Kamala Harris and Joe Biden each have terrible records. There is no reason to believe they will do much that is good, and every reason to believe they will do much that is bad. Trump will, at least for Americans, probably be even worse. (It is less clear he will be better for foreigners.) The […]

48 + 2 = Legitimacy

Free the Florida and Michigan Delegations!

The Confluence is united in it’s adamant insistence that all 50 states be seated with equal power and authority at the Democratic convention this summer. We believe that any discussion of “delegates needed” or “magic numbers” must use the number 2209 for validity.

The time for reasoned arguments is past.  What’s left is this simple truth:  This country has 50 states and Guam isn’t one of them. Unless full delegations from all 50 states vote on our Democratic Nominee at the convention millions and millions of voters from across the country will not accept the legitimacy of the nomination process.

The very idea of this historic convention being overshadowed by what should have been a minor procedural issue disgusts me. We’ll be writing about this issue everyday until it’s settled: We will not let it go!

Comments and slogans and graphic art would be gratefully appreciated.  Let’s do our bit to keep this issue alive and in the public eye.

2025 <> Legitimacy.

  2. Sorry, that didn’t work:

  3. Kbird: I LOVE it!

  4. Thanks so much for your support! We Michiganders really appreciate it. We want our election to count as originally cast and certified by our Secretary of State. And we want our superdelegates to have their full voice and vote. We’re losing patience and want this resolved ASAP!! Otherwise many of us will be voting for John McCain in November. Thanks again!!

  5. Would anyone who wants to preserve Clinton’s cleaner longterm energy planning from destruction under the magic “lets not look closely” contingent of our former party now laying waste our future – please call Rep Jerry McNerney today.

Please call SF Bay Area Superdelegate Jerry McNerney this moning!!!

Last night he was being accosted today by the thug army of kossarians unleashed by some diaryist there who is, like all of them over there, clueless about what his energy policy really is – they just read the pretty headlines, not the fine print.

    Here’s the phone number:
    925-833-0643

Ask why should a wind advocate like Jerry settle for someone who only offers a mere 5 year extension of the PTC? Hillary makes it permanent.

This is so crucial to enabling windfarms to start up in this country, so its crucial to solving the energy crisis (you can then develop a clean electric car industry to run on the windpower) and great climate change policy.

I believe McNerney is torn. He would obviously prefer Hillary on clean energy (he’s obviously read both the plans!) but the kossarians will be really hammering on him. Don’t let those ignorant mobs decide your future!

    Here’s the phone number:

  6. I wish to drive 95 mph through the school zone near where I work. May I count on you to support my rules breaking? Didn’t think so. A truly ethical person enters a contest understanding the rules & follows them. They don’t start whining about the rules once it appears they are not going to prevail. I understand & obey traffic rules, much as I understand football rules.(I no longer play even flag football so I don’t have to obey them, but I do while watching my dear Packers.) Come, kids, get in the game to stay in the game.

  7. What’s is the DNC’s sanction on Obama going to be for breaking the rules by running campaign ads in Florida?

  8. talk about bitter people. you are. There are rules. Clinton agreed to ’em. Get over it. It’s despicable to see such blatant hypocrisy and disregard for the rules.

If your campaign doesn’t like the rules of getting elected, what laws are you going to pay attention to in office?

I understand you’re upset that you hitched yourself to the wrong wagon, but you’ll get over it.

  9. Every time the DNC asks for money from here on out I’m going to send off a Monopoly 20 dollar bill. Fake money for a fake primary.

  10. You can hitch yourself to whatever wagon you want, but President McCain might think otherwise.

Obama will not win in November.

    Obama supporters are very naive.

  11. Dosregard for the rules? Bwahahaha. How about disregard for real people who went out and voted. By the way, the rules called for at most a 50% stripping of delegates, not 100% and never the supers. Also, no Party has ever been successful in sanctioning states in primaries. Are you aware of that?

