I’m sure many of you were listening to the fascinating radio show last night on NO WE WON’T/PUMA RADIO I have two clips that I want to share with everyone. First is the action alert. Paul from Friends of Hillary told everyone how to write letters to get Donna Brazile stripped of her Superdelegate status. First the clip, then the instructions:
In Case you missed it here’s what you have to do:
1) Write a certified/return receipt requested letter to the DNC demanding a meeting of the RBC conference to strip Donna Brazile of her Super Delegate status.
2) Have the letter notarized
3) Send to this address:
Democratic National Committee
Credentials Committee
Attention: Alexis Herman
430 S. Capitol St. SE, 2nd Floor
Washington, DC 20003
Another interesting part of the show was the caller from Michigan who describes what it was like to have her vote literally stolen by Barack Obama. Take a listen:
If you want to listen to Paul’s whole call, go to the link above and play taggles’ whole show. Paul comes on around the 1 hour mark.

Could Paris be a PUMA ?
She is not too crazy about Obama or Mc Cain.
Ready to lead and a pink white house…
Could it be the sound of a puma howl ?
Gary, thanks for posting the info.
That was a GREAT broadcast! Paul was rich!
That was a great show. I was so excited listen to every word of the caller.
Gary, exactly what reasons would one cite for asking for Donna B to be removed as a super d? Her CNN appearances, her nasty email replies?
My favorite would be to paraphrase what Dean Wormer said in Animal House: “Son, being fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life.”
Holy Cow! This election is so screwed up they need to remove those MI votes from BHO’s column. What a mess.
Oh and add Levin to the unseated column. How many is that now?
[...] a candidate whose biggest asset seems to be his race. As it stands people are now committed to ousting those they feel are responsible for perpetrating a fraud, cheifly Donna Brazile, who promised to resign if super delegates determined the outcome of the primaries, as it appears [...]
I keep thinking about Hillary’s bowling analogy “I’ll spot him two frames.”
And really, it’s a pretty on-the-nose metaphor for what happened – imagine a bowling game where 2 frames are taken away from Hillary – no matter how many strikes or spares she bowls, she’ll never be able to catch up.
And worse is the perception – the appearance is that she can’t win because “the math is against her.”
If the DNC had just penalized the states by half immediately instead of waiting until the acrimonious end, she would’ve had two more states in her winning column early on – perceptions would have been different.
Can we have a letter to remove Howard Dean from the Superdelegates status as well?
Charles: Thanks for fixing my bad html on your site. I added a further comment about Mary Landrieu and also Charlie Melancon, our LA 3rd district congressman.
Regards,
Jim
I have a weekend project -about the “Letters for Donna Brazile” campaign I like the sound it has so posiive like we are doing her a favor! We really are once removed from her super-delegate status Donna can devote all her time to driving the Obama bus off a cliff!
fuzzybeargville-wishing everyone a good morning
Good Morning FuzzyBear! I don’t know if you saw my comment last night. I hope you know how much I appreciate your evening prayer/meditation. It’s become a soothing feature of my evening. And it was especially nice to see myself mentioned by you last night. The effect was amazing; it lifted a weight right off my shoulders.
Thank you.
xxoo
could we have a template for our “Letters for Donna” to the credentials committee It would help.

G. Morning. It seems that O’s plan to advertise at the pump will not fly. Darn it.
You see, unlike PUMAs, O’s doesn’t have the full support of the advertisement industry….
Hi Upstate! Good morning to you too. I think I must need a little more coffee though. I don’t understand your comment…
Fuzzy bear,
“once removed from her super-delegate status Donna can devote all her time to driving the Obama bus off a cliff!”
Thank you for starting my day with a laugh! And I love your nightly meditations too. I read last night’s and it made me feel a lot better even though I couldn’t work up the energy to comment. I just have to get through one more day and then I can collapse. I can’t wait to have time to post again too.
Good morning Katiebird!
Hi UpstateNY!
{{BostonBoomer}} !!
