    • Looks like Scottish Independence is a “No”
The calls are coming in. Assuming they are correct, I think this vote is a mistake, and I note that having been given a clean vote to leave and a chance to live their own values, but having given in to fear; for me, at least, Scottish complaints about privatization of the NHS and other [...]

Beatitudes that Ayn Rand and Glenn Beck could love

Check these out.  Doesn’t this sound like Paul Ryan and Wall Street’s favorite sayings?  Couldn’t you see a Tea Party conservative adopting these as their creed to condemn the parasites?

  • Blessed are the strong, for they shall possess the earth. Cursed are the weak, for they shall inherit the yoke!
  • Blessed are the powerful, for they shall be reverenced among men. Cursed are the feeble, for they shall be blotted out!
  • Blessed are the bold, for they shall be masters of the world. Cursed are the righteously humble, for they shall be trodden under cloven hoofs!
  • Blessed are the victorious, for victory is the basis of right. Cursed are the vanquished, for they shall be vassals forever!
  • Blessed are the iron-handed, for the unfit shall flee before them. Cursed are the poor in spirit, for they shall be spat upon!

These “beatitudes” are from…

wait for it

you’re going to love this…

The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey.

Whoo Hoo!  Satan worshipping conservatives!  You gotta love it.  That last beatitude must have been intended for the authoritarian types who can’t wait to beat the shit out of the Occupy movement for making noise and causing a disturbance.

Ok, the truth is that the LeVeyian’s don’t really worship a being called Satan (or so they say). But they do live by those beatitudes.

It makes you wonder how many Satanists are lurking in political party leadership, doesn’t it?

  1. That is a question which Jeff Wells at Rigorous Intuition 2.0 has been asking . . and offering answers to . . for several years now. Among the other things he writes about.

    • Cool! I’ve got to check him out. There’s much more where that came from. In general, Satanists are into hedonism and serving themselves. That doesn’t mean they’re devil worshippers but selfishness can lead to bad things. They are Ayn Rand’s most devout disciples. I think LaVey must have learned a lot from Rand.

  2. I would never have heard of Rigorous Intuition if a co-worker (pharmacist) hadn’t told me about it. I have found it to be a brain-expanding site in general, though some of the stuff gets genuinely weird. But I set that aside and keep thinking about the plausible and the possible. He has divided out the articles by “topics” as well as by
chronological archives, and the “topic area” with the articles about
serious (no joke) satanism as well as other coherent systems of Philosophical Immoralism among the upper classes is called . . .
“The Military-Occult Complex, ritual abuse/mind control, and “High Weirdness” ” .

I realise I shouldn’t start barking like a pointer dog ( ” Wow look at this! Wow look at this! WowWowWow!”). And I can almost help myself but not quite, so I will just post a clickylink to one of the blogposts called: The Clown At Midnight, posted in 2006.

By the way, America has some real creepy religions which have nothing to do with those fuddy duddy old Three Abrahamic Faiths.
Behold! . . . The Temple of Set.

  3. Season 9, Episode 4 of South Park had a plot line in which Satan’s Sith said, “We’ll just do what we always do. Use the Republicans.” I have tremendous ambivalence about South Park, but once in while they hit it out of the park.

  4. Mark Twain wrote that Satan was the spiritual leader of half of the human race and the political leader of all of it. Of course Macchiavelli wrote that appearance is more important than reality because appearance bewcomes reality … or President of the United States cause that is all the man has … appearance. Well, Macchiavelli never directly wrote about Obama and the Obots but he called it hundreds oif years early.

    • I have a suspicion about the “Obots”. It is not even a theory because I have no observational impression to base it on, so it is just a suspicion. Here it is . . . . the front-line volunteers in the Obama campaign, especially pre-election were almost all 25 years old or younger. In other words, adolescents or barely post-adolescents. The
pre-frontal lobes of the brain are still forming and wiring/rewiring and jacking into the rest of the brain at that age. Adolescents do harmful things especially if gathered up into packs and gangs. Normally the adults in the lives of adolescents try to keep the adolescents controlled and moderated until they become adults. That much fissile
pre-adult material can “go critical” if gathered together into big enough masses. The Obama campaign engineers and the Democrat/DNC Party Lords worked to demoderate and decontrol this highly unstable and fissile adolescent material into deployable critical masses which were then dropped or launched wherever a “political neutron bomb effect” was desired. If my suspicion is correct, primary blame falls upon the Obama campaign engineers and the DNC Party Lords for assembling and weaponising these decontrolled demoderated masses of unstable fissile adolescent material.