  12. You can think of it as a ‘flop’ on the DNC part that generated a pentalty shot and they tossed up two bricks.

Could be a game changer – but really the ‘flop’ itself was the cheat.

  13. I agree with the sentiment here on these boards that FL/MI need to be counted but I cannot really see a scenario where this happens. I sort of have a slightly related but a bit more general question here as well. Is a large part of HRC’s GE electability argument based upon her current situation? I think a lot of BO supporters say they would vote for HRC because they are confident that their guy is going to be at the top of the ticket.

My basic operating premise is that either side will eventually need the other. I just cannot imagine a scenario where HRC emerges the nominee without negatively affecting her GE chances (via enraging BO supporters). Right now the narrative within the Democratic Party seems to be, HRC is either a valiant underdog or a dangerous pest. Obama is either really awesome or a ruthlessly efficient Republican Party Trojan horse. How can HRC get on top without being perceived as a usurper? Say we seat FL as is and redo Michigan and the delegate count comes much closer and then this is followed by a SD switch to HRC; would this scenario avoid a powerful backlash?

  14. It’s truly amazing the lengths to which Obamabots will go to defend the “rules” as long as they same “rules” don’t apply to Obama.

South Carolina, New Hampshire and Iowa all violated the very same rule that Florida and Michigan violated. The sanction for violating those rules–specified in the rules–is 50% of delegates, not 100% of delegates. But, the RBL never applied the sanction to 3 of the 5 states which violated the “rules.”

The DNC allowed South Carolina, New Hampshire and Iowa to violate the deadline dates for their primaries, and then turned around and sanctioned Florida and Michigan with double the penalty specified in the “rules.”

Moreover, Barack Obama violated the pledge not to run campaign ads in Florida, as well as the pledge not to hold press conferences in Florida.

What shall be Obama’s sanction under “the rules” which the Obamabots love so much? Shall he be denied 100% of the delegates from Florida and Michigan? What shall be the sanction for South Carolina, New Hampshire and Iowa under the RBL of the DNC–which they clearly violated by holding their primaries outside of the limited dates? Shall we deny 100% of THEIR delegates in the count toward the nominee?

Obamabots are like greedy little sociopaths–they love the “rules” when it helps them; but they don’t like the “rules” much when they are applied equally to all.

  15. There are rules. Clinton agreed to ‘em.

And she abided by them, unlike Obama who still ran ads in Florida. The agreement was to not campaign or run ads. None of the candidates agreed to allow the complete stripping of delegates, and for one simple reason – that was entirely the DNC’s decision, and it happened after the primaries in FL and MI were held.

BTW, the usual punishment for jumping the gun is losing half the pledged delgates and none of the superdelegates. It’s actually in those precious rules. For some unknown reason, the DNC went a bit farther this year. I just can’t imagine why.

  16. Time Mag cover:

  17. The RBL’s crazy decision to take 100% of the delegates from Florida and Michigan is a preliminary decision. The states were told that they could come back with a new plan to allocate delegates within the timeframe. Obama relied on a preliminary decision to w/draw his name from Michigan and then worked overtime to ensure that new delegate allocations systems would not be approved. Why the DNC ever felt they needed the campaigns approval to authorized new allocations systems for these states is beyond me. Dean totally blew it. Now, the decision on whether these delegations are to be seated is voted on by two more committees this summer. It is not a final decison until the Convention votes on it. All credential decisions are ultimately made by the Convention delegates. That is why the DNC has to get Hillary out of the race.

  18. Perhaps it would benefit those who preach the rules to actually read them.

    Click to access 2008delegateselectionrules.pdf

The rules have rules on how to change the rules. This is a selction process, not an election.

The DNC Delegate Selection Rules provide remedies to reinstate all of their delegates, both pledged and unpledged. The Rules and Bylaws Committee has the power to lift any and all automatic sanctions (the automatic sanction is tripping delegations of 50% of their delegates, not discounting the popular vote, which stand).