Not that I’m actually looking forward to your collapse but, I AM looking forward to having you post more. AND your comments.
And a simple youtube video to accompany the Action Item:
Good morning, hello everyone.
Bostonboomer hang in there. I think everyone is being pushed to the limit right now. I feel it signifies something wonderful is going to happen.
But hopefully to in a Hal, 2001 sort of way.
fuzzy, your nightly prayers are beautiful, and inspire PUMA unity. Is that an oxymoron?
Hi BB, Kbird!
I just read this morning (Yahoo news) that O was planning to advertise at gas stations so customers could get his message on energy policy while paying $4.00 a gallon.
It would seem some gas stations advertise in their pump screens. The company that runs those screens has decided they will not be running O’s ads after all.
For someone who is totally grassroots and does not get his marching orders from Manhattan, O is truly attuned to the whole marketing of products/labels thingy.
That is all.
Oh, and someone explain to me, please, how XXOO became hugs and kisses….
Muchas gracias.
Mornin’ PUMAs!
geeklove: Excellent video. Nails the point, injects humor, calls to action. Have you ever considered doing instructional video?

Hal 2001 rather than Hal 2000!
hapy happy about sci-fi references!
What is the rest of the story on Alexis Herman’s father?
[...] For other important actions resulting fron the same show, check Gary’s post at the Confluence [...]
I’m listening to a rebroadcast (it’s like 5 a.m. here). I want to say that Riverdaughter has a very pretty voice, most pleasant to hear. I get a great kick out of Will Bower too– comes across as so affable and even tempered, even under war conditions.
What I found really compelling, though, was the Michigan caller, Katie, who talked about her vote being stolen by the Democratic Party. How sad.
I feel another poem coming…
Wife things that O should team up with McDonalds and have action figures of himself included with their Happy Meals… Maybe, H and Bill could be the archenemies and O’s helpers could be Pelosi, Donna and Dean….
Oh, I guess they could also have McCain somewhere, in the arch-villain team.
Upstate, O can’t team up with McDs now. They’re come out as pro gay and the Big O threw us under the bus long ago.
one sleepy eye pokin’ open here on the West Coast…. flipped on Morning Joe and Chuck Todd was going on about how tricky and evil the Clintons are relevant to Hillary putting her name into nomination… in was incomprehensible…
apparently a full roll call vote is just too boring from a tv standpoint…. I really don’t know what his point was…
The party in which so many once hoped,
Used you, abused you, and interloped.
To foster democracy its alleged role–
Your vote it took wrongfully– some say, it stole.
The heart of a patriot, inside, says: cry
As the Republic seems to totter and die
Although the believer continues to pray
That we may not even yet see the day.
Sunday’s Confluence/PUMA roll call: 658 posts and still growing!
Hey Chucky, we are everywhere!!
stop the presses! democracy breaks out at dem convention!!
mrs campskunk says the morning talking heads on MSNBC and Fox are all atwitter that “she’s not giving up” – that there actually might be a roll call vote- at a DEMOCRATIC convention, no less! can you imagine????
this isn’t as much “news” as the realization that they have been had by last Friday’s NY Daily News and Howard Fucking Fineman stories.
OldCoastie
The media should be all for this because they’ve treated the whole process as nothing but pure entertainment. And it’s looking like this convention will be the ultimate Smackdown!
I mean, what do they think the convention is for? To witness the tiara being placed on Princess Obama’s head?
Aaaah, that was a cute visual.
Katie from Michigan made a powerful point about her vote being stolen. Like Katie, I was a late convert to Senator Clinton. My vote wasn’t stolen but it was wasted on Edwards. In the general election Hillary’s numbers will sore with votes from millions, like me. who have come to strongly support Senator Clinton.
