If you were Hillary Clinton, would you want to clean up after Barack Obama? Hell no.
I do agree on one thing. The Big Dog must have asked for something big. I can’t imagine what it is but if I were Hillary, I wouldn’t accept anything less than a Supreme Court appointment to replace Ruth Bader-Ginsburg before the election.
It would be a real Hail Mary pass.
Other than that, I’m not sure what Clinton wanted from Obama. It’s curious how so many people want Hillary to run but didn’t have the balls to ask for it in 2012 when her chances were pretty good.
There was a different article in The Hill about what it means if Hillary doesn’t run in 2016. It seems that Congress has already come to terms with that possibility. They think it’s going to mean a political vacuum because there isn’t anyone with her stature coming up, especially women. Elizabeth Warren *might* have the necessary components but she has to win MA first. Other than that, they got nada.
I think they are a little bit concerned.
I think it would be a little extreme to think anyone’s going to elect another 1st Term Senator again any time soon.
You never know. It would be historic.
Off topic: It’s been 13 years now, but I still miss the Moon.