If you think that denying these voters now will not have an affect in the General Election, I suggest strongly that you are wrong. Not only will this affect the race for the White House, it will affect downticket races in both of these states as well.

  19. coldH2O: Here’s a little cold water for you. Whether the RULZ were violated or not makes not a whit of difference. The voters of Florida and Michigan are the innocent victims of this. PLUS, there was nothing in the RULZ that said there needed to be a penalty at all. Yep. The Rules and Bylaws committee could have granted them a waiver or penalized them for the next primary season or cut their delegations by half or even, and this sounds really radical, penalized NH, IA, and SC for moving up their primaries by applying the same harsh zero tolerance policy. They did nothing of the kind. Instead, they have decided to lose the election this fall.
I’m not sure you are grasping the enormity of this situation. I think you may still be in the grips of an emotional reposnse to everything Clinton. And you and thousands of Democrats like you who are unable to see how greviously you are deluded will have to be brought to a conscious state by drastic action.
We are going nuclear on the party in order to try and save it from itself. We are not going to behave like indulgent parents and give into its demands no matter how bad they are for it.
Now, you may not like it and it might cause you stress and sleepless nights but there you are. Come to your senses now or suffer the consequences in November.
    your choice.

  20. Obama’s 50-State Plan: Buy 48, Shaft 2.

Speaking of buying, here in KY I’m getting glossy, beautiful mailers from Obama. The last two highlighted unions and pics of Mom & Dad. Maybe Obama is inviting blue collar & women onto his coalition bus. After all, Donna did say it’s time to come together.

Dear Sen Obama and Donna, I’m honored, but must decline; even a run-over dog has a little pride..

  21. Yeah…we got trolls (concern and otherwise)!!!

    I myself like 48+2=2209

    sounds more like math….

  22. So sorry to OT here, and on such an excellent positive topic. But I have to get this out. It’s for the Obama women (who have lost being female)

    Not God but a swastika
So black no sky could squeak through.
    Every woman adores a Fascist,
The boot in the face, the brute
Brute heart of a brute like you.

    –Daddy, Sylvia Plath.

Obama women, Plath is being sardonic. Women don’t really love a boot in the face… They just keep getting one.

Obama women, you won’t listen to us.
Will you listen to Sylvia Plath?
Do you even know who she was?

    Sorry for the interuption.
    Go MIchigan and Florida!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. RD says: I’m not sure you are grasping the enormity of this situation.

Obama supporters think that our opposition to Obama is like their opposition to Clinton – a tactical game, playing along with the candidate’s election propaganda.

What they are not getting is that this time the “hold your nose and vote the way we tell you to” isn’t going to work. Not that it ever really did work – Dems always lost using that strategy anyway.

But this time it could kill the party. What Obama’s people aren’t getting is that the Democratic party is spending all of the party’s political capital on this.

If you Obama supporters throw us “old coalition” out of the party by letting Obama and his DNC enablers get away with these cheap tricks, not only will the “old coalition” not vote for Obama – but much of it will actively fight him in November.

  24. “If you think that denying these voters now will not have an affect in the General Election, I suggest strongly that you are wrong. Not only will this affect the race for the White House, it will affect downticket races in both of these states as well.”

I’m pretty convinced at this point that the DNC does not really have a response to this reality. If I had to guess I would say it is; delay until it is not important anymore then offer the olive branch. I really doubt that is going to work.

  25. If the votes in Michigan aren’t counted then I would like to see our state officially separate from the Democratic Party and pay no dues, etc. I also believe the DNC should refund the Michigan taxpayers for our primary election. It’s OBVIOUS that the actions against Michigan and Florida were done for purely political reasons so Obama could be guaranteed the nomination. What a sham primary election this truly is! In fact with all the field reports of voting fraud and intimidation by Obama supporters the Democratic primary election results are entirely suspect. This has been “mis explained” in the main stream media too. Only Fox News consistently reports that Obama took himself voluntarily off the ticket not because of the “rules” required it. Whenever I see Donna Brazille I switch the channel since she played a big part in the “punishment”. She should be fired for this!

