I thought I’d share this bit of news from the AP with you. No matter how much they are in the tank for Obama, I guess they still have contempt for John Kerry. I have a hard time feeling bad for him:
John Kerry says Republican John McCain doesn’t have the judgment to be president.
If that’s the case, then it’s probably a good thing McCain rejected overtures from Kerry, the Democratic presidential nominee in 2004, to form a bipartisan ticket and run with Kerry as his candidate for vice president.
John Kerry is really, really stupid. His judgement has been questionable since the very beginning of this campaign, as demonstrated in this video.
I know we hear a lot of accusations of racism around here, so I won’t go that far. But that didn’t exactly sound right to me. It certainly doesn’t sound like somebody who knows an awful lot about race relations or cultural differences. I guess when you’re as rich as Kerry these things don’t come up so much.
And it looks like the AP has started to put a premium on the snark. Check out the last sentence in the article by Hope Yen:
For the record, Kerry is not among those being mentioned as possible running mates for McCain.
The sad thing is, I bet he’d kill to be on Obama’s short bus list for Veep. Can we get rid of this one please, Massachusetts?

Kerry’s just another DNC loser for Backtrack Obama. You could paste Obama’s head on the windsail commercial and it would work for the DNC.
We’re working on it, Gary
Can’t believe I voted for that guy (Kerry), even though he was my second choice (after Dean). Wow, lucky for me I’m not trying to get a job based on my judgement.
His own wife can’t to be touched by him. I voted for Edwards in the 2004 primary. I knew he would be a dud.
“can’t STAND to be touched by him.”
Off topic, but I just returned from vacation in NYC. I attended my first Gay Pride parade and was dreading all of the Obama signs I expected to see. Imagine my excitement when I saw a guy with a NoBama 4 this Gay! I was even more excited when I returned home, caught up with the postings here and realized it was Mawm I saw. Thanks to the two of you for reinforcing the message about Obama’s homophobia. It was a real bright spot in the parade. Back to lurking now.
P.S. I took a couple of picture of Mawm at the parade.
Bruce, I’ve got video, I hope to have a post up by tomorrow afternoon. Check back to see it!
I supported him last time around(Clark first) but when he said UHC was a “non-starter” that just tore it for me. His remarks in that video were atrocious. After Hillary gets whatever $ she needs, I’m going to donate to Ed. You MA folks deserve better. Heidi Li is also collecting for Sheila Jackson Lee and Stephanie Tubbs Jones-Hillary’s loyal friends-so $ to them too! I need to win the lottery…….. I also need to donate to Mark Warner, here in VA. He wisely kept it zipped during the primary.
I’m African American, can I be president. too?
It’s way past time for Kerry to go. I’d like to send a contribution to Kerry’s primary opponent But I don’t want to support a nut case or a “Lyndon LaRouche,” so called democrat. Does anyone know anything about the guy Ed O’Reilly who is running against Kerry. Is he at least normal.? And do we know where he stood on the Clinton/Obama thing?
Any information at all will be appreciated.
Thanks!
This is OT, and I haven’t been reading today, except for this from the Black Agenda . . .
“As soon as Hillary Clinton ended her battle for the nomination, Barack Obama discarded his well marketed image as a “change agent” and showed his true colors. No longer in competition for Democratic support, he threw off the already thin veneer of a progressive politician. In just two weeks he has given a clear indication of where he stands on a variety of issues, and the news is not good.
Barack Obama isn’t even president yet, but he has informed anyone who is paying attention that there will be no change at all in the way Washington’s politics are conducted. He has also made it clear that there will be change for black people in the political process, but it won’t be for the better.
Perhaps Hillary Clinton can be persuaded to resume her campaign. “ (emphasis mine)

Bruce: I was at the Elton John for Hillary concert and was completely blown away by Hillary’s LGBT support. I don’t know why I figured the community would break for Obama, but that wasn’t the case there.
fuzzybeargville news flash-and 8 supers left obama today and pledged Hillary get this out on all the blogs the supers are beginning to shift to hillary-this is big news get this out-to every blog.

I’m a flaming heterosexual and I knew Obama was in trouble with the LGBT community when he went on tour with Donnie (Pray the gay away) McClurkin.
Then he dissed the mayor of SF by refusing to even be photographed with him (and Newsome is straight)
Obama just took LGBT’s for granted because, after all, where else could they go?

