Ratfucker in Chief

Ratfucker in Chief

Ratfucker in Chief

On May 31, 2008, I witnessed what could turn out to be the beginning of the end of democracy in our country. Obama’s henchmen on the Rules and By-Laws Committee of the DNC stole votes and delegates that had been awarded to Clinton by the voters of Michigan and gave them to Barack Obama. Of course, there’s hardly a footnote of this from any of the MSM coverage of that event. But I saw it firsthand, and it is the main reason that I will never support Barack Obama, and why his cronies like Brazile, Wexler, Dean, Germond, Fowler, et al. need to be run out of our party for high crimes against democracy itself.

See, Obama’ssurrogates at the meeting contended that it was unfair to award delegates in the Michigan primary by using the actual vote tally.  Obama and Edwards had removed their names voluntarily from the ballot to pander to Iowa voters, and Clinton had left her name on the ballot.  Not surprisingly Clinton received the majority of the vote.  Many Obots would later declare that this was unfair although the only sanction against Michigan for having the audacity to decide when to schedule its primary was that the candidates could not campaign there.  No one ever suggested they take their names off the ballot (and in Florida, which was under the same sanctions, nobody did).  It was only after the fact that the red faced screechers from obamaland cried foul.  And the RBC, using polling that pretended to be able to determine what voters would have done if Obama had been on the ballot, not only awarded him all of the uncommitted votes, but also every single write in vote (which were illegal, and never even opened), AND votes from people who had actually voted for Hillary Clinton (4 of the delegates that would have been hers based on the votes she received were reallocated to Obama).  Clinton backers Harold Ickes and Tina Flournoy made the following statement at the time:

We strongly object to the Committee’s decision to undercut its own rules in seating Michigan’s delegates without reflecting the votes of the people of Michigan.

The Committee awarded to Senator Obama not only the delegates won by Uncommitted, but four of the delegates won by Senator Clinton. This decision violates the bedrock principles of our democracy and our Party.

We reserve the right to challenge this decision before the Credentials Committee and appeal for a fair allocation of Michigan’s delegates that actually reflect the votes as they were cast.

But I’m getting a little ahead of myself.  Because it doesn’t take a tinfoil hat to see that the RBC decision had been in the can for sometime.  One only needs to look at the actions of the Obama campaign leading up to the primary that they were laying the groundwork for this very outcome.  An outcome, by the way, that  would give Obama the very tiny margin he would need to declare himself the presumptive nominee.  Markos kicked off the ratfucking festivities by encouraging his readers to vote for Romney in the Republican Primary:

For Michigan Democrats, the Democratic primary is meaningless since the DNC stripped the state of all its delegates (at least temporarily) for violating party rules. Hillary Clinton is alone on the ballot.

But on the GOP side, this primary will be fiercely contested. John McCain is currently enjoying the afterglow of media love since his New Hamsphire victory, while Iowa winner Mike Huckabee is poised to do well in South Carolina.

Meanwhile, poor Mitt Romney, who’s suffered back-to-back losses in the last week, desperately needs to win Michigan in order to keep his campaign afloat.  Bottom line, if Romney loses Michigan, he’s out. If he wins, he stays in.

And we want Romney in, because the more Republican candidates we have fighting it out, trashing each other with negative ads and spending tons of money, the better it is for us. We want Mitt to stay in the race, and to do that, we need him to win in Michigan.

Two things.  First, a personal note to Markos: go fuck yourself.  And take your ratfucking strategies back to the Republican party where you came from.  Second, either his plan backfired or all of what was to come after was carefully planned.  I’m leaning towards the latter.  My reasoning?  Well, Michigan has a rule that you can only vote once (I know, how DARE they, right?).  And so later, when the Obamans were trying to convince the RBC that Obama deserved some of the delegates that Hillary had earned, they argued that many Democrats had voted in the Republican primary because they were under the impression that their votes in the Dem party wouldn’t count.  In Obama’s world, if he is not on a ballot, but weasels his way back onto it later, he is entitled to votes from fictitious voters who supposedly would have voted for him.  Even if those voters are ratfuckers who were trying to game the other party’s primary.

But it is even worse.  In true Obama form, whenever they cry “NO FAIR!!”, not only does it usually indicate that the results were fair, but that Obama team was cheating on the side to gain an advantage for themselves.  This as exactly the case in the Michigan primary.  As I said before, the only sanction on the candidates was that they were not allowed to campaign in the state.  Hillary Clinton did not, abiding by the rules.  Obama and his allies broke the rules.  They were very keen to get the word out that his supporters should vote “uncommitted” in the primary.  Congressman John Conyers and his wife even had an ad on the radio saying as much:

In an effort to signal that Clinton cannot stroll away with the state’s delegates, even in a largely uncontested race, Michigan Rep. John Conyers and his wife, Detroit city council member Monica Conyers, taped a radio advertisement Wednesday afternoon. In it, they called on Obama backers not to surrender their vote.

