Scratching Post Saturday Night! What a PUMA looks like to the DNC:

Well folks, another Saturday Scratching Post is here and what a week!  Obama-Jesus DNC-Christ SuperStah will return next week from his “OMFG! EUROPE LOOOOOOOVES HIM!” tour so why doesn’t he stay there then, it’s not like we LOOOVE him here.   Other than give away free food, pay for a concert and speak to 20,000 Berliners, he chose to diss our wounded veterans.

Can’t wait to hear Lanni Davis defend that on “No We Won’t Radio with Sheri Tag” this Sunday at 8pm.

Lanny, for Democracy’s sake, I hope that you can take a moment tomorrow and acknowledge what is happening to the “Democratic” Party (and I use quotes because it truly is ironic to use a word like “”Democratic” to describe a party that no longer operates as such).

Almost every political poll in the past two weeks shows how “Undecided” voters are growing as the DNC’s coronation draws near.  Gee, what about all those Yellow Dog Democrats, you say?  Didn’t you get the news Lanny?  Ole Yeller died– and from its broken bones, a PUMA emerged.  Maybe this example is too extreme, but it certainly demonstrates how the seed of discontent is slowly turning into a Domino Effect:

Whatever you do or say tomorrow, Lanny dear, please don’t make us support the DNC’s selection of an illegitimate candidate.  It’s not about Hillary anymore.  It’s about fighting for Democracy and how every vote should count.  It’s about fighting what Harold Ickes said at the RBC on May 31st, 2008, the “hijacking” of Democracy itself.

Speaking of “fighting,” this morning our gracious PUMA High Priestess Mother Riverdaughter said the DNC thinks that PUMAs are “a mullet headed Che Guevara with ADHD.”  GaryChapellHill brought it to my attention that this phrase would make a perfect “Satire on a Budget”  moment.  Special h/t to Mawm for GIMP software suggestion – and yes, it’s definitely a “satire on budget” moment:

"Gimme my votes!"

"Count every vote and say hello to my little friend!"

Personally, I think we all agree that PUMAs look more like this:

"I'm watching you DNC! Do right by me and Democracy - or everything you do will turn out wrong!"

"I'm watching you DNC!"

So Lanny, we’re not “mullet headed Che Guevaras with ADHD” – we are 1 in 18 million Democrats who support Hillary Clinton and who won’t stand for the Libertarianist takeover of the “Democratic” Party.   And we mean it!

Conflucians, what would you say to Lanny if you happen to be a lucky caller on the line tomorrow?  Drop it in the comments box and let’s compare notes so we get the message right.

Rico is serving his now famous Causmos, Pink PUMAs and Mountain Lion Martinis.  Flo has her catcher’s mitt on just in cases a foul word pops into the thread.  If you have some extra cash and want to donate it for Hillary, click on the brown lunch bag above.

Since it’s a thunderstormy Saturday in my neck of the woods, nothing is better than to watch a good movie on a rainy night.  Here’s a thrilling moment from V for Vendetta that will let Lanny know that we’ll REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER:

¡Que viva los PUMAs!

(Long live PUMAs!)

  1. This heat is KILLING me. I’m getting fat and cranky and I’m not in ANY mood for being H.O.U.N.D.ed by anyone. Just give me a drink — something straight-up and chilled (no ice)

    (sigh)

Please. Rico — I’m sorry for the burst of temper. It’s just too dang hot. And I am to dang fat.

  2. Where did you get that perfect photo of me in my neighborhood?

    PUMA$ Who Donate Rule!

  3. (giggling) Hi Carol!

And SM — I’m sorry for yelling. Thank you so much for the Party! Have you had a good day?

  4. Perfect video!

  5. Hey my PUMAs!

Carol, I know you swear by Victoria’s Secret, but the paparazzi caught you in a Cross your Heart Bra!

Katiebird: Hi, thanks for asking, one week without my PUMA cub, and the worst part? Her dad just called me to say that she just got her first period. WITHOUT MEEEE!!! That was MY MOMENT TO BE WITH HER, NOT HIM!

  6. SM, nice artwork. You crack me up.

  7. You should move to EUROPE, because Senator Obama will be the next President of United States America!!!

    MYJ4OBAMA!!!