If people like Kerry believe skin color makes a significant contribution to diplomatic ability, American foreign policy is in much worse shape than I thought. There is a difference between listening to MLK and hearing him. Content of the character, not the package, John!
This B (of LGBT) only trusts one candidate in November to take care of me. My candidate has boobs (another plus) and brains. My candidate also has a heart.
Somebody send that woman some more flowers so she knows we love her enough.
fuzzybear— where did you hear that about the SDs??
Gary,
I think the entire Kerry campaign had more influence on me than the DNC could have ever dreamt. Almost everything about him is a template for why I can’t support Obama. There’s more of course. But if Kerry couldn’t pull it off, how can Obama?
Fuzzy, I heard you! It was awesome and you were so great.
I know radio supahstahhrs! I’m so proud.
Anyone asks, I knew you win.
Do you think anyone is paying attention to Obama right now? I think most people really got turned off by the primary. At first it seemed pretty exciting, open and a real new beginning with what ever Democrat might win. By the end I think hope died for most people. I know it did for me. I’m voting for McCain because I feel I have to do something to try to defeat Obama. I think McCain could fall on his head and I wouldl vote for him.
Mawm, and Myiq2xu please email me if you can….

do you have a link or anything to the story about the 8 SDs switching their support?
I’d love to send it to a few familoy members of mine.
thanks.
myiq2xu,
I agree completely about Obama (and the Dem establishment) taking our community for granted, but when gay organizations like the Human Rights Campaign Fund and gay celebrities like David Geffen and Melissa Etheridge are falling all over themselves to support McClurkin’s friend, one begins to expect the worst. Also, most of my LGBT friends in this very red state are strongly pro-Obama. I just don’t get it.
hey gary and Mawn-was on blogtalktonight it was great
and 8 supers leaving Obama at once? is the tide turning?
8 is the begining of the avalanche-and they cannot trot gore again to hold the line-I hope it mounts so all we see are the heel prints of SD’s leaving the obama train in Donna braziles back-

“because he’s african-american”???
this guy is such a fool.
The vast majority of ‘radical islamic terrorists’ are also in regions of the world that are VERY color-conscious (not necessarily race-conscious). Young girls grow up staying out of the sunlight so they don’t get dark-skinned, because fair skin is considered more aesthetic. Huge swaths of Arabs and Asians are vocal in their own color-ism, as much as they may distrust Caucasians. Kerry just proved that “Americans who do not do well in school end up” in not Iraq but in politics.
The No We Won’t Chat (not the radio broadcast) talked about it. We’re looking into getting the names of the SDs but they’re unknown so far.
i said this on the last thread too, but the young woman caller from california was a great call. hearing her — age 21 — makes me even more determined to make sure that the Dem Party knows that they can’t ignore sexism, and they can’t be part of it — the party must have a platform for women, and women must be properly heard. f-ers — i can’t believe we have this battle on our hands in 2008.
i know there are other elements to this mess besides the woman factor…but what went wrong for women in this primary is indicative of what is wrong with the Dem Party.
anyway, the young woman caller said, if the dem party can’t stick up for a former first lady of the united states, to at least stand up for her against sexism — why should this young woman believe that they would stand for an ordinary girl like her.
OMG…this goes to the very crux of what’s wrong here. whoever this young woman is — she made my night and probably the night for a lot of other “bitter old” women like me!!
at this time 8 obama delegates have declared their independence(but who else is still in the race) I am from Iowa originally I know how a flood starts!
fuzzybeargville
remember supers can change their mind at any time…Ed Rendell did you hear that?
Oh, btw, young girls grow up staying out of the sunlight for Many, many reasons, of course. Sunlight just being the least horrifying of them.
Gary, thanks for this little gem. I wonder how many people know that Kerry approached McCain about VP. If it becomes wider knowledge, it will pretty much debunk any claims Obama will make about M’s lack of judgment or ability.
Fuzzy and Leslie — Great news! Could it really be possible that things are shifting???
Too many “fauxgressives” think that they deserve the support of feminists, LBGT’s, racial minorities, etc., because they have done things to help those groups.
But you only get partial credit if you don’t consider them equals to yourself. Racist missionaries considered it the “White Man’s Burden” to help the colored savages, because they considered white people superior to the “lesser races.”
Obama’s “support” for the LBGT community seems to me to be like that. He now opposes the California Initiative to ban gay marriage, but I’ll bet it’s on some basis like “state’s rights”
I haven’t heard him say he is in favor of gay marriage either.
regency I got a second independent source confirm on the 8 SD’s FYI

