That’s the problem: massive media lies by omission.

Even if the media did start doing it’s job it’s not like McCain is a great option either. Unless voters feel they can vote for McCain instead of Obama, Obama won’t feel threatened enough to change. Even on immigration, McCain has tacked to the right, thus, canceling one of the high-profile reasons why many Latinos felt comfortable with him. And he’s just God awful on the economy, which I believe is the number one issue with Latinos (as is true with all voters).

  20. sm–is there a loose tag somewhere in your post? it’s making the rest of the page italicized.

  21. I just sent the petition to get Hillary’s name placed in nomination at the DNC meeting in Denver to 25 elected delegates in Tennessee. People are already signing it (in front of a notary so they can’t say we didn’t sign) and sending to a Post Office Box in Denver for ‘safe keeping.’ Each delegate is requested to sign a 2nd copy in front of a notary and bring it with her or him to Denver so we will have “double coverage” to get those 300 to 600 names needed to have her name placed in nomination.
    Yee haw!

  22. @Gary:

I can’t tell you how absolutely floored I was by that CNN poll. I mean, this is McCain we’re talking about! No Democrat should be doing that well against, but then I told myself, “It must be the economy.” I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. I don’t trust the media, but those polls are so damn stunning.

    Ugh.

  23. Davidson, the poll I saw was done by Pew…maybe cnn was just reporting it, but if you go and look at the internals they don’t break it down…how can it be meaningful if we don’t know what % of the sample was cuban, puerto rican, mexican, etc…each group votes quite differently. And as I said, I’ve read from various groups of latinos who say the number that gets reported for bush (40%) is BS. maybe if 70% of the sample was cuban/americans…..

  24. You mean he will be on vacation in Hawaii trying to figure out how to get a REAL birth certificate for himself?

    Who is this creep?

But thank you sooo much for that brilliant picture of Hillary! I sure miss seeing her on the campaign trail.

  25. Trist – I hope so – Wayne is a super busy guy so I hope we can get somehting up soon!

  26. When is Obama taking his little vacation? Didn’t Kerry and Ned Lamont take ill-timed vacations in August?

You know hillary would not have taken a vacation.

  27. cdo— I have heard about this idea before. It is to privatize that part of the government too, and people would be joining this “army” as a job. I’m sure that Obomonster did not come up on this brilliant plan on his own, and just yet further confirms to me that he has been soaking up the plans of the fascist people who have supported his campaign.

Correct, and Obama has not addressed the AA community since SC. They served their purpose in his eyes, so he doesn’t need them anymore. Here in St. Pete, a black protestor held up a sign and asked Obama with regards to his lack of involvement in the AA community.

With regards to his propensity to come off as an entitled brat who can’t bothered to even pretend he has a work ethic or common decency to treat voting blocs with basic respect (see: dismissal of WV voters), it’s not getting as much play as it should because of the media blanket protection of him. I think that McCain already has addressed his immigration reform several times to La Raza and LULAC. He’s not budging, which is good. Now – let’s take Puertoricans, which aren’t at all affected directly by “immigration” reform maybe more inclined to vote for Obama than McCain. True. But I’m with Gary – the polls are very misleading. AP-Ipsos has Obama at 6% above, while Gallup has him tied, and Rassmussen has Obama below McCain.

  29. OK – I am going to out myself — that’s me – SimoFish hugging Hillary — then I told her — 2012 !!

I have had the honor of meeting her several times — through volunteering and raising money. She is so incredible !!

WHY CAN’T WE HAVE HER AS OUR PRESIDENT !!!

My girlfriend was born in Nicaragua and speaks Spanish – I think we need to GOTV in Flordia or somewhere and tell them NO – don’t support Barry.

  30. Shoot, I want to clarify one thing about my remark about immigration: the reason why it was high profile is obvious but the reason why many Latinos saw it as a litmus test of McCain standing up against bigotry amongst the right. So it wasn’t really about immigration but intolerance and hate. Most Latinos I know want comprehensive immigration as much as the next American, but it’s the core issue of racism that makes it a more telling issue for them than others.

