One one hand a lot of folks here voted for McCain (who might have made the Bush tax cuts permanent) and on the other hand I see people (possibly the same ones) complaining because Obama has decided not to roll back Bush tax cuts for the wealthy immediately. There is some inconsistency here.

By the way, even liberal economists agree that rolling back tax cuts is not necessarily the best thing to do in the face of a deep recession. See Paul Krugman's blog for instance. PK was a strong and vocal supporter of Hillary candidacy too.

[...] Obama the Secret Progressive (by myiq2xu at The Confluence) From Chris Bowers: “According to [The Atlantic’s Marc] Ambinder, hiring centrists and Republicans for top positions in the Obama administration actually means that Obama intends to govern in a clearly progressive direction…” Put down your sippy-kup Marc, and check this out: “A senior Obama campaign official shared with The Washington Note that in July 2008, the McCain and Obama camps began to work secretly behind the scenes to assemble large rosters of potential personnel for the administration that only one of the candidates would lead.” WE TOLD YOU SO!
The blogger boiz remind me of the show on A&E, Intervention, except they haven't had one for them yet.

They are making all kinds of excuses and rationalizations about Barry and it's not fooling anyone except them.

There are few options in the current economic environment, and it would take a Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton to come up with good and long term solutions. Obama is in for a rude awakening: dealing with the economy is not as easy as it looks.

I really don't think any of us know who or what BO is. And we are apt to not know after he leaves office. I don't think he has any deeply held beliefs. He floats with the stream. If a conservative had gotten ahold of him twenty years ago and offered him a way up the ladder he would be a Rep. now.

The only thing important to BO is BO. You only have to look at his record to see that. Anyone with true affection for blacks or Dem. ideals could not have used the tactics he did in his first run for office. Anyone concerned about the living conditions of blacks in Chicago would have taken Resco and his friends to task for what they did. None of that mattered to him. He got one position to leverage it into another position to leverage it into another position. To be honest it isn;t his fault if a bunch of stupid white men decided that he was just what they needed to control the direction of government. If he had any scruples he could have tried to tell them he wasn't what they thought, but then again, if they were too stupid to see all this, after years in public service, then why should be bother them with inconsequential stuff like the truth?

They required that he be able to move the masses, he did. They required that he pull his fair share of manipulating the vote, and he did. I don't know what else they want from him. He has plates on the market with his name on them, and he will have a day named after him, that is what he wanted. The rest is just what he has to go through to get it.