They say on the radio spot that they intend to vote “uncommitted” and give Obama a chance to compete for those delegates in Denver.

An “uncommitted” vote would take the place of a write-in, which is not permitted.

“People are already frustrated here in Detroit because they can’t cast a ballot for Obama. Many on their absentee ballots many have tried to write in Obama, but they have spoiled the ballots,” said Sam Riddle, Monica Conyers’s chief of staff. “We know we’ve got to educate the voters in a hurry.”

That seems like a clear cut case of them “breaking the rules” and campaigning for Obama, but of course this got absolutely no coverage from our media.  They were focused on the fact that Clinton had not removed her name, implying that it was, if not a violation of the rule, a violation of the “spirit” of the rules.  (of course this is patently absurd.  Removing ones name from a state sanctioned ballot is actually detrimental to the democratic process, and in many places illegal, including Florida, where all names remained despite the sanctions).  It was especially important, because “uncommitted” –a state recognized entity–had to reach the threshold for being awarded delegates in the primary.

The groups hope that a significant turnout by uncommitted voters will generate national attention for their candidates. Also, under Michigan election law, if at least 15 percent of votes in any district or statewide are for “uncommitted,” the corresponding percentage of delegates may back any candidate.

Because neither Mr. Obama nor Mr. Edwards registered as write-in candidates, any write-in votes for them will be thrown out.

The RBC changed two parts of this equation.  First the uncommitted delegates were not allowed to choose which candidate they would back, they were assigned to Obama in DC, not Denver.  And all of the write-in votes, presumably still gathering dust, unread, somewhere in a warehouse in Michigan, were also awarded to Obama.  Regardless of who’s name was actually written on them.

Of course this is all old news by now.  I bring it up to point out the unmitigated AUDACITY and HYPOCRISY of the following news now coming out of Michigan.

Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee filed a lawsuit Tuesday accusing Michigan Republicans of a scheme to use mortgage foreclosure lists to challenge the voting eligibility of lower-income people who’re likely to back Democrats in November.

The allegations are reminiscent of the “vote caging” schemes that Republicans have been accused of in the past.  But in this case, the evidence is barely circumstantial, and given Obama’s history of gaming elections, highly dubious.

The federal suit, which Democratic lawyers acknowledged was based solely on unconfirmed news and Internet reports, also alleges that Ohio Republicans and the Republican National Committee have contemplated a similar “lose your home, lose your vote” tactic in that battleground state. (emphasis mine)

I do believe that Republicans have attempted to suppress voter turnout in the past.  But I also believe that Obamans used the same tactic.  I believe as well that he will try to bring Chicago voting rules to the general election if we do not have constant vigilance over the election process. (you know, vote early and often, votes for the “living impaired”, etc).  Maybe some of us should actually sign up to be poll watchers this November just to be sure.  Although I wouldn’t let the Democrats know you are a PUMA.  In any case, it is our duty to make sure that the outcome in November is a result of the will of the American voters, not Obama for America.

  1. Wow, Gary. I’m speechless. You said everything so perfectly.

    What a great post.

    I like this part:

“People are already frustrated here in Detroit because they can’t cast a ballot for Obama. Many on their absentee ballots many have tried to write in Obama, but they have spoiled the ballots,” said Sam Riddle, Monica Conyers’s chief of staff. “We know we’ve got to educate the voters in a hurry.”

Um, no, what your cowardly ratf*cker of a candidate should have done was put his name on the f*cking ballot. Then, his voters would have had the chance to vote for him.

    DUH.

  2. Excellent “recount” of the despicable Obama MI and RBC theft and tying this to the totally shameless , dirty and corrupt Obama “lawsuit”. This was the final straw for me too.

  3. This is why I laughed my ass off on another board when a bunch of Obots got their knickers in a twist over the alleged “vote caging” in Michigan. I was like “NOW you care about Michigan voters having the right to choose their candidate? NOW you care?” Hypocrisy, thy name is Obama.

BTW, Gary, I heard a bunch of those Liddy commercials at my other job this morning, and I just couldn’t get past the banjos. I laughed every single time.

  4. julie :) mawm and I go into fits of hysterical laughter when they come on tv.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Senator Barack Obama stood beneath the stars – surrounded by the ones from Hollywood – and tried to soothe the concerns of worrying Democrats here on Tuesday as he held the biggest fund-raising night of his campaign.

“A lot of people have gotten nervous and concerned. Why is this as close as it is? And what’s going on?” Mr. Obama said, speaking to about 300 people over dinner at the Greystone Mansion. “We always knew this was going to be hard – this is a leap for the American people.”

“If the American people won’t vote for him it is that they just can’t make that leap. Now what “leap” could he possibly be referring to other than race. ”

That race card just keeps on giving.

