  1. WOA! Does anybody feel as sick as I am?

  2. FrenchNail, For some reason I don’t feel as sick now as I did yesterday. Maybe tomorrow…..

  3. REGROUPING: The Morning After the Day Before (A Joint Post with kenosha Marge) (UPDATED)

    http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com/2008/11/04/regrouping-the-morning-after-the-day-before-a-joint-post-with-kenosha-marge/

  4. FrenchNail
    Yes. :-(

  5. I’m sick.

    I’m sick for McCain.

    I’m Sick for Palin.

I’m sick for my country. We just rewarded cheating, bribery, and thuggery.

I’m going to go get another beer now.

  6. Obama about to speak.

  7. I can beleive the MSM pulled it off. They really are the 5th branch of governement. They sold us a brand. And the majority of people bought it. Today this country of consumers went on a buying binge

  8. BPD, I feel sick to my stomach, too. I didn’t feel like this in 2000 or 2004, bad as that was.

  9. Okay, I’m taking a shower now. I can’t do this.

  10. Well, it’s official. Obama is president. What a strange year this has been. I feel a bit depressed, even though I’m not sure I wanted McCain to win.

I hope Obama turns out better than we all think. My sister pointed out that now Obama has to live with Michelle. The White House is like a prison.

  11. Britannia,

I honestly don’t know what BO has to say. Please don’t live blog it.

    Katiebird,

    Thanks for the new thread.

  12. Wow, this is really a big production.

  13. Just wait until he doesn’t pay that woman’s mortgage. Or have unicorns prancing on Main St in an Obot fantasy of unity and transcendence. We may be sick right now, but some folks are going to have a very rude awakening. I will never enjoy uttering the words “I told you so” more.

  14. I am going on a complete news fast. Early on, during the primaries, I stopped watching all and switched to FOX. I am now boycotting that station. If anything horrible happens, which it will with Zero, I will get my news here. I can’t tolerate seeing his face or hearing his voice!

He WILL go down in history as the most corrupt President we’ve ever had, over Bush, over Nixon!

  15. Katiebird, I feel the same way. Perhaps it’s shock?

  16. BB, okay.

  17. do the obamacrats have the Senate, too?

  18. I heard from Gary a little while ago. He is feeling pretty sick and is resting. He may have to stay in bed tomorrow. He just wanted to let everyone know why he disappeared all of a sudden.

  19. Does anyone know what happened with Mitch McConnell?

  20. Good night y’all — I lasted all day sick for this! :-( I’ll live and so will we all! Let’s keep moving forward.

  21. I keep wondering who is behind Obama and who put him in office.

  22. I have never felt this awful about an election! Ever!

  23. I have a radio appearance in 5 hours. I do not feel like saying anything

  24. lakota – me either

  25. I think we should now fight for Hillary to be Senate majority leader. That’s a very powerful position.

  26. Florence – my tinfoil hat receptors tell me it’s like a shadow government and that Zero is the frontman.

  27. bboomer, last I heard McConnel squeeked by and won. Crap.

  28. What a long crazy journey this has been. The silver lining to the cloud is the campaign ads and calls stop.

    Have a nice night….peace out.

    Mountain Sage

  29. BPD, we rewarded cheating, bribery and thuggery 8 years ago. The DNC just took notes, that’s all.

  30. Could someone clean up the very last post in the previous thread (or near the end), 3 Pumas something or other is spewing crap. I usu. don’t care about the trolls so much but tonight I see the Obots are proving, once again, that there’s nothing quite as ugly as a sore winner.

I think there are lots of ways to judge people, but the 9th Circle of Hell is reserved for those who can’t be gracious in victory.

  31. Noway I want to hear about Clinton now. For what I am concerned she got him Pennsylvania

  32. g’night, angienc

  33. I can’t even be happy he’s black. In fact, I hate that.

We are not gonna have a good day.

  34. Good night angie! Feel better–you make this all tolerable :)

  35. Lakota, but who is running the shadow government. Cheney and Big Oil ran Bush. Who is behind Obama? And why?

  36. Thanks, Britannia. I think we kind of need to relax a bit and take stock.

What I think is that we are the canaries in the coal mine. We know what Barack Obama is. Americans will wake up to it sooner or later.

My main goals are to fight the misogyny and fight for restoration of constitutional protections: most of all habeas corpus.

  37. ‘elp, ‘elp, I’m being moderated! Please let me out, I promise to be good.

  38. I love you ALL, each and every one of you!

Thank you for maintaining your INTEGRITY.

I am re-registering as an independent as of TOMORROW.

  39. French Nail, it was probably Rendell who got him PA. He has a big machine throughout the state.

  40. I feel badly for the Real Dems too. They worked so hard in OH & PA, giving their money, time and great effort. Harriet must be crestfallen.

  41. I cannot believe this fraud pulled it off.

with the help of the msm, and not counting all the votes again!

  42. It might be shock. I’m sober. That’s a help. I’m glad I didn’t have a glass of wine.

Here’s what I think. NOW we’ll see how serious they are about Health Care.

I think it’ll be fun to watch this.

  43. Lakota — it might not be that tinfoly — Michelle Whitedove, psychic, said the same thing — Hillary cut a deal with the shadow government which is why she stumped for BO so hard! LOL c’est la vie — won’t we don’ know won’t hurt us, I suppose.

  44. What’s going on? They are done counting the votes and Mac trails by 100,000 votes…he conceded..oh barf

  45. katiebird – I’m glad I DID have a glass of wine…

  46. good night for real this time fif & jsvp!

  47. Lakota,

Zbignew B is behind Obama, just like he was behind Jimmy Carter. Carter only had one term. If you want to know some more speculative stuff, read Joseph Cannon at Cannonfire.com.

  48. I would like to thank every PUMA for doing the right thing, for standing up for what is right, and being great role models for every citizen.

Now get to work and save our country. The Obots want us demoralized so they can do as they wish with our country. Get mad, get motivated, get to work.

    God bless America

  49. Goodnight, Angie. Be well.

  50. I think I’m gonna watch some trash tv.

  51. Hey, my little photo finally appeared. It’s of a forest fire.

  52. Goodnight, Angie! I’m probably off to bed soon myself.

Sleep in if you can and get well soon.

