I voted in the Democratic run-off yesterday in Louisiana. I did something that I haven’t done for a long time. I went down the list of candidates for judgeships and the various other races and voted for all the women. Something tells me I wasn’t alone in this when I heard second congressional district candidate Helena Moreno’s speech after she placed second after $Bill Jefferson and ahead of five well known black male politicians vying for the position. She had a lot of cross-over vote here in a city where the politics of race is pervasive. She’s a latina and has been frequently labelled as “that little white girl” in the race. Her cross-over vote came from black women. This year may yet be known as the REAL year of the woman when a female awakening turns the tide against misogyny and sexism.
Our mantra could be something to the effect of “We’re bitter, we vote, get out of office!”
Helena Moreno has been in New Orleans about 8 years. She quit her job as a news anchor in March to run for office. As a journalist, she was frequently out on the beat looking for corruption and places where things don’t quite work for people. Since this is New Orleans, Moreno never ran out of material. Moreno also lived through Hurricane Katrina and learned its lessons well.
While she does have great name recognition and quite a presence, she is considered the underdog in this race because of the politics of racial identity. That is unless the politics of being a woman in what has arguably been a brutal year for women creates a NO NO sisterhood. That is what I want to see: a movement where all women stand up together and say “NO, he didn’t!” I hope this year we just don’t wag our fingers and speak our indignation then vote for folks who promise to be marginally less worse on the issues we care about. In the No NO Sisterhood, we vote our interests and write checks to support women’s campaigns to ensure our voices are heard and acted on. I’m thinking we should adopt that old women’s fist raised in the symbol of woman with a slight change. The middle finger should be raised to the media and politicians who practice the politics of beating up on women.
During the primary, Moreno had a number of typical dirty tricks pulled on her–including the usual things like hiring Robo phone calls that say you’re from her campaign at all hours and times of day to harass folks and turn them off. She also became the victim of a whisper campaign that went more public. During a televised debate an exchange between Moreno and State Rep. Cedric Richmond turned into a shouting match. Richmond is currently fighting against a suspension of his law license for using a nonprimary residence to run for a city council seat. This exchange happened shortly after Moreno called him out on the pending case. Here’s the script as reported by the Times Picayune.
“Would everyone up here, Miss Moreno specifically, would you be willing to submit to a random drug test?” Richmond asked, noting that many job applicants face such screening…The nasty confrontation ended with Moreno, stung by what she called Richmond’s outrageous “suggestion” that she uses drugs, marching out of WDSU-TV’s downtown New Orleans’ studios and into a nearby clinic, where she voluntarily submitted to a drug test. She quickly delivered the results — a clean reading — to The Times-Picayune.
There’s been a lot of interesting coverage of this race, and as Ms. Moreno takes on $Bill Jefferson, it is bound to get a whole lot more interesting. That is why I am asking you to not only follow what happens, but to help Helena. She’s running in New Orleans and in Louisiana. Politics down here are not only interesting, but can be very brutal.
Here’s her website: Moreno for Congress
Please join me at the NO NO Sisterhood at Act Blue to support Helena Moreno and other fine women candidates.
I think this year has taught us that we cannot rely on many of the current members of the DNC to protect our interests. We need to send some more women to congress, now.
Reminder: Sheri Tag is on No We Won’t tonight with her usual call in program at 8 pm est! Here’s the link!

Vote for the Woman. It’s Important
I did the same thing during the Dem. primary here in DC — obviously I voted for Hillary, but as I went down the long list of the other races, I voted for the woman — Bev. Purdue (gov), Kay Hagan (senator), etc.
I’ll do it again in November. I don’t care if there is an “R” or “D” after their names. If they are female, they have my vote.
Good for you, dakinikat!!
I hope we all agree that Sebelius and Claire will be voted out asap.
How can people like Stephens and Jefferson continue to be voted for?
People must not pay attention.
The author of this post makes sense to me. I am thinking that voting for all women is the answer, and have been thinking that since Hillary was shafted.
madamab: i felt like we must’ve been on the same vibe some how … very sympatico …
I’m going to do some work now (boo hoo) but I’ll be back later — try not to miss me too much! (and if myiq comes around, tell him I’ll be drinking cranberry juice to get my kidneys in shape)
Carol: one of the talking heads last night said that black people are very forgiving and cited the Marion Barry thing as an example … I had some friends that were trying to get me to vote for him last time … some argued he’d been set up mostly likely and another one said, he’s always remembered my name when I meet him and since all polticians cheat, it’s only right he gets some too…
had me perplexed
In New York, almost all of the local female candidates are Democrat anyway. Could have been that way at the top of the ticket, too… sigh.
Since Nancy is not on my ballot, nor is Claire McCaskill, i think I can join this club.
HOORAY FOR HELENA MORENO!!!
I love the fact that she marched out the TV studio to get a blood test!
I wished I lived in Nawlins just to vote for her.
lol, yeah, i’m still trying to figure out what the deal is with Nancy …
Dakinikat: set-up my butt! That doesn’t explain the rest of the Jefferson “family” and the family business!
Moreno may have a better chance than expected. Look at the DA race. That surprised the hell out of me.
sm77: my mouth was wide open on that exchange …
I am beginning to believe that the 30% solution is the only way women will ever see any change in the status quo.
Dakini: What’s sad is that Emily’s list, Naral and NOW SHOULD’ve done thius type of work.
Now they are all a joke in my eyes. They don’t represent women. They represent money hungry orgs holding their hands out for Obama $$$.
From the New Orleans Gambit:
. Two years ago, after sensational FBI raids on his homes and offices and the discovery of $90,000 in marked bills in his freezer, Jefferson turned political wisdom on its ear by defeating state Rep. Karen Carter Peterson in the runoff….
Since his stunning re-election in 2006, Jefferson has suffered a string of political setbacks:
• Last November, his daughter, former state Rep. Jalila Jefferson, lost a bid for the state Senate seat that launched her father’s political career in 1979.
• His brother Mose and sister Betty Jefferson likewise face federal corruption charges for allegedly bilking government-fed nonprofits that the Jefferson family controls. Betty’s daughter, Angela Coleman, also is charged.
• Mose Jefferson faces separate federal bribery charges for allegedly paying off an Orleans Parish School Board member. Mose has been Bill Jefferson’s on-the-ground political muscle for years and is considered one of the best campaign operatives in the state. He is scheduled to stand trial in the bribery case in October — in the midst of his brother’s re-election campaign.
• The congressman’s youngest sibling, Brenda Jefferson, has admitted to misprision of a felony in the nonprofit skimming case and has agreed to cooperate with the feds.
• Last October, Jefferson’s hand-picked district attorney, Eddie Jordan, resigned in disgrace after losing a federal civil rights case that cost the taxpayers more than $3.5 million in judgments and interest — and after running the office into the ground through sheer incompetence. The office controls dozens of unclassified jobs (read: campaign “volunteers”) that are no longer beholden to Jefferson.
• Earlier this year, Jefferson lost his hold on the Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee, which controls oodles of campaign cash and marshals an army of volunteers in presidential election years. In the past, Jefferson tapped the committee’s resources to build and sustain his local political machine. Now, the committee is led by James Gray, his former law partner and the father of state Sen. Cheryl Gray, who defeated Jalila Jefferson last fall.
• His colleagues in Washington stripped him of his seat on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Loss of that seat undercuts Jefferson’s ability to raise campaign funds.
• Jefferson himself is scheduled to stand trial in northern Virginia on federal corruption charges on Dec. 2, exactly four weeks after the Nov. 4 general election for Congress.
Good on ya! I liked her voice over at her website. And I contributed $25 to her campaign. That’s only the second downticket dem I have contributed to this year, in contrast to 2004 when I dropped a bundle on a bunch of them. BTW, I was happy to see one I had contributed to in the past, Donna Edwards, standing beside Peter DeFazio (D.OR) at his press conference presenting an alternative to the bailout plan.
Fredster: You can see how ‘busy’ the Jefferson family has been !
thx, salmonrising … i think she’s worth the investment and New Orleans really needs some one who is effective and a fighter, from everything I can see, she is!
“lol, yeah, i’m still trying to figure out what the deal is with Nancy …”
Me too, dakinikat. I used to really like her, but now I’m kind of confused. She seems to have her heart in the right place on many issues, but is… too easily ‘persuaded’? So much promise, so little delivery. There’s probably some realpolitik behind the scenes.
Everyone – did you catch this?
Palin brought up the Obama-Ayers connection and the AP is trying to call her a r*cist for it. Her response:
“The heels are on, the gloves are off.”
LOVE HER!!!!
Emily’s list, Naral and the like have been big disappointments to me … they’ve turned into the same thing they tried NOT to be and to overcome
dakinikat–Nancy P?
She’s soooo progressive! Her PAC gets lots of Soros money so she could buy off
the supers who might be inclined to support Hillary since their districts/states went for her.
IMO, Pelosi has been elevated above her capabilities. I’ve heard she rules by fear? Obama would be her puppet, unschooled and very beholding.
Hillary would show her up for what she
is.
If Obama is indeed THE ONE, expect more rumblings about infrastructure rebuilding. Obama is reading from the same book. Nancy P. said that she travels the world (at our expense), people are asking about our infrastructure rebuilding? Oh?
Maybe those who are going to make lots of money who are connected with
these banks, which are probably multi-national.
If there is lots of unemployment, labor can be put to work on public spending projects, as during the 30s. Unfortunately, a lot of the skills have been lost.
I hope that the U.S. government doesn’t reward tax payers’ monies to Soros’ endeavors. Maybe we can have a third party–one that isn’t manipulated by Soros.
Thanks for posting that info Kat for the others here that aren’t from nola. That family has certainly been an enterprise, that’s for sure.
With Mose, Betty and Brenda facing time, if $$Bill loses, it could be a new, fresh start for nola politics once Ray-ray is gone.
did you see the bailout skit on snl… nancy ,barney, and soros? it was pretty funny
THIS