  6. The new faux democratic party is so NOT what real democrats and Americans stand for.
I was taught in high school in the 1950’s that facism could happen here but I never believed it until this election .
What ever it takes legally to bring down this faux party should be done.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

    PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

  7. When Dean said “We must respect the will of the voters who didn’t vote” in his remarks at the RBC, we knew the fix was in. It is hard to think about that saga again without becoming enraged. Thanks, for upping my BP, Gary. Trying to kill me? Just kidding. It is important to remember. I think O is so pissed about the foreclosed home thing because they were counting on having 100 illegitimate votes from each address. I wouldn’t put it past them.
A couple of points: There was no anti-campaigning sanction. The anti-campaigning was in the 4-state pledge where the candidates agreed not to campaign in the offending states as a suck-up measure to the 4 states who felt they were harmed. The whole thing was ridiculous but the DNC wasn’t a party to the pledge. Also, O could have removed his name from the FL ballot. It wasn’t illegal-they have date requirements for removal if you still want to be on the Prez ballot-he had plenty of time to remove his name if he had wanted to. Maybe he couldn’t get Edwards to go along or who knows why.
You are right about the voter suppression by O-he certainly did in the primaries. He will do it again.

  8. Carol-I wish he would take a leap. A flying one.

  9. gary,

Thank you for this post. While I knew this story in vague outline, you have really sharpened the focus for me – and the picture is awfully grim!

  10. I wish he would take a leap. A flying one.

    LOL! Me too!

I think Obama called out to us Pumas in his long-winded economy ad (the one where he just talks to the camera for two minutes. He ends by saying this:

I’m Barack Obama. I hope you’ll read my economic plan. I approved this message because bitter, partisan fights and outworn ideas of the Left and the Right won’t solve the problems we face today. But a new spirit of unity and shared responsibility will.

Yeah, Barack, it’s just us bitters who can’t feel the spirit of unity.

  11. I just got an email from a diehard Dem who was a delegate in Denver and said it was “dreadful” but is still all Dem.
The email was about: Alaska Women Reject Palin rally was to be held outside on the lawn in front of the Loussac Library in midtown Anchorage . Home made signs were encouraged, and the idea was to make a statement that Sarah Palin does not speak for all Alaska women, or men. I had no idea what to expect.
with pictures that showed a lot of women with their signs.

  12. Barack calling for Unity is like my boss calling for 100% raises for all employees.

    -MS

  13. thanks for the pointers joan. I am still unsure about the florida thing, though. I read other accounts that said it was illegal. Do you have any links to definitive info? I thought I had read the actual statute, but then again, I’m not yet fluent in legalese :)

  14. Gary, thanks for this. It makes me furious again just thinking about that RBC puppet show.

How do you like this? Is the Left turning into a bunch of little fascist assholes run amuk? Screw democracy and free speech, let’s shove OUR speech down everyone’s throat, because those stupid rednecks need to be told how to think. What the Left has been saying, loud and clear to me this election, is: “Yeah, I know we just spent 8 years yelling about the Bush administration and their running roughshod over freedoms and democracy, but we really didn’t care about that. Not really. We were just pissed that it was THEIR bullyboyz in power, not OUR bullyboyz in power.

Colo. Professor Investigated For Palin Assignment

DENVER, Colo. (CBS) ― Metro State College in Colorado is investigating a professor who asked students to write an essay critical of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. One student said the instructor singled out Republican students in the class and allowed others to ridicule them.

“I was shocked, I was holy cow, this is just an open door for him to discuss politics with us,” said Jana Barber, a student in the class.

Barber shared the first class assignment with CBS Station KCNC-TV. Instructor Andrew Hallam asked students to write an essay to contradict what he called the ‘fairy tale image of Palin’ presented at the Republican National Convention.

“What the faculty’s responsibility is to provide opportunity for critical thinking and civic engagement so bringing something of relevancy into the classroom was the faculty’s goal,” said Cathy Lucas, spokeswoman for Metro State. “Should he have broadened it and included all the political figures, yes.”

Metro State officials are investigating claims of bias, harassment and bullying.

Hallam declined an interview with CBS Station KCNC-TV. He has revised the assignment.

Students may now write about any of the candidates.

  15. If Barack wanted Unity, he and Hillary would be on the same ticket.

He doesn’t want Unity. He wants to kick us out of the Party.

Too bad for him, we’re not going, and HE is the one who will be auf’d!

    PUMA POWER!!!!

  16. Wasn’t the real reason obama and Edwards took their off the ballots in Michigan because the polls had Hillary winning decisively?

What do you want to be that professor is an O-bot?

I’m glad the kids can now use their critical thinking skills on ALL the candidates. THAT’s non-partisan and it belongs in ALL our classrooms!

Jesu Christe. What is wrong with these people???