Still no names on the SD’s. I am sure Dean is sh*tting bricks tonight good let him miss sleep Like I do-

Just look at Rwanda, Darfur, etc.
Fuzzy, thanks!!!
Myiq2xu: He isn’t for gay marriage for the record. His religious belief precludes it.
One thing I find disturbing about Obama is that all his positions are “nuanced” in such a way it’s nearly impossible to define them.
His only bold and unpopular positions are like the one on FISA, wrong AND conservative.
In 2004 Kerry did the whole “lack of experience thing”,
against Edwards. I was waiting this year to see how
would address why Obama with “less” experience is “ok”??
Then it happened; Chris Wallace asked the “BIG” question… His response was that “Obama has the
superior judgement”!
I thought I’d get sick!!
Then Edwards endorses Obama ; so I guess he agreed with Kerry??
Myiq2xu-
the united church of christ is one of the most liberal christian denominations-and they actually do support LGBT marriage. Obama is not in accord with his faith probably why he left the church. His church may be to the right of the denominations beliefs.
They(UCC) ran those ads a few years ago that stirred up controversy-the one where people were sitting church and one by one the “not normal” people (like the single mother and a gay couple) were shot out of their seats I am sure they are on Utube somewhere.
they were great (the ads)
fuzzybeargville
One of Obama’s supposed credentials on LBGT’s was his association with Trinity UCC, which provides help for AIDS patients.
It’s probably one of those “hate the sin, love the sinner” programs.
Whoops, we crossposted.
Thanks Michael, I stand corrected on TUCC.
I heard this statement by Kerry about a week ago [not sure when he had the interview]. And I literally could not believe my ears. Obama will have credibility with moderate Muslims by virtue of his race, simply because he’s a black man?
That’s it?
Look I’m a white woman but doesn’t that sound incredibly insulting to all races that because Obama is a black man the world is magically going to fall into place and we’re all going to play kissey face huggy bear?
What about asking a few questions, like who the man is, where does he stand on the issues, and what does he bring to the table before making these pie-in-the-sky predictions and/or using his race to explain everything.
The Dems have become the band leaders to this insanity. I still cannot believe Kerry made that statement and no one in the media called him on it. In fact, I was really hoping I heard it wrong. I voted for Kerry in 2004. Now I’m embarrassed by that fact.
Can you imagine the same remark made by a Clinton supporter: “she’ll have credibility with or about [. . . fill in the blank] because she’s a woman.”
The howl would have gone round the world, ten times.
Incredible!

Obama ought not to keep subtracting from the constitution (FISA) or he will have no place to hide his illiberal beliefs, e.g. against all forms of marriage that do not follow a non-polygamist judeo-christian format.
the story at huffpo is that 8 supers are secretly planning to vote for Obama. are you sure these people had the story correct?
as for the Huffpo story, why would these supers be keeping this a secret? isn’t O the presumptive nominee? this is all weird