Yes, there are many latinos that have more of the European DNA mix in them (my family is a gamma of colors from the whitest to blackest & browns in between) but that does not mean she’s not connected to the issues that minorities face every day. She’s a woman AND Latina.
No matter what your ethnic background is, or political affiliation, we all know the struggles women face.
30% is the solution. No doubt.
fredster: the money is on that $bill wins again, then Ray-Ray will run for his seat when $bill has to resign …
i’m hoping that isn’t the case
About the article where they try to paint Palin’s comments as “r@cist” contact the AP, and ask them to retract the article and to issue an apology to Sarah Palin. Also ask them to fire Douglass K. Daniel immediately.
http://www.ap.org/pages/contact/contact.html
or call the AP 1-212-621-1500
The media couldn’t care less about their responsibility to the American people. We need to at least voice our disgust!
madamab: did you see this in the AP rebuttal?
“It’s a giant changing of the subject,” said Jenny Backus, a Democratic strategist. “The problem is the messenger. If you want to start throwing fire bombs, you don’t send out the fluffy bunny to do it. I think people don’t take Sarah Palin seriously.”
Time to bring out the Madeleine Albright quote again: There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.
That fluffy bunny can kick your a*s Jenny–bet on it. I am really lovin’ Palin’s spunk.
TM wrote 2 long articles today calling Palin and McCain the r word. She had 12 comments on one article and 37 comments on the other.
I guess her sponsers are probably ready to pull the plug. Oh, sorry, is that a r*cist thing to say?
CAROL HAKA
fluffy bunny? oh, that is just really really wrong to call a woman governor that …
Troll Mart must’ve actually drank the koolaide–here all the time I thought she was just a crass opportunist
Yea, I suppose those 20-30,000 people that showed up to hear her speak don’t take her seriously.
Carol, Thanks. I was going to go over there to just check on things. I don’t have to risk my sensibilities now.
I’ll never forget what a great community she had there during the primary. The mix of politics and blogging brings some major changes quickly.
Carol: that’s actually quite sad. Many of us here came from TM. The entire bitterpoliticz crowd, including Heidi Li, also fled from there. We had a great, intelligent, funny community, much like this blog. It started to get very negative and troll infested toward the end, and when she flipped overnight, I was gone. You see-that’s what happens when you sell out your principles. You stand for nothing. RD left on principle, and we all found her, because she is the real deal. Like attracts like, or water seeks it’s own level.
nobody with any integrity can turn off their allegiance that fast, I couldn’t believe how quickly TM switched to the party line
Fluffy Bunny my A$$! Oh hells yeah! Go git’em Sarah.
30% solution and a pitbull with lipstick leading the charge carrying a 12-gauge and wearing a moose pelt.
Oh HELLS Yeah! Women are on the move. Get the hell outta our way!
I just posted a reminder about Sheri’s program tonight on PUMA radio … the link’s up there too if you need it!
dakinikat, I remember her announcing that she would support Obama, if Hillary suspended. She was quite definite about not supporting McCain. She hasn’t looked back. The nastiness that followed surprised me. It seems to me that she lowered the standards for her blog too.
purplefinn: I can’t imagine she’s getting the same amount of traffic that she used to … there’s better places to drink the koolaide than there

Dakini: What’s sad is that Emily’s list, Naral and NOW SHOULD’ve done thius type of work.
Yes. I’ve been deeply disappointed in many so-called feminists and feminist organizations this year. Many of them did a hit job on Hillary Clinton. I can understand why liberal women might dislike Sarah Palin but I think there is a lot of unnecessary hatred there too. Disagree with her viewpoints but why haven’t these women orgs even acknowledge her achievement while calling out Obama for not even respecting us enough to choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate? I don’t know if I’ll ever be willing to donate or help out these women organizations again. To me they are completely useless when we really need them. All they can do is whine about Roe v. Wade while giving political blogjobs to male politicians who have used them then tossed them aside once they have their votes.
Every time I see a name from the “old” TM appear here, I am encouraged.
DakiniKat: That Jefferson guy was the same guy who was investigated by the FBI – right? He was the one that the FBI went into his office & found hundreds of thousands of dollars in a refrigerator or something like that.
Am I wrong? And if I’m not, I hope Helena KICKS HIS AZZ.
Disenfranchised: EXACTLY!!!!! Here we have the CANDIDATE that has a lifelong record defending women’s rights and they TOSS HER to the curb. I hate them. They are useless to me.