  18. joanelle, I read about that rally on “mudflats” which is a blog on wordpress, supposedly authored by an “average alaskan voter” that shot from obscurity to being the top blog on wordpress within a week of Palin’s announcement as VP (I highly suspect the site is an astroturf operation). I wonder how many of those people were actually alaskans. There are so many dirty tricks going on its hard to keep up. And we all know that obama has the cash to pay for it. I would bet he is also behind the email hack of Palin. We’ve actually had some of those guys show up here with their troll spam…if anyone saw greta’s blog last night, those comment/spam are exactly the same as some we’ve gotten here.

  19. This is the reason I tell folks Please do not write in Hillary and please do not leave the top two blank- do you doubt that the DCN will figutre out how to give those votes to Obama? I don’t !

No make your vote count ! Count – Against Obama -!

Please so this for our country – hold you nose – close your eyes and scream – Hari Kari if you have to – hell it will make everyone in the hall crap in their pants but they will probably run in and pull the levers and scream Hari Kari too!

What the hell Democrats all over the nation may be going behind the curtain and screaming Hari Kari – heheheheeh

Imagine the news byline on election night! Dem’s commiting Hari Kkari at the polls as they take out Obama and save Democracy!

Hey – I just came up with my new blog piece for today!

    love ya! BJ

  20. Good recap. Covered everything succinctly. The wounds are still fresh from this debacle. During these tough economic times since the Democratic Party already had the fix in for Obama from the beginning, why waste all of our time and money on a sham primary? I know my money could have gone to better use contributing to local food banks, helping my elderly parents and grandmother.

  21. MrMike, it was that, and also the idea that the Iowa voters were PO’d at MI for trying to upstage their precious “first” status by moving up.

So Obama figured if he took his name off, Iowans would feel all vindicated and caucus for him. He did it primarily to suck up to Iowa.

  22. the email attack also shows what little regard they really do have for our privacy. the FISA vote was just hte beginning.

  23. He won ugly. The DNC pulled, tugged and pushed him over the line for the win.

And he might win the general. It’s heartbreaking.

  24. freemenow…I’m with you. a blank space is just an invitation to the Obots to steal my vote.

  25. freemenow, hilarious image! LMAO!

  26. WMCB, I agree with both of you. he actually got more votes because he got all the votes from people that were “uncommitted” but were really Edwards’ supporters. Not having his name on the ballot not only was a pander to Iowa, in the end it resulted in a net gain of votes for him. More evidence, imo that they had the whole RBC decision done before the michigan primary even happened

  27. “hey argued that many Democrats had voted in the Republican primary because they were under the impression that their votes in the Dem party wouldn’t count.”

They just made up for all the Republican’s he convinced to vote for him in the primary.

    Mountain Sage

  28. Obama played Edwards for a fool in MI. I was an Edwards supporter, and he could have gotten a lot of votes in MI — it’s very blue-collar and pro-union.

  29. Obama didn’t win ugly, the nomination was gifted to him.

  30. Great post, Gary. I think that the Deanocrats know that the lawsuit in MI is not going to go anywhere, but their purpose is to distract the voters from the disenfranchisement in the Democratic primary. They are counting on the voters having short memories and hoping that the voters will focus on Republican actions rather than the outright stealing of their votes by the RBC.

  31. freemenow, great point. I can empathize with those voters who want to write in Hillary but in some states that vote will be counted for Obama. In others it won’t count at all.

Personally, I think I’ll scream “puma haka” when I pull the lever. :D

  32. Quote of the day from Obama:

“The one thing that I want to insist on is that, as I travel around the country, the American people are a decent people. Now they get confused sometimes. You know, they listen to the wrong talk radio shows or watch the wrong TV networks, um, but they’re, they’re basically decent, they’re basically sound.”

  33. I think the MI voters need to be reminded, closer to the election, of what happened during the primary. Maybe a 527 ad or two?

  34. Well, I think he won ugly in Texas. The caucus was a zoo and rife with corruption. He fought so hard for the three extra add-on delegates he almost lost the union one of them represented. Of course, by the time Texas met, it had already been decided he was the nominee, but it was still ugly.

When the people who represent you are playing ugly, you’re playing ugly.

  35. Awww, IronMan, it sounds like Obama thinks we’re “likeable enough.” I’m so touched.

  36. ironman, i guess thats the definition of elitist

  37. HOLY CRAP! McCain in Iowa just hit Bush. He said that the chairman of the SEC is appointed by the president, to protect the public’s interests. He has BROKEN the public trust. “If I were president today, I would fire him.”

My paraphrase is not as strong as he said it. He really took a swipe at Bush. Points out his efforts to reform Freddie and Fannie in 2005. Says Obama has not lifted a finger to do anything. Poor judgement.

He is now killing both parties on inaction – says the Dems don’t want to take action until after the election. Says they are using the economic crisis for political advantage, rather than working to fix it.

  38. There’s no way Hillary could have gotten away with what happened in Michigan or what happened in the caucuses in Texas. The press would not have let her. Even if the DNC had her back, the press would have gone ballistic.

We really would have had a civil war if Hillary had fought the same way O did.