  8. I’ve lived in Europe. I prefer the US.

  9. MYJ, not if we have anything to do with it.,

  10. SM, that could be a recruiting poster for BZero’s private security force.

  11. SM, did you use GIMP for this piece? It looks like you used clone tool.

  12. Shouldn’t it be MYBJ4OBAMA?

  13. Prolix – LOL!

  14. Please, someone take him out of the spam queue or my joke doesn’t make sense.

  15. Oh, SM — I’m so sorry! For both of you…

  16. Mawm, yes & THANK you for GIMP. I don’t know what the heck I did, I fiddled around with it for a while and came up with the best I could, considering I am not a graphic artist by any means.

  17. SM, Keep it up your creations are hillarious.

  18. SM, it looks great. Powerful. I didn’t know there was a version of GIMP for Windows.

  19. sm77 – that’s okay – I had to teach my son to shave and buy his first shaver. And, I’m sure she will share plenty of “cramps” and pms with you throughout the years. (Bless her heart, she was probably embarrassed.)

Cross your heart has better support! I only wear the VS while Eddy is here – well for a while anyway!

  20. The Dean waxing was one of my favorites. The PUMA women remind me of the scary costumed people in the movie the Shining. They are sort of attractive and scary at the same time.

Did you read in the comments from early the next morning, an Obamabot was complaining about the depiction of torture. I laughed so hard. ANd they accuse us of being humorless.

  21. Katiebird & Carol, thanks – She’s ok, she says that she remembered everything I told her, her aunt from her dad’s side helped her. I’m just upset that her first moment should have been here at home with mom. Ugh!

RICO, gimme a double Silver Patron shot with club soda on the side.

  22. SM—great as always….love the trailer park background…that just adds that extra touch of class it needed!!!

  23. RICO make it 2 for sm77, and I will have one also!

  24. ..and I just saw the trash cans….real “trailer trash”…PURRfect!!!

  25. Mawm – I can’t access the spam thingy, admins are need for that I think.

I have some more ideas for the PUMA women, and LOL on that Obamabot comment, I didn’t see that one!

Well, waxing is like torture in a way.

  26. Can you pass on my post to Lanny? :O)

    Don’t blame the puma.

    http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/2008/07/dont-blame-puma.html

(I don’t want to post it here, it is looooong)

  27. gary and SM – it gives it that republican, lower class look that all of us Hillary Supporters are associated with – in my opinion, the best of the caste system!

    PUMA$ Who Donate Rule!

  28. Gary – I found that picture and said OMG, this is perfect – the caption of that pictue is “abandoned trailer park.”

  29. PUMA$ are into S&M – especially while we are in our Cross Your Hearts!

  30. So what are we going to tell Lanny Davis tomorrow?

I think the DNC sent him to quiet us down. I dunno, but Lanny better not start his “Hillary for VP” spiel.

  31. Planned Parenthood supported BO because of that tackful statement he made on “teen pregnancy” – “I don’t want to have my daughter ‘punished’ with a baby if she ……………”

He really is a great orator – he has such a way with words and ideas.

    PUMA$ Who Donate Rule!

  32. Did you hear ….Obama plastered his campaign crap while he was in Jerusalem…..pissed off a few jews.

I heard that too! Israel wasn’t too pleased or impressed with the Obama-Jesus DNC-Christ Superstah.

  34. SM–I made an after hours post i was going to put up later tonight …I have a song dedication to Lanny…

As long as his daughters aren’t feeling “blue” about it, why not?

  36. did you read his prayer at the western wall? to keep HIM safe…no thought for peace in that troubled region…what a selfish jerk…

  37. Lanny

    1. No VP under any circumstances.
    2. Tell her we love her and have been paying down “our campaign debt” with her.
    3. Put your name into the Nomination and fight with all of your might, fight for all of sakes, fight for the sake of our country, our soldiers, our children, our safety and our happiness.

This isn’t hop scotch, or jacks, or chinese checkers.

DON’T GIVE UP, YOU WILL WIN IF YOU DON’T QUIT!

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITY IN THE WORLD – IT IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR – WIN OR LOSE!

    PUMA

  38. Gary – THAT’S GREAT & please do so whenever you feel it’s time!!

Lanny’s a career Democrat and for the most part, a Hillary loyalist. I suspect he’ll push the “Hillary stands behind the DNC & Obama” crap, but we MUST let him know we’re not budging.

  39. HoDo — I was thinking about the Charlotte PUMAs and their protest. Since Dean is still ‘touring’ and his reaction to protests is so predictable, I wonder if protesting PUMAs at other places couldn’t have a little musical number set up that plays off of his various insults.

