    I watched the Revolution series on the History channel all morning. It’s really inspiring, but depressing when viewed through the context of our world today.

    The men who signed the Declaration of Independence took the chance of all chances when they engaged in an act that could have resulted in their hanging for treason had we not been successful in our quest.

    Why do we not take chances anymore? They’ve found a way to corral us like sheep and make us beg for the smallest of crumbs. Somehow I don’t believe that’s what they were thinking about during those tumultuous times.

      I watched that, too. Love that series!! And “John Adams” was excellent. Both really made you feel like you were there. It is beyond sad that we have become so complacent and there are no courageous leaders to stir us. We have nearly destroyed the Republic the Founders envisioned and fought for.

      myiq would know for certain but I believe the libel/slander laws are different for private citizens and public people like politicians.

And the entire Obama family was on stage, with a Marine band playing – and I swear, the Obamas looked like it was the LAST place they wanted to be.

To try and pacify Indies, look for Axelrod and company to put him in more situations where he expresses concern for the deficit and out-of-control spending. Perhaps another “fiscal responsibility” summit at the WH is order. Regardless, Obama will continue to do the exact opposite of what he says.

    i absolutely love the john Adams series. I remember practically forcing myu parents to get HBO for those feew weeks just so i could see it =D. I read the book by David McCullough beforehand, and it really brought everything I knew to life. I reccommend it to everyone.

    And the fireworks here in fairfield connecicut were wonderful! gotta love good fireworks.
