It’s so amazing to me that we still have engineers and designers who are more concerned with helping people than cashing in for big money. Deciwatt.org raised four times their asking amount, and the low-power lamps will be used in places like India and Africa. Bookmark It

Winter break

Hi guys, I’m still working on my super secret project which I hope to unveil to you soon.  The news is at lull level at the moment while the various forms of government play Conan the Barbarian (the Republicans) or ritually immolate themselves (the Democrats).  There may be a method to Harry Reid’s madness, I don’t know.  I think he’s capable of playing at least 3D chess.  We’ll see.  But anyway, I’m drifting again…

So, I thought if might be a good idea for all of us to take the day off and pamper ourselves so that we can be refreshed and ready for the insanity that starts next week.  I’ve chosen this video from youtube blogger Julia at TheThirdShift, a Canadian-Swiss who has access to a rustic cabin in the Alps for weekend getaways.  In this video, Julia describes a spa day.

Go brew some tea, light your fire, fill up the tub and relax.  Baby, it might be cold outside but it’s warm and cozy in here.  Ahhhh….

Start with Julia’s trip to the cabin.

And follow with the oatmeal mask.

(Yeah, yeah, I know that bed is to die for.  Some people have all the luck.)

  1. ” There has to be a pony in here somewhere”. Punchline to an old joke. . . .

Here is a bright side I will try looking on. Reid wrote that “leave Social Security” letter and got 27 other Democratic Senators to sign it.
Did they mean it? One way to block the BS Obama Catfood Plan is with every aggressive and underhanded use of current filibuster rules.
The only reason that certain Catfood Democrat Senators were talking about “reforming the filibuster” is because they wanted to deny the filibuster weapon to those Social Security Senators who might want to use it against the BS Obama Catfood Plan. The fact that Reid wants to leave the filibuster alone this session means that the Catfood Democrats and the Republicans can’t ram the Catfood Plan through a
    “no filibuster anymore” Senate.

With the filibuster (among other things) still in place, the Catfood Obamacrat Senators have to be concerned that the SS Democratic Senators might use it against the BS Obama Catfood Plan. There is no guarantee they will. They may all have been lying when they wrote and signed that letter. But they “could”. The SS Democratic Senators can constipate the Senate to a dead stop over this issue if they want to. They can stop the Legisfecal Excretion Process so thoroughly that not one single Legisturd can pass the Senatorial Rectum until the BS Obama Catfood Plan is flushed back down the toilet which Obama fished it up out of.