This is not something I’m very good at, but when he says they’re ‘low class’ they could answer back with a little ditty that includes ‘low class’ in it (I swear there’s some lyrics that have that phrase in it that’s on the tip of my tongue).

Or make up standard political chants to whatever blah blah campaign riffs he repeats.

I wish I were more creative and could give an example of what I mean, but overall I’m thinking a whole Rocky Horror interactive kind of schtick (of course, Howard wouldn’t be volunteering for his part). So when Dean mentions BO’s name, stand up, chant ‘The Dauphin’ 3 times and sit down again. If he mentions the convention, chant ‘coronation’.

If it’s funny enough, the rest of the audience will appreciate the humor and may start looking forward to each interruption to see what PUMAs will come up with.

  40. Lanny is coming to us because he wants good company with people that support his views. It is our friend, our comrade in arms.

Lanny – it is time to make history not acquiesce.

STAND ON PRINCIPLE – YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE TALLEST PERSON IN THE ROOM!

  41. SM – please put an exclaimation on the end of my sentence and take away the 1.

    Thank you.

  42. I hope Lanny comes out of the PUMA closet.

C’mon Lanny! We sure could use you on our side!

  43. Lanny …. Primary reform …..You could really help there.

PRIMARY REFORM. The cause of all the problems.

  44. Is it me or does Lanny remind anyone else of the Professor on Rocky and Bullwinkle?

  45. Obama is more like the Chancellor than V. On the teevee and everything.

  46. Wow. That drink really helped and the heat broke with the Thunder Storm.

If I could talk to Lanny

I’d ask him why we never heard exactly HOW unqualified Obama was compared to any other candidate in history. Why no one mentioned that Obama had never held a full time job.

I’d ask why so many of Obama’s weakness were hidden from us — are still hidden from most voters.

And why voters should be asked to rally behind an Unqualified, Illegitimate and Unelectable candidate — BEFORE he’s even been nominated.

I’d ask him if (considering those weaknesses) H.O.U.N.D.s really believe Obama can win.

And (finally) I’d ask him what’s going on. WHY does this Unelectable person have so many powerful supporters?

Bleah It’s too weird. I’d never have the nerve.

  47. What happened to the progressive movement that played the 1812 Overture w/the 2006 Congressinal victory? Clinton supporters became the heroes of V for Vendetta.

  48. Donna, hi & welcome! I read your blog a few times a week. Thank you for stopping by!

Obama IS the Chancellor – we are V & Evie, & everyone with a Guy Fawkes mask.

  49. I think he’s going to be pushing the Unity ticket:

  50. or maybe he knows that it is now out of the question and he’s turning PUMA…..

  51. Great questions, kb, that we’d all like to the answers.

Taking a break from cleaning. May I have the vodka from the freezer and some cranberry juice?

    Thanks.

  52. like to know the answers – geesh – preview is my friend

  53. I have to confess, I don’t watch TV, so I don’t know who Lanny is. Can someone give me a clue?

  54. Wow, DonnaDarko’s here. She only has one of the best blogs in the known universe. It’s great to be in her company!

  55. Lanny – we are focused and united to get a Democrat into office – Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton!

  56. Donna – are you a Texan – that is my favorite breakfast!

  57. PUMAs are this! umm, hmm………..

especially when they encounter somebody who eats things like old yeller!

get a grip hound! Or should we claw you for Old YELLERS sake!

  58. ohioana, Lanny Davis has been a long time supporter and confidant of the Clinton’s. He got quite a lot of air time during the Clinton impeachment trial as an advocate for Bill Clinton on cable news shows (which were still pretty new at the time)

  59. This is what I’d say to Lanny:

Hi Lanny, thank you for coming to this show. We all recognize you arduous work and support for Hillary. I must say Lanny that I cannot stand with the current DNC’s decision. You yourself were there at the RBC meeting, and what I saw from my end of the TV was TREASON to Democracy.

I want Hillary on the nomination ballot – I want an open convention, and there is no way that Hillary should run as VP with her winning the most popular votes and the largest electoral map states and swing states. It’s undermining Democracy itself if that happens. Dean and Brazile have killed the Democratic party and I will not be a part of it until they are gone.

  60. ah, thanks, WigWag.