  39. More quotes from Sarah in Cedar Rapids, Iowa just now, speaking about Obama:

“He likes to point the finger of blame, but has he ever lifted a finger to help?”

    Crowd yells NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

“When it comes to reform, has he ever once said, “We did, instead of “I will” ?

    Crowd yells NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

“John McCain and I are optimistic in solving these problems. We’ve brought about change and reform.”

    Crowd is pumped up!!

    LOVE IT!!!

McCain on now, exposing Obama’s ties to the corruption in Freddie and Fannie. McCain is nailing Obama now!

    AWESOME!!

“His idea of reform is what his party leaders in Washnigton tell him to do.”

“I’ve fought both parties to shak up Washington, and I’m going to do it as President.”

Crowd roars!! Chants of John McCain, John mcCain!

McCain hiting the corruption and manipulation of the home loan system. Speaking on the abuses within the agencies. Speaking about his warnings from two years ago about Fannie and Freddie.

“Senator Obama talks a tough game on the financial markets.but the facts tell a far different story!

    OH, hell yes McCain!

McCain is nailing Obama and exposing his ties to Fannie Mae.

    Yes!!

    McCain nailing Obama now!

While the leaders of Fannie and Freddie were lining the pockets of Obama….BOOM!

“That’s not change, that’s what’s broken in Washington today, my friends.”

“Senator Obama isn’t change. He’s part of the problem in Washington.”

    Go Johnny Go!!

McCain commenting on Bidne’s comment about taxes!!

Raising taxes in a difficult economy is not Patriotic. It’;s not a badge of honor. It’s just plain dumb.”

    Crowd roars!

“I’ll lead us through this crisis by fighting for you!”

    “You inspire me, my friends.”

A few hecklers are showing up now. They can’t stand that John McCain is nailing it!

“The one thing that Americans want us to do is to stop yelling at each other, don’t they?”

“I have asked Senator Obama to come anywhere, anytime, any place, and we’ll do townhall meetings together. Why is it that Senator Obama won’t come here and stand on a stage with me and share hi ideas and face the people. The next time people start yelling, tell them to tell him to come here and stand by me and talk with me and the voters of Iowa and America.”

    (quick summary) :)

    Crowd is loving it!!

McCain said if he was President, he would fire the head of the SEC!

    Tak that, Ozero!!

    McCain-Palin ‘08
    Hillary ‘12

  40. Ironman, that quote is a little over my head. I’m confused. I wonder if The One could restate it in simpler terms for us bitter, small town folk?

  41. why is nobody talking about Dodd and how he took more money from Fannie May and Freddie Mac (More than any other politician) when he was the chairman of the committee that oversee them!!!

isnt this a conflict of interest? how can you take money from the company that supposedly you are overseeing??

  42. If O’s email had been hacked in the primary, we would have had 24/7 coverage of the outrage and accusations that Hillary did it. It’s Sarah, rarely a mention, and when there is, it is followed by “there are accusations that she used her private email account to conduct govt business.” So it’s OK, story over.

  43. “When it comes to reform, has he ever once said, “We did, instead of “I will” ?

    Crowd yells NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this one! My sentiments exactly!

  44. jonas, McCain just did, in the Iowa rally. Brought up “the Democratic chair of the committee that oversees them” is the on with most of their money.

McCain really hit Obama hard on the economy today. Pointed out a lot of hypocrisy. He hit Bush as well.

  45. Anyone that just saw that rally knows that McCain is the only one qualified to be the President of the United States.

    End of Story.

  46. IronMan -

    Wow.

He then added, “Unless they are not voting for me, in which case they are a bunch of #!@#)(*$&$%)(*!&!. F*ck you very much.”

  47. taw46…gloria allred was yammering on last night on greta that we deserve to know if she was using her personal email for business…as if the hackers had done us a service. Greta asked “what about presumption of innocence?” and I thought, she is the VICTIM of the crime, why are they talking about cover ups and presumption of innocence. the democrats have become more depraved than the repubs, and that’s saying something.

  48. LOL madamab :)

  49. gary, you are right and that is why I am voting for McCain in Nov. I also have never voted for a Rep in my life, but I don’t want any Dems in power– except Hillary, of course!

  50. Blatant malfeasance, misdemeanors, and felonies don’t tend to bother the media and the DNC.

But, don’t let a mother send her family photos via the business email system, and they are ready to take her down.

Go ahead, I’ve got the bail money.

  51. I know I am not supposed to pay attention to the polls right now, but they are scaring the hell out of me. They are still showing Obama ahead and he cannot and I mean cannot win. His winning would be terrifying.

I have always been one to follow my instincts and they are good (tooting my own horn, sorry). Not going to go into much detail, but I never count how many sheets of paper I need, somehow I pick up the right amount every time, (I know you are hearing Twilight Zone music), but sometimes intuition cannot be explained.

I have hated to see Republicans go into office, but with Bush I was scared and scared out of my wits, crying and explaining to my friends that he would start wars, young men would die and that he would tear the constitution to shreds. With Obama, this ominous feeling is worse, much worse. He scares me more than Bush ever did.

