BREAKING–who knows what’s going on? –and– Nancy Pelosi, Kiss my ***!!!

Nancy Pelosi must be getting a little testy about that 9% approval rating and the fact that Cindy Sheehan is causing her a little grief. But why is she taking it out on us?

“I think Hillary Clinton has been very gracious,” Pelosi said on KGO radio. “I think some of her supporters have been less than gracious.”

**UPDATE** There’s a storm a comin’ get ready for them to throw everything they got at us…hold on tight

WE have been less than gracious?  Excuse me Madame Speaker, but you don’t deserve any graciousness for the sniveling, backstabbing, dismissive way

Pelosi Deville

Pelosi Deville

you have conducted yourself during this campaign season.  In fact I think you deserve a little more ridicule and derision, and thankfully the New York Observer gave me just the idea (see exhibit A, right).  But hey, maybe I should be thanking Nancy, I mean she did get us mentioned in the news again:

One group of disenchanted Democrats have formed a coalition popularly referred to as “Party Unity My A–,” while the AP reports Thursday other backers of Hillary Clinton plan to paper Denver, the city hosting the Democratic convention, with outraged fliers to express their disapproval with Obama as the presidential nominee.

And before anyone accuses ME of sexism for the above SATIRIC image, listen to Nancy’s own words.  She is so blinded to her own internalized misogyny that she can’t even tell the difference between Bill and Hillary Clinton, because of course there HAS to be a man behind the woman;

Speaking Wednesday, Pelosi also brushed aside comments made by Bill Clinton during a recent interview, during which the former president refused to say if he though Obama was ready to be Commander-in-Chief.

“I can’t answer for Bill Clinton,” she said. “It’s hard when you’re in a primary election. Losing is very, very difficult.”

Bless your heart Nancy, you didn’t get the memo?  HILLARY Clinton was running for the nomination, not Bill.  You really need to get out of Washington more often.   Anyway, maybe she’s mad because we’re getting more press than she is:

“I am a very realistic woman,” said Diane Mantouvalos, co-founder of the Just Say No Deal Coalition. “I don’t think that anything is going to change, but I do think it is important to be heard, and this is our way of doing it.”…

Mantouvalos, a Miami public relations consultant, said her network is renting a 5,000-square-foot loft in Denver for its bloggers. Another outfit called The Denver Group is planning a reception the evening Hillary Clinton speaks at the convention. The group, which is pushing for Clinton’s name to be placed in nomination, also hopes to raise enough money for a TV ad.

Diane is really getting our message out there.  She and Heidi LI Feldman, who was on NPR this moring, have been really getting noticed lately. Here’s Heidi:

“The only way a Democratic Party will have the credibility to elect a Democrat in November is if the party uses a legitimate process to choose its nominee,” said Heidi Li Feldman, co-founder of The Denver Group. “We are not per se a Clinton support group, we are a Democratic Party get-your-act-together support group.”

All in all, the article does a fair job of describing our online presence, and what we are fighting for:

The movement has grown on the Internet, where bloggers and readers complain that Clinton was cheated out of the party’s nomination. The Web site for Just Say No Deal links to dozens of other sites criticizing Obama or supporting Clinton.

Some accuse Obama of manipulating party caucuses for extra delegates while others complain that Clinton was the victim of sexist party leaders or was mistreated by the media. Many vent over the way the party divvied up delegates from the Florida and Michigan primaries, two states that were punished for violating national rules and holding their contests early.

They even go so far as to explain how the uncommitted votes of Michigan were given to Obama, although they stop just short of telling their readers of the  4 delegates that were outright stolen from Clinton and given to Obama.  And they forget to mention that this was all done with exit poll models instead of actual votes:

The national party reinstated the delegates in May, but gave each a half vote. And it awarded Obama some Michigan delegates, although he had taken his name off that ballot because of the party’s initial decision.

And as for this breaking news about putting Hillary’s name into nomination, I smell a rat.  Why?  well because the press is making this out to be much ado about nothing.  As if Obama had planned on allowing this to happen all along (although, I don’t know who appointed him emperor of the Democratic Party):

The release said Obama’s campaign encouraged the move to promote party unity, and recognize Clinton’s status as the first woman to compete in every presidential primary.

“I am convinced that honoring Senator Clinton’s historic campaign in this way will help us celebrate this defining moment in our history and bring the party together in a strong united fashion,” said Obama in the statement, which also quoted Clinton saying that “with every voice heard and the Party strongly united, we will elect Senator Obama President of the United States and put our nation on the path to peace and prosperity once again.”

A Democratic source with knowledge of the discussions says that the process was not a negotiation – that both sides came to a mutual decision that the move was the best path.

Typical Obama lies.  Yeah, this is what he wanted all along.  It was Hillary who resisted because she didn’t want to be embarrassed when some of her delegates defected….whatever.   They must think we are morons (actually the reference to her being embarrassed has been removed from the updated version of the story!).  Not only that, they want to make clear that her being a woman is no big deal, its been done before:

If this happens, Clinton will not be the first woman to have her name placed in nomination for president at a major party convention. Maine Senator Margaret Chase Smith was placed in nomination at the 1964 Republican convention, and New York Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm was placed in nomination at the 1972 Democratic convention.

So there!!!  Meanwhile, no details were given of how this would be done.  I suspect the devil is in the details.  We will bring you the latest news as it develops.

  1. You beat me to it Gary, I was just going to write about this!

    I LOVE Pelosi DeVille!