  26. If anything this shows Hillary’s poor decision making ability. She signed a pledge not to campaign in Florida or Michigan (Obama wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan) but she campaigned anyway and then reversed her decision on the DNCs position. Which is it Hillary?

How about those Obama supporters in Michigan who couldn’t even vote for him because he wasn’t on the ballot? And you want to count that sham of an election?? That’s not democracy that’s rigging an election.

    Give me a break.

  27. If only I still had a subscription to Time so I could cancel it.

For our guests who are obsessed with The ROOLz:

There was no agreement by Clinton or any other candidate to the permanent disenfranchisement of FLA and MI voters.

The DNC rules did not require that FLA and MI be penalized at all for moving up their primary dates. Penalties were to be imposed only if the Democrats in the relevant state had not taken action to prevent the change in date, or were powerless to stop it. In FLA, the change was passed by a Republican majority in the state senate; the state Democrats were held hostage to this legislation by the Republicans decision to tie essential balloting reforms to the date change legislation. Florida Democrats made many proposals to ameliorate the situation to the DNC, all of which were rejected.

The ROOLz did not authorize the penalty that was imposed; rather, they authorized only cutting in half the votes allocated to the state delegation. In other words, delegates were to have 1/2 vote each, rather than one.

The DNC permitted Obama to veto repeated proposals by the MI and FLA state parties, which he did for the sole purpose of preserving his lead in pledged delegates. Maintaining this advantage was more important to him than the enfranchisement of two state critical to a Democratic victory in the fall. He refused to take his chances in a re-vote in either state — including the chance that he would improve his vote totals in FLA, and gain a significant portion of the MI votes as a result of putting himself back on the state ballot — because he wanted Democrats who had voted in the Republican primaries in FLA and MI to vote twice. Yes, he wanted to let voters who had already voted for delegates pledged to Romney, McCain and Ron Paul to vote again for delegates pledged to him.

So please don’t talk to me about The ROOLz. And don’t talk to me about sucking it up. Yesterday, as readers on this blog know, I wrote that I would vote for Obama in the fall. It’s people like you who are THIS CLOSE to convincing me once and for all NOT to vote for Obama in the fall.

    So suck THAT up.

  28. She didn’t campaign in Florida or Michigan. She never agreed real people’s votes won’t count. Obam removed his name from the ballot. No Party has even successfuly sanctioned states from the nominating process.

  29. OUR PATH TO THE NOMINATION
Or: We never legitimately lost a Primary)
By David Axelrod and David Plouffe

New Hampshire–Racist White women. Bradley effect. Hillary cried on purpose.

    Nevada–We actually won.

    Florida–Didn’t count.

    Michigan–Didn’t count.

    New York–Hillary lives there.

New Jersey–Too close to New York to count.

    Massachusetts–Racist Irish.

    California–Racist Latinos. Racist Asians.

    Arkansas–Hillary used to live there.

    Tennessee–Very close to Arkansas.

    Oklahoma–Is that a state?

    Ohio–Archie Bunker voters.

    Texas–We actually won.

Pennsylvania–Bitter White People who cling to guns and religion.

    Indiana–Rush Limbaugh.

West Virginia–We aren’t campaigning there. Not worth our while.

Kentucky–We aren’t campaigning there. More important things to do.

Puerto Rico–We already declared victory; so vote doesn’t count.

  30. Her delegates can’t count because they were illegitimate elections. That’s the bottom line.

Anything other than a new election is a joke. When only one name appears on the ballot we have a dictatorship.

  31. So Precious has “strode onto the House floor “to talk to the delegates both committed and not.
here is what I thought interesting…“Even Republicans were not immune. Rep. Chip Pickering (R-Miss.) brought his children over to say hello. Obama also spoke with Republican Reps. David Dreier (Calif.) and Jerry Lewis (Calif.). Rep. Ray LaHood (R-Ill.) came running after him, and Rep. Barbara Cubin (R-Wyo.) came over to chat.”.