  52. See what Obama is doing, just from th equotes in this thread:

We always knew this was going to be hard – this is a leap for the American people.”

“The one thing that I want to insist on is that, as I travel around the country, the American people are a decent people. Now they get confused sometimes. ”

Arthur Silber points out that Obama is using “us” vs. “them”. He (and his supporters) are not like those confused, misguided (racist) American people.
    http://powerofnarrative.blogspot.com/2008/09/deadly-star-if-you-dont-vote-for-me.html
Lady Lynn de Rothschild is right — Obama is using class war.

  53. Oh and please don’t think I am looney.

  54. Oh dear, I’m in moderation (I forgot and used the “r” word).

  55. kim, I do not think you are looney. I feel the same way about O, if he wins.

  56. Personally, I think McCain would be a lot better for this country than Obama. If I didn’t, I’d be voting for Obama no matter what he did. I would not put my Party over my Country.

Divided government is the way to go. Checks and balances must be restored. Giving a malignant narcissist like Obama the keys to the Executive and Legislative Branches would be the next step towards a total Stalinist takeover of this country by his Obamabots.

I fully believe that Obama would finish what Bush started in terms of the warrantless wiretapping, etc. The latest email hacking and the FISA vote shows the Obamacrats have no respect for anyone’s privacy.

Call me paranoid, but I am absolutely certain this would happen if Obama were elected.

  57. janicen,

    I feel the same way!

And McCain-Palin comments in Iowa already making news!

    http://thepage.time.com/

That was my favorite quote from Sarah Palin on Obama,

“When it comes to reform, has he ever once said, “We did, instead of “I will” ?

That says it all right there! It describes Obama perfectly!

McCain-Palin are hitting Obama back with the truth!
Long overdue, IMO. Glad to see it!

Hope someone is able to YouTub the Cedar Rapids, Iowa rally. It was awesome!

    Wow.
Quote of the day from Obama:
    ************
I think Obama really believes what he is saying, unlike Bush who smirks when he lies. Obama has constructed in his mind and alternate reality and he believes it. Even Nixon at his most deranged, drinking phase, still had one foot in reality; Obama doesn’t. I really believe that Obama thought that the Banking committee was his committee and that he was a major player in passing the stimulus pkg. I can’t think of another candidate who has scared me more than Obama; even Barry after the “Daisey Ad’ doesn’t come close.

  59. Gary, I have not kept up with NC politics since moving to SC. A friend just asked who he should vote for over Liddy. I remember your saying something about this contest.

  60. If Congress is taking an early break, is it because they want to go home & campaign, or is it because they don’t won’t to bring up financial reform right now?
    Any ideas?

  61. kim, kay hagan is the dem. she’s fairly conservative (no surprise), and she has not been an obamabot, although she tepidly endorsed him in the primary, her website doesn’t even mention his name. She is currently a state senator from greensboro. I plan on voting for her, and she is on the confluence act blue page on the blogroll if you want more info.

madamab, I think the email hacking proves his disregard for our rights and the constitution, and yes I do think he is behind it. remember they got the email memos from clinton? it is just too similar. Clinton is too smart to use email though…

  62. POE…i’m sure they’re itching to get home to campaign. but I also think they don’t have a clue as to what to do about the economy.

  63. OT – interesting article on Sarah Palin and the wolves. Looks like they are rabid and attacking children.

Is there ANYTHING the fauxgressives have said about her that is true?

I’m growing “fatigued and irritated” with their constant BS.

  64. GCH: REmember just yesterday Harry Reid said, “We don’t know what to do” about the Economy? That’s why they haven’t done anything. Harry’s words.

  65. WOW Gary – they actually had the nerve to file suit, but of course if it benefitted them – it’s ok to cage.

Do the Obamabottish DNC actually think that what they got away with in primaries will work in the GE??? Ha! I can’t wait for them to get spanked.

WE MUST FIGHT for voter reform!!!

  66. IronMan, thanks for The Page link.
    This is cracking me up:

Palin said she didn’t mean to hurt Obama’s feelings.
    http://thepage.time.com/gov-palin-on-thursdays-hannity-and-colmes/

    Now that’s gotta sting!

  67. ~“We must respect the will of the voters who didn’t vote” in his [Dean's] remarks at the RBC, we knew the fix was in.”~

You CAN’T respect the “will of the voters who didn’t vote” because we’re lucky to get half of qualified voters to turn out for elections and can you imagine the fight between Democrats and Republicans to determine who the voters who didn’t vote would vote for!!

What an oxymoron! I know some of those voters who didn’t vote in elections and they usually tell me “What’s the difference. POLITICIANS DON”T LISTEN TO US ANYHOW, THEY JUST DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO NO MATTER WHO WE VOTE FOR. I always argued that one person CAN make a difference and if we band together we CAN make a BIG difference but I stand corrected.