Peggy Sue: Many of us voted for John Kerry simply because he was not George W. Bush. At that point, I would have voted for Elmer Fudd.
KiKI- If your still here, the article at the HuffPost was from April 7…
Doesn’t make sense?
Night, Fuzzy!
Has anyone mentioned Ed O’Reilly? There’s definitely a chink in Kerry’s armor.
I just spent my last $10 on poster-sized copies of the Declaration, which I dutifully taped to the Louisville Dem HQ, John Yarmuth’s re-election campaign office, and Baron Hill’s local office, so I can’t donate (already gave to Hillary and PUMApac this week). But if you have funds available, his Act Blue page is here: http://www.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/18072
Btw, pics of tonight’s action over at my place. It was a blast, for the record.
According to HuffNPuff, Crist is engaged to Carole Rome. The article’s a fun read.
Kiki: looks like your HuffPo link is from during the primaries.
“Obama has the
superior judgement”!
They keep repeating that like it’s some sort of fact.
BASED ON WHAT????? There is never any follow up. And pleeeeaazzzeeee DO NOT tell me it was his “opposition” to the war. My God. How long is he going to milk that phantom cow?
And judgment? Can we say Wright, Ayers, Meeks, Pfleger, Auchi etc.? And now with all the flip-flops. I think we should get a new t-shirt designed:
GOT JUDGMENT?
I’ve only heard bits and pieces out of MA (I am in NY). Kerry’s popularity is very low, and has only gone unchallenged because of Kennedy’s influence. With Kennedy sidelined, and a candidate ready to compete, Kerry may be in trouble. O’Reilly is a working class guy, and is well-liked.
However, there is also a strong contender making moves from the Republican side–a former special opps guy with very strong military credentials. A real Top Gun/Navy Seal kind of guy–his resume is really impressive.
John–hear those footsteps coming up behind you?
Is there anybody more annoying than Kerry? What a big fat loser! I don’t care if Ed O’Reilly is engaged to his dog, I will vote for him just the same. How can this idiot come out now and diss McCain when he offered, no make that begged, him to be his v. p. in 2004?
And just as aside, my mailman is black. Does this qualify him to be president? He has also held this job for at least 10 years which gives him a leg upon on Obama’s sketchy work record.
I agree Pat, they want to tell us that we are disloyal to the party and that McCain is going to sacrifice your babies to the gods and bring Hitler back to life, but they don’t remember that just 4 short years ago they were dying to have him on the ticket.
Pat – I’m black and I am the smart girl so I don’t have to copy off of anybody. Can I be President in 18 years?
Gary, love, I can’t watch the video. I have KAS, Kerry Aversion Snydrome. But, great post!
sorry melanie!!!…. Kerry reminds me of the guy that everyone knows who tries so hard, but you always end up feeling a little embarassed for him when he talks. If i think back to 2004 I remember I cringed every time he opened his mouth.
Melanie – I read your post too fast and my first thought was to ask whether that causes seizures.
Pat! You’re in Mass.? Righteous! We got ourselves a bona fide O’Reilly supporter. I’m damn privileged to know you. If I lived there, O’Reilly would be getting my vote, and anyone else I could talk into it. (I can be very persuasive. Heh. )
regency: In 18 years guaranteed you will be the Head Honcho in whatever and wherever you plant your huge brain. And if I am still around in 18 years, and still remember how to make toast, you can count on my vote!
For those who are still up at this later hour, the NY Times just posted on pag 1 of its website a fairly devastating article about Obama’s days as a community organizer and how little he accomplished. You can look at it at http://www.nytimes.com
Here’s a little tidbit to whet your appetite.
“In recent days, Mr. Obama has imbued those years with even greater significance, invoking them last week as inspiration for his plan to deliver social services through religious organizations. He told a conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church on Saturday that as a community organizer he “let Jesus Christ into my life” and “I dedicated myself to discovering his truth and carrying out his works.”
It is clear that the benefit of those years to Mr. Obama dwarfs what he accomplished. Mr. Kellman said that Mr. Obama had built the organization’s following among needy residents and black ministers, but “on issues, we made very little progress, nothing that would change poverty on the South Side of Chicago.”
Ouch!
annabellep: Yep, Western Mass to be exact. I have already been to O’Reilly’s website and left my name for contact. Anything to make Kerry squirm. He always wins automatically and this is one of the first years in a long time he has some competition.
I get a little crazy when politicians start parading their “religion” around. Obama is about as religious as I am these days and that is not saying much. He is just another good standing member in The Church of the Hypocrites.
Bring back Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote a note to the Senator earlier when I read that news article, so I am glad to see so many people with the same thoughts. I include it here for everyone’s enjoyment. Do you think I was too nice?
“I am astonished you would have the audacity to suggest John McCain has poor judgment.
You are the one who came out and endorsed Barack Obama against the opinion of the constituency you supposedly represent, and you did everything in your power to push out the best qualified candidate I will probably see in my lifetime.
We now seem to be stuck with our “presumptive” dear leader, and I am supposed to respect your opinion about a man who has always honored his country?
I would suggest that you begin praying for forgiveness now for the horror you have helped bring upon this country if your candidate is selected in November.
Try listening to your Mass. voters or you might find yourself out of a job before the next senatorial race passes”.
How can we help him “retire”?
It is up to us, the MA voters, to rid the Senate of Kerry. MA is the most liberal state in the country and Kerry is not the most well liked politician hereabouts. However, he is usually up against very weak opposition for the most part so he basically waltzes back in. The Kennedy Mystique in MA is alive and well on the other hand. People are still waiting for a return to Camelot.

fred, you do know it’s an advertisement, right? The “shocker” was sarcastic? I’m too tired to be able to tell for sure. I’ll wait a minute for your answer, but then I’m headed to bed.