  53. Oblowme agreed not to impeach Bush etc.

  54. Night angie – feel better soon! :)

  55. I can’t stop tearing up.. What if when all the votes are tallied, etc., Mc actually had won, what then? Would his concession speech matter? (sorry, I’m not so savy)

  56. I think I’m going to go pour myself a shot of something strong.

    Maker’s Mark sounds good.

  57. Rev wright was correct-

    “God just D@mned America”

this is how liberty dies to thunderous applause!

  58. We know what Barack Obama is. Americans will wake up to it sooner or later.

After what happened tonight, I have serious doubts.

  59. I just want to say to the Obama supporters who are good people and did not resort to sexism, homophobia, or ageism, congratulations. Even though our country is screwed, the silver lining is that you’re happy tonight.

  60. Rove coached Brazile… clearly Oblowme is the candidate of the ruling class, which wants just to conserve itself through elections.

  61. Britannia, on November 4th, 2008 at 11:49 pm Said:
We know what Barack Obama is. Americans will wake up to it sooner or later.
After what happened tonight, I have serious doubts.

ditto! B/ween academia and the media there is no hope they are going to “wake” up

  62. I think this election was a real education. Before this election, I had a simple view of politics–Dems were good; Repugs were bad. Now I know it’s more complicated.

  63. I am sorry everyone Fuzzybears heart is breaking….I thought I would be ready for this but I am not I am sorry I am totally lost the american people let me down….

    I am so lost….

    utter dispair!

  64. Sean Marston who was so certain about a McCain win just posted a mea culpa on his site: “I was wrong.” He also had this to say:

The PUMA factor looks like it was well overstated. PUMAs were loud, but they didn’t exist in any sizable numbers.

  65. “What if when all the votes are tallied, etc., Mc actually had won, what then? Would his concession speech matter?”

Concessions are meaningless courtesies, but the MSM would raise holy hell as if it were legally binding.

  66. We knew this was going to happen; we just refused to acknowledge it. The fix was in a long time ago and we watched them do whatever it took to get him here. But listening to the pundits pontificate on this historical epic is more than I can tolerate.

He cheated, he lied, he strong armed, he intimidated, he took money that has questionable roots and they sit their on their overpaid asses and speak of him as if he were the 8th Wonder of the World.

Honesty and integrity has no place in our country anymore. It rests with how much you can get and how fast your hands work to get it. Accountability, responsibility and character have been replaced by what we just lived through.

Celebrating this victory is hypocritical. The nation will pay the price.

  67. We’ve been going over some video still on my Flip from Denver. SimoFish should have some good stuff for us tomorrow. Watch out, Tags.

  68. I needed a drink, but I haven’t drunk as much as I though I would. I feel blank.

I just need to know how to talk to my children about this.

I am really stubborn, but I still am trying to figure out how states are called w/o all the votes. I am still clinging–that’s right, clinging.

How could Johnny NOT have conceded? AS KB said, there are tens of thousands of people in Grant Park expecting victory.

What happends if they wake up tomorrow and all of our votes actually counted?

  69. We may never know who is behind him,or it may seep out, a lot of other things have. They didn’t matter, but they ended up out there. I, too, beleive this is even worse than Bush. Can’t beleive I have to say that. The Union Bill will be the first thing they do. That consolidates power for them. Can’t beleive that Democrats want to do away with secret ballots. Then again, they do love the caucus.

Well, everyone. We fought, and sometimes even the righteous lose. I, personally, don’t think that socialism will be a good fit for America, and I also beleive that the chickens will be coming home to roost in a lot of what was done, pretty shortly.

That doesn’t mean we won’t have work to do, at least until they shut us down. I am proud to have been part of this and several other sites, and I truly hope that no one leaves. There will be consequences, and things to be done. Take heart, we did the right thing, and we proved to ourselves ( that;s the only place it really matters) that we could learn and change and face up to reality. A whole lot of people out there simply cannot say that.

  70. Fuzzybears. I am lost too. It’s the time of defeat. The Arrogance of the winners is what is worth though.

  71. {{{FuzzyBear}}}

    ♥♥♥♥♥♥

    This is a sad night.

  72. I am heartsick. How can evil win like this? How can they call it a victory against racism, when it is a victory won through intimidation of voters, race baiting, lies, vile use of money, profound media and corporate bias, and horrid sexism? What a tragedy for our country that both democracy and women have been abused to achieve, in my opinion, a hollow “win.”

I am reminded of the old axiom, “Don’t wish for a new king….” Years more of oppression against women and so many others.

Once again, we eat the crumbs off the floor while the top guy smirks and lies more.

  73. emma,

You are correct. Obama is the ruling class choice. Where do you think he got all that money? That was obvious from the beginning for anyone who looked at his donor list.

  74. sorry everyone my spirit is utterly broken I am unable to think or type….

I am sorry I wanted to be the one you could lean on but tonight I found I am not half the person I thought I was….

  75. Fuzzybear, take a deep breath. We’re all here together. We got through the ugliness of the primary.

Obama was lucky. the economy tanked and suddenly everyone remember ed Clinton and how he created a good economy.

Remember, Obama will have to live with Michelle in a house. He can’t be on the road all the time.

  76. OMG!!

Riots in front of the White House gates now!!!

    WTF!!!!

  77. I feel sick…..
Now all I can say is he better fucking get us out of Iraq properly, get Hillary on healthcare asap and start getting some serious energy ideas that have more substance than dissing us to the world and telling us not to go on our family weekends or to inflate our tires.
Lets see if the messiah can deliver the goods.
    Sorry, I feel sick….

  78. hey y’all I can’t sleep. Can I hang out for a while longer?

  79. THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS ARE FUCKING GOPING NUTS IN FRONT OF THE WHITE HOUSE AGAINST THE GATES!!!

  80. Seriously -so there is still hope???? Truman? fuzzy don’t despair!!! The MSM has weighed in, but the American people haven’t been heard. And even if they are swindled, we will know that they are not completely lost!

  81. Earlier tonight, the CNN’s front page had a picture up of an old African American lady, who seemed to be poor and have had a tough life. My heart really went out to her. When I saw her picture, what crossed my mind was, for her sake and people like her, I hope Obama succeeds and uses his power to do something good for people like her. I hope he does her proud, is what I thought. I’m so emotional right now, the thought of that old lady and her hopes makes me cry.

  82. IronMan,

What are you talking about? What is happening?