Yes, you’re correct.
I truly hope Hillary is living vicariously through Sarah right now as she unapologetically pummels him with his own sordid history and tells him to stick his race card where the sun don’t shine.
Sm77: that’s the guy …
I still can’t believe the democratic party let the media get away with all those horrible remarks about hillary … and they could’ve spoken to the Obama campaign behind close doors and told them to knock it off …
that really made the DNC the bad guy to me… even before the rules committee crap
Thanks. I’ll check her out and contribute.
Oh, another thing I forget Helena worked for Hillary when Hillary was first lady … she was an assistant for awhile as part of a program she attended while at university !!!
and thanks Thomas!!!
Dakinikat: Helena ROCKS!!!
Hope she wins. Seriously!

Any Argument Against Barack Obama Is By Definition Racist
http://www.patterico.com/2008/10/05/any-argument-against-barack-obama-is-by-definition-racist/
Did you know that it’s racist to argue that Barack Obama should not be President?
It’s true!
We know this, because we’re told that:
It’s racist to point out the connection between Barack Obama and a white man — who happens to be a terrorist.
It’s racist to point out the similarity between Barack Obama and two white women — who are famous for being celebrities.
It’s racist to point out the connection between Barack Obama and a black man — who happens to have run Fannie Mae.
It’s racist to point out the connection between Barack Obama and a black woman — who happens to be his wife, and who said she wasn’t really proud of America until her husband was nominated.
I’m sick of the race card being played whenever someone criticizes Barack Obama. Making the Ayers connection is hardly a racist ploy, but that’s what we’re being told by the AP today. There is literally no argument you can make against this man that will not be countered by cries of racism.
I will not vote for women who do not support other women. Thus, I will not be voting for Deb Perdue or Kay Hagan in NC because they both supported Obama BEFORE the primary. They made the decision that the AA vote was more important than the woman vote, so therefore, they will not get my vote.
“Fluffy Bunny?” Oh no she didn’t. That is utterly unacceptable. If ever I was waivering about my McCain/Palin vote (which I wasn’t) I’m sure now. Only wish I could vote for them twice.
And I love, love, love Palin’s “the high heels are on and the gloves are off” — my saying whenever I’m getting ready to go into battle (especially with someone who has really p!ssed me off) I always say “I’m putting on my reddest lipstick & my highest heels & I’m going to give them hell.” Palin sounds like a woman after my own heart.
you’d think that race card would be wearing out by now, wouldn’t you?
Palin is the Erin Brockovitch of the Republican Party.
In fact, that is my NEW motto for this election:
PUMA’s put on your reddest lipstick & your highest heels & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
Erin Brockovitch endorsed palin and who is that guy she’s running with?
CarolinaNorth, What bothers me the most is not that some feminists and female politicians did not endorse Hillary as a woman. It is clear to me that Hillary was a far superior candidate than Obama, more experienced, more dedicated to women’s rights and progressive values. What the hell does a woman need to do to prove that she does deserve the support of her women colleagues? If it was Obama with a longer service working for women’s rights and more experience than a female opponent, I would have no problem with women endorsing a man over a woman. Everything isn’t about race and gender for me. I support people who work for me. Obama managed to gain the support of Caroline Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Deb Perdue, Kay Hagan, Claire Mccaskill among many other traitors without even lifting a finger to prove that he was working in our interests. Hell, even male politicians shouldn’t have supported him. Look at how Obama he has changed his positions on FISA, public financing, protecting privacy rights including gay and women’s rights. This man is a fraud, plain and simple. Any man or woman who thought supporting someone simply because he’s AA or “cool” or represents “change” over a competent woman with the ideas and know-how to solve our current crisis is a dumbass. There is just no excuse regardless of r*ace and gender to support Obama.
dakinikat — yep, Erin Brockovitch endorsed Palin & she’s been getting hell from it on her website, but I’m not worried about her — I think she can handle herself.
Put on your reddest lipstick & highest heels & vote for the Woman — It’s Important.
Carolilna North – right there with yoy I won’t vote for Bev for Governor or Hagan for senate. I will leave the senate race blank because I can’t vote for Dole either.
As for my congressman David Price – I won’t vote for him either as he was very involved in the DNC primary corruption. I was invited to a private reception for David this afternoon but skipped it. I have donated to him for years and years (until this year) and usually attend these functions but was afraid I would embarass myself today. He is pond scum.
I will vote for McCain/Palin. Hope my hand doesn’t turn black and drop off from the shock of voting Repub.
If I remember my espanol correctly (and I believe I do), Moreno means Brown…..so she indeed could be my sistah!
Carolina North – Sorry, I didn’t mean to give you a new name.
Are you in David’s district?
Sharon – Brown, Brunette, dark, yes you are right!
Erin Brockovitch endorsed Palin????
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dee, I’m in his district. I loathe him…he’s responsible for the whole priamary fiasco. I think you guys are being harsh about bev and kay. their support for obama was always very tepid, and neither were superdelegates, so they didn’t have anything to do with the convention theft. I will vote for both of them.
I’ve kinda decided to vote for Mary landrieu, even if she didn’t come out and support hillary right from the start … i knew she’d get hammered down here if she did
at least Landrieu stayed neutral to the very end
Fluffy bunny? Monty Python knew the truth about fluffy bunnies!
“That rabbit’s got a vicious streak a mile wide! I’m telling you!”
“What’s she do, nibble your bum?”
comparing either of them to claire or pelosi at least is a bit much….neither has ever said anything nasty about clinton or her voters.
i guess we’ll see who will pay for what when a few folks come up for re-election
Brockovich isn’t endorsing Palin per se, but does admire her. From her blog:
“At no point in the September 8th blog did I say I endorse Palin. I said she is a strong women [sic]. What is wrong with that? Nothing”.
She also respects and admires Hillary.
ugsome: that will teach me to quote anything from the MSM and take it seriously
sorry gary but they both endorsed early. As you said, they were not SDs. Therefore, their early endorsement was even more offensive.
As you know – There is a special place in hell for women who sh*t on other women.
dee, that’s cool. I totally think everyone has their line. mawm is voting straight repub…
dee, are you going to see palin in greenville on tuesday? I want to go but don’t know if i’m going to be able to get out of work.
gary: he’s gotten down with the log cabin boys?
gary – I will if you or mawm go with me. I just don’t want to go by myself. I am afraid I might fall sick among all those Republicans.
dakinikat…I don’t think so…just thinks that the dems need to have their asseskicked this year…all of them.
dee..lol…
well, if you all see John Edwards … kick his a$$ for me and thwap him on the forehead and say: We could had HILLARY!
then mention keeping your d*ck in your pants while your wife is dying with cancer is the RIGHT THING TO DO!
just a suggestion
I must admit that I am with Mawm this year. In the future the Dems can prove that they are worthy of my vote, this year they are all in the doghouse.
gary – you have my cell phone number. call me if you decide to go.
angienc,
Your motto is excellent!
Glad to see a fellow Hillary Clinton supporter willing to stand up and fight for what is right!
Country First, always!
dee, ok, I will, but I’ll be at work in raleigh…I got to see if I can sneak aaway
gary – do you know what time the event is?
ugsome — well, truth be told I heard about Brockovitch’s “endorsement” on E! News — I know, consider the source, but nonetheless, even if it wasn’t an “endorsement” per se, the story was all about how bloggers were trashing her & the Hollywood “elite” set that “loved” her were now giving her the cold shoulder. I believe that part.
Put on your reddest lipstick & your highest heels & vote for the Woman, It’s Important
Dee,
Road to Victory Rally: Tuesday October 7th in Greenville, NC
When: October 7, 2008 4:00 p.m.
Where: Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum: East Carolina University
1 Ficklen Drive
Greenville, NC 27834
I didn’t know about Kay Hagan endorsing BO early — I knew about Bev. Purdue. Oh well, I might be doing straight Republican this year too.
Besides, I know someone who works for Pat McCrory — and I am originally from NOLA (where you always vote for someone who is even tangentially related to someone you know) so I will not mind voting for him. If he wins, I may be able to cash in some favors (or at least get tickets fixed hee, hee).
Put on your reddest lipstick & your highest heels & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
Don’t forget the PANTSUIT with reddest lipstick and highest heels to vote for the woman!
Here’s link for more info. on the Victory Rally on tuesday in NC:

Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
and that is exactly what I am going to do on Nov. 4.
Fluffy bunny? Monty Python knew the truth about fluffy bunnies!
ugsome: Fantastic!!
Run away! Run away!
Always one of my favorite Python scenes, but perfectly appropriate here.
didn’t Jimmy Carter have a problem with an attack rabbit?