@Gary: Again, I don’t know what to think. Maybe if the numbers were a bit closer, I’d be asking for crosstabs but the numbers are simply staggering to me. I guess we’ll just have to wait until September to see how this all begins to play out.

  32. Lovely photos! Thanks!

But they make me miss her so. 😦

  33. Simo is that you??? Jeez I’m sorry! I’ll fix that – I thought it was PUMA-SF~!

  34. No – NO — Puma SF is the last one — I am the one hugging Senator Clinton

  35. BoooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooo!

I want our Gal back. I just cannot stand it!

    PUMA HAKA 👿

  36. NAOKO: THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are awesome & know that we are PRAYING that the petitions goes through!

  37. She is just so much better than those two stupid men.

(No reflection on men intended — just on the candidates.)

  38. Gary – I tookm out the bold & italics and everything looks good on my end, and yours?

  39. yeah, sure, plural, heh.

  40. Bombshell: Stanley Kurtz Discovers Obama’s “Lost” Papers

    Race

Any rounded treatment of Obama’s early political career has got to give prominence to the issue of race. Obama has recently made efforts to preemptively blunt discussion of the race issue, warning that his critics will highlight the fact that he is African American. Yet the question of race plays so large a role in Obama’s own thought and action that it is all but impossible to discuss his political trajectory without acknowledging the extent to which it engrosses him. [snip]

In 2004, a U.S. District Court disallowed the ordinance under which Chicago required the use of at least 25 percent minority business enterprises and 5 percent women’s business enterprises on city-funded projects. In the immediate aftermath of the ruling, Obama and Jesse Jackson were among the prominent voices calling for a black leadership summit to plot strategy for a restoration of Chicago’s construction quotas. Obama and his allies succeeded in bringing back race-based contracting.

No Hispanics Encroaching in Black Areas

When the 2000 census revealed dramatic growth in Chicago’s Hispanic and Asian populations alongside a decline in the number of African Americans, the Illinois black caucus was alarmed at the prospect that the number of blacks in the Illinois General Assembly might decline. At that point, Obama stepped to the forefront of the effort to preserve as many black seats as possible. The Defender quotes Obama as saying that, “while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking African-American seats.”
    http://countusout.wordpress.com/

  41. fred: “while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking African-American seats.”

    ummmh?

  42. The majority of Hispanics are being hit hard by the economic problems and gas prices. They are generally very pragmatic when it comes to “bread and butter issues” and trust Dems more than Republicans by far on the economy and education. I’m not sure I buy the 2 to 1 number amongst Hispanics though. I’ve talked to many and the majority of them are very uncomfortable with Obama and many are angry at what happened. I’d believe 2-to-1 “leaning” Obama, but he has a lot of work to solidify the numbers.

  43. I JUST ADDED THIS UPDATE, IT’S TRUE!!

MAGIC ISLAND???? The jokes just write themselves with Obama.

  44. Simofish – OK! Got it right now – soooo sorry about that! I didn’t caption it because I didn’t know it was you!

  45. Fred:

The Defender quotes Obama as saying that, “while everyone agrees that the Hispanic population has grown, they cannot expand by taking African-American seats.”

Uh, this is NOT going to go over well.

  46. The other thing to keep in mind is Hispanic turnout. Hillary was bringing them out in record numbers (which helped her in several states). I’ve heard a great deal of antipathy toward Obama.

  47. Hi gqm! Nope, I didn’t make it to Seafair. My husband is getting ready for a backpack trip, so all life is consumed with preparation.

  48. sm77 — no worries — I don’t need to be captioned — but you could remove the 2nd photo of me — not too flattering is it.

Anyway — I am looking forward to Denver !!

  49. AP poll has Obama up 47 to 41 against McCain among “registered” voters…WTF what happened to “likely voters” as the poll standard is this their way to make him look good and it was from a poll agthered while he was on his “Rainbow tour”-there is no way this tool is getting that big a bump after playing the race card?

Is this recycled date athe they are re-releasing to piss PUMA off the guy was down yesterday what gives? Has AP gone into a continous spin cycle for Obama?