  83. FOX just played the LIVE video from outside the White House.

Said Secret Service was on alert at the White House there now.

  84. angie! stay!

  85. angienc

Yes, yes!!! You are a cheerful presence, which is needed!!!

    (insomnia sucks!)

  86. Pat I agree with your latest post except that honesty and integrity does have a place: it rests with us.

The Obots want us demoralized so they can do as they wish with our country. Get mad, get motivated, get to work.

    God bless America

  87. I’m off to bed too. Thanks for the comfort of this community, as always. This will take awhile to digest. I don’t want to be angry for 4 years, but I cannot accept what was done. I will never “accept” corruption. I have been in exile for 8 years, and now 4 more, only now it’s worse because it came from within. I need to rest.

  88. A friend of mine is convinced that all of this is mappped out long in advance by a group of very wealthy, completely unknown to us, folks that are really pulling the strings for the whole planet. We are living in an illusion that we make a difference, it’s all predecided. These are not good people. It couldn’t work out any other way, according to her. And it will be bad, what is coming. Probably worse than we imagine. So I guess we just all do our best to maintain our integrity, do what is right, and lean on each other. No other way to get through it.

The innocence is gone though. I think it has tipped to far for it to be put right again. We will have to just do what we can to influence things on the margins, but the big script is written apparently.

And I think the earlier commenter was right that Hillary ahd Bill understand what is going on as well. Just us folks down here thinking we live in a representative democracy. Forgive my maudlin mood…my heart is broken for John and Sarah and all of the good people who voted for them and tried so hard to do what is right for our country. I wonder if John will retire and not run again when he is up for reelection. I think I might just decide my debt to my country is paid in full after this.

  89. That little midget Bob Barr really fucked McCain in some States.

  90. I want to sleep but am afraid for the first time….

    tonight the american dream died!

  91. I’m sick. Very sick. I’m trying to empty my head of all thoughts. I think I’ll be OK tomorrow as long as I don’t have to listen him orating or all the talk about the brilliant campaign he ran.

How long do you think I’ll have to leave the tv & radio off before things settle down?

  92. brookhaven

Why are so NEEDY, so emotionally impoverished and intellectually bankrupt?

  93. The Republicans did nothing to help McCain or Palin. They were in on the fix also.

McCain let them lie about him over and over. They lied about Palin.

    I want to break something.

I just told Ryan I hated him for voting today for that garbage. Now he is mad at me. I don’t care.

  94. Thank you all for being a supportive home for us.

Our work is cut out for us – if we remain free enough to be able to do it.

  95. Angie,

Hang with us. I don’t think I can go to sleep for awhile either. I need to decompress.

  96. As Scarlett said, “Tomorrow’s another day.” It was Scarlett, wasn’t it? I’m numb, though have been watching a movie, no TV tonight. None! But I know what’s going on. I think a glass of wine is in order.
I will wear my orange tomorrow with pride.

  97. That garbage Michelle in the White House makes me sick!

  98. I am with Pat Johnson on this.

  99. Pat J — you are exactly right — I will never accept this man as my president just like I never accept W — this was a bigger sham then 2000. My mom can tell me I have to keep my mouth shut now (which she literally just called and told me LOL!) but I’m not shutting up.

  100. Brit-

How’d he do in the poorest parts of Illinois? If I were that poor lady I wouldn’t hold my breath. My position is the AA community just got punked. Time will teel though.

  101. They call it “historic” because you should not only take a boot in your face, but also be enthused by this.

  102. Fuzzy – You and me, too. So very sad. Wish I was there to give you a hug.

  103. Now we can say his name without being racist. Unbelievable.

  104. I now have great empathy for the Kerry supporters in ’04 who were so pi$$ed about his conceding before the votes were even all counted. What a letdown!! My vote was absolutely useless (California, but seriously considering Alaska!) SARAH would never have thrown it in just so she could get to bed.

Stay strong, folks. We’re gonna need each other during the next years as The One rewrites the Constitution.

  105. Right hear…I’m still wondering.

  106. Good night all, I have to go work on some more homeworkk. Take care and thanks for all you do, every single one of you.

  107. Well I have drank more than I have drank in years. I have no doubt that tomorrow I will be as sorry as the country will be two years hence.

  108. I need a smoke — I quit 4 years ago — does anyone have a camel non-filter

  109. I didn’t watch TV all day. I waited until after 8 to see what happened. I cried. WE ARE SO F*CKED!

8 years ago I made some predictions about what would happen if Bush got the Presidency. Nearly all of them came true. But even though I made my predictions in a moment of despair, I have to admit Bush ran this country into the ground more spectacularly that even I thought possible. Now it’s Barky’s turn.

    I think I’ll kill myself.

  110. where is our mother RD we so need you! (loud painful wail)

  111. Deep inside my mind I knew it. Just as I knew it in Denver. A set up of this magnitude – almost a billion dollar and all the media and the insiders of Bushco doesn’t let a little thing as the will of the voters stand in their way. Anyone remember SCOTUS interfering for Ohio theft? All the fingerprints are on this thing. From the very start.
Kiddies think they fought and won. When in fact they’ve been played by the dark forces.

  112. fuzzy
Think of it this way: we didn’t REALLY have candidate this time around. McCain was just a little ledge to hang on above the abyss.
Since June , we really lost very little – and gained a lot. Each other.

  113. We survived 8 years of Bush, we can get through this too. I’m not saying it will be easy, because it won’t, but, we are PUMAs, we can endure this too. I love you all.

  114. CWaltz, it would be a horrible, unthinkable thing to be betrayed even by one’s own where others also failed.

  115. A snapshot of things to come: Obots storming the WH gate! For what? Their guy won. But no, let’s break up things just for the hell of it. We are in charge now, get used to it.

I hate all things Bush, and he helped bring this asshole to office just as if he campaigned right alongside of him, but Obama will only increase those powers to king like rule.

McCain said that he only wanted to serve. Obama expects us to serve him. He can sit and rotate on this!!!

  116. edgeoforever–you are exactly right. The real elite has been moving behind the scenes for some time now.

  117. my heart is not broken for John and Sarah – they were always just pawns in the bigger game and they knew that all along. my heart is broken for every single person who ever thought that their voice mattered in this country.

I truly wish I had had the courage to move to Canada after the election in 2004. At least then I may not have cared so much what the sheep in this country did to themselves.