Wellll, D’kat, if we were still living in NOLA, I’d have about, oh, 25 Moreno signs plastered all over our front yard (about one per front foot), the better to drive Freezer Bill’s daughter and her husband nuts next door. The damage that one family has inflicted on New Orleans is incalculable. Here’s hoping Moreno can win the day with the help of black female crossover votes. One thing that used to make me bonkers in NOLA was knowing full well that politicians from the Jefferson mold were profiting on the backs of the poorest of the black poor, all the while pointing the finger at whites as the enemy. Meanwhile, large parts of the city were just plain going to hell. Aaarrgggh.
As for Palin saying, “The heels are on, the gloves are off” – good for her!!! Always did like a woman with guts. That one should become a classic.
kat5: yeah, the jeffersons and their antics never cease to amaze or is that appall
TM did declare she was a Democrat first. I don’t fault her for remaining a Democrat. I fault her for spreading lies and inuendo regarding the Republicans. I also believe that a person that backs someone like Obama after all of his disgusting behavior over the course of his life and his campaign, then there is a real problem…………………
CAROL HAKA
the trick they used to pull that I couldn’t believe was getting all that money in to charities and then doin all that skimming, although I guess some of them are going to jail for that now
Did everyone watch the 60 minutes report on how Bush attempted to find Bin Laden? One of the Delta force men that was involved in the early years came out to inform us as he didn’t like what was being said about the attempts to get him (aka, Obama). He also says he is probably in Pakistan.

Ironman – thanks for the info. I didn’t realize McCain has an office in Durham. I will run by there – maybe they will have a bumper sticker that says Clinton Supporter for McCain/Palin.
That is an old one…slipped by me as I just saw it. lol
Hannity: Obama & Friends: History of Radicalism is on FOX now.
“Never before released info”
Starting with Columbia U. and “roadblock begins.”
Fox seems to be hammering away on the Ayers thing … wonder if any one is listening
FOX:
He will not release ANY information from his Columbia U. years, or give a single name of a friend, roommate, or association from that time. They have actively sought his senior thesis which was about the Soviet Union and Nuclear Disarmament (during the Cold War years).
He used radical associates to help him get into Harvard Law, including al Mansur an advocate for the Black Panthers.
So far, this is going to terrify the average American.
This FOX special is riveting if anyone wants to watch.
fif: it would be effective if they’d actually get to hear it someplace … maybe they can run it inbetween football plays
Alinsky: Rules for Radicals: How can I manipulate people into giving me what I want?
what’s really odd to me is how many radicals he knows given his age, I mean they were easy to find if you went to school in 1972 but in 1982 or later, you really had to look for them
dakinikat: FOX has a huge viewership. It will start people talking and go from there. It’s unbelievable that this far into the election, this information is just now being released. Why didn’t FOX do this months ago? Oops–I just answered my own question. Get HRC out of the way and wait until October…
fif: that alleged “thesis” of his was 25 pages long — that is NOT a thesis — that is a “paper” and I wrote at least 20 of those in college.
Now, my “thesis” for my JD & for my LLM were at least 150 pages (not including endnotes).
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
fif: yup … true all of that …plus, since his father went to harvard he was a legacy … easy in with that
Community Organizer: what exactly is that?
Andy Martin: someone who was in training for radical overthrow of the government. You have to really stretch that he left NYC where he could make $50-60,000/yr. to go to Chicago to be a grassroots organizer. He probably met Ayers in NYC and moved to Chicago to be part of a radical organization.
Ayers was probably testing him. That’s how they work, they give you a small project first and see how you do, and Obama passed.
fif: you are right on about why FOX didn’t run this stuff earlier — my mom (who has always watched FOX to “know what the enemy is up to” but now watches it because they were the only ones who were kinda fair to HRC) actually wrote to Bill O’Reilly & said he should put himself on his show as “Pinhead of the Week” for not exposing BO — not that it helped, but it cracks me up that she did it.
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
Andy Martin continues:
Probably exposed by Farrakhan to Kallid al Mansur to go to Harvard Law. Obama wasn’t organizing the community–he was organizing his career to the next step in Chicago.
Obama only lives 1/2 mile from Obama in Chicago?!
This is scaring the shit out of me and I know a lot of this stuff…
well, he certainly fits the profile of a stealth candidate and Michelle’s thesis quoted some radicals too
Hard hitting Hannity hour on FOX now.
Exposing Obama’s relationship with Ayers and his dealins in Chicago as a community organizer.
This is shocking stuff!!
Obama only lives 1/2 mile from Obama in Chicago?!
lol! I mean Ayers.
Wow, Hannity goes nuclear on Obama… thank God somebody is shining the light of truth on this manchurian candidate.
fif: well, if he could clone himself, he would.
yeah, fif has me watching it now …
They are making it sound like he really is the Manchurian Candidate, and behind him are these radical socialists. No wonder they have been putting out defensive story lines for months, trying to divert attention from this information. If this gets out to the public, it’s not “just some guy in my neighborhood.” There is a clear pattern of intent here.
I wonder how much they paid that actor for that bs “I’m a member of NRA & I support Obama” ad! HA!
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
But like someone said, a lot of this has been out there since the primary. The MSM chose to ignore all of it.
Ya gotta wonder – The NY Times runs a coverup story on Ayers. Sarah mentions the story and Obama palling around with domestic terrorists. Tonight Fox is finally running their story that you know they have had in the can for months.
Perhaps Fox decided they could not wait any longer (like until the 4th week in October) because other media might beat them to the punch. Its all about the timing – this could be too soon.
Let me just say it is beyond stupid to bomb the judge’s house — what good does that do? Even if you kill the judge, another judge will take over.
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
This FOX show is going to go viral. I can feel it.
They now have Larry Grathwohl on who infiltrated the Weather Underground for the FBI for one year and lived with Ayers. Ayers sat at the kitchen table with him and showed him how to make bombs…yikes.
“In a revolution innocent people have to die.”
Next up: Wright. Holy Moly.
ooh — I didn’t know about the PLO guy!
I wish they would explore the Rezko/Auchi connection too.