RD SM Simofish gary fred Upstate and ben what did fuzzy miss that this poll was released today?

    fuzzybeargville

  50. SM: Thank you so much for doing this. It was our pleasure to share these special moments with all of you. I cannot wait until Denver to actually see you in person and share a Pink Puma with you.

And you’re right why in the hell does she have to go out and raise money for him? Pompous ass!

  51. Oooooh. Where is he going? If I were still in CA, I’d be getting ready to climb part of Mt. Whitney.

  52. You really cannot trust the polls. We get excited when it appears he is going downward but the next day shows a gain. They are all over the place. Let’s just assume that he is not really moving the needle as high as past Dem candidates who were easily ahead by 10+ points at this time during their run. He is having difficulty getting it up to 51.

  53. Hillary has to do what is best for her but I just wish she does not become too “florid” in her praise of him since he does not deserve it. He drop kicked her to the curb, and politics or not, that was ungentlemanly and unnecessary. Screw him!

  54. Pat,

The Gallup poll definitely seems screwy. One thing that was noticed during the primary was a cyclical approval of Obama v Hillary. It was on the borderline of being significant (in a statistical sense). Look at the Gallup daily, it has a periodic nature as well. Its not very stable. The best thing to do is to compare trends from the same polling firm, excluding the Gallup, to get a sense of where things are headed, as opposed to the absolute numbers.

  55. Pat,
yeah – I’d say he’s having trouble getting it up!

  56. ndigogrrl: Into the Time Out area with you!!!!!

  57. You are right, Pat. Only one poll counts and that’s on election day. And as much as we hope for it he will likely come out of the convention as the nominee whatever the polls are at the time.

  58. Sorry Pat it just seemed this “new AP release” was old data and an intentional attempt to distract the public from his “post r@cist comments of the past few days…

I think AP is trying to manipulate public opinion on a bad poll.

    fuzzybeargville

  59. Michael: Someone commented awhile back that the AP is in the tank for him and that Zogby has a relative working in the Obama campaign. Sad to say, but little news these days is deemed trustworthy.

  60. absolutely, one could easily predict a good poll coming out about this time.

  61. Fuzzy, pollsters rarely intentionally manipulate the polls the way you imply. Polls take time, money and planning. Many are planned for specific times, with no consideration of “external” events.

  62. SIMO: Your wish is my command, and it’s out – though I thought it was a cute moment!

PUMA-SF: Nooo, thank YOU! I won’t be able to go to Denver – single mom budget not allowing it right now, unless I get lucky & hit the lotto or something!

  63. PAT & FUZZY & GQ: Rasmussen & Gallup got it right. AP-Ipsos, WRONG.

  64. To be honest I hope Pele desides to unleash her wrath on Obama while in the Islands! Maybe allow a unstable section of lava breaks of from the big Island and crashes into the Ocean. This should create a huge wave that washes him out to sea never to be seen again. Until many years later he is discovered on some Island talking FISA and Energy Policy to a soccer ball…

    fuzzybeargville

  65. sm, I don’t trust the very periodic nature of Gallup. If you look at the “leaners” in the Ras daily, it’s more stable than Gallup or the non-leaner Ras poll.

No matter what you think of the polls, Obama is not in a good position compared to previous elections.

  66. gqm: he will be hiking Hurricane Ridge this month and some part of the cascades next month.

  67. Of course the medis will then demand that he be award an Oscar for this original work and demand it be taken away from that tom hanks fellow…because Obama is sooo the one!

    fuzzybeargville

  68. I think the fact that the AP has them tied with men pretty much discredits it. That is inconsistent with about every other poll out there.

  69. men are stupid, have problems getting it up…oh my.

Fine, I’ll go fix wife and son some supper.

  70. I think Obama would go insane on a deserted Island with out an audience to harraunge and constant stroking by the MSM…but again the solitude may allow him time to look for things lost like his soul…

    fuzzybeargville

  71. fuzzy I’m with you. I most definately see a deflated soccer ball in BO’s future – say 2 weeks from now?