  118. The support of all of you has helped me deal with this unreal election.

    Thank You!

I hope for all of us that President BO will learn to put country before his own interests.

  119. I am doing serious liver damage to myself tonight. Numbing myself with alcohol to deal with this blow to horrendous blow, that was done to democracy.

I cannot believe that someone can lie and still be rewarded with the ultimate goal.

I wore my PUMA bracelet into the voting booth today, while I pull the lever for John McCain. I almost had an orgasm by doing so. It felt so, so good.

Now it all came crashing down tonight, with the reality of living in an Obamadom, for the next 4 years.

    Somebody fucking shoot me!

  120. I think I’m going to register Democrat again, just so I can be a real PUMA.

  121. Oh my God. I just read it here. Oh my God. I am so heart broken. What a sad moment. Evil has triumphed for the moment. That’s all I can think right now.

  122. angienc – Re: Michelle Whitedove – I just checked her blog tonight, and found she put up a new post yesterday (11/3). Her caption: “Whoever Steals the Most Votes Wins”, and says even she can’t tell, but stands by her October post (about Hillary cutting a deal with the shadow gov’t., etc.). It’s enough to make one anxious, or entertained, as you so choose:

    http://www.michellewhitedove.com/Blog-NOV3Election2008.php

I keep trying to rest in bed, and avoid TV. Just caught the tail end of McCain’s concession, as in Sarah Palin walking off stage. Got up to check how people are doing here, and get further clues to give us hope.

We have until the second week in December for the Electoral College to convene, and can hope a scandal will break, or something.

If McCain had shown the videos the RNC was supposed to have on the Obamas, would the outcome be quite different?

Also, the Fox reporter covering McCain said some thought he wanted Obama to win, for the historic significance of the first black (or really, bi-racial) president. Don’t believe the fellow would have said that if he didn’t have a bead on it. Also, he conceded so quickly. What gives with that?

  123. Thank you .Riverdaughter and all the great people here, for this wonderful, sane haven for the last 8+ months! I mostly lurked, but iIfeel like I know you and that you all are my friends.

I don’t think we will be proved wrong in feeling that Obama is a HUGE mistake and will make some huge mistakes in the future as well. I
feel depressed right now, but not as badly as I did last Spring when Hillary conceded – or when the Supremes chose Bush in 2000! I live in Florida. Good luck to you all.

  124. McCain is going to win Missouri.

    Ohio was stolen with fraud.

Florida and NC – what the fuck happened – where is the military vote????????/

  125. I am so heart broken. What a sad moment. Evil has triumphed for the moment.

  126. I want every obot to suffer for the next for years….

When dont ask dont tell is not repealed

    when DOMA is strengthened

    When ENDA is abandoned

when obama says we cannot afford UHC and Equal Pay

when everything the democratic party is about is destroyed

and utterly laid waste and sown with salt so nothing can live there!

  127. He is lying about the money. I can prove him a fraud!

  128. correction* aren’t

  129. PJ – Amen to everything you just said at 12:03am.

I really don’t think we’ve had two parties for awhile. There is just one group running things. They allow us to vote so that we continue to assume we have some control. It sure seems that way to me tonight. No way could PA have gone the way it did!

  130. “The Republicans did nothing to help McCain or Palin. They were in on the fix also.”

Yeah, well, they and the Libertarians will live to regret it, just like the Naderites did. You don’t hand huge amounts of power over to a bunch of shameless thugs and then hope for the best.

  131. D’yall realize how very beautiful we are in defeat? Where else could I read these fantastic insights and witness this compassion?

We are what is great about America and we remain great.

  132. I was tripping over to other news sites and every front page has his kisser plastered all over it. To think we have to look at that for the next 4 years is enough reason to find a cave and stay there. Throw in Jackie Obama for good measure and I will never eat a complete meal again. Ugly.

  133. phlamngophred
I agree. I slowly relinquished the belief my vote mattered since 2000. Somehow, I made myself believe once again today.

  134. Didn’t mean to double post.

  135. Carol, I don’t think the powers that be in the Republican Party wanted McCain to win. They were afraid of him, just as similar people in the Democratic Party were scared of Senator Clinton. Both had to be stopped (as far as “they” were concerned). And I fear bad things are coming.

But I know a lot of die-hard Democrats (as I was until recently) who felt they had to vote for him. I hope they are right that he will not be as bad as I fear. But I plan to stock up on gold and single malt Scotch.

It will be a long four years. Having sites like this one to visit will be a great help!

    djmm

  136. edge- your so right… This was not a win, this was a billion $ take over. I will never believe, the majority of Americans voted for this thug fair & square. I think this is worse than 2000, 2004, I’m numb…
But, you’ve all been here, which does make it more tolerable than 2000, 2004…

  137. We are getting our Communist Uniforms delivered overnight tomorrow!

  138. “I want every obot to suffer for the next for years….”

They won’t, though. Obama can do whatever he wnats and they’ll stand there clapping happily pointing to his penis. He’s already crossed 43 unacceptable lines and they just don’t give a damn.

  139. I wonder how Afrocity is doing.

  140. Oh, he’s already whining and playing victim and he won the White House. A man with a chip that will be carried for 4 years.

And where’s Joe Biden – BO can’t share the spotlight? Never seen a victory without the full ticket before.

For all the phony righteousness tonight – this man won ugly and awful, gleefully stepping on any women who got in the way.

Don’t thank yourself too much, America. There was no integrity in this victory. It only showed that America can be seduced and bought.

  141. RD (loud painful wail…)

    It is like Berlin 1933!

I will never speak to my friends again!

Maybe Donnie McCulrkin will run the department of repairative therapy?

  142. She said she took a sleeping pill I think Brit.

  143. Did anyone smell the foul when B0′s cousin Dick found it useful to “ebdorse” Mccain just a day or so ago? B0bots were ready with the retort: “the most toxic endorsement”. Did anyone believe Cheney didn’t know the effect of that?

  144. Ok call me crazy, but I am not convinced that McCain lost.
Four years ago I went to bed at midnight thinking Kerry won.
I woke up and Bush was president.
I am going to bed now, we’ll see what happens in the morning.

  145. Oh, something I just remembered from 2004 when Kerry conceded so soon:

A concession has ABSOLUTELY NO LEGAL STANDING WHATSOEVER.