Wonder if we will hear any of this in the debate on Tuesday, hmmmmmmmm?
these are the people in your neighborhood
in your neighborhood
in your neighborhood …
the people that you greet each day
taw46 — I bet McCain will bring it up — when someone asked him at a rally when he was going to start “going after Obama” he said, “How about next Tuesday?”
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
Obama issued a statement – “He is not the terrorist I used to know. Oops – I mean neighbor I used to know”.
Hopefully, someone at the town hall meeting on Tuesday will have watched this tonight and will question BO.
Please explain to me how it is a “smear” to mention Obama’s associations with Ayers, but it is perfectly ok to bring up everyone and anyone that Hillary ever met in her life? Didn’t their mothers ever tell them that “birds of a feather flock together?” I know mine did when she objected and/or forbid me to hang out with certain people in high school even though I assured here I wasn’t doing what they were doing.
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
Wright & Pfleger: afro-centric theology based on James Cone. A form of Christian Socialism. In El Salvador: pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-American theology in that country.
There’s Wright ranting again. How did ever get out of that with those lame lies? “I wasn’t in the church that day.”
taw46 — FOX is the most watched cable news show — it has triple the numbers of MSNBC or CNN. I’m not sure how Hannity does, but I know Bill O’Reilly is number 1.

No Carol .. I didn’t catch it yet .. comes on here in about 30 mins or so .. What did the Delta Force say ??
that we muffed it ..?? which is what I’ve read a kazillion times .. ??
angie: you are right, that is what I heard from my mother all the time.” You are judged by the company you keep.”
If it were just one person, well, ok. But every associate? One after the other? you have to keep making excuses?
At National Press Club: How can you expect to do terrorism on others, and not expect it to come back on you.
Now Pfleger…
& Farrakhan.
How close are they? Pfleger supported Obama in 1999, and gave thousands of dollars to his campaigns. Then, BO steered $100,000 into his programs in 2000. He turned on them when they became a political liability.
Dang — I got a phone call. Did Hannity mention the funding Pleger’s church from Obama while he was in the Senate?

OK — I see they mentioned the money. Thanks.

The left blogs are going nuts over the Palin remark. Huffington has a huge post – Palin’s attack on Obama UNSUBSTANTIATED, RACIALLY TINGED, A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO SMEAR.
Hmm…. I think it’s working. Upset, they seem.
Also Daily Kos posted this:
WASHINGTON—The Republican National Committee plans to file a fundraising complaint against Democrat Barack Obama’s presidential campaign Monday, alleging it has accepted donations that exceed federal limits as well as illegal contributions from foreigners.
Good, more info for Sarah on the campaign trail tomorrow.
are they pre-screening the questions in that townhall debate
He is not the professor I knew.
well, if you ask a different question, do they shoot you? (smile)
Ties to PLO.
Rashid Kallidy (sp?). Asked about him at a Town Hall. BO: “He is a professor at Columbia, and is not one of my advisors, or one of my foreign policy advisors. he is a respected scholar, but disagrees with Israeli policy.”
He was an employee of PLO in 1982, when it was a registered terrorist organization.
How do these people get jobs at top universities??
Yikes…the money trail. Oh Snap…OHHHHH Double Snap!
A financial web connects him with Kallidy. Woods fund gave money to Arab American Action Network, founded by Kallidy. He also held a fundraiser for Obama in 2000.
Hannity makes connection with Ayers & Woods Fund. It certainly all looks very close knit doesn’t it?
No wonder he turned down McCain’s town hall debates
I LOVE how Hannity never mentions Ayers’ name without the preface “unrepentant terrorist.” LOL
JMac — I’m glad that the RNC is filing suit about Obama’s illegal fund raising — NQ has been on this forever & it is about time something was done about it. According to NQ a lot of the $ came from the middle east, which I do not think will look good for BO.

think it is Khalidi
Quoting LA Times article clarifying Khalidi’s relationship with Obama and how he “challenged his thinking” over dinners with he and his wife Mona.
Jewish voters are clearly concerned with the candidate. He has also received support from Hamas.
Quote from Hamas leader: “We like Mr. Obama. We hope he wins the election. He has plans to change America.”
This is creepy.
OMG — is this ACORN? I’m on the edge of my seat here!

I wonder when Hannity brings up the donations from Hamas to Obama’s campaign
Who is moderating the debate tomorrow?
Isn’t Tom Brokaw moderating?
the cbs guy … that had the anchor desk before katie and after rather …
The swiftboat is officially in the water, loaded with ammo and headed for Obama Island.
(cue the Jaws theme)
sod — the RNC’s lawsuit against BO’s acceptance of funds from foreigners should expose that Hamas money, at least according to NQ.

I live in Heath Shuler’s district. He endorsed Hillary only after the primary because his district went overwhelmingly for her. At the convention, he switched to Obama. I will not vote for him. I am voting a straight Republican ticket for the first time in my life. Obama was in Asheville today. They say 28,000 attended; gross exaggeration. They say only one protestor; gross under exaggeration. I was there. Over 100 people lined the street with McCain/Palin, Nobama, and PUMA signs. Obama is a Marxist. If he wins in two years we will be in a fascist state and I am willing to bet money on that.
sod — expect this time it is not a “swiftboat” (which is full of lies) but a truthboat! lol

And these are only the warning flares.
angienc: I watched part of Mike Huckabee’s new show tonight to check it out. It’s awful–boring and amateurish–but someone in the audience asked about ACORN. He talked about their intimidation tactics with banks that they forced to provide bad loans to people who couldn’t pay them and that it is at the heart of the economic crisis. He also talked about the huge amount of money they have used in nefarious ways and then said ominously: There is a lot of new information becoming available and it is going to be a very big story in the next few weeks.
acorn now …

Obama is getting exposed BIG TIME tonight!!

On and on it goes…..
And lest you think me a kook, while living in Germany I was set to live in Jordan as I was engaged to a Jordanian, that is, till the war broke out. I’ve seen enough to believe anything possible.
As the Jesuit saying goes, “give me a child for their first seven years and they will always be a Catholic.” So too with Islam (IMHO).
I am getting real pi$$ed now, that the media wasn’t on this crap last year.
Why isn’t the DOJ nailing Obama’s ass already!?
Damn!!
Larry Johnson over at NQ was all over this months ago. They’ve been holding onto it.
Here we go: ACORN.
Voter fraud schemes
Strong arm tactics used with banks to give high risk loans to low income people
Stanley Kurtz: They would send people to a bank officials home and scare their kids.
Now tying it to BO. He represented them as a lawyer. He helped to train them, and then they worked for him in his earliest campaign.
Kurtz: he helped plan an operation when protestors would break into a meeting and stand around them silently. Intimidation of Board of Directors.
He recently paid an arm of ACORN $800K.
Do I need to blog this?
Sorry Hannity — that wasn’t the “whole story” that was barely scratching the surface.

