The video:

The picture appears to show President Obama ogling the behind of 16 year-old Mayora Tavares. Did the picture lie or was Obama “multitasking?”

    Isn’t it amazing how small things like this can make headlines everywhere, lol. (Or maybe I should be col/cryingoutloud instead?)

    I don’t like the tendency to take a still-picture, which only shows a fragment of a second of a situation, and then read a whole scenario into that. Tempting (for the media), yes … but rarely truthful.

    Now that I’ve watched it again, I think Obama was staring at the young girl, and he quickly helped the other women down the stairs to cover for his faux pas. Sarkozy, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to care whether anyone notices him staring.

      Yes, as I said a bit down thread, the video starts about a second after the photo. Plus, you note that the video doesn’t cover their whole body. So you get no idea of where his eyes are looking.

      It’s just a funny item. What’s really sad how so many try to cover for him.

    Hmm. My first thought was an appreciation for her healthy footwear selection given the negative impact that healed shoes have over time on your body. If anything, I’m sure that’s what Obama is thinking in this instance.

    Personally, I think the video starts a couple of seconds after the photo! Look at the pose of the woman behind him, the one he helps later on. In the photo, she is just standing, and her body language doesn’t imply at all that she is about to come down a step.

    It’s funny how the media always bends backwards to defend him.

    I think the fact that the MSM had to “fix” the problem says all I need to know. The video seems to be shot without the wide angle that the picture shows. It also seems to be some what chopped up. I think it is pretty obvious what he was looking at. My sister pointed out that when Brian Williams was at the White House and giving us the big tour it appeared to show many men in power, mostly older, surrounded by young beautiful women, you know the receptionists and secretaries. My sister called them “eye candy”. They didn’t look like Nixon’s secretary at all.