  61. OMG did BO really say this after his Berlin speech: “it allowed me to send a message to the American people that the judgments I have made and the judgments I will make are ones that are going to result in them being safer.”
    http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-bolton26-2008jul26,0,4549608.story

  62. That sounds good SM, much less bitter than mine…

  63. On Lanny Davis —

I’d like to know how he, or any Democrat, can justify telling us to ‘get over’ a party that has abandoned us, broken its trust with us, cheated in favor of one candidate, and stood by in deafening silence during the most blatant and disgusting show of sexism and misogyny of my lifetime.

When a party has abandoned its principles, what should a loyal member of that party do besides end their support?

Really, I’d like him to be asked the question, why should we go home to our abusers just because they say they’re sorry for hitting us? (except they haven’t even said sorry, but let’s pretend). I’d love to hear the answer to the abusive spouse analogy.

And I’d like just one prominent Democrat to say that yes, we have legitimate concerns, and not be told we’re ‘grieving’ or ‘healing’ or ‘need to get over it’ or ‘sore losers.’

Actually, I’d love to hear him explain how he first heard of PUMA and what prompted him to agree to be on the show. And was he frightened to come on, since so many other Democrats seem terrified of us.

  64. The Lanny Davis story from Wikipedia:

Davis grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. His father was a dentist in Jersey City and his mother worked as the office manager of his father’s dental office.[1] As an undergraduate at Yale, he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. According to an item in U.S. News & World Report, as part of his initiation into the fraternity, Davis underwent hazing by, among others, the future U.S. president George W. Bush. [2] He also served as chairman of the campus newspaper, the Yale Daily News.[3] Davis went on to graduate from Yale Law School in 1970. It was there that he first met Hillary Rodham Clinton.[4]

Davis now lives in Potomac, Maryland with his second wife, Carolyn Atwell-Davis, who is the legislative affairs director for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They have four children. [5] One of his sons, Seth, is a columnist for Sports Illustrated magazine and a college basketball commentator for CBS.[6]

From 1970 to 1972, Davis was National Director of Youth Coalition for Muskie, the youth organization of Edmund S. Muskie’s unsuccessful campaign for the 1972 Democratic Party Presidential nomination.

In 1976, Davis ran for Congress as a Democrat in Maryland’s 8th congressional district. After winning the Democratic nomination, he was in a close contest with Republican Newton Steers before losing after a major scandal broke out over Davis mischaracterizing his own academic record at Yale Law School.[7]

Davis served three terms (1980-1992) on the Democratic National Committee representing the State of Maryland. In 2005, President Bush appointed Davis to serve as the only Democrat on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board.

Davis started his legal career as an associate at Patton Boggs in 1975 and became a partner in 1978. He served as special counsel to the President from 1996 to 1998, during which time he also was the spokesman for Clinton in issues regarding campaign finance investigations and other legal issues, including President Clinton’s impeachment trial.

After leaving the White House, Davis returned to Patton Boggs. As part of his work there, he worked as a lobbyist for the nation of Pakistan prior to the attacks of September 11, 2001.[8] In 2003, Davis became a partner in Washington, D.C. office of the law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. There, he provides counseling to corporations and government contractors on crisis management.

In 2008, Davis supported Senator Hillary Clinton in her race for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States, and has appeared on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC as a surrogate for her. After Clinton conceded, Davis went on to support Barack Obama.

  65. Down: WHAT JUDGEMENT DOES OBAMA HAVE???

SO he’s now jury, judge and executioner of the USA?

  66. Valhalla: “And I’d like just one prominent Democrat to say that yes, we have legitimate concerns, and not be told we’re ‘grieving’ or ‘healing’ or ‘need to get over it’ or ’sore losers.’”

Oh, God — Yes! Me too.

  67. Miss you Gary.

WOuldn’t it be nice if Lanny made some news on No We Won’t, something like, “Screw Obama, you guys are right!’. Can you imagine the exposure?
I won’t hold my breath. I believe this is Hillary Recon, though, and a chance to relay messages to her. I wouldn’t doubt if she actually listens to it. What other election news is there?

  68. I think Obama might have chronic fatigue syndrome:

When asked how he was feeling the other day, he told reporters aboard his campaign plane that he was feeling a bit “sleepy.”

  69. My message to her would be Carol’s.
Lanny, tell Hillary to fight, fight, fight. The future of our country is at stake. Obama is a disaster. At least make a stand for Democracy at the convention.

    No Coronations!!!!!