So we’ll see what happens. :)

  146. Just imagine Rev. Wright or Farrakahn staying at the WH. The whole thing is just revolting.

  147. The people who will really be disappointed are not the far left, but the moderates like me who bought the rhetoric of unity and bipartisanship. Many of my conservative Christian friends voted for Obama conveniently overlooking all the things that he’s against that they’re for. The same on the left. Many people are projecting onto him a record and distinction that he doesn’t have. he’s been nothing but a radical and an unaccomplished thug thus far… I don’t expect any different in office

  148. I meant “endorse”

  149. You don’t hear shit. You ain’t getting my help. And I decide who my President is, and you’re not it.

  150. Maybe the international disaster Biden is talking about is a drone accidentally flying into the Kapital during the state of the union.

    I’m kidding.

  151. A friend who works night in Times Square says he’s hearing riots in Times Square. It’s a brave new world! I’m off to bed. Nighty night all!

We survived Bush, we’ll survive Obama!

  152. Where’s Rd? I need a hug.

  153. Maris
Neither am I. But I learned to see that this bulldozer cannot be stopped.

  154. hope this cheers you guys up

Black Man Given Nation’s Worst Job

WASHINGTON—African-American man Barack Obama, 47, was given the least-desirable job in the entire country Tuesday when he was elected president of the United States of America. In his new high-stress, low-reward position, Obama will be charged with such tasks as completely overhauling the nation’s broken-down economy, repairing the crumbling infrastructure, and generally having to please more than 300 million Americans and cater to their every whim on a daily basis. As part of his duties, the black man will have to spend four to eight years cleaning up the messes other people left behind. The job comes with such intense scrutiny and so certain a guarantee of failure that only one other person even bothered applying for it. Said scholar and activist Mark L. Denton, “It just goes to show you that, in this country, a black man still can’t catch a break.”

  155. OMG — I just got in a big fight with my mother — she called me up & I said how BO stole OH this was the same sham as Bush in 2000 & she stared her whole “now, lets listen to him he is our new president” blah blah blah because she actually thinks they are listening to our phones right now & they will come & take me to gitmo right now. I told her that this wasn’t a facist country yet & I could say whatever I wanted . . . it just escalated from there! LMAO.

  156. Okay, thanks Seriously.

I want a protest/support women bracelet. Orange would be good.

  157. I never, ever thought the Presidency of this country could be bought. I was wrong.

I thought the American People were smarter. I was wrong.

I wouldn’t be so down if I didn’t care so much.

  158. I can now see how Good Germans must have felt when Hitler took over in 1933. The Brownshirts stormed the capital just as the Obots storm the WH.

And yes, it will not surprise me to see Farrakhan or Wright swear the bastard in.

  159. In all seriousness, my hope rests now on Biden’s shoulders that he will reign in this idiot and keep him from being too damaging

  160. Carol,

Now that he has won, the money can be investigated. If he had lost it would go down the memory hole. We do really need to continue to try to get to the truth behind Obama.

  161. Well guys this is a sad day. But we have to breath and reboot. And move forward.

I think Obama will be a bad president and then people will see what they have done. Unfortunately, people like you and I have to pay for his presidency, just like we had to pay for Bush.

  162. angienc – I had a fight with my son. I told him I hated him for voting for the fucker today!

  163. Pat,

The Germans gave in to socialism after years of a bad economy. They voted in a charismatic egomaniac who would then go on to establish an organization of young followers so devoted to him, they would turn on their own parents if they did not support their leader.

    Sound familiar?

  164. It is a historic election alright — after 8 years of Bush it took the Dem $700 million, a fraudulent media & stealing votes in OH to win. Pretty historical, I say.
Now, lets sit back and enjoy the impeachment.

  165. angienc, you’re lucky to have somewhere abroad to which you can flee. And, no, they aren’t listening to your phone (yet), just intercepting all your internet activity…

  166. I want to sing something from Evita….I am desolate

  167. Well that was a dud.

  168. All of you people feeling good about what Hillary and Bill did to us tonight???????

  169. I am placing an asterisk after his name anytime it comes up. It worked with Barry Bonds who lied and cheated his way into the Hall of Fame so I figure it can work with one who did the same to get into the WH.

    President Barack Obama*

  170. Sal – thanks for the only smile I’ve managed in eight hours!

I said to my disappointed life-long, Democrat Mom who voted Republican for the first time in her 80 years, that we can rest in the fact that Zero will inherit such a mess with the economy that he will go down in history as one of the worst Presidents we’ve ever had.

  171. Bostonboomer
Investigated by whom? Which branch of the government exactly?

  172. “Many people are projecting onto him a record and distinction that he doesn’t have.”

You’re right, but this whole thing has gone so far over the top now that most of his supporters are going to have to keep on supporting him no matter what. They’ll just continue projecting, pretending he’s not doing what he is doing or pretending he’s doing something that he’s not. They’ll go into defensive mode and keep pretending, because admitting thsi entire thing was one great big mass delusion will be too hard after all of this nonsense, imo.

  173. Actually, that was a lame speech considering he’s such a great orator and this was “the moment.”

  174. I think it’s really questionable at this point whether we can trust the election system in this country at all. We knew there were serious problems after 2000 and 2004. Now the Republicans can see it too. The fraud we have already seen is mind-boggling. Truly, if we don’t want to become a very large Cuba, we need to figure out how to fight it.

  175. Carol: Not me. But I am holding back.

  176. I feel like the biggest loser — Prop 8 in CA is losing — I can’t stand to look at barry and shelly (michelle) for the next 4 years —- please someone shoot me now

  177. Ana — you’re right. I bet anyone right here right now $10k (I can’t go higher then that, but I do have $10k, so this is a real offer) that one year from now (if not sooner) you will not be able to find one person who admits s/he voted for Obama.

  178. Carol
Something specific I don’t know about, or the general betrayal?

  179. Carol,

Caereful what you say to your son

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler_Youth

    /end sarcasm

  180. SimoFish — you are not the biggest loser — those Obots who voted for Obama & against Prop. 8 don’t even realize they voted for the guy who didn’t want Prop. 8 to pass.

  181. I’m reminded of the John Lennon song, “The Dream Is Over”, and reciting the things he didn’t believe in anymore, like “I don’t believe in the Beatles”.