  72. Hello PUMAs! I wish I spoke Spanish so I could say something complimentary in that language.

Thanks so much to SM, SimoFish and PUMA-SF for sharing their photos of Hillary. She is just so Presidential, and yes, 400x better than Dopey and Mopey.

Didn’t Oba-moi just take a freaking vacation to Europe and Asia? How many does he need? Lord, he is Bush’s clone.

I’ll bet he doesn’t even bring his kids t-shirts from Hawaii. Gifts are so bourgeois!

  73. Yes, why not? I think it’s a good idea for her to campaign by herself without him. All that thunderous applause just for her. All those PUMA roars.

SM, I think it’s time to write a post in Spanish.
    😉

  74. Michael: I forgot all about Pele. She really doesn’t like it when mortals try to upstage her.

  75. Since they won’t leave Bill alone, I think he should just come right out and say what a “disgusting piece of sh*t Obama” really is.

If they are going to accuse you of something you want to do anyway, I say go for it.

We are all “adults” (that means r*cists for those that may have missed it). I can take it, what say you?

    PUMA HAKA 👿

  76. Mother Riverdaughter!!!

How are you? Gosh, I’d have to translate it for our English speakers. You think?

  77. okay had a sick/funny thought what would you rather do walk through fire naked or be stuck on a deserted island with Obama for 20 years? and why?

    fuzzybeargville

  78. naked as a j-bird, anyone got a match?

FIRE ALL THE WAY. My skin would eventually heal. And he would rather walk through fire if he were stuck on an island with me. I hold a grudge for life and I got beef to settle with him.

  84. Oh, people, where is your imagination?

I would definitely take the 20 years with Obama. Of course, he would only last 20 minutes with me. After that, I’d be alone, and would soon escape due to my cat-like poise and cunning.

    👿

  85. had Obama implied that i was a racist the way he did bill i would have called a press confrence and said:

“…Senator Obama you are a guttless coward you want everybody to think I am a r@cist but you dont have the conviction to outright say it so you use your namby-pamby way of doing it.

I again call You a guttless coward and I cannot believe any one would want a low class person of your character to lead this country. We deserve better. Oh and if I thought you had the courage and fortitude to look me in the eye I would say it to your smug little face you jackass. I would pop you right in the face you son of a b*tchin’ liar”

    but that is just me…

off to steak night with the boys/bears…

  86. Hey Barry! Does the little woman get to go with you to Hawaii? I mean since you left her lying on the tarmac digging her “claws” into the tail of your phony air force one Barbie plane when you went to Europe,I just wasn’t sure if she’d be allowed to go to Hawaii. I mean she does have quite a mouth on her that one, not like the little”sweetie” you married. Cindy McCain sure knew how to behave in Asia with the orphans while Michelle was modeling her dress on the View, that paragon of high minded discussion. I say “let” her go, maybe she can help clear up this whole weird birth certificate business.

  87. My partner isn’t the talkative type but when he does say something it’s short, to the point, and right on the mark. Speaking of the oil drilling, “Obama will say and do anything to get elected and he will get in there and not know what the hell he is doing.”

At least with McCain you know there is some moral center that he had to rely upon at some points in his life. I agree with whoever said many diaries ago that Obama has never done a thing to help anyone else but himself.

  88. how do you like my preposed response to Obama by Bill….could you see the press feaction? Kieth Oberman would choke to death on his flem and chris Mathews and Cafferty would be stunned into silence!

  89. sorry mad – I forgot about the chance to play with my food! Actually, remember, bite – chew – spit, poisonous!

    PUMA HAKA 👿

  90. Carol, just to be safe, use your claws.

  91. the OFB is going off the rocker again on the McCain biker ralley comments.

Sad I laughed at the dumb McCain joke (my feminist outrage detector was in the shop ) before I realized how TERRIBLE it really was.

Fine, I’ll go fix wife and son some supper.

¡Hola UpstateNY, eres realmente unos de los macho machos!