  70. MAWM, if you stay up late enough to see my after hours post, you’ll be pleased! xoxoxo

C’mon Lanny, come out of the closet and say you’re a PUMA!

  72. DownListen – the writer declared his Berlin speech as “substantively content-free” as all of his other speeches. The periodic speeches that do contain some substance are radical.

    PUMA$ Who Donate Rule!

I know you are looking Lanny – don’t let us down.

Hi Hillary, Bill and Chelsea (I know you are looking also) We LOVE all of you.

  73. Maybe if we told Obama he had been appointed Emperor of the World he would go back on tour and leave us alone.

We could hire bands in every country to open for him.

  74. I am sick of Leah fucking Daughtry…she is Donna’s little henchwoman, and she is a total homophobe…I knew she was a liar and a bigot, but I didn’t know she was CEO of the Convention….Her is a lie she told to fox news about protesters at the convention:

The host party says it supports the free speech rights of those planning to demonstrate. But city officials hope the messages are delivered peacefully.

Convention CEO Leah Daughtry said they want “to ensure that those who come with messages have an opportunity and the space to bring their messages to the delegates.”

can we find out her email and phone #? I’d love to give her evangelical ass a piece of my mind!

  75. Gary, That “sleepy” thing always stand out to me because I suffer from sleepiness too. And as someone who is nearly always tired, I have to wonder why anyone like that would want to be president? It’s goofy.

  76. Can we buy bill board space around the hotels and convention center telling the SD’s to do their job – chicken shits!

  77. He’s like GWB – he intends to delegate and retire.

  78. Carol, that is a great idea. Need to find out how much that costs.

  79. that on earth put that last comment in the spam queue? Bizarre.

that is what I was wondering since the friends of his that we know of are radicals. Read the whole article. I wish he clears up some things. I hope he knows that tribes, countries etc. are all not the same and the walls he is talking about tearing down to become one world won’t happen like that. Does anyone have a transcript for his speech?

I saw it posted downstream – do a search for it in the “searchbox” near the top right.

We all agreed it’s too “Rapture – Illuminati” sounding for our Conflucians tastes.

  83. Carol – about the billboards, The Denver Group & PUMAPAc should have more info – they are the ones with that type of $ raising capabilities & action items.

  84. Hi SM and good evening from SF. It’s hot here, too, and I’m thirsty. One Causmo please.

I think I’d just ask him how he feels about the way things turned out. Does he think the election was fair? Does he think HRC’s name should be put into nomination? Does he think the winner of the popular vote should be the nominee? Jesus, I guess I have a lot of questions. Sorry.

  85. I’m laughing AGAIN! These pictures are priceless! I wish I had that much abdominal definition–my waistline has gone to sh*t in the last 6 months, because I go online instead of outside. Just call me Che! Viva las PUMAs!

  86. I found it much easier to watch my waistline once it got out where I could see it without looking down.

  87. PUMA-SF, Hi & welcome! Hot in San Fran? What is it, 60 degrees? (joking!)

Those are perfect questions? IMO, I want him to answer how he expects us to unite under an illegitimate candidate, especially when he was there in person to witness the hijack.

Someone here at the Confluence (forget who, sorry!) said that the RBC meeting was like witnessing a hit and run car crash, and while we’re screaming the guilty one, the powers that be just look the other way.

  88. Ah, and that reminds me of another one, SM — WHAT happened during that lunch. What was the idea behind the theft of the 4 delegates. AND how did they justify re-assigning the uncommited delegates to Obama?

    How did it REALLY happen?

  89. MyIQ — (snort) I’m NOT saying anything though.

  90. Katiebird – THAT’s right! The secret lunch!!! Was Lanny there?

Taggles, if you are reading this – please, please, please read & take our questions and comments to Lanny!

  91. You’d better believe Israel’s not getting on board with BO. Hillary stated EMPHATICALLY that she would support Israel should Iran attack them, but ‘bots attacked that as more warmongering. Now it’s okay if BO says he wants to win the war in Afghanistan, and scrubs comments on his opposition to the surge. The Jews in Israel can smell a rat a mile away. Anyone who is descended from those who withstood the greatest single genocide our planet has ever known has that EXQUISITELY TUNED voice in their gut. And their gut instinct is dead-on. Israel doesn’t like idiots who come to their country looking for photo-ops while not vowing to protect it.