  2. omg sm77, let me pull mine, is yours ready to go??? I just wanted to get on it…you can take the pelosi deville if you want? :)

  3. Gary, great post, as usual. I too, smell bull puckey on this “Clinton name in nomination” ploy. They think we’re stupid. If it was no big deal and the negotiations were so amicable, why were they negotiating in the first place? Why was HRC forced to suspend if everybody knew all along things would turn out this way? If both candidates were going into the convention with their names being put in nomination all along, there’s been no presumptive nominee. They’ve spun themselves and this story around so fast so many times that they can’t even remember where they started.

  4. SM, just go ahead and post yours…

  5. Yeh, Blame it on those New Yorker Women…. Mean ladies, mean ladies…

Oh, by the way how many hits did this blog get over the past two months. Oh yeh, “just” 2,000,000.

Should it be : Mean very very very busy ladies . Hah!

And while you’re at it Nancy, blame the desastrous sale of your book on them too. Isn’t it because those mean ladies are busy blogging against O, that they don’t have time to buy your book?

    Mean, mean ladies…

  6. I love that picture.

  7. Well this will be interesting to see how it plays out. Will they actually let this go to a roll-call vote?

I know one thing…the Georgia/Russia situation is not helping Barky while he golfs away the day. And, saw something on Fox news where some Georgian militia took out their frustrations by turning their guns on the press! That situation is not getting any better and Barky does his vacay and golfs.

  8. I have a feeling that Pelosi is royally pissed off that her book is doing so badly. Which I think is poetic justice. She never wants to acknowledge the historical significance of Hillary’s accomplishments, but expects to have hers acknowledged. I think a lot of the people who might have bought her book under different circumstances just said no deal.

Gary, I think you’re right about the devil being in the details. Heidi Li keeps saying that it can’t be just a roll call vote, her name has to be put into nomination. Our stupid press, who can’t even be bothered to read the democratic party rules, keeps getting that wrong.

  9. That pic! lol!!

  10. gary – I’m going to have to go into therapy now that I have been referred to as “disenchanted” and “ungracious”.

Well, Bill spelled it out correctly – “it’s a fairy tale”. I’ll add, it’s a “fuck*ng fairy tale!”

Hey Nancy, stay tuned for ending to be released in November!

    FULL FLOOR FIGHT!

    PUMA HAKA

  11. Speaking of Pelosi, there was a post on Liberal Rapture yesterday envisioning where she’ll be in November 2010:
And Pelosi, ah Pelosi, A funny Californian will run Toonces the Driving Cat against her as a joke. But with polls showing Toonces up by 30 points with a week to go – she will throw herself off the Golden Gate Bridge. To her surprise, all the plastic surgery will make her buoyant. Pelosi will simply float out into the Pacific, eventually joining a colony of seals in the Aleutians. There she will spend her final days happily barking and fighting with other seals for small fish….

  12. Pelosi DeVille- Brilliant!

As far as the nom bs- Grrrrrrr!

  13. Seems to me that Obama’s campaign just pulled a “Bill Clinton” of the sexist variety. How is pointing out that Jesse Jackson won a couple primaries any different than pointing out that women’s names have been placed in nomination before? If the first is racist;the latter is sexist. ( I would maintain neither is true;just history;though I must say it smacks of a whiny petulance in both cases.)

    Party on,PUMAS;it’s working!

  14. It will be a cold day in hell when the media stops misquoting Bill.

And when the Dems stop accepting their misquotes.

  15. fliedermaus – what do you have against seals?

  16. Yep, we’ve learned it the hard way. When it comes to O, the devil is in the details. ALL THE TIMES. I bet you that was what was being negociated…. Details. crucial details, like notorizing signatures.
Let’s see how he got away with this time around.

  17. Seals are so good hearted, I don’t think they’ll mind having Pelosi there as long as she’s happily barking with them

  18. fliedermaus – let’s make sure we tag her before she jumps. I’m willing to bet they ship her off to parts unknown all alone. Hopefully, there will be some off shore drilling rigs she will have to hang out around for survival. I hope she doesn’t change the fragile eco system in her new homeland with her vile self!

  19. Bottom Line and all MSM/Obama spin aside:

Hillary has always had the power for putting her a name in nomination as she is the one who has to agree and sign the papers to put her name in nomination.

This is (part I realize, but a big part) of what people here have wanted.

Am I right? If so, congratulations!

  20. Be suspicious, very suspicious. Look gift horses in the mouth and make sure you don’t have the donkey’s ass. Pelosi and the Queen Bee syndrome is one of the main reasons that Sen. Clinton may have to wait to be President and we’ll have to deal with four more years of GOPer Rule. PUMA!

  21. Roll call vote!!! Hilary All the Way.

PUMA’s remember Nany Pelosi down the line, when and if she ever dares to run for President. Remember her backstabbing undermining commentary all throughout Hilary’s campaign that speaks of “I want to be the queen bee of the Democratic Party all by myself”!

    http://www.mulloverthis.wordpress.com

  22. We have all been asking ourselves if we are living in La La Land these days as events keep popping up and throwing us sideways into the wall. Having just taken a quick peek at TMs site I now know that down is up, up is down in her little world.

She is giving huge credit for Obama’s graciousness for “allowing” this to happen. His quest for party unity has now been realized. We chickens will come home to roost in November because he has “consented” to this historical event in the best of intentions and we, her supporters will indeed recognize this for what it is.

Am I nuts here! Wasn’t this the same blogger who only as late as May was telling us what a piss poor candidate Obama was and was displaying wary suspicion about his caucus wins and on multiple occasions had referred to him as aloof? Her commentators are up in arms since they feel this is merely His Graciousness concession to us old, bitter, refuse to go along voters who have yet to accept his outright “win”.