If anything proves their point it is the 2008 primary. We have done everything correctly; we selected a good candidate, supported her all the way and yet here we are; at the edge of an abyss while the devious Obama disciples are shoving us over yelling “suck-keerrr” at the top of their lungs. We’ve lost big time in spite of our 18 million vote win. How can politicians call that a democracy?

  68. I think we should respect the vote of the people who don’t vote in the GE. I declare those votes for Hillary. Yeah, Hillary wins.

  69. Madamab: You linked to something completely not about wolves. Do you have the right link?:

It was a good post at Partizane though.

  70. Gary, thank you. This is one of your best ever. This isn’t faint praise, truly, this should be seen far and wide.

There are times when the “end” might justify the “means,” but this isn’t one of those times. BZero has cast himself and recast himself in a mantle of change and it would be worth we were fighting for something bigger than the ambition of one person. To cast and recast himself as being the “one” is laughable on its face. It took him three days to get a position on the invasion of Georgia and now two days to support the bailing out of AIG. His idea of leadership is measuring the political winds — now is not the time. He is dangerous not just for his lack of knowing who he is, but he is ultimately more dangerous for what he is — a political opportunist of the highest degree.

  71. Imagine how much better things could have been if Bill didn’t have a divided government while he was president. Saying that a “divided government is the way to go” is not always the best strategy. It works good in some cases (like if the Dems had actually stopped Bush on many things), not so good in other cases. Unitary government is bad, but there is no reason to think divided government is some bad a priori.

I would be interested also since I send money to “save the wolves” of Yellowstone NP and the Northern Rockies.

  73. On route to work I listened to Limbaugh. I know he’s a bombastic egomaniac, but I loved listening to him rant about BO: “He’s a fraud! He’s using Saul Alinsky tactics to foment racism. He’s a Chicago thug!”

At least someone is telling the truth. Did you all know Obama, Mr. New Politics, is running ads in Northern Virginia claiming that “McCain will overturn Roe V. Wade and women will not be able to get abortions,” and he is running Spanish ads taking quotes by Limbaugh out of context that insult Mexicans, linking them with McCain, and running them in FL, NM, AZ & CA?

First, Roe v. Wade we’ve discussed, and even IF it was overturned, it goes to the states, so saying “women won’t be able to get abortions” is just a blatant lie coming from a “Constitutional scholar.”

Second: Limbaugh has always hated McCain because their views on immigration are totally different.

So, as Rush pointed out, this “post-racial candidate” is using fear and lies to foment anger and racial hostility in order to win by any means necessary.

    LOL!!!

  75. fif, he did the same thing to Hillary before the Nevada caucuses…his spanish language ads were outright lies.

  76. new post up

  77. carol, I’ll take it one step farther. I wasn’t on the ballot either, but I believe I’m so wonderful that I would have won hands down. where’s my key to the front door of the whitehouse???

  78. Rush (can’t believe I’m referencing him!) also very clearly articulated what we have all seen and know from the primary season:

Obama is running one Saul Alinsky campaign behind the scenes, using lies and racial manipulation to win by any means, and he and Axelrod are presenting the calm, erudite, new millenial politician image for the public.

Sound familiar? I can’t stand this guy. To see him do it with Hillary and now do it again is so sleazy and ugly, and he gets away with it because of the disgusting media.

  79. Until the very last debate with Hillary, and on his website, Obama said he was going to raise taxes on anyone making more than 75,000. After the last debate he raised it to 200,000-250,000 to match Hillary’s postion. No one ever brings this up.

    Flip flop- Baracus Oblabacus.

  80. Shoot! I forgot that you can’t see the comments at Partizane unless you’re logged in. Will move to the next post and try to find the relevant link.

  81. gary: Your piece is so well written, so well thought out, so well researched, it belongs in a history book! This is exactly what happened and it should not go ignored. Bravo!

  82. I had no internet for 5 days, no power for three days and missed this place terribly. (wind storm in OH)

And the first headline I see is THIS post, am now grinning from ear to ear and am soooo glad I am off today. Off to catch up on all the stuff I missed!

  83. Have a new graphics up – not as talented when it comes to writing like you all. Please check it out

    http://olbynocchio.blogspot.com/

Doing things in between work hiding from my boss :)

  84. AAO: Shhhhhhhh! We won’t tell.

  85. :- THX

  86. Amazing post, Gary. Yes, we do have to remember that Obama, Axelrod, and their gang are ratf*ckers. I wonder if we’ll have a lot of repeats of what happened in Gary, IN during the primary? Will the Republicans be ready for it? I don’t know. Remember Mayor Daley made sure that JFK carried IL and handed him the election. Richard Nixon fortunately decided not to fight it.

  87. Good one AAO! I won’t nark either.

  88. GaryChap,

Yup, I remember that day all too well and still feel traumatized by the events. It was too shocking and it was too frightening (that it was happening in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!).