  92. Obama Family Tree Tangled By Polygamy

Obama has at least 7 (maybe 8) half siblings from 4 different women. Papa got around.

    http://patriotroom.com/?p=621

  93. new nickname for Obama.

    “Drama Obama”

  94. SM,

That “satire on a budget” photoshop of Che in a mullet is your best effort yet! I laughed till I cried. You are the greatest.

  95. It’s nice to be here. Yes, 60 is normal for the summer here but today it must have gotten to about 78!! I know that’s not hot for you in your neck of the woods but people go bat shit here if it gets over 65.

Yes, highjacked is right and if the Karl Rove-Donna B. connection is true that it’s really down and dirty almost sinister.

Boy, they’re having radio trouble tonight.

  96. {{Bostonboomer!!}}

Are you having a good day?

  97. katiebird –where’s joaniebone tonight???

  98. Boston – really??? Aw, thanks! Like the bra & Che beard?

  99. As for protests, I always loved the Billionaires for Bush organization; that’s great street theater. All they had to do was dress up fancy as hell [that’s fun!], hold funny-assed signs about how they love Bush/Cheney to keep them rich, and show up. No shouting, no explaining, and everyone [even the Repubs] knew there was truth in it. As a baby boomer who remembers some grim protests from the 60s, these are fun, inoffensive to the public & no one can object. Satire works better than screeching & offended whining any day, even if they’re fully justified.

  100. indigogrrl, I don’t know. I haven’t seen her here all day.

  101. Have y’all seen the latest AP headline:

US now winning war in Iraq

How’s McGoverbama going to handle that one?

  102. Irlandese, on July 26th, 2008 at 9:16 pm Said: Edit Comment

    Israelis are PUMAs too!

  103. We could dress up as poor tramps or union workers or the like, and beg to be let back into the Dem party, since we were the ones thrown out, instead of looking as though we left the party. Have signs begging Donna to please let us into the new coalition, that we’ll clean up their lattes or crap like that. Whaddya think?

  104. PUMA-SF: San Fran is probably one of my favorite cities in the US, but yes, it’s cold as heck. What I found so curious is that on one city block it’s 50 degrees and you go down a couple of blocks, you’re then in a big cloud and then it’s 30 degrees, then you leave the cloud and then it’s 50 again.

  105. I think we should have a cocktail post where we all pretend we’re in San Francisco….

  106. Conflucians:

    I have to disappoint you.

I have spent too time and nerves asking some commenters at TM.com not to call people racist simply because they won’t vote for Obama.

I ended up being so infuriated that I have now decided that I want Obama to run for POTUS every day of every year. As pathetic and vexing as it is, I have to learn to enjoy the perverse spectacle of watching a bunch of whites running around calling other whites racist just because of a they don’t agree on the awesomeness of a candidate.

  107. parentofed, everybody (men, women, kids, black, white, Asian, Hispanic, whatever) could just show up all dressed and made up as bitter old white women, clinging to their Bibles (no guns) sucking lemons and passing out Cling Free dryer sheets.

  108. Well, you have an open invitation to come and visit any time you like. I happen to live in one of the warm “micro-climates” here but you’ll still need a coat and a scarf for the evening when the fog rolls in. This city is crazy. I can be in the sun all day and my friends on the other side of town will be fogged in all day.

I think I’ll write to the Super D’s right now. They haven’t heard from me for a couple of days so I need to remind them I’m still here.

  109. Puma-SF, I’m hoping to go out in October. We’ll stay at the Seal Rock Inn for a while and relatives the rest of the time. IF we can go….

  110. Katie, PUMA-SF is hosting PUMA cocktails in SF!

  111. Evening, everyone. I received my PUMA bracelets today. I feel like I’m wearing a powerful talisman or totem of the PUMA clan. Grrrrr.

  112. Katiebird,

I think we should split up your list of questions and each call in one at a time and ask them of Lanny tomorrow night.

Yes, I’m having a good day. I hope you are too. I finally got paid for my hard labor and I was able to pay some bills. I just have tonight and tomorrow and then it’s back to work for two more weeks. But I just spent some of my precious remaining time writing a post. I was thinking of putting it up tonight, but I’d rather read Gary’s. Mine is a little bit serious and would probably be more appropriate for tomorrow afternoon.

  113. Parentofed: LOL!!! The cling free did it for me!

  114. SM,

I love the bra and beard, but the best part was the trailer park in the background. That added just the right touch.