I could add: the DNC, the Democratic Party, Democracy in America, one person = one vote, and I’m not so sure about Jesus (the real one, never Barry) or Hillary…

John ended the litany with: “I just believe in me – Yoko and me.”

I’d end with: “I just believe in me – PUMAs and me.”

  182. Carol, Hillary and Bill’s careers are over, what do you want from them?

  183. We need to establish an agenda. Then we need to figure out how best to get it accomplished. Furthermore, since this will be an uphill fight we need to determine who we want to take out in 2010.

  184. Edge,

We are on our own. We the people. We can’t trust our government. I don’t know how we’ll fight it, but we either have to do it or live in tyranny. Personally I’d rather die fighting for freedom.

  185. Anybody here ever heard of Tancredo Neves? Brazil, 1985. Google it.

  186. SimoFish: I would but I loaned my gun to an Obot tonight so he could have a little fun.

  187. We chose to take the red pill…nobody said it would be fun and God knows it hasn’t been. I still wouldn’t choose the blue pill though.

    Mountain Sage

  188. Carol,

I think that Hillary’s speech and campaigning for BHO was more effective than we thought. We stupidly assumed that people would be informed. They weren’t.

  189. Something extremely creepy happened to me – half of my house had no power for about 15 minutes, not it’s back on again.

I guess he started bankrupting the coal industry already!!

  190. I hope the secret service shoots every one of those fuckers dead and I hope bush declares martial law so I can point out every obot I know….so they can be carried off and shot to!

sorry I am feeling powerless and angry…RD (louder and more painful moan)

this reminds me of the Isabel Allenende book about her Daughter called “Paula” I recommend it to everyone tonight!

  191. Well goodnight everyone. This is obviously a sad day. Let’s just see what happens and what we can do moving forward.

  192. Simo

A person’s measure is taken not during the high points but during the low ones. Surely you knew we had a ways to go?

  193. i’ve got a bunch of disenfranchised conservatives. you’ve got a bunch of disenfranchised liberals.

where to do go from here to keep the criminals in check while we figure out how to get our country back?

  194. bostonboomer
I know we’re on our own ever since I woke up in 2000 – the first election theft. No real leader ever emerged since. No power on our side. Ever.

  195. angienc — when do we leave for Greece?

Where else can I go? I think I should cash out of CA and move to another country and live.

  196. How about the Truth – that would be refreshing!

  197. Hey, I’ve got an idea to cheer us up. Let’s predict what the O’s approval rating will be 1 year from now.

    I say 47%.

  198. Well PUMAS we fought the good fight and I have no regrets about my vote.

For tonight I have Xanax, and the blue ones.

  199. angienc, that is a suckers bet. No one will take you up on it.

  200. Carol – Just read your post about Bill and Hillary. See mine about the song, “The Dream Is Over”. We can rationalize, but guess it would be good to hear true facts, which Big Dawg said, “would all come out after the General Election”.

Will it, now that Barry has one.

(Damned! I even took a Melatonin to help get to sleep. Need to communicate with someone, and you folks are my pillow of comfort tonight.

  201. Actually, that was a lame speech considering he’s such a great orator and this was “the moment.”

He already failed the first high expectation as president-elect. The production is worthy of Hollywood, though. Ah, so this is what $700 million can do.

  202. Sal, lets hope not….
It does feel like deja vu though.

  203. Correct question: Will the truth the Clintons know come out now that Barry has won?

    (too tired to spell straight)

  204. Clyde,

We go rogue “independant” and then we take our country back piece by piece. It’s time we all sat down and had a talk and did some compromising. I am now ready to talk about a national ID. I do want the government to pay for these ID s though.

  205. what we as upset and disaffected democrats need to do, is hook up with the very upset republican party (conservatives) and try to see how we can work for a common goal.

  206. Riverdaughter went to NYC to hang with Harriet and Sherri and madamab and other pumas. I don’t know if we will hear from her or not. She probably has to work tomorrow.

  207. I’ll go to bed praying for the misguided drone on the night of the State of the Union, unless it could make it to Chicago.

  208. Sal–how can people be informed when the media won’t do their jobs? Blame the media. It’s unreasonable to ask people who are working three jobs to chase down information on their own.

  209. I cannot sleep but am totally exausted SM77 what happened to prop two did it get 60%?

  210. Truth took a powder along about the time objectivity and character went missing. For all those who bleated on behalf of this thug and his goons, it will be a long, long time before I forget. You knew what we suspected yet you shamelessly offered your services to hump him over the line.

Whatever is waiting to be said come January will be a hatful of too little, too late. Hypocrisy reigns supreme.

  211. Overworked Americans don’t have tome to think.

  212. Ana

I am up for that but they need to be willing to make concessions too. No more calling Birth control pills abortifactants.

  213. In The People against The Machine, the people lost. But I can honestly say that throughout this whole election season, I did what I could.

  214. I just tried to watch MessNBO. I never realized what a pathetic political analyst Keith Olberaman was.

  215. Wonder if Hillary will wake up tomorrow with a Koolaid hangover. I’ve tried so hard to keep her as my hero, but how could she have let us down like this? Where is her integrity? I apologize to those who still support her, but I’m bitter and disappointed. Maybe she knows what she’s doing, maybe she doesn’t care to be President, maybe she made a deal with Zero. Who knows, but it wasn’t a deal with us!

  216. Seriously,

Good point. I hope we learn to never trust the media to do a proper job again.

  217. Sal: That Onion piece is good satire, but OTOH, they’re already excusing him for his future failure. Again.

  218. Okay, well, I think I’m over it! I feel happy now! Tomorrow is a new day and we need to get over this and try to fix the Democratic Party and the mainstream media. Those are my next goals. Don’t feel down. A woman will be in the White House in most of our lifetimes. Get a good night’s rest and we’ll be back here tomorrow.

All of this seemed anti-climatic to me. I didn’t watch McCain or Obama’s speech. I don’t really care.

  219. Where you been then MAblue? ;)

  220. I just don’t understand people who vote for Obama and no on Prop 8. I mean, how does that compute??

  221. NEW POST – and a video to how I feel.

  222. We fought the good fight and tomorrow, we fight again.

I’m not sad or depressed, I’m just pissed that the media owns America and can tell “us” what to do and who to elect.

I think I will get back to painting and cleaning junk out. I’ve been neglecting things for months.