  93. Hillary for President

Paris Hilton for VP – her response to the McCain AD!

    http://www.funnyordie.com/

  94. JJtacoma: What happened at the bike rally?

  95. SimoFish that picture of you hugging Hillary is classic. She sure looks a lot better then that full size cardboard standee that you have in your living room.

  96. Carol – you’re right! No eating Obama. He is poisonous to PUMAs! (Too stringy anyway.)

    👿

  97. Pat Buchanan said the “race card has been played so many times it is now dog-earred!”

    I say it is

    PUMA earred 👿

  98. mad – plus, I would never put anything in my mouth that MO’s mouth has touched!

UPSTATENY: Translation for the English speakers, you are a wonderful dad & husband and it takes a real man to do what you do.

  101. sm77: it is on the CNN political ticker section (no link because it really is a silly thing…) but here is the money quote:

    from CNN:
Indeed, McCain felt so comfortable at the event that he even volunteered his wife for the rally’s traditional beauty pageant, an infamously debauched event that’s been known to feature topless women.

“I encouraged Cindy to compete,” McCain said to cheers. “I told her with a little luck she could be the only woman ever to serve as first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip.”

  102. Big Puma hugs to PumaSF and Simofish! Thank you so much for the photos. They are beautiful. Now Let’s get Hillary Back!
    PUMA!

  103. LOL @ Alice. I thought the same thing. Nothing surprises me at this point, as I don’t think the man (and those responsible for propping him up to the masses) has much integrity OR genuine regard for the American public.

  104. ((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))

Thanks so much for the pictures. The one at the top of the page is absolutely gorgeous (“Powerful and graceful, even in repose”).

There’s a sadness about her though. I’m sure she’s a bit shell shocked after giving every ounce of her body and soul for months, only to have her own Party turn on her. The same Party she has supported for years. We love you Hillary.

  105. JJmtacoma: Well, it’s not that bad as I expected. He wanted to engage the crowd – it’s a joke on the “pageant” – eh, a minor comment. The OFB is freaking over this? Now that is more of an issue.

  106. Fif – Isn’t that a beautiful picture of HIllary???? WOW does she have some gorgeous eyes, or what?

Arabella (wherever you are, we love you!) said that one time while describing a Puma in a photo and comparing it to Hillary. That comment stuck to me for a long time.

  107. I still think it is funny. I know lots of people who would say things like that. It isn’t mean and it doesn’t imply disapproval – if that makes sense.

Man, I just know I’m going to have the progressive police come over and take my decoder ring any minute!

  108. prplvette85: Thanks so much. It truly was the best day of my life. I still can’t stop smiling.

  109. SimoFish, where can we get a life size Hillary standee for SM?

  110. Puma-SF and SimoFish —

Thanks so much for the pics AND the video. The vid was so helpful in beating back all the false reporting saying Hillary had said she doesn’t want her name in nomination.

I think she looks awfully Presidential in those photos.

I keep watching to see if she’s wearing any sort of kitty jewelry whenever she’s in public. C’mon Hillary! Nothing obvious, just some catseye earrings…

  111. She has a chesire smile!

  112. PUMA-SF: It’ll be hard to get one – don’t worry about it! I have her in my heart & my vote.

Although I also have a Hillary Clinton for President refrigerator magnet – it’s been there even since February and it’s staying there forever!

  113. Carol – I was going to say that – like, what does she know tht we don’t????? She’s got some gorgeous, honest eyes. Like the kind that can’t lie.

    Obama’s is more like a shark’s – very dead & emotionless.

  114. I am volunteering to spend 20 years on an island with Ed.

  115. SM: Me too! I see it so often during the day as I reach for my snacks. It just makes me feel good.

  116. Valhalla; You know I think it was Karma. We needed something to go our way and it finally did. When I wrote to Will and Ricki the night of the event I was so excited and when I told them there was a video they went crazy. In the morning I called SimoFish and asked if she had finished it yet but at that time we didn’t know about the articles. Ricki mentioned Saul but I didn’t know who the hell he was. Before I knew it reporters were calling and everything went bat shit crazy but we are all doing everything we can to get our Hillary the White House.