  115. Boston – Please post soon! Gary has a special song or something for the late night crowd.

Good for you & work, and with Lanny, I agree! We should have an itinerary set – I hope Sheri Tag will accept calls for his segment.

  116. I wonder too about lani…I just listened to part of Bob Shrum’s interview on NQR. he was flogging the Uity Pony hard…It was hard with Carter/Teddy (he worked for Teddy then). But now it’s easier – same platform, just personalities. B0 campaign has been exemplarily restrained about us PUMAs. That’s when I turned it off.

  117. Absolutely, cocktails at my house. I love the Seal Rock Inn but it’s cold out there. I hope to meet all of you at the convention and you are more then welcome to come and stay in SF. Come on down!

  118. Boston: But we ARE trailer trash! And I’ve never even been in a trailer park, and I live in FL, capital of trailer park-dom.

  119. “B0 campaign has been exemplarily restrained about us PUMAs”

(LAUGHING) Does anyone CARE what the Obots think of PUMAs?

They’ve been restrained? Like what are they going to do if they weren’t restrained. Come to our houses?

Idiot. Not the same platform. Not just personalitites, though I abhor Obama’s. One candidate had you know like full time job experience. Some of us expect that in a President.

  121. Puma-SF– I can’t make promises. Everytime I do the whole thing falls apart. But, I’m hoping… And I’ll be shouting it ALOUD if it happens.

    I’d love to Meet-Up!

  122. how is calling us low-class humorless republicans restrained???? that’s my question for lanny…oh and I forgot racist…

  123. so essentially McCain is within 4 points without doing anything. It’s all Obama all the time and he can’t close the deal. I love it. I think people are starting to realize that the joke is over.

  124. gary:

Did Lanny really go off such a low road. He’s a guy I really like(d).

  125. I’d like someone to ask Lanny how the DNC/Obama coalition can blame HRC/PUMA for splitting the party when they were the ones who ran a campaign designed to do just that so they could beat her?

  126. Anyway, I’ll listen tomorrow to No We Won’t – because I want to see Ricky

  127. MABlue, that was Bob Shrum who said those things (see edgeoforever). I think.

  128. hear Ricly that is – and maybe ask her stuff

  129. And (I’d ask) Would they REALLY rather we all just silently decide to not vote for Obama? Doesn’t the knowledge of our dissatisfaction give them some power?

The power to do something sensible rather than something hopeless…

  130. Restrained? Who the hell are these people, the FBI? They’ve called us and Hillary every despicable name, some have threatened violence,or advocated that if we don’t shape up [sorry, Katiebird, I feel your pain].

Really, could one damn friggin DNC official, SD, or party elder say just one damn friggin thing that isn’t over the top offensive? I cannot believe this has been my party for 40 solid years. There must be someone, just one person, anyone that can speak for the Democratic party & not be a total jerk. I had decided that if they deny Hillary a real vote at the convention, I’m changing to Indy, but I don’t know if I can wait that long.

must go calm down, must go…..

LANNY is going to get torn to shreds tomorrow if he starts that crap.

  132. Thanks parentofed — And I feel yours.

  133. No problem, I totally understand there’s a lot to do and see here and when you throw relatives into the mix it’s hard to predict. No worries but if it works out – fabulous.

  134. Couch time (I’ll be back)

  135. What did the host say about this “restrained” bs? I can’t even begin to imagine what that means.

  136. katie, thanks for clearing that up, I thought Davis said that too….

  137. You probably saw this already, but here is my take.

    Main Stream Media Ignoring PUMAS

There is an 800 lb. donkey in the living room and it is kicking over the furniture. MSM can’t ignore it forever.

    http://patriotroom.com/?p=623

  138. Still not calm, but I think what happened it that the Dems have just gone nuts over the past 8 years, dealing with the humiliation & frustration of BushCo. I think they decided some time ago that Obama could win if everyone got behind him, and they are determined to win, no matter what it takes, just like the Repubs did. Hello?

They’re acting like Republicans, do they not see that? They’re emulating them in everything, right down to a slick, sewn-up convention that’s no more than another photo-op.

okay, really going to calm down this time..

  139. Barack Obama’s brother pushes Chinese imports on US
    http://countusout.wordpress.com/

  140. Don’t know if I’m calm, but let me say that these people still don’t get it. They can say all the mean things they want, but we will still won’t vote for Obama, we still won’t donate money or time, and we will still criticize him in print or person.