Some of the most unsavory of the California R’s…

    http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/obama-talks-to-superdelegates-on-house-floor-2008-05-08.html

  32. Son of, her name wasn’t the onlly on the ballot. Oh but you BO people are so full of crap this is useless.

  33. MElanie ~
Wasn’t Kucinich on the ballot? I thought I heard a radio broadcast that day with people saying they had gone to the polls to vote for Kucinich.

    Maybe I’m mistaken.

  34. Yes Obama did let his supporters down in Michigan by removing his name from the ballot. It’s just another example of his consistently poor character and judgment.

  35. She signed a pledge not to campaign in Florida or Michigan (Obama wasn’t even on the ballot in Michigan) but she campaigned anyway

No, she didn’t campaign there – this is a lie. Sorry, not going to listen to someone declaring the bottom line when s/he is lying to us.

  36. The Time cover is of the Time 100, not a pic of Obama as winner.

    http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,20080512,00.html

  37. Yes, and either Dodd or Biden were as well.

  38. Well, it looks like the May 19th cover will be it. Just click on “next.”

When will the issue hit the stands? It’s usually earlier than the cover date.

  39. But there’s no pic there, and there’s an asterisk.

May 12 is this coming Sunday.

  40. plural: But there’s no pic there, and there’s an asterisk.

    1) I imagine the asterix will be b/c he won’t be quite at the required number of delegates.

    2) Magazine covers are usually post-dated.

  41. It was wise of Hillary to remain on the ballot. It shows a true strength of character for her to stand up for what’s right! She doesn’t intimidate easily which is another great reason she will make a great President.

Hillary followed the rules and agreement and didn’t campaign in our state. We’re very grateful she stayed on the ballot.

But there was a well publicized effort by some Obama supporters who specifically directed all the Obama people to vote “uncommitted” and not for Hillary. So much for agreeing not to campaign in our state!

The other states broke the rules and they weren’t punished as Florida and Michigan.

  42. son of bill brasky:

Dodd and Biden were on the ballot, Richardson too, I believe.

The point, however, is that Obama chose to take his name off the ballot. He did it for reasons of his own, presumably because at the time he believed doing so was in his own interests. He was not required to do so by The ROOLz. P.S., it is Obama who broke The ROOLz by running ads in FLA.

Why was it a mistake for her to keep her name on the ballot? She gave people in MI the opportunity to express their support for her. Those who did not support her, could vote for one of the other candidates on the ballot, or vote “uncommitted.” Because, however, Obama chose to take his name off the ballot, his own supporters could not directly express their support; they could only vote “against” Clinton.

So let the 45% of the voters who voted against Clinton send uncommitted delegates to the convention. If Obama is as inevitable as you say, he’ll get them to vote for him.

As for having another election, Obama already put the kabosh on that. He wanted to permit voters who had already elected delegates pledged to Romney or McCain or Paul to vote AGAIN for delegates pledged to him. What the hell kind of ROOL would permit that?

  43. Hillary attended fundraisers in Florida after South Carolina and held a rally on the night of the election in Miami?

    1) Fundraisers were permitted. Obama held one too and gave a ‘forbidden’ press conference afterwards.

    2) rally on the night of the election in Miami?

  44. leslie,

Ohhhhh Noooooo! David Dreier? Does The Precious know that Dreier is gay? Normally The Precious refuses to be in the same room with anyone who is known to be gay. What gives?

  45. She did go to Florida after the polls closed, but that was not against the *rulz* – campaigning with tv ads and giving press conferences was against the *rulz*.

Somehow the spin cycle must have got stuck with everything on one side.