  223. Disenfranchised Voter

The dem party we knew is GONE. Accept it. It’s timne to think positions instead of party.

  224. I’m dreading seeing the throngs of Obamazoids who are my coworkers and neighbors.

  225. Oh and with prop 8…see look LGBT BO won and this supporters didn’t give 2 shits about you…..and your right to human dignity so guess what bend over LGBT community you are about to get up the bum wit a sandpaper condom without lube!

  226. Liberty Belle
Nope. Now we’ll never will. Unless in some postumous manuscript, many years from now when most of the actors are dead and burried

  227. My Obot husband’s oh-well-too-bad attitude towards gays just invalidated my friend/former boss’ marriage. Fucktard.

  228. Remember, we are survivors. Many of us lived through 12 years of Reagan-Bush and experienced the jubilation of Governor Clinton unseating a Republican incumbent president. The Democrats that we were back then came up with a new way to stop the disaster that was Reagan-Bush. Because Joe Biden assisted Bush 41 in installing Clarence Thomas in the Supreme Court, the SCOTUS was able to foist Bush 43 on us unfairly and illegally.

Right now we are looking at another 12 years of Bushiness as BO is his Democratic counterpart. I believe, in 2012, we will have a candidate who will unseat him and, while I would like it to be Senator Clinton, if she is unwilling which is entirely her right to be, I’ll vote (again) for Governor Palin. We have some time to figure out a way to defeat the corruption that has, once again, been foisted upon this country, about two years unless a scandal shortens our window. I’m willing to work as a PUMA to do so but I am unsure if I will work as a Democrat.

I am looking forward, however, to working with all of you since you have become my touchstone to sanity and reality this election cycle. I will begin sifting through everything I have learned, good and bad, and will become a stronger PUMA for it. I briefly toyed with leaving politics but we are needed now more than ever. Thank you all for being here. Words cannot express how many of you substituted for family and friends who fail to understand what has happened, how much we have lost and the effort it will take to regain our country’s dignity, integrity and credibility.

  229. I would go to sleep – except outside they are screaming like the day the Yankees won the World Series. About as shallow.

  230. Pat J — I EFFING LOVE YOU!!! You always say the right thing to make me laugh!!

  231. There are two people to blame for this. The first is George W. Bush for the obvious reasons. The second is Hillary Clinton. 82% of her supporters voted for Obama. She could have stopped this. She didn’t.

  232. If I am going to work with dissafected republicans then no more demonizing the LGBT community! that is non-negotiable with me! No more abonination against god no more using us as a wedge….oh and how about respecting the difference between civil and religious marriage!

  233. Laken4
Interesting in tying Biden into this history. I had a similar feeling about him too.

  234. Did anyone else notice, when Obama was listing all the people the country was about, black and white, gay and straight, etc, etc., if he left out women? As I recall, more women voted for Obama in the primaries than for Kerry.

I think we’re on our own.

  235. Carol, that’s your truth, not necessarily HRC’s truth. It’s just possible that she thinks any Democrat is better than any Republican. I understand why a lot of Democrats felt they had to support BO, despite him being far from their ideal candidate. I don’t agree, but I understand their thought processes. I don’t think she would have knowingly done everything she could to destroy any prospects for her own future politcal career if she didn’t think she was doing the right thing, though I could be wrong.

  236. I was a lot more depressed after Kerry went down. This time I have no more illusions. It doesn’t really matter which party wins. They are both corrupt. I’m glad to know the outcome, so I can move on from the suspense of waiting to figuring out what to do next. I’m not a quitter, and I’m not giving up now. If Obama has any potential to do good, I’ll try to hold his feet to the fire. If he’s as corrupt and authoritarian as I think he is, I’ll joint with disaffected Republicans to try and bring him down.

I’m definitely going to change my voter registration to Independent ASAP.

  237. Damn, Big Dawg will not be forthright with us now. It’s like this has all been pre-ordained by some evil character in a big production by Speilberg(sp).

Let’s see, what has changed since this morning……. BZero is still a cipher but supposedly now, as with the Dem convention, he is “selected” once again. Ah, votes have not all been counted, but that is just not an important detail, once again.

I will not subject myself to listening to his speech, but, I did peek – if you liked MO’s attire previously, you are going to love this garment. I think BZero should just go by his initial now – O – tis fitting for him.

I think the mob of -O- supporters swarming the WH is nice touch to this act of this portion of the production. What a bargain for only 700 million. But I can’t help thinking the money could have really been a help to those in need and what comfort it could have provided. No wonder so many of us trust and love our animals more that our fellow man. Certainly is showing where priorities are. Doesn’t it seem quaint that Bill Clinton has been doing all that charity work in Africa and other improvished nations when others in his own political party deem the quest for power demands more, much much more. It isn’t just America that lost tonight. Sorry to ramble – I’ve been quiet til now. And to think that Bu$hite has started a tend – America now has Kings instead of elected officials. Can’t wait to see what the foreign press makes of this.

  238. 8 Y Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry 1,682,717 54.5% 1,407,141

Simonfish is right the darn thing is passing, but they voted Obama??? Progressive…needs to be redefined. THIS IS NOT PROGRESSIVE!

  239. Dave, are you saying Hillary should change parties? That’s just nuts.

Of course she supported her party’s nominee, and of course she will run again in 2012 as a Democrat.

  240. Thanks folks for answering the $64,000 question. You have said you’ll work on 2012 other than live with it. So now we wait to see if America succeeds or fails under President Obama. If it fails, it’s an “I told you so” moment. If he succeeds, then even though you hate it you have to admit he did a good job.

  241. “I’m dreading seeing the throngs of Obamazoids who are my coworkers and neighbors.”

It’s so damn easy to get under their skin. I was making fun of BO’s speech, and instead f just laughing and gloating, my Obot father got all upset and started yelling. lol I left happy, he was all upset.

  242. This is the all time low of my voting life. I think it’s because, in the past, everyone I knew was voting as I did — for Kerry, Gore and the other Dems I’ve voted for. But this time it’s only other PUMAs (thank G-d for PUMAs) who I’m in synch with.

  243. Nijma
No, i didn’t notice, as I didn’t watch – but it makes sense. Obama Girl can screw herself.
    Bostonboomer
I share the feeling. I allowed myself some hope for some balance. My guy said he may be happy maybe for 5 minutes if Mc wins for the machine being foiled. I said I’d be happy maybe 10 minutes.
It’s really all I missed. Those 1o minutes. No candidate for me, remember? probably, none ever, considering Hillary’s playing us like she did.

