On the Ground in PA

Today, we continued our persuasive canvassing of Central PA. Before I go any further, I have to tell you that the Harrisburg area is Obama territory for a couple of reasons: 1.) it has a very high African-American population in the city and 2.) There are Republicans here who very much want Hillary to lose. That probably harshed your mellow, right? Well, it shouldn’t.

Once More to the Fainting Couch

Kid Oakland has had another terrible shock that has sent him reeling once again to the fainting couch.  Poor dear. Just a little over a week ago, Kid was making noises about working on some kind of rapproachment with Clinton supporters in the hopes that we would come around and accept Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee. But that’s all water under the bridge now that Hillary Clinton has dared to mention Obama’s latest faux pas.

This clip cuts off before the famous “bitter” remarks. But, it includes a piece of his speech that’s been glossed over — the part where Obama explains that … Well, listen for yourself:

I’m a native San Franciscan but, this video made me sick. Actually watching as Obama and a roomful of San Franciscan millionaires laugh at the racism* of small town rubes disgusted me.

Today on This Week, Donna Brazile, explained that this is Obama in his Constitutional Professor hat. She thinks he’s trying to teach us something. Well, the only thing I’m learning is that smug-self-satisfaction isn’t a reliable vote getting attitude.

[Update] * Because apparently the only reason to not LOVE Barack Obama is that he’s 47 and African American.