NEW VIDEO LINK- there was a mistake with the other:
OK, I’ll correct at my blog too
I fail to understand how we can even continue to countenance the entire procedure involving superdelegates. These are insiders, we haven’t elected, who are permitted to be BOUGHT, BRIBED AND BULLIED to vote for nominating a candidate!!!!! The entire procedure is beyond fair or sensible, at least as it now exists. I’m quite shocked that there was not even a pretense of precluding open bribery and/or armtwisting of superdelegates. I say, can the entire system, or majorly, majorly reform it—getting rid of Donna won’t suffice!
Hatshepsut1988, you are absolutely correct. The superdelegates need to go. Getting rid of Donna is a start, but the system needs a complete overhaul.
I think the system that needs to go is that of caucuses. There is a good reason to why the superdelegates were created and I understand their purpose. The problem this year is that because of the DNC’s meddling and their failure to protect the SDs from threats by the BO campaign, some of them were not allowed to make their own decision on which candidate is best to represent the Democratic party. It is the Democratic leadership that needs to be blamed. They weren’t BO to be the nominee so badly that they didn’t care about the rules.
DownListen,
The caucuses are only one part of the election mess. Then you have the voting machines, which can be hacked into without detection; early voting and absentee voting which are handled out of sight of the voters and can also be manipulated (as they were in the gubernatorial race in 2006) and then you have election officials who have to sign contracts with the voting machine vendors that prohibit them from having any access to the the machine’s software in order to test it to see if it’s counting the votes as they were cast (the only test they are allowed to do on the machines is not done in “election mode”, so the machine is not performing the same function it would during an actual election).
There are so many levels where elections can be exploited and manipulated to favor one candidate over the other, that the only way to have election integrity that you can have confidence in is a return to hand counted paper ballots at the precinct on election night. No more transporting of ballots or memory cards to other locations where the votes are counted in secret.
Election integrity only exists when there exists the kind of transparency where citizens can participate, and oversee the process all the way to the final vote count. Until we return to that way of voting, the party leaders and corrupt election officials will decide who gets nominated and even who wins the presidency.
Throwing Donna Brazile out of the party? Sign me up!
Eepicurious has a point about seating 1/2 votes immediately in Florida and Michigan. Actually they went against their own party rules when they denied any count for the period of time they did. They were only allowed to take 1/2 of the vote away, so that is probably why they seated 1/2 when they did. I think that this could be challenged, but I do not know who can do it. I am one of the 1/2 voters in Florida ,and am still angry and disgusted.
Obama worked for the Election Board while in Chicago(prior to running for State Senator) that is why he was able to pull the con on Alice Palmer and his other opponents. He was able to eliminate them because their signatures were not valid. It was unethical but by waiting until the new list of voters came out, he could eliminate those who died and moved away, along with those who printed their names. Mysteriously a scandal came about his Republican opponent making it easy to defeat him.
We all need to realize the greatest lie of this campaign is that Obama is financed by little contributions. LIE! Instead he is backed by Soros, along with many wealthy people and organizations. His power is in the unending finances. Tampa Tribune ran an article from the New York times. “High-Dollar Donors Bankrolling Obama” on August 6th, 2008. With Lawyers making up the largest group, but it is endless. Money is speaking loudly. Amazing that he is still looking bad and getting worse! I wonder if the DNC is only backing him because they know that they cannot buck him because of the monetary backing. DNC has dug a deep hole for themselves by betting on the wrong horse. Hillary Clinton 2008.
I would like to see the Michigan voters who voted for someone other then Obama, under the “uncommitted” category, send in letters to the editors of the major newspapers, along with letters to their state Representatives, explaining that they feel their votes were stolen and that the primary in their state was illegal. Also bring up the fact that as Katie said, they were promised that caucuses would be held to let the “voters” speak. Obama, knowing the election board rules,(worked there) took his name off knowing that he was going to lose that state.
I think that if this were done, so light would shine on what really happened in that state and was brought to a head on May 31st, 2008. Perhaps something could be done. I did not know about the caucus promise. I am seething about the 4 delegates belonging to Hillary being given to Obama. This alone constitutes fraud.
I just would like to see it all challenged, now before the convention on August 25/28!!