  244. Nijma, on November 5th, 2008 at 12:37 am Said:

Dave, are you saying Hillary should change parties? That’s just nuts.

Of course she supported her party’s nominee, and of course she will run again in 2012 as a Democrat.
    ***

She isn’t running in 2012…Obama and some special choice of his will.
ITS HIS PARTY, ITS LOCATED IN CHICAGO!

  245. Blog Talk… the same big money donors that supported BUSH are supporting Obama!?????????

  246. Willie Nelson’s song, “Turn out the lights, The Party’s over” comes to mind.

  247. What Suddenly : truth is not democratic. The majority can me wrong and one single voice can be right. Whatever our numbers – doesn’t make us any less right. In fact I remember in 2001 being a “ten percenter” when 90% were “behind Bush”. I stayed put and found myself in the majority again. I expect this to happen again in the not so distant future.

  248. I’m saying that Hillary should have done a Ted Kennedy (1980), not endorsed Obama and gone on vacation–or preferably endorsed McCain as Lieberman did. She should have put the country before the Democratic party. Her presidential aspirations are over now.

  249. Prop 8 is passing in the blue blue state of CA — it is really is nuts. Our new party needs to be the party of equality for all — unlike the pseudo-progressive obamacrat party –

  250. Edge — I think we’re right, alright. It’s just that the intolerance of the cultists is impossible for me to stand up to. I think that they will be even harder to deal with now that they’ve “won.”

  251. Yes, go upstairs and chat…new thread.

  252. I am looking at the vote figures for Nevada. All across the state we have many who voted for President and ignored down-ticket Dems. I will have more at my blog later in the week, but I am furious that Obama had no coattails for my CD.

  253. “I’m glad to know the outcome, so I can move on from the suspense of waiting to figuring out what to do next. I’m not a quitter, and I’m not giving up now.”

BB I have to agree. I was more depressed when Kerry lost. Not that I even liked Kerry, I really thought he was a pompous boob. Just that I knew we were in for another 4 years of Bush.

I feel so bad for McCain. He was screwed in 2000 by Bush and he’s been screwed again by Bush and Bush Lite. And how many years will we have to wait to have another woman on either ticket?? I am 52 and I am starting to wonder if I’ll ever see a woman President in my lifetime.

  254. kjmontana: “I am 52 and I am starting to wonder if I’ll ever see a woman President in my lifetime.”

I’m 57 and have just about given up. We had not one but two very capable candidates, and they were both totally screwed. HRC should stand out as a huge disappointment, however, for feeding the hand that bit her.

  255. I took a shower and it was magnificent.

  256. All I can say is, I hope the Republicans block EACH AND EVERY BILL that the crooked dems try to pass. I want the ‘American’s ‘ who voted for this lying crook democrat ‘president’ to start bad-mouthing, attacking and blaming HIM (Obama) for all the bad things that are – as Biden predicted – coming our way. Enjoy YOUR new ‘president’ sheep!

  257. Geez, I wonder what Rev. Wright will be preaching in his church now?? The Theology Of Victimhood has suddenly become so . . . passe’

  258. Prop 8 in California is winning, while Obama wins here by 10%. Doesn’t make any sense does it? In fact, it does. Obama never actively campaigned against prop 8. The DNC promised a half million to anti-8 and gave only 25K. Then Obama said, that to him, marriage is only between a man and a woman, because “that’s when God is in the mix.”

Obama said that my marriage (unfortunately we didn’t get legal, thinking no way could this ugly amendment pass) is unholy, not sacred, devoid of God’s presence. Think that carries any weight? It does! And especially with the black community who favor Prop 8. Thanks for nothing, Obama.

I’m almost physically ill tonight about the presidency, and Prop 8 just makes it even more depressing (and personal). I know how significant it is for blacks to see this candidate win. It’s powerful. Unfortunately, there’s no joy there for me because of the fraud, deceit, cheating, race-baiting, and misogyny that got us to this falsely “shining” moment.

I haven’t posted much, but I give my deep gratitude and sincere respect to all of you here. This place was an island (one of only a few) of truth seeking, plain talk, hope, integrity, friendship, humor, and love of country through this whole election for me.

    Blessings to you all.

Think of it this way: we didn’t REALLY have candidate this time around. McCain was just a little ledge to hang on above the abyss.
Since June , we really lost very little – and gained a lot. Each other.

Absolutely true. Gaining each other, on this and several other sites, is a game changer.

And sometimes it takes one’s enemies coming out into the open to remind one of one’s core beliefs. This is such a time for us types, I think.

    No!
    Stop and think!
Do you really want a cigarette? Well then you will have one, but why not postpone it? If you can pospone it for even 5 minutes you might feel differently and the feeling will go away.

Perhaps you have carrots in your fridge? Time to smoke a carrot. Put the carrot in your mouth, imagine you are Fidel, and say “Viva la revolución”.

    Woman Voter:

But Obama as the incumbent in 2012–a lot can happen in 4 years, but it does seem likely, unless Obama takes the fall for the disastrous economic times that are ahead.

  261. Shoot, *I* want a cigarette and I haven’t smoked since New Year’s Eve 1972.

  262. “It’s difficult to comprehend how insane some people can be. Especially when you’re insane. ”

Describes you people perfectly. Go off and be repugnantcons if you want. Sounds to me like most of you already are!

Take your toys and go home. Maybe mom will make you a PB&J so you feel better.

It would be so much more constructive if you would form a third party. Maybe then you’d build someone up instead of vindictively tearing everyone else down. No one likes a spoilsport.

  263. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE LOSERS ON THIS SITE FOR FAILING SPECTACULARLY TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE ELECTION.

    18 MILLION STRONG?

    NOPE.

    18 MILLION WRONG!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

NOW YOU GUYS CAN SHRIVEL INTO NOTHINGNESS, LIKE HARRIET CHRISTIAN’S SAGGY TITS.

  264. One thing that really strikes me is… the number of bitter Obots that are still bashing us on our own blogs.

    What is with that?

I thought the “winners” were supposed to be happy.

Honestly, I think they know they’ve been had… and don’t want to admit it.