You just can’t make this stuff up!

  23. fliedermaus: In defense of all good seals, I would heartily resent that two faced, botoxed, non blinking harpy washing up onto my front door!

  24. Guess you all know that it is official: Hillary’s name will be placed in nomination and a roll call vote taken. Came through the AP about 2 hours ago. It said “they are still working out the details.” Hmmmmm

  25. gary: Love the post and the picture is the icing on the cake!

  26. Nancy Pelosi and gang still have not figured it out.
They broke trust with the base of the democratic party.
Once trust is broken it is never regained.
They will blame everybody but themselves.
They own backtrack barack with all his flaws.
They will lose in November not only the presidency but a lot seats in congress.
If they had any class at all , which they do not the unholy three pelosi, dean , brazille would step down now.
They got their wish they broke the democratic party.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

    PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

  27. Sheri – read upstream. They are going to attempt an electronic roll call with only a tally announced.

    Don’t think so.

  28. Pat Johnson:

You must stay away from TM for your own sanity. She long ago stepped thru the looking glass.

I am going to Denver. I can’t wait.

    PUMA

  29. Thank you Carol. I knew there had to be a glitch. What is “upstream?” I want to read it.

  30. OMG!

A Georgian TV correspondent was just shot in the arm live while she was broadcasting.

  31. Thanks for picking apart that article and putting it out there. I was peeved at the article when I read it on yahoo as it implies we are wanting to start trouble. The whole article is very insinuating and negative. It’s not accurate as most of the articles these days are half truths and storied lies.
What’s the point in insinuating we are sore losers and a very small group. What part of 18 million people “DO NOT WANT OBAMA” do they not understand?
The convention will have lots of parties and we are used to making lemons out of lemonade. NOW will have a large party with free entrance into the convention. This will be on Monday and it’s a party for Suffragettes. Go to their website to check it out. and to register

The writer of this article insinuated that the bloggers are going to be there to start trouble. Well if they knew the bloggers are there to keep the millions of PUMAS connected, who couldn’t attend the convention, they’d have at least displayed some cognitive powers that are, up to now absent! i hope everyone stops into the PUMA hall and says hi. There will be some prominent figures in town on their own and they are independently against Fraudbama.
Those many PUMAS who are left behind and unable to attend will be watching and listening closely. The November outcome depends on if this convention is handled with Democracy or Authoritarianism. Really, they need to blame themselves with what is going down. Pelosi and her gang need to take full responsibility for the current state of affars. Pelosi is going down. Kerry is going down. Wexler is being impeached. Dowd is being challenged to lose his seat. There’s more.

I read this morning on yahoo that Pelosi’s approval rating is 4%! So the 9% mentioned in this thread has taken a nose dive before your very eyes!
    Nan’s ratings- 4%
Hills ratings -more votes ever in the history of America.
Small wonder Nan is feeling insecure. Stupid is as Stupid does. They have Nan to blame! Blame Nancy Nincumpoop. She needs to be accountable for this terrible DNC mess and illegitimate presumptuous nominee fraudbama. It’s Pelosi’s fault!

  32. So if Margaret Chase Smith and Shirley Chisholm could get their names in nomination…what would be the reason to deny it to Hillary?

  33. mlhath: I cannot tell you how much I envy your going to Denver. You will become a tremendous witness in partaking of democracy at its finest. If I had the means I would be there as well. But many of us will be there with you riding in that mile high adventure!

  34. Sheri, sorry. It is on the other thread. I reported earlier that Fox says they are going to try to do an electronic vote instead of the regular “show” state to state. And, only tell us what the results were.

The want to downplay the event. No celebration for Hillary.

  35. what would be the reason to deny it to Hillary?

    Hillary got too many votes.

  36. Hillary won and that upsets their apple cart!

I want to see that cart burned! Anyone got a match?

  37. Hillary Clinton is a smart, ambitious woman, and I have no doubt that she can be a bitch when the situation warrants. But Nancy Pelosi is a natural bitch, and she oozes superiority and condescension every time she opens her mouth. What is that quote? Something like: “It’s better to be quiet and let everybody think you’re an idiot than to open your mouth and confirm it.”?

  38. instead of the regular “show” state to state

No roll call of the states? What kind of convention is this anyway?

  39. “No celebration for Hillary.” Yeah Poopelosi is jealous.
May the warth of God be swift and permanent on those who wish to subvert Democracy and sell off America..Pelosi nincumpoop…….book not selling and approval ratngs at nearly zero…That’s just a start to her problems.

  40. cdo–because Hillary would win! I just got an email that Murphy and Will and Diane (I think)are going to be on HARDBALL tonight!!!!!! we are being sucked into the belly of the beast.

I think I see what’s going on. they put out a fake olive branch and then bring them on and pull the old, so why won’t you support him now? he did what you want. I hope they’re ready for it.

  41. My husband said it yesterday and I realize now that it is SO true: Pelosi doesn’t want Clinton to be a president because she’s currently the most powerful woman in Congress. Letting Clinton become president would take that power away from her and she’s NOT going to allow that to happen. Pelosi — out of everyone in Congress — is the most publicly sexist politican.

  42. Great post garychapelhill. I held Mawm’s poster at the NH Unity event. Keep up the good work!

  43. Good grief, if the DNC thinks patting the little lady on the back & handing her a plaque for ‘all the hard work you’ve done for us’ while giving the CEO position to the dumba@@ nephew of the CFO is going to satisfy us, they are dumber than I thought. We don’t need some nice words & a plaque, we need someone who can run the damn country.