My prediction – mark these words and write them down:
The on-shore crash will be related to :
–the passport breach, the picture leaked of him in Kenyan garb, and the 1996 trip to Kenya in support of his cousin Odingo’s campaign. Odingo is an anti-American candidate.
big KA-BOOM! MMMEEEMMEEEEP! watch out Wiley Coyote
ACORN is VERY busy right now in Ohio and the other wsing states. People are voting now!
fif — I say yes — you need to blog this — a whole recap of everything covered. If it goes viral, the msm can’t ignore it — that is how the Wright story came out — the videos on Hannity went viral.

i think i’ve mentioned it here before, but down here in new orleans, we call ACORN rent-a-protestor …
Need to get the video of tonight’s Hannity’s America up on youtube ASAP!
Newsweek is investigating fundraising:
by Newsweek’s Michael Isikoff:
The Obama campaign has shattered all fund-raising records, raking in $458 million so far, with about half the bounty coming from donors who contribute $200 or less. Aides say that’s an illustration of a truly democratic campaign. To critics, though, it can be an invitation for fraud and illegal foreign cash because donors giving individual sums of $200 or less don’t have to be publicly reported. Consider the cases of Obama donors “Doodad Pro” of Nunda, N.Y., who gave $17,130, and “Good Will” of Austin, Texas, who gave more than $11,000—both in excess of the $2,300-per-person federal limit.
In two recent letters to the Obama campaign, Federal Election Commission auditors flagged those (and other) donors and informed the campaign that the sums had to be returned. Neither name had ever been publicly reported because both individuals made online donations in $10 and $25 increments. “Good Will” listed his employer as “Loving” and his occupation as “You,” while supplying as his address 1015 Norwood Park Boulevard, which is shared by the Austin nonprofit Goodwill Industries. Suzanha Burmeister, marketing director for Goodwill, said the group had “no clue” who the donor was. She added, however, that the group had received five puzzling thank-you letters from the Obama campaign this year, prompting it to send the campaign an e-mail in September pointing out the apparent fraudulent use of its name.
“Doodad Pro” listed no occupation or employer; the contributor’s listed address is shared by Lloyd and Lynn’s Liquor Store in Nunda. “I have never heard of such an individual,” says Diane Beardsley, who works at the store and is the mother of one of the owners. “Nobody at this store has that much money to contribute.” (She added that a Doodad’s Boutique, located next door, had closed a year ago, before the donations were made.)
First of all that is such bs — when I donated to Hillary’s campaign on the internet & usually in less then $200 increments, Hillary’s campaign kept a tally of all of my donations by name, and once I went over $200 my name was on the campaign disclosure list with each and every one of my donations. It sounds to me that the Obama campaign purposefully set up its software to NOT keep track of donors — the press better expose this, because if Hillary’s campaign could keep track, so could Obama’s. Sounds like another opportunity for Obama to blame his “staff” and for the press to let him off scot-free. I hope McCain fights this to the mattresses.

angie, absolutely. mawm actually went over the limit and they sent us a letter asking if they could transfer it to the GE fund. we wanted it to go for the primary which was still going on at the time and tried to transfer it to my name. since we’re not married they couldn’t do that, so they actually sent mawm a check refunding the money he went over. why isn’t obama’s campaign doing the same thing?

Sounds like FOX is (finally) doing what the great majority of the MSM have absolutely refused to do: cover the verifiable history of Obama, warts and all, thereby letting voters come to something of a well-informed decision. For months now, the media have been engaged in a propaganda campaign, pure and simple, editing out the not-so-savory aspects of Obama’s history (and there are many), the parts which might well lead to an Obama loss. Of course, attempts to discredit FOX will rise in direct proportion to the validity of whatever they are disclosing tonight. FOX will be accused of perpetrating “a vile smear campaign without parallel”, “racist drivel”, total garbage, character assassination, the whole nine yards. Meanwhile, nothing of substance will be disproved. Per usual.
We’re going to have to have “popcorn maker” assignments because this show is going to last for another 4 weeks…
Oh how the plot shall thicken…teeheehee hee.
Hey Obama….we’ve been waiting for this moment like you cannot believe.
“Indeed, the passport issue may be the chicken that comes home to roost and lays a big fat egg all over Barry’s face!”
I was reminded of one of my favorite All in the Family scenes:
Edith tells Archie she’s making beef tongue for dinner. Archie says, “oh no, I’m not eating anything that came out of a cow’s mouth. Fix me an egg.”
Haha, Obama, what goes around comes around.
Forget the passport. What needs to be disclosed is Obama’s verifiable history – the real one.
I hope Hannity replays the Obama Ayers show over and over again so everyone sees it. The are replaying the Freddie/Fannie expose tied to the Democrats at lot. Hopefully people will figure out that the Democrats are NOT better on the economy. Certainly not at the risk of crashing our entire financial system.
Anyone but Obama would have been investigated long before now for campaign contributions violations. Its shameful that its taken this long for them to act. He has been ordered to repay 1.7 million and I’ll be that is only a tip of the iceburg.

They are playing that expose at the wrong time. It is up against baseball playoffs and a football game. Unless Hannity replays this during the week, fewer people will have seen it.
NH — and Obama’s response is the typical “he did it too” (remember that from the primary?) by pointing out that McCain had to give back 1.3 million in donations. Of course, he fails to point out that the McCain campaign discovered those donations on their own & gave them back — it didn’t take the FEC to tell them to do it. I swear he acts like he is still in grade school with his “wah he did it too!”

i just got charged with supporting Ethnic cleansing and of being a member of the KKK on my blog for supporting Helena Moreno … as you can see this is going to be a tough, nasty election …
I let it post since it wasn’t obscene just because it was so outrageous
Found this comment by a poster at NQ and wanted to share it. Sure makes you think…
Possible plan for Al-Zawahiri, Al Queada terrorist master strategist:
1) Recruit white people in the U.S. who think like Bill Ayers, who hate their own country. Look for them on Daily Kos. Bill Ayers is the poster child for Obama’s main base of support.
2) Use these white anti-American traitors to sneak past U.S. security (like Timothy McVeigh) and hit the U.S. with a huge terrorist attack while its economy is vulnerable, to send the U.S. into a deep depression.
3) Wait until after the election because an attack before Nov. 5th would help McCain win.
It may be lost on AP that Bill Ayers is white, but it is not lost on Al Queada. Another Bill Ayers is just what they are looking for — right now, as we speak.
I have not really mentioned this before, but I have been thinking that underneath all the fluff of Obama and the corporate media coverup of his past, that there is a deep, dark secret of doom that is being planned against our country, and Obama is one of the tools to accomplish it. I hope I am wrong. But this comment above is a confirmation of what I have been thinking concerning Obama, Ayers, and the radicals that support them.
Someone upthread mentioned the Osama bin Laden takedown. Seems as if they had him in their sights on more than one occasion but the soldier relating the story insisted that higher ups kept pulling back. Interesting. Are we keeping that creep alive just for political purposes? If so, someone needs to pay big time for this.
probably an ACORN employee
“He helped to train them, and then they worked for him in his earliest campaign.”
This just gets worse, doesn’t it? What in the world is going on?
If you are white, you a ra*cist. If you are black, you are a victim. If you are brown, you are illegal. If you are Muslim, you are a terrorist. If you are yellow, you are an infiltrator. These are the codes sent up to separate and divide.
We have so much to overcome.
For those that missed it tonight, FOX will air Hannity’s America again tonight at 12 AM EST.

Pat,
Many years a go, I spoke with a US Special Forces soldier that told me he saw action in Afghanistan for many years.
He told me flat out that on numerous occassions, before 9/11, they had OBL in their sights and were told to stand down and not engage.
When I last spoke with him in 2002, he was very shook that they had not gone ahead and taken OBL out before 9/11. He said they could have done it on several occassions before 9/11.
In a way, the soldier on 60 minutes tonight confirmed what I had been told many years ago. Unfortunately, it appears such a policy to not engage OBL may have continued even after 9/11. Truly sad if that is the case.
Seriously, on October 5th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
That seems totally lost on this person.
angienc – come on up to Chicago and vote – their motto is “Vote early, vote often and don’t let death stop you!”