  46. Umm….Son of BB? Obama held a fund-raiser in FL right before the primary and then illegally gave a press availability outside. He also ran ads on cable TV in FL before the primary. Deal with it. Your candidate cheated. He cheated in Indiana too. He’s a liar and a cheat. He’s corrupt. Go ahead and vote for him. I’ve already resigned myself to McCain as prez, because Obama can’t win in Nov. You’re not dealing with that yet, but you will.

  47. So, a politico article says Obama plans to declare victory on the 20th.

Looks like this Time thing is coordinated.

  48. He can declare anything he wants.

  49. Yes, Obama hatched a scheme to get himself a 3 other candidates to remove their names from the ballot to embarrass Hillary with Iowa voters and because he was polling at 19% in the state. We don’t need to reward political expediancy.

  50. son of bb~
“Florida and Michigan acted foolishly and without their voters interest. “

Last night I linked to a crooks and liars March 9 video/post of Debbie Wasserman Schhultz. In this video she fully explains the GOP role in moving the primary forward. IIRC the Dems voted “Aye” because only if the proposal passed would FL have a paper trail for their votes. A PAPER TRAIL in FL. !!

If the proposal had been voted down, there would be no paper trail and then possiblt another court challenge. Golly no wonder they voted to move the date forward.

I hate to tell you, but except for getting up to pee a few times a night, I sleep fairly well. But you didn’t say whether or not you’ll be organizing to go nuclear on the local constabulary when they bust my sorry ass for going 95 mph through a school zone. How come? What’s really sad about this is that you ought to be figuring out how to go nuclear on McLiar & not people who are your friends or at least people you could share an evening with. BTW, during that awful, lousy time of Pres. Clinton’s troubles, I was sending snail mail like a crazy man in defense of Bill. My daughter, to help pay her way through school, was working like a dervish to raise money for the whole Democratic Party, including helping Pres. Clinton. It’s astonishing that you would say I have some sort of Clinton issue. I don’t. I have switched my support as my original guys left the race. Now I’m spending time trying to get John Edwards to be appointed A.G., since it’s my belief that he has the real sisu to put the Bu$hCo criminals behind bars. But that doesn’t matter to you, since you’re planning an adolescent foot stomping party. Have at it, kiddo.

  52. Hi all–just a note to katiebird, RD. and others writing! Use the tags in wordpress, it really works. On the post you did about Florida and Mich–tag that with all the words you can think of realted to that.

You cannot believe how many search using the tags. For instance if they were searching for Hillary, Hillary Clinton, unfair, Florida, Michigan, election, election fraud, and so forth, you will get millions more in traffic. Sometimes I put Senate and Congress in my tags when I want them to hear. Or FEC, like that. I’m using sitemeter and you can see the traffic? A lot of it comes from Washington DC or universities–also you could tag with the names like Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi and so forth. It really works. If you want to see do a search for these words off Google — propaganda election 2008
    RD, look who is #3

you may have so much traffic behind the scenes — but check the searches to see what they are using?

    xxoo! your pal, me!

  53. The DNC has invited delegates from both states but the delegates aren’t legitimate because the ballots weren’t.

Ooooh, how gracious of them, they get a pass to the building and get invited to the parties! And they get to applaud Obama when he makes his acceptance speech instead of having the camera pan on their empty seats! YAY!!

The ballots were quite legitimate in both states. Obama chose not to give the voters of MI the opportunity to vote for delegates pledged to him. In FLA, they were all on the ballot. If Obama is so inevitable, then he should have nothing to fear by permitting the delegates to be seated BEFORE he declares his own victory. Alternatively, he can wait until he’s amassed 2209 delegates, rather than only 2025, to declare victory.

He can choose. But anything else is illegimate.

  54. Apparently what these Obama supporters and a most of the MSM do not realize is that this has become pretty personal to most of us. We’ve been marginalized, insulted, relegated to thebackground because we stand beside a candidate far more suited to become president. What they need to do is to take a look at other blogs and letters to the editor section of many newspapers to begin to formulate the reality of a lot us who will be staying at home come November.