And WTH is it the decision of The One whether she gets a pat on the back or a real floor fight? Is this a national convention for POTUS nomination or a damn spa, where they laser out any imperfections to a perfect show? This ain’t no game, what happens in Denver affects the the future of our world, it has nothing to do with the vanity of some little piss ant.

  44. You got me with the title!

  45. Denying Hillary is because they went so far out on a limb to ensure that this nobody got the nomination and never counted on us. They felt pretty confident that after 8 years of Bush they could have shoved a convicted felon down our throats and we would have acquiesced! But not so fast.

The tactics and strong arming got through to us and we announced, loud and clear, No F**king Way! Try as they might to reduce us to a handful of discontents those multiple phone calls, thousands of e-mails, the banding together of like minded PUMAs, made their “unity” message hardly more than a generic brand of toilet paper. They were unable to stave off the flood or protests and pretend it was not happening.

First clue for us were those “cages” in Denver. You do not spend money where it is not needed. They knew the protest was coming. Now how to assuage?

I may be wrong, but they could also be hearing grumblings from the supers and those downticket candidates who may be discovering “buyers remorse”. His shaky solution to the Russia/Georgia invasion may be causing some of them to seriously consider what this lightweight is all about.

  46. GREAT POST!!

My guess is that the only reason they are now putting Senator Clinton’s name in nomination is because for the last two months the Obama campaign and DNC have been purching delegates all over the country. They have been intimidating pledged delegates and superdelegates to the point where they feel confident that there won’t be enough delegates left who are willing to vote for Senator Clinton. This is the only way they would let her name be put in nomination and indeed that rat stinks!.

The PUMA movement has to crush these guys. The whole bit about Pelosi investing and benefitting from high gas prices needs to be put in a commercial by Cindy Sheehan for the upcoming primary. California has some of the highest gas prices in the country. This should piss off a lot of people in California. Nancy Pelosi is not a good democrat!!!

  47. Oh and stumble BTW.

  48. actually I think pelosi is a lot like obama. she’s from old school baltimore politics and she knows the “chicago rules” she just doesn’t care about the little people, you know, voters.

  49. “So if Margaret Chase Smith and Shirley Chisholm could get their names in nomination…what would be the reason to deny it to Hillary?”

NOW THAT’S A GOOD EMAIL QUESTION FOR DEAN….

“Murphy and Will and Diane (I think)are going to be on HARDBALL tonight!!!!!! we are being sucked into the belly of the beast.”
    GOOD LUCK!
MAYBE ONE OF THESE DAYS THEY’LL GET CHRISTY BACK ON AND SHE’LL BLOW THEIR MIND.

  50. Ha!Ha!Ha! Pelosi with her 9% and dead last in the sales book is wagging her finger at Bill Clinton? and us?
This was a sweet read – thanks so much for this!
One more thing – about B0 taling credit – it’s too bad he told CBS the opposite 2 days ago:
    http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/08/12/delegates-buyers-remorse/

  51. I just heard that in Florida some of Hillary’s delegates who can’t afford to go to the convention are being replaced by Obama delegates contrary to all Florida Dem Party rules!!! anybody in Florida know anything abou this????

  52. My understanding is that Nasty Nancy is pretty much entrenched as a shoe in for the seat since her constituency consists of many well to do San Franciscans who donate to her war chest. But anyone with half a brain would reconsider sending her back to congress with an approval rating of a mere 9%. Even Dagwood Bush enjoys a higher standing in the polls then this fool.

I hope and trust the citizens of that congressional district get behind Cindy Sheehan just for the sake of waving good bye to Lady MacBeth.

  53. DO YOU REALLY THINK ANYONE WILL GET INSIDE OF THOSE CAGES AND PROTEST?
Naw Naw Naw..leave them empty! I think they look like temporary holding pens for people they are going to be arresting.

  54. “I just heard that in Florida some of Hillary’s delegates who can’t afford to go to the convention are being replaced by Obama delegates contrary to all Florida Dem Party rules!!! anybody in Florida know anything abou this?”

Oh I’m sick to my stomach again. Isn’t there a fund raiser for them to attend?

  55. Soldiers are shooting reporters in Georgia? Do the soldiers bear any resemblance to PUMAs? Do you see Keith or Roland Martin in any of the pictures?

Yeah, I know, that was ungracious of me.

  56. Will Bower will be on Hardball today….
Tonight! PUMA/Just Say NO DEAL will be on HARDBALL on MSNBC at 7pm EST (8/14)

Oh, this should be interesting…a chat with Chris Mathews!

  57. Gary, I don’t know details but heard that might be case in other places too, thus my question earlier as to how to find out who and how to help.

  58. How can an Obama delegate take the place of a Hillary delegate simply because that person is unable financially to attend? Can’t they just replace they Hillary delegate with another who can afford to attend? Who makes these rules? If that is the case, why not just “kidnap” all those Hillary delegates and automatically replace them with Obama supporters? This makes no sense to me.

  59. The “Bush” clip is PERFECT!!!

  60. I’d rather caddy Obama’s golf bag than to spend 1 hour with Chris Matthews. Sorry, but that is the truth.

  61. please don’t be angry because I resent the language of these reports as much as anyone and agree that B0 must think he has enough delegates sewn up. I don’t like the secret ballot but is it possible that it would be easier for Hillary supporter under pressure and those that are having “buyers remorse” to vote electronically? Just asking

  62. Pat,it is my understanding it is done at State Party level but am not an expert

  63. Phala: Electronic balloting can be manipulated. We have been observing much of that across the country in other races. .