One must stop and question just what is Obama’s objectives overall? One of his campaign advisers had to step aside a few months ago when it was found that he was meeting with either Hamas or Hezbelloh leaders if anyone remembers that.
Yet Obama goes on unexamined or questioned. Hillary makes a stupid comment and the flap went on for days.
There were even posters who insisted they would not vote for her because she “lied”. This guy’s ascendency is remarkable when considering his total lack of any real experience and judgment calls. He comes across as a total wuss. Yet the media has been “in love” since the beginning. No questions asked, no concerns raised. How is that?
angie, I don’t know how to do anything fancy, but you could just hit return a few times to create a little space between the rest of your comment and your tag line

“Vote for the Crook, It’s Important” reminds me of the French presidential election of 2002, when the French were shocked to find that far right wing xenophobe Jean-Marie LePen of the Front National advanced to the second round. A whole lot of frightened people wound up voting for Jacques Chirac who otherwise couldn’t stand him. The French still talk in hushed tones of that election. Sometimes Vote for the Crook serves the highest good.
Hey, gary, what are the html tags – did they disappear? I’ve been wondering how to bold and italicize for a while now, on this site.
No Quarter sometimes has gotten into the habit of throwing stuff out there to inflame the issues. The lead to that story begins with the word “possible”. Not sure if this is the writer’s imagination at work or something more. Many of the poster over there are hardworking but there are times when you sit back and go “whoa”.
I don’t mean to put them all down, but there have been episodes of incindiary reporting.

I love Mad Men too – good story on how we’re not less sexist today than in the 60s. Will tape it for tomorrow enjoyment

Pat,
I’ll say it…
In Obama, we are witnessing a slow motion terrorist attack on America.
Think about it. Obama was handpicked by William Ayers and Rashid Khalidi. Ayers and Obama slipped thousands of dollars from the Woods Fund into Rashid Khalidi’s group. Ayers and Obama sat on that board together and gave thousands of dollars to a Kalidi, a man with known ties to terrorists. Obam and Ayers and Kalidi all have a financial connection to each other. Ayers and Khalidi are not jsut friends in the neighborhood!
The mainstream media is covering up all of this!
Thank God FOX is willing to tell the American people the truth about Obama’s past. The American people have a right to know about the real barack Obama!
I may get pounded for this idea, but damn, why isn;t the FBI or the Dept of Justice investigating Obama and his radical past? So Obama is the Democratic Nominee. Is Obama above the law of the United States of America?
Why isn’t there a federal grand jury called to investigate Obama’s dealings in Chicago?
Thoughts?
I’m being very bold here.
Woman: I don’t take it very seriously because it’s obviously a pathetic response and is based on never reading anything else I’ve ever done including the multiple times I’ve referenced the black agenda report or other things …
it just appears to be the sign of the obama times
when you have nothing to say critically, call the person you disagree with a racist
Pat — what you say about NQ is true, but they were right about Ayers.
I’m jealous
you guys make bold, italicized print and animated emoticons and i can barely ensure that my spelling is correct!!
Thanks, gary. I used the bold and italic code on another site, but tried it here once and it didn’t seem to work. Gotta work on the link code. Need to learn tinyurl.
I think NoQuarter is hilarious. I agree with Pat that sometimes the issues thrown out there are just outrageous but I think that is why their site is so popular. It’s really no holds bars when it comes to Obama and sometimes they are the only ones to report on an important issue that won’t get picked up by the mainstream media until months later.
Iron Man: Obama is a lot of things but that theory essentially begs incredulity. He goes where he feels he will be most helped and if this means rubbing shoulders with a guy who was a 70s radical to gain access to a Board membership to boost his career he would do it.
His ties to dubious associates tells me that he was looking to fast track his political ambitions and in Chicago you do business with whomever can push you faster to the head of the line. I think he enriched them through his affiliations but I do not see him engaged in blowing up the US. Obama is bad enough on his own without resorting to some far out theories.
emtest/em
No Quarter occasionally walks that fine line between analysis and conspiracy theories … but i like to read it and the responses… some obviously bright bulbs over in that pack
I just saw it too. Still baffled as to how electing a woman of color returns NOLA to white supremacy–maybe teh evil that shoots out of her vagina or something.
The mainstream media in this country consist of BIG corporations and their sole goal is profit. It is not reporting the news, and certainly not reporting the truth. It’s all about money.
The mainstream media does not have the American people’s best interest at heart. They only care about the money.
I have never seen such bias coverage by the mainstream media. It is pathetic!
Late at night when my brain is fried, I sometimes say to myself, “Okay, let’s see what the bad boyz are up to.” Then I click on NQ. Now and then I’ll post there, now and then I’ll find good links and info. Now and then, the crazies surface and I’ll roll my eyes.
Obama’s ties to the Middle East are based more on his own aggrandizement than anything else. At least I prefer to believe as much. But blowing up buildings in the US aided by people from Kos is just absurd.
Of course, a year from now I may be addressing you all while wearing a burka but I will wrestle that one later if need be.

Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
I just saw it too. Still baffled as to how electing a woman of color returns NOLA to wh ite supre macy–maybe teh ev il that shoots out of her vagi na or something.
woo hoo Look at me!!!

dakinikat: And some dim ones as well. To go there, one must always keep their sense of objectivity at hand. A good balance is needed when reading.
IronMan – why isn’t he under investigation in Chicago? ummm…because it’s Chicago and that trick never works.
dakinikat,
Yup, happens to me at GWT site too. With ABG (Angry B Guy)…who once followed me here, but didn’t stay long thanks to the others here.
BTW, I checked and I only have veggies in my freezer. Good point you made!
angienc – woo-hoo! you go girl
Seriously: I wasn’t aware that the KKK had softened their positions of folks of Mexican descent, either … i guess i’m uninformed
Pat — I personally think you are right but the fact still remains if this was any other person running for US President BUT Obama, these associations would have knocked him out of the competition long ago. And people raising questions about these associations would not be labeled r@cist.
Put on your reddest lipstick, your highest heels & your chicest pantsuit & vote for the Woman, It’s Important!
I agree with you on the Obama MO of using anyone and anything to advance himself, no belief system involved. His associations and actions almost invariably have nothing to do with any purpose larger than achieving ends favorable to Obama and Obama alone.
Without a strong and objective press leaves the door open for conspiracy theories to abound. It becomes a problem when people choose to believe only what they feel is being reported from areas that bloom as a result.
Staying informed is hard work. There is a consensus to be found, you just need to keep on looking. Unfortunately we are seeing less and less of real reporting and more and more of infomercials.
You may as well obtain your information off QVC for all that it communicates in the end.
Oops, the “you” is Pat.
Pat – there is no objective, or investigative, press anymore. that has moved to the people like us.
I look at how Obama has tried to silence criticism against him and it is a scary thought to behold if that man was entrusted with the power of the White House.
The connections and relationships between the likes of Obama and Ayers and Khalidi, run VERY deep.
Another thing that is very interesting, is the money that Obama is raising. Over $250 million from people donating amounts of $25 with NO REPORTING of the name or source of that money form the Obama campaign.
Where is all that money coming from? Foreign countries I bet, and probably some VERY wealthy individuals. That much money from people only donating $25 amounts would have to be 10 million donors. No way is that happening.
I’m off to bed. I’ll see everyone for the debate.
Well, you’re not a white liberal blogger dude, dakinikat. You might think the KKK is against African Americans, Latinos, Asians, immigrants, Jewish people, Muslims, Catholics, you might that that African Americans, Latinos, Asian Americans, Native Americans, some Arab Americans are all people of color–but that just shows how ignorant you are.
phlamingophred: But keep in mind we only discuss what has been reported back to us. We may disagree and find links to support our arguments but in the end, we are still only left with what has been given to us by a suspect press in the first place. Take the polls for instance. None of us here are fully convinced that they are even being reported accurately.
Some have him up by 8-9 points, others show a margin of error either way while even others have it at a dead heat. I agree absolutely that Obama has not been properly vetted but other than taking out what we all feel is erroneous, we are more or less on our own.