Better be signing up a dead person or felon or high schooler to take my place, DNC.

  141. SM,

Should I really post it now? It’s a psychological evaluation of Barack Obama. If you want it, I’ll post it. I plan to stay up for awhile tonight.

  142. I would simply ask Lanny how he can support this take over of the Democratic Party… He knows that its not kosher, why stand behind it?
If nobody takes a stand, there is no longer Democratic Party…

  143. sm77-Love V for Vendetta! The dominoes is one of the coolest parts. Thanks for the clip. Reminds me to go watch it when things feel hopeless.

  144. no longer *A* Democratic Party!!!

  145. I’ll say it again–Nancy Pelosi, in her interview in this month’s Harper’s Bazaar, tells her own BO “conversion story” from all the way back in 2004. Says “friends in the DNC” let her in on this AMAZING (f**k I hate that stupid word anymore) speaker. If this isn’t an admission of pre-primary favoritism, I don’t know what would be. Maybe she doesn’t think any of us read the articles; it’s just an upscale fashion mag for whip-de-do’s with bucks.

  146. That Perry Logan is a trip.

  147. Boston, I’d check with Gary – I know he had something like a PUMA song planned or something for the late nighters.

If it’s that psycho eval I’ve been dying to read from you – WOWOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gary? Whaddaya say?

  148. I would ask Lanny why not a single DNC official or party elder stood up for the Clintons when they were called racists. I would ask why not a single DNC official or party elder spoke out against the media & criticized Obama’s sexism in the slightest degree. They could have said, they don’t support Hillary or whatever, but just say that was wrong, that it was insulting to Bill Clinton, our former Democratic president, that it was insulting to a Democratic senator, that it was insulting to her followers.

Since Democrats in effect condoned all that, what makes them better than Republicans on any social justice issues?

  149. I don’t care….I can put mine up around midnight/12:30 if thats ok????

  150. i’d love to read yours…mine is just fluff

  151. Joan – WE are the dominoes in Guy Fawkes PUMA masks. Good that you like it!

  152. Boston & Gary, just a sugesstion, if there’s going to be multiple posts in a relatively short time – please insert the pagebreak “More” button, that way people can do a short scroll down and see your post & Gary’s post for equal top billing.

  153. OK, I’ll put it up now. I always use the “more” thing. I like to see multiple posts on the front page.

  154. YES!!! Boston – take it away!

  155. MABlue, good to see you, dude. And snicker—yeah. In a sick, cyncial way, in a I better laugh or I will cry way, it’s hilarious. All the fingerpointing.

Oh, Flying Spaghetti Monster save us.

josgirl—Cling Free in one hand and Eggo waffles in the other. If you can put down your gun and your bible long enough.

KB, I have a graphic for you. Is it katiebird at gmail dot com?

  156. The post is up. I hope you like it.

  157. I thought that the joint presser with Sarkozy was beyond arrogant. I’m praying that BO picks Hegel or Nunn as VP. Tlhat will make it so easy to not vote for him.
Saw some elderly African Americans with “Got Hope?”
tee shirts today and I’m teetering. Think I can post this because I’v e been here for a few months.
    Intevention,please?

  158. he’s giving them false hope…think about that…he’s an asshole

  159. Thanks, garychapelhill. My whole life, I’ve sided with the”minority” community and, now, to be in opposition feels so strange.

  160. SweetieSue, you are not in opposition to the minority community. Obama does not represent “the minority community.”,

  161. In the stage props department, folks could show up at outside protests with puma masks and lattes, and dump the lattes on the ground (this would only be good if outside, no need to make some poor janitorial staff clean up the dnc’s mess!).

Other random props — cups of change to rattle when hope and ‘change’ come up (since change is all any of us will have left after any time with BO as prez), or (empty) lunchboxes to represent ‘lunchbox Dems’ and what the DNC has left them with — a whole lotta nothin’.

  162. sm and wigwag,

    Anyone who’s ANYONE is a Conflucan! :->

I’m taking a leave before the convention believe it or not because of Obamacan death threats. So if I have to I’ll leave my bombs so to speak in comments.

  163. Donna – that is CRAZY!!!!

CALL THE FBI !!!!!! PLEASE REPORT IT!!!

PLEASE feel free to drop anything you want in the comments section – change your ID online or something – don’t let them silence you!!

  164. SM: LOL! The trailer park is a nice touch. We got ourselves a DOUBLE wide.
    Excellent.