  64. Gary – forgot to say, great post – and the picture is AMAZING! Purrrrrfect!

This is just step one, guys. Eyes on the prize – Hillary 08!

  65. Guess I was hoping Hillary was insisting on a paper trail like she has been working for.

  66. Saw this over at NQ. Guess Barry is putting his stamp on the convention:

” Jesse Jackson is still paying for his “nutty” remark on television. The Hill has a story saying Jackson will not likely be speaking at the Democratic convention.

As an aside, a Jackson friend also said Al Sharpton would not speak. No offense, but ya think? AA speakers more likely to appear include Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty and Congressman James Clyburn.

But apparently NOT House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel. According to Politico, Rangel is on the naughty list for daring to support his fellow NY delegation member, Hillary.

The Obama campaign is denying House Ways and Means Chairman Charles B. Rangel a speaking role at this month’s Democratic National Convention — a move those close to the powerhouse Harlem congressman view as a spiteful snub.

Rangel surrogates approached Obama staffers this week about the possibility of securing him a slot at the podium, making the case that it would showcase reconciliation between the nominee and Hillary Rodham Clinton’s African-American supporters.

But they were told that the 78-year-old congressman’s support for Clinton earned him a place at the end of the line behind Barack Obama’s loyalists — even if Rangel played a crucial part in prodding Clinton to abandon her presidential bid in June.

  67. Nancy Pelosi Kiss My Ass is right, but NPKMA isn’t as catchy a name as PUMA

  68. gary: most of Hillary’s delegated were told to become Obama delegates or be replaced. That occurred at the convention here in Broward Co. courtesy of our Party chair, Karen Thurman. They have long seince been coopted.

  69. Don’t delegates warrant vouchers? Why would they have become delegates if they thought they couldn’t afford to attend the convention where they were to do their work?

  70. Actually, a tally might be better than a roll call vote. That would give some cover to those of Barky’s delegates who are suffering from buyer’s remorse.

  71. hat: i think that you will find that these are de;egates who refused to shed allegiences and were replaced.

  72. Pat – you are giving Nancy too much credit! She is at 4%.

  73. madamab, I think there is something behind his long vacation prior to convention especially with foreign events–of course, could still be his arrogance

  74. Okay – there is a high speed chase going on in Houston. Has anyone seen regencyg – Did you grab Bill and take off?

  75. Imagine a New York congressman having the nerve to support his state’s Senator in the primaries.

  76. The convention is supposed to be the 4-year gathering of Democrats, not the coronation of the nominee.

That is any nominee, not just this year’s.

Jesse Jackson deserves a prominent place, which includes a speaking role.

The convention should showcase rising stars, and pay homage to elder statesmen and stateswomen in the party.

  77. What a pity as to how Charlie Rangle is being treated. He is an old Party loyalist who deserves better than this.

  78. Thanks for another great post gary. And I just read your Florida delegate tidbit. Do these folks think we’re all stupid? They must take us for the Obots that believe anything told to them.

The convention will not be real; it’s all choreographed for the O.

They’re really pushing us towards McCain. I am still leading Indie or Green, but if this shit falls out the way I’m now seeing it, I might have to do it. I just might have to pull an (R) lever. Christ, what have we become?

  79. Pat Johnson, on August 14th, 2008 at 2:28 pm
….Who makes these rules? If that is the case, why not just “kidnap” all those Hillary delegates and automatically replace them with Obama supporters? …

I’m sure they thought of that too and will try it! Barry tried to purge even his own elected delegates with better, truer Barry believers in Fla and CA months ago . Who knows who is showing up as delegates ? Actual Hill delegates will have to watch their back every minute . We must stop thinking they will ever be decent …..I know PUMA’s already have!

  80. So, just for the sake of an argument, if I break my leg, have a family emergency, my house burns down and I am unable to get to Denver as a Hillary delegate I am faced with conceding my earned Hillary vote to an Obama delegate instead? I just don’t understand the reasoning here? Shouldn’t I be replaced by a stand- by Hillary delegate?

  81. Fredster, don’t see Rangel taking that too well. He knows how to fight

  82. Rewarding Clyburn — and not allowing Jackson and Rangel to speak — is especially nauseating.

  83. Tsktsk: bThey have been replaced by Obama delegates since June. I think the “can’t afford to go” means “won’t vote for Obama”/

  84. Pat: The Hillary delegates were told in June to become Obama delegates or get out of the way.

  85. I heard on CNN today that rather than the old style roll call vote, at this year’s Democrat * Convention, the votes will be cast electronically and the winner will be announced.

    * There’s nothing democratic about it.

  86. I think that’s the rat we all smell.

  87. That’s the first I’ve heard that a political convention will eliminate the states.

After he did everything he could to game their primaries and caucuses.

  88. If Hillary won 100 votes in CA should she not expect to receive 100 votes at the convention on the first ballot at least!

And what is the purpose and the strategy of keeping Jesse Jackson and Charlie Rangel off the podium? They each have major constituencies that could easily be offended by this latest tactic. Yet Michelle and her idiot brother are to be allowed to speak. Tell me how “great” this will be accepted by the public watching at home. Not!

They must be so sure of capturing the AA vote that they can dismiss two major contributors to the civil rights movement in Jackson and Rangel. The hubris is piling up!

  89. ConLawDean, there is no excuse for you.

  90. Ooops! It’s been fixed, so please disregard last post.

  91. But they were told that the 78-year-old congressman’s support for Clinton earned him a place at the end of the line behind Barack Obama’s loyalists — even if Rangel played a crucial part in prodding Clinton to abandon her presidential bid in June.