  117. Nice photos Puma-SF.

fif – I agree that there is sadness in the way she looks. The glow she had is gone.

  118. Puma-SF,

I just have a hunch based on a voice in the video. Was a certain blogger with the initial TM there??

  119. Pat – see? We ARE sisters. I got the fridge magnet at Dulles International Airport.

PUMA-sf: The video is awesome, but the pictures -wow. They tell more to me – thank you again & again. It made a lot of us happy here!

  120. These are great photos. Thanks for sharing!

  121. ghostt2; Oh crap, not that I know of and Simofish was inside so she would have seen her. Toxic waste.

  122. SM: I head home so I’ll see ya back here in a few. Did I send you the close up ones of Hillary’s face? Irene took those and they are truly awesome. I’ll send them to you when I get home.

    DisenfranchisedVoter: you bet my pleasure.

  123. Do these delegates actually know the specifics of their role and the democratic process? I received this email from a delegate today in response to a PUMA PROWL letter to ensure Hillary’s name is put into nomination at the Convention. Hillary does not have to “choose to petition to be part of the roll call vote” right? As she said in the video clip in SF, “it’s up to the delegates.” But this delegate doesn’t seem to know that.

Apparently, the meme has changed from “get over it” to “time to move on.” They better be careful what they ask for: we ARE moving on, but not in the direction they think we should.

REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST NOW!!!!!! TS SI GETTING TO BE SPAM!

I am a HRC supporter– but she has chosen NOT to petition to be part of the roll call. I have no way to vote for her– I have to respect her wishes– she has endorsed Sen. Obama.

You need to put your energies now into getting Democrats– including Sen. Obama elected. She has taken another path– she will soon be a most powerful Senator ever!!! Sen. Kennedy’s retirement leaves a great opening— (If we get a few new Democratic Senators ( Colorado- New Mexico and Alaska) She could even get a spot on the Supreme Court— but what ever she wants it is not to be living in the Navel Observatory as a minor player.

Her life is not over–she ran a wonderful race– she represented women in a wonderful way– she has moved on we have to move on too.

    Time to move on—
    Aleita Huguenin

  124. Fif – I’m sorry that she responded that way.

But I don’t believe it. Until Hillary says from her MOUTH that she is giving up her delegates, I ain’t GIVING UP!!!!

  125. Dear Aleita, Good luck with your chosen pathway. However, I would rather decide for myself where I choose to expend my energies. Move on, go with grace, I;ll be here with the PUMAS>

  126. Fif, have you shown her that tape of Hillary. She should see that and decide for herself what Hillary wants.

  127. Thank you all for those wonderful pictures of Hillary! I am really missing her today!

SM-You said earlier that B0’s eyes were like a shark’s- very dead and emotionless. I totally agree. I feel cold inside when I look at his eyes. I felt this way when I first saw his picture. I’m a therapist and it’s something I generally do with people….look at their eyes. Speaks volumes!

    Rise Hillary Rise!

  128. Puma SF,

(If we are talking about the same person) please don’t. I know emotions are running very high, and stuff, but I do remember that she stuck up for Hillary time and again. The crazies at dk kept smearing differnet sites (you know, the classic, you are so bad you remind me of so and so…,) and they did that to a few bloggers, among them talkleft. I made it a point of honor to reply with links to those sites, and tell the crazies where to go.

Thanks for the georgous pictures of Hillary, and of course, the videos. Peace.

  129. Sounds like we need to send the video of Hillary talking about her name being put into nomination to unify the party. Are they really that clueless? WTF has Obama done to unify the party? Unity my ass.

  130. Thanks for posting these fabulous photos and capturing that VERY IMPORTANT
video footage Puma SF and Simofish!

And to think I got to hear it all first hand over coffee the next day!

    PTTP sisters!
    Power To The Puma!

  131. Thanks! Really funny. I wish i could spend my time on writing articles…just have no time for it.

  132. Excellent blog! Interesting article and very informative! I will necessarily subscribe for this blog. http://movie-cool.com/map.html