Hopefully one day the historians will do a proper account of the ‘DIRTY’ primary and what really happened as our press is still missing. Maybe we should do a poster: MISSING, AMERICAN PRESS/MEDIA…LAST SEEN IN OCTOBER 2007. POSSIBLE SIGHTINGS…BUT NOT SURE IT WAS THEM…ALL GIGGLY AND IN LOVE…pupils fixed! :-(

  89. Second: Limbaugh has always hated McCain because their views on immigration are totally different.

Speaking of which, have you seen Political Punch about the new Obama spanish-language ad tying Limbaugh to McCain on immigration? Talk about a low-down, dirty, out and out LIE by the Obama campaign. Color me (even more) disgusted by BO.

  90. Thanks Gary – this helps to solidify why I am voting for McCain. I can’t get over the nerve of the lawsuit in Michigan. Like he cares about votes unless they are for him. Call me crazy, and I don’t want to sound cold, but if people aren’t still in their homes, how are they still eligible to vote using a previous address?

  91. BTW – what’s happening with his Iraq encounter?

  92. AAO, I love your graphics, especially the olbynochio lol…joanelle, don’t know exacty, the media just ignored it.

  93. TheRealKim – I was the same way over Bush right from the get go, everyone at home and at work thought I had gone nuts. My intuition even went further because I wanted to mount a 24/7 vigil at the graves of Jefferson and Madison. And it wasn’t just a passing idea either, the need kept knawing at me for months/years. And I was right.

  94. Gary, I am glad to see another post about this, in case there are any new visitors who weren’t previously aware of the extent of the dishonesty and subterfuge of the DNC/Obama campaign.

Last week, an acquaintance of mine (who was a Clinton supporter but now supports Obama) emailed Steinem’s article to a large number of women. In my very respectful reply, I provided links to stories about the caucus fraud, the May 31 decision, the roll-call vote, etc. She answered that she hadn’t heard about many of those things and that she will read the articles. If the freaking media had been doing their jobs all along, people would have heard about all this sh*t.

I am really afraid that Obama will get the votes of good-intentioned people who just do not know the truth.

  95. Thanks Garry this is how I take out my frustration. Once I vent out I can go back to work. The sad part is I do hide my blog from my wife as she is into O.

Will be back to read the post later on – feel guilty for posting my blog and running out.

  96. If you leave the vote blank, the Obamabots will fill it in for you.
What about Obama hackers ? Changing results ?

  97. Holy shit, Batman! I never thought about it but even though MI and FL were sanctioned (stripped of their delegates) and candidates agreed not to campaign in those states it didn’t mean that folks couldn’t VOTE and wouldn’t be counted. I guess I just assumed since the candidates didn’t campaign, that these primaries wouldn’t matter. {{light bulb going off}}} THOSE PRIMARIES DID COUNT!

  98. Hi Gary RD & Co. Gary, you said it all.

This is worse than the last eight years, no?
What you said about losing Democracy…

The media taking NO NOTICE? Of the wrongs begs certain questions doesn’t it?

    In a word: Rigged?

That’s the word. Poll watcher is an idea I had too, this year. Mostly to see if I saw any electioneering go on out here in California. We have very strict laws against that. Documentary evidence was had from Jake Tapper — earlier on that this happened in camp O.

    Very bad. Chicago Politics?
Dirty. Just look up Alice Palmer. Rotten politics?
    Umm, hmmmmmmmmmm………………..

No VOTE for that out of me. Never.
This time around it is actual cheating?
    Who is behind that, anyway?
Who is getting paid behind the scenes, is a question…

  99. The one thing that I want to insist on is that, as I travel around the country, the American people are a decent people. Now they get confused sometimes. You know, they listen to the wrong talk radio shows or watch the wrong TV networks, um, but they’re, they’re basically decent, they’re basically sound

This is the statement of a narcisstic condescending future tyrant and megalomaniac

  100. Gary, you’re my hero!

We need to make lots of noise about the Iraq issue – and the fact that he never registered for the draft – both illegal actions and Lord knows what else.

Had dinner with friends last night and her elderly aunt was there – she said in her broken German-English that what she is seeing here is exactly what she saw as a young girl in Germany and what her parents talked of years later after they moved to America.
He is indeed a meglomaniac – he’s a “wonder” in his own mind
OMG – we can’t allow it to happen here. We can’t just talk about it ,we need to insure that more people know about what happened in Denver, his illegal actions, etc.

  101. Chicago politics – Vote early, vote often and don’t let death stop you!

Seriously, do the dems really think they can outflank the gop at the ballots? After the gop stole the 2000 and 2004 elections using that very strategy?

  102. Elixir, none of the primaries counted. They threw away all the results when they got to the convention. They gave Obama just enough stolen Delegates from Hillary to let him call himself the nominee all summer. Then they twisted arms and greased palms just enough for the delegates to ignore our votes and cast ballots the way Obama told them to.