Cry me a river ….actully he stuck by Hill alot longer than others….but Super D’s have to understand : Barry is about pay back. These Super D’s were spoiled by the Clintons. They think you can stab someone in the back and they will still be welcoming. No Charlie that was the Clinton’s , this is Barry . If you don’t goose step fast enough down the line , you get shut out by Barry.

  92. did anyone else see dakinikat’s post on previous thread that some state attorney generals are going to question B0’s citizenship but no cites or specific states yet

  93. conlaw thanks for stopping by :)

  94. Pat: Apparently Jesse and Charlie are way too Old Coalition for their own good. On the other hand, Michelle’s brother ( I believe is a basketball coach) will bring us to the path of true enlightenment.

There she will spend her final days happily barking and fighting with other seals for small fish….”

The poor seals! I prefer to think she would drift out and anchor one of those humungous floating garbage islands. Much more fitting IMHO

  96. Pat, under the bus is getting crowded. they either need a convoy or a train

  97. ConLawDean: I am sure that this screen name is supposed to imply that you are a dean of constitutional law? If so, I would suggest you return to your lawbooks and review the constitution. What exists on this blog are people who value the constitution above all. Nancy Pelosi does not.

I would prefer you used a screen name more in sync with your actual reality: iamanidiot.

  98. its sad when people are so filled with hate.

  99. Pelosi DeVille love it! I have been calling her cruella for the longest! As for the cages, perhaps after the Floor Fight and Hillary wins the nom….they can be used for the out of control obots!!!!

  100. Imagine a New York congressman having the nerve to support his state’s Senator in the primaries.

    I know! What nerve! :o

  101. Will B.O.’s election entail our having to accept the grammar of Ebonics, e.g., “hate on her”? Sadly, B.O.’s invariable substitution of “ta” for “to” is already becoming widespread….

  102. Guys- Go tell Pelosi what you think of her. Google Pelosi Speaker and you will get that web page. She does not take comments from non-constituents on her House page. Make sure that she hears from us and begins to understand that she has created a mess that will destroy the Democratic Party.

  103. Make room for Kilpatrick under that bus. He’s not invited to Denver, along with Jesse and Al and Rangel.

  104. the votes will be cast electronically

That sentence would make ANY Dem flinch ….

  105. I wish I were surprised by how they’re treating Rangel. But as we know, you’re either with Obama or against him.

  106. chatblu, on August 14th, 2008 at 2:37 pm Said:

I see it as karma. This is what Rangel had to say about Hillary before and after she suspended

“Unless she has some good reasons — which I can’t think of — I really think we ought to get on with” endorsing Obama, he told ABC News yesterday afternoon.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/10886.html

  107. Nagel must be setting up the electronic machines.
He’s in cahoots with Obama and Diebold.

  108. meileen: He may be in jail by the time Denver rolls around. Besides, how can they accommodate his wife, staff assistant , and girlfriends all under one roof?

  109. One day we’re Republicans, another day we’re paranoid shrieking holdouts, then we’re just 2-3 crazies.

If any of that is true, (it’s not) then why do so many Obamanation trolls spend so much time arguing with us?

  110. just a reminder to trolls….dummy emails will get you immediately banned . carry on :)

  111. I think ConLawDean is Christina, our lovely cyberstalkress.

Hi Christina! How’s everything at Bellevue? Still allowing you Internet access?

  112. Oh god, I know, I know I shouldn’t feed the trolls, but they must think we are as ignorant as they:

“So RD what now? All your demands have been met. All your claims debunked, and now you have Right Wing agitprop on your front page, and authoritarian males berating strong women posting on that same front page.
Is there a point when even you get a little sick to your stomach reading this horse crap?”

Our ‘demands’ have not been met. We will not be bamboozled by the line fed to us today about Hillary in nomination. We know a trojan horse when we see one.

Shoo fly! Go back to Huffypoo.

  113. Yes Karma to Rangel! The hand of God’s wrath will be swift for those who try to stop God’s soldier-Senator Hillary Clinton!

  114. GCH is a right-winger?

I must be a communist then

  115. looks like I’m in moderation. Eventually my post will show up with the link to the front page of aol where there’s a prominent PUMA story.

  116. they’re the ones that aren’t cool enough to hang with the “cool kidz”, not smart enough to hang with the smart kids, but desperately want to fit in….so they come and try to bully the samrt kids….so the coll kidz will like them….elementary child psych he he….

  117. Clearly the Soetorians are very upset. Troll activity is back up. A Clinton nomination is a long shot, but now a possibility. Certain things are out of Soetoro’s hands, whether he likes it or not. Naughty Nazi Nancy? Quite frankly, I don’t think she exists.

  118. Gary:

“Dummy” is the only kind of email that’s appropriate for them

  119. We’re actually exotics! You know, “those people”. We are ungracious and unnecessary. We are bitter, sullen, old, mean and ra*cist. Who wouldn’t want to take a closer look at our dying breed? The only difference is we throw the popcorn and peanuts back at them.

  120. #Phala in NC, on August 14th, 2008 at 2:38 pm Said:

Fredster, don’t see Rangel taking that too well. He knows how to fight

There’s a reason those old pols are old pols. They know how to survive. Charlie is chairman of Ways and Means? There’s a lot of legislation that moves through that committee and the chairman can stall it if he wants. If Barky wants to be an ass, well, payback is a bitch!

  121. Botoxic Pelosi really does remind of Cruella Deville. Everyone should donate to Cindy Sheehan. It would be great to see this witch out of politics. She can join John Edwards and soon Barack Obama and Howard Dean. The entire Democratic Party needs new leadership.