………………………
These people that call us racist didn’t get the memo: The NAACP now represents all people of color. And MALDEF represents cases that include all people in civil rights cases…including poor ‘white’ students.
Generational poverty is the next big hurdle…
Hey gang — I’m going to wash my hair (yes, at 11:30 at night) but if I don’t do it now, I’ll have to wake up extra early in the a.m. to do it, I don’t like the chances of that happening. I’ll check in again when I’m done, but if anyone leaves before then I just want to tell you good night. (I’m so going to abuse that!)

nite, nite …beauty calls,
Indeed, Chicago is corrupt to the bone. I was thinking something along the lines of a Federal Investigation of obama coming down from DC.
It could start with the FEC on Obama’s campaign donations.
Here’s an open question:
If the American government (DOJ, FBI, State Dept., etc.) has information (stay with me now) that Obama is involved with known terrorists, that there is a plot to do our country harm, what authority do they have right now with him being the Democratic Nominee to, if warranted, investigate and file charges?
If Rezko keeps singing this month and Obama is implicated, do you see the Feds filing charges against Obama? Would they be scared off politically to file charges?
How much power do you think Obama has right now?
IronMan, I find that that possible theory a stretch without more evidence to back it up. And I say that as someone who was targeted for recruitment by Stasi and who turned it down cold. Going against my country, secrecy and skulduggery, not my bag baby. (It’s quite a story. Ask me sometime.)
yeah, it’s really a class issue, but folks aren’t getting the picture any more … that would imply improving the education and health systems for the poor. Some how, when we’re nation building in Iraq or being concerned about some other continent, it’s a good policy, but that’s as far as it goes … we don’t do it here …
we need a little nation building here at home
okay, i’m out, have an 8 am lecture and a commute tomorrow …
take care !
IronMan: Then what you are suggesting is that the federal government is acting in collusion with a nefarious win by Obama who plans on overthrowing the government soon after election. You cannot be serious.
I feel the guy is a jerk and probably not going to be a good leader, but I believe that his main objective is to work hand in glove with the Black Caucus to compensate any and all slights that none of us had any control over in the first place.
I loathe Obama but these theories are way to far out there.
nite, nite all…zzzzzzzzzz
I don’t even believe in the Black Caucus objective, pat. Obama has absolutely no sense of the grievances of others, justified or not. Besides, Obama would appear to consider himself a race of one, above it all.
New post up if anyone is still awake.
Great post, I love it. The No No sisterhood.
I’m voting female. I am also voting against every down ticket Dem that supported Obama. Easy in my case, because they’re all men, LOL.
IronMan, if you haven’t already, look into libel tourism. The New Criterion, albeit a conservative journal, published a special dedicated to the subject. The underlying theme is soft “jihad”. The link below concerns one case that has drawn attention here in the US due to the legal ramifications concerning free speech.

Enjoy.

===============
That’s silly. Bush Jr is still President. The various federal agencies are full of his people, and are under his command. If they thought anything like that was brewing, they’d do something now.
Some of the GOP probably think Obama is softer on Wall Street than McCain/Palin would be, and they’re probably right. But not those.
They’re probably working on this and keeping quiet. If Obama is defeated, then they don’t have to move openly. If he wins in November, then they might consider doing something to stop him or to head off his mischief.
But I don’t think he plans such overt mischief. He’s done fine with the style he’s used so far.
I saw Hannity’s America on Obama’s Radical History. I think it was well done. It will probably not change anyone who has signed up for Obama now but I think it will impact anyone who has been an independent trying to make a decision. It did not really have anything in it that most of us do not really already know. But putting it all together in this one presentation helped to illuminate the reality of a long pattern—and that has power. For people who are not as maniacal as we in the pursuit of how Obama is screwed up, I am sure they would be pretty aghast at all of this stuff buried in his past.
This was followed tonight by the Fox Special on the economic crisis. That was very insightful and had a lot of new information for me. It really called out the Democrats on the F and F mess and named names. Gave Republicans and McCain credit for warning of the dangers. I thought it helped to explain how a relatively small percentage of loans (about 5%) going bad could cause so much damage. Also made it pretty clear that there is no way this government will have any money going forward to do anything new and made Obama’s spending plans look pretty irresponsible. It will definitely help McCain.
I am new to watching Fox but what I have found is that if they have a good story they repeat it and they will also replay it in parts. When you look at what Fox has been doing for election coverage in the last 3 weeks, they have a very orchestrated series of things going on that all interact together to undermine Obama (in a fair and balanced way, of course). I guess Rupert Murdoch has decided there is profit to be had in being the only media guy in the world who is not on the Obama bandwagon. Thus, Fox and the WSJ have been increasingly pumping stories that undermine The One.
I also watched Hannity’s America and was impressed with how well it was put together. I’m certain that the show will be repeated when they see how many people watched it .. I think the “timing” was good. There aren’t that many more week-ends left before election day and the next debate/townhall is Tuesday.
I watched the video posted previously of the Now L. A. president endorsing Palin. Wow – this is tremendous! What if McCain/Palin took California. The crowd behind them looked huge and extremely excited.
I also watched Huckabee’s show and enjoyed it. I saw it last week as well. I thought his interview with actor Jon Voigt. Voight (sp.?) has done his homework. He talked about the “3 A’s” with regard to Obama – Saul Alinsky, Bill Ayers, and ACORN. Voight really likes Palin.
As Carolina North reminded us above, “I will not vote for women who do not support other women.
Having voted for Mary Landerieu for as long as she has been in politicis, I will not vote for her in November.
She stayed under cover the entire Dem primary as Hillary Clinton was wacked over and over everywhere.
She said nothing about the DNC perversion of rules and law. She raised her head only after the perversion ended and had the gall to talk about women in politics and our need to support them. Mary has swallowed way too much of the good ole boy juice. This lifelong Democrat wil vote NO TO MARY LANDRIEU! Let the Obama crew find enough votes, in New Orleans, using empty concrete slabs, and masoleums at the foot of Canal St and the end of the Streetcar line from which to register the gone and dead people I hope she needs to win. Voting all women is not yet going to do it because all women are not yet in politics separated from the same ole boys who will play anyone, especially women to get what they want.
Obama has got alot of that money from IRAN -FEC is calling Obama to send in the names on te list and Iran donations as well as more.Obama is working on taking down america