They are wrong in assuming that what they are now hearing is must disgruntlement which will dissipate in November. They need a reality check because this will not automatically disappear on Donna’s directive and the GOP will have done their collective assasination equally well by then,

  55. coldH2Owi

Cold water indeed. You are one of the least persuasive people who could possibly have shown up here to urge us to give Obama a chance. Oh, I forgot, “urging” isn’t what you’re doing. Hectoring, lecturing, condescending, telling people to “suck it up.” I see you’ve taken unifier lessons from a pro.

  56. litigatormom-

How condescending of you, thanks. Now I’ll move on to the adult blogs.

  57. BTD has an interesting view of Teh Math.

    It’s still really close.

Makes those calls. Give that money. We’ll kick in on Money Fridays (Money Mondays are reserved for paying bills here at the dudeless). I will continue to use my troll-dropping + WWTSBQ factor to determine how much to give.

BTW the Florida newspaper’s reporting of Sen. Obama’s _breaking of the rules in Florida_:

    http://www2.tbo.com/content/2007/sep/30/obama-vows-do-whats-right/?news-breaking

“By WILLIAM MARCH and ELAINE SILVESTRINI The Tampa Tribune
    Published: September 30, 2007

TAMPA – Barack Obama hinted during a Tampa fundraiser Sunday that if he’s the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, he’ll seat a Florida delegation at the party’s national convention, despite national party sanctions prohibiting it.

Obama also appeared to violate a pledge he and the other leading candidates took by holding a brief news conference outside the fundraiser. That was less than a day after the pledge took effect Saturday, and Obama is the first Democratic presidential candidate to visit Florida since then.”

  58. Before all contests have been completed, before all votes are counted, before a convention has been held, the press has unanimously agreed that Obama is the nominee? Has Bush done such a swell job of weakening democracy that it is perfectly acceptable to just straight out name the victor before all the public has spoken? Gives me the creeps. We probably won’t have to bother with primaries in four years. Just dial up Donna at the DNC and she will do the picking for us.

  59. Step back folks and take a look at the “big picture”.

Oh, and by the way, Son of Bill Brasky, we don’t have no truck with you and your weak, false arguments.

So, as I was saying, step back and look at all that’s transpired after Tuesday: 1) BO will crowns himself king on 5/20; 2) he visits the house floor to lobby superdelegates; 3) he’s spreading rumors about helping Hillary make her next car payment; 4) they’re talking about MI/FL again and 5) a potential Time magazine cover announcing him the nominee. Doesn’t it seem odd all of this is coming together soooo quickly, like a confluence or something? It’s the sound of the BO campaign seizing on this tiny window of opportunity to close this race down when HRC and her supporters are down. “Hurry, hurry, before WV and KY, make them believe I’m the King.”

Hillary’s not falling for it and neither are we. Keep donating, keep calling, keep talking to friends and neighbors. This isn’t over until Denver.

  60. Kucinich,Gravel, Dodd,Clinton were on the ballot in MI.

  61. Quite a few trolls showing up today, huh? I guess the Obamacans aren’t as confident as they claim.

  62. ah, I understand that the Judith above is not theJudith from another site. I stand corrected.

I’ll be the young Judith then. It suits me. 🙂

Pat Johnson – great post. make them finish the counting just like Gore should have.

  63. The Democratic Party won’t let this go to Denver. H. Clinton will continue to show that she is a fighter in the remaining contests and try to convince MI and FL voters that she is pleading on their behalf when she is actually desparate and needs their votes to even have a fighting chance. She voted against having your votes count – remember? But then she will do anything to win, right or wrong.

  64. Michigan Delegates?
    Let’s go to the RULES…

  65. Oops. heh.

Section 13. Fair Reflection of Presidential Preferences

    A. Delegates shall be allocated in a fashion that fairly reflects the expressed presidential preference or uncommitted status of the primary voters […]

    That applies to Michigan.