Oh, and I totally agree that after the convention we should throw our support behind McCain. I don’t agree with his politics but this is about overthrowing these a**holes and taking back our party even if it means another 4 years of a Republican White House.

  122. I spotted gary as a right winger when he became a soldier in the John Birch Society. Mawm took pictures.

  123. I want something like what happened in one of the last scenes of Dead Poets Society to happen at the convention. Hillary’s delegates stand up one by one and declare their vote for her and which state they represent.

  124. Is the electronic voting secret?? I want to know how sd and delegates vote, but at the same time if they can vote secretly, maybe they will be more able to go against the DNC goons.

  125. DownListen: Me too! That scene always made me puddle up big time.

By the way, conlawdean is not Christina. He/she/whatever used the word agriprop in the sentence. Christina would be asking what flavor they come in, cherry or lime.

  126. Communistic Republican Roll Call – please acknowledge your existance -

Aye! (Barry, that would be the opposite of Nay!

Okay, now that I have been outted, do I get a party hat?

  127. PJ – HAHAHAHAHA! John Birch Society indeed. And I bow to your superior knowledge of our cyberstalkstress.

Downlisten – “Oh Captain, my captain!” (sobbing)

  128. Gary – are you on for tonight’s play?

  129. COUNT US OUT says THANK YOU
COUNT US OUT would like to extend our congratulations and

sincerest thanks to all PUMAs and NObama Network folks:

    Democrats, Independents, Republicans and everyone

whose emails, petitions, certified letters, protests, phone

calls, advertisements, radio shows, blogs, investigative work,

etc. have led to Hillary’s name being placed in nomination at

    the Democratic National Convention.

This advancement of the democratic process should have been

automatic but, without your tireless efforts, it wouldn’t have

    become a reality.

keep fighting the fight worth fighting

    Again, we THANK YOU ALL.

  130. Oh well, gotta run for awhile. Chloe the attack mini-doxie has to go to the vet. She has a boo-boo on her foot. She keeps licking it and it’s getting worse. Plus, have to take the momster to the podiatrist for her foot tomorrow so Chloe will get to spend the weekend with the other puppers at the vets. I can only take one of them hobbling around at one time.

Although…Chloe is easier to work with so maybe… NAH!

  131. Question: waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the dark ages when I was in high school, I seem to remember learning that if any delegate suspects bloc voting or any voting impropriety, they have the right to call for each delegate to be polled publicly. Was I hallucinating this?

  132. I just found this site. I’m another who can’t quite bring myself to vote for the One (I’m not of The Movement, I guess), assuming He wins the nomination.

Not that I’ll vote for that ratbag McCain, either.

  133. AN I THE ONLY ONE who feels a wave of nausea whenever B.O. says “ta” when he means to say “to”?—which is every single time! Is there any way he can be asked to try to correct this speech impediment prior to the Convention?

  134. mad – sorry Gary is leading the Convention Platform for the Communistic Republican party this evening. They are trying to interview choreographers from the Chinese Olympic’s Committee and the North Korean Military so all of their supporters are in step at the convention (not unlike what Barry’s team is doing for the Dems).

  135. Huff Po is running a group of pictures of The One on vacation with his family. The comments are putrid with love! “Can’t wait until he is in office!” “He looks so rested and serene!” And on and on and on. You would think this was another copy of Teen Beat where they all go ga ga over John Mayer. The element of support for this guy is strictly for the age group between 18 and 27.

Can’t picture too many of us over the age of 30 squealing with delight over any other candidate. Totally juvenile.

  136. Carol – LOL, Comrade! ;-)

Kittens – I’m in your shoes right now. So far, I can’t bring myself to imagine pulling the lever for McCain. But I will never vote Obama.

  137. Now, let’s be fair. All the delegates had to do was take the tests: Worship-The-One-o-Meter and Hate-the-Clintons-o-Meter.

Sadly, Rangel failed both, while Michelle’s Bros Before Hos joyfully passed off the charts. In the Bros case, I think he actually got extra points for Hate-the-White-Bitch.

Yeah, I know, that was ungracious of me.

  138. I would like to amend that Carol and I may be the exception to the over 30 group.

  139. This is off the site of the NPR show , To The Point

Barack Obama has agreed to let Hillary Clinton be nominated at the Democratic convention, complete with a roll call of states and a parade on the floor. It’s billed as a “symbolic” gesture, but it raises questions about who’s really running the show.

    Gag….where to start ? A parade?

  140. Gary, I LOVE the All About Eve clip!

  141. Barack Obama has agreed to let Hillary Clinton be nominated at the Democratic convention

Such graciousness. He’s going to “let” her. Can you imagine if the tables were turned?

  142. thats the part I’m worried about… not getting too excited because I’ve seen the word “symbolic” tossed around in every report…. isn’t being nominated and being a part of the roll call TWO different things??? am I missing something??? I want to be excited about this but it seems off….

  143. Me too, I am way distrustful. Just as I am sickened by the portrayal of this as an act of extraordinary graciousness on The One’s part rather than the way it has always been done with none of this ridiculous hand-wringing. If it were anyone but Clinton this wouldn’t even be up for discussion, it would just happen, but BO never lets one opportunity to be a dickhead pass him by, and his followers never see anything he does in its true light.

This reminds me of a poster at digby’s who was furious that Clinton protested the MI/Fl allocation; according to that jerkoff, Obama was being “gracious” and Hillary should have been “grateful” that she was “allowed” any delegates at all. I know, what can you say? These people are so divorced from anything resembling reality that it’s a wonder they can feed themselves.

  144. Another great post, Gary. Hilarious. Nancy “All options are on the table but impeachment” thinks we’re ungracious? My goodness. Keep those knees pressed together, Ladies! Mind your manners. Ms. Pelosi will let you know if your vote makes it to her table.

  145. I don’t know who to direct this to but, the PUMA’S that get to go on TV should make sure they tell the story about Obama purging Hillary’s delegates.Especially,in Fl.

  146. PDGrey: I’ll write and let him know. Do you have a link I can show him?

  147. [...] But for more fun, make sure you check what Nancy off the table Pelosi has been saying recently [...]

  148. This is basically Negotiations 101. You take away something that is already belonging to the other side, already rightfully theirs, already basic, fundamental, not even under question from the other side, and then after they’re done being surprised and shocked and reacting, you ‘graciously’ give it back to them. Then they feel they’ve won a victory. The bigger questions to be discussed remain unanswered, and everyone walks away feeling they’ve ‘won’ some small victory when you’ve given nothing away.

    Ta-da.

  149. I’m in Nancy’s district . She’s finally lost my vote.

  150. My prediction is that Hillary will be offered and will accept the vice presidential nomination. The announcement that President Bill Clinton will speak on Wed. night leads me to believe he will introduce the VP ‘nominee’ and that SHE will be Hillary.

I’m not saying I like the idea, but it is my guess that is what the ‘deliberations’ have wrought. I suspect that even Axelrod has realized that Obama doesn’t have any chance to win without the Clintons.

I am going to Denver to bear witness to the travesty of justice that has gone on (and continues to go on) within the Democratic Party.
How sad it all makes me!

  151. Isn’t it time for Pelosi to be recalled. I know so many of us are really tired of her. She is absolutely worthless. How do we recall the hag?

  152. [...] Nancy 9 percent Pelosi is outraged at us “I think Hillary Clinton has been very gracious,” Pelosi said on KGO radio. “I think some of her supporters have been less than gracious.” [...]

  153. A view less on Pelosi, more on CNN’s annoucement that Hillary’s name will be in Nomination in Denver this month…….

Senator Obama and the leadership of the DNC may be getting into a mood of desperation on the present situation in the election, but there is little they can do about it…..however as just announced this evening there is going to be two candidates for nomination at the Convention……….this must not be a charade or fixed for a winner.

They may “threaten” Senator Clinton and keep a tight rein on her in every way, but it is the will of the people in the end, who will have their own way and do what they want with their votes….
Senator Obama can control many things, but he has no control on Voting Power……

The leadership of the Democratic National Committee, aided and abetted by Senator Obama showed nothing but contempt for the ordinary Democratic voter in their actions in recent months.

The shoe is now on the other foot and it is likely that many voters will show utter contempt towards the DNC and their nominee, ignoring their calls for unity and refusing to vote for Senator Obama.

As a non-voter, if I had been subject to all the actions of the DNC, I know what my reaction would be in the fall……….
The Vote belongs to the Voter and they will use it in November, as they see fit…..

One further point, there has been much speculation about the V.P. post for Senator Clinton….if I was asked, I would say she should refuse it…it would be Political suicide for her…
She would never become President of the United States for several reasons.

The “election” in Denver must be fair to both candidates, the delegates who were “purchased” and crossed over to endorse Senator Obama must vote according to the states they represent and should not have endorsed anyone but the winner of those states…… Senator Obama does not want the vote to be cathartic
and has said this himself…………The Super Delegates must weigh up in their own minds who is the best candidate who can beat the
Republicans in Nov.. they must decide themselves without deals or
pressures…….. and if pressures and further clandestine meetings and underhand methods are used and come into the public domain after Denver……..then it will be a blitzkrieg in November.

    Good fortune, Senex, Ireland

  154. Who says we want to be gracious? Pelosi can kiss my little butt.

    Mountain Sage

  155. Silly Women! See you at the convention!

  156. Ahaha. THIS was great! Nancy– guess we can now call her, “Nine-Percent Nancy”; HOW does one even GET A NINE-percent approval rating? That’s hilarious. And, to know that this is coming off of Cindy’s bid for Nancy’s chair makes me even happier! No worries, Cindy, Nanc may be there but she’s ONLY keeping the seat warm for you…

  157. Oh btw: yeah, perahps I am ungracious– but I surely am not as UNPOPULAR AS Nancy! ahaha. Yeah, I’m still rolling here– and my stomache hurts from laughing a the “woman”..

  158. Hey– Texas Puma site back down??? I just got internal error..

I have been thinking the same thing, naoko!

  160. Yes I’ve had that horrible feeling too- Hill forced to be VP.

  161. Well, that at least would be better than a smack in the head with a two-by-four.

  162. If she is, they’ll win.

And she’ll overshadow him for his entire presidency.

Have you seen the cartoon where Obama is a little guy trembling in Hillary’s huge shadow?

    Very apt.

  163. Channeling Betty my mom’s fav DNC!

    “What a dump!!”

    GO CINDY SHEEHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    hugs!
    & xxoo!

  164. “…because the press is making this out to be much ado about nothing. As if Obama had planned on allowing this to happen all along….” Of COURSE that’s what Obama is doing. That’s what Obama always does. That’s what he did all through the campaign — he came in with no ideas, he agreed with everything clinton said, then he imitated everything she said. After his trip to Europe he said, “John McCain goaded us into going, but what he doesn’t know is that we were planning to go anyway, before he suggested it.” Give me a break! The man is small change.