NBC Universal to buy The Weather Channel for $3.5B
Oh Kerist! You mean Keith Olbermann’s gonna do the hurricane coverage? “The massive hurricane which hit (pick your city) is ALL HILLARY’S FAULT!”
Kerry is such an idiot. I can’t believe I voted for him either. I just thought about how I blindly voted for him just because of allegiance to the party. Thank God I’ve found my freedom!
oh sorry yes I know it was, but i’d like to find a way to download it to youtube I think it was pretty cool…imo
Pat and Annabellep — I’m also in Mass and signed up on O’Reilly’s site. I’ve seen him on the local news a couple times and I think he comes across pretty well.
He’s solidly for gay marriage, thinks Kerry’s shifting votes and stances on the war were unconscionable, is against nuclear power (was arrested as a young man protesting Seabrook) and for investing in new power tech. He was a defense attorney for years, so he has a very bold style. It’s funny, bc even though he’s from north of Boston his accent is all Boston — real Boston, not that odd Kennedy accent that no one really has.
He doesn’t seem like a marry-his-dog candidate at all, although I would still vote for him against Kerry even if he were as well. In fact, I can’t tell you how joyfully I’m looking forward to checking off O’Reilly’s name instead of Kerry’s in the primary.
Valhalla,
Excuse my ignorance, but I’ve never heard “marry-his-dog candidate.” I love sayings so what does that mean? Thanks.
Prolix — upthread Pat said she’s vote for Ed O’Reilly against Kerry even if he was engaged to his dog, so I was riffing on that.
I suppose Obama would object to a marry-his-dog candidate, but a civil-unioned-his-dog one would be ok.
“Young girls grow up staying out of the sunlight so they don’t get dark-skinned, because fair skin is considered more aesthetic. ” Anyone who knows about western history also knows that christian girls were encouraged to stay indoors right up till the last century – for the same reason. A good tan has only been considered sexy since the word sexy became current and the blatant objectification of women took over from the covert objectification of women.
It isn’t being ignorant savage arabs, hindus, muslims or whatever else you are hinting at – it’s the dominance of male values and demands which warps young women’s lives. The world over. So relatively westernised, independent and self sufficient Indian girls and men pay good money for skin-bleach treatments because they will make them look more “sexy” – and “American”. And after the betrayal and slighting of Hillary Clinton, we all know how America views women.
Many of us who voted for Kerry in 04 are wondering how the hell we could have voted for that schmuck. A little reflection reminds me that I thought beating Bush was the most important thing.
Voting for Kerry was an exercise in futility for many of us because of the way in caved in Ohio. Anyone, anywhere that didn’t know that Ohio was corrupted wasn’t paying attention. The story is that Edwards was livid by Kerry’s capitulation.
I don’t have much money to donate but if Ed O’Reilly continues to sound like an anti-Kerry I will send what I can when I can.
I just don’t want to suffer the buyer’s remorse I still feel for contributing to Claire McCaskill’s campaign. The betrayal, it burns!
Oh, kerry, how many ways do I loathe you?
“I don’t have time to cry in my tea cups for stolen elections (2003)

Yeah but McCaskiller will be having a big problem if the SD’s start to shift from Obama. Most this may be caused by the big drop in fundraising that hurting many super-D’s.
Team Obama has not been the “manna from Heaven” that everyone predicted and now there is the mad scramble for cash here at the before half time break.
Something is falling apart here and I bet its Obama’s Teflon Coating.

[...] JOHN KERRY [...]
Hey I am black and 44 so I can be president now then and I spent 22 years at my current job so that is tons more experience then Kerry. I am ready can I start packing plus I really am from the hood not pretending to be from the hood.
I meant Obama lol
Here’s a goodie I found researching for my entry:
Kerry’s O’reilly Factor:
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/12/kerrys_oreilly_factor/
“FOR THE FIRST time in 24 years, Senator John Kerry faces a Democratic primary challenge. For that, he blames Hillary Clinton.
more stories like this
Some of Clinton’s Massachusetts supporters are still displeased about Kerry’s decision to back Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential campaign. To send him a message, some helped Gloucester lawyer Ed O’Reilly get 22.5 percent of the delegate vote at last Saturday’s Democratic Party convention, either by voting present or voting outright for Kerry’s opponent.
“I ran Senator Clinton’s campaign in Massachusetts,” said Roger Lau, who is now Kerry’s reelection campaign manager. “I know how much intensity and passion motivated her enormous base of supporters. It’s no secret that the passion didn’t dissipate . . . Plenty of delegates who have been our friends a long time said openly that Senator Kerry had to answer for his endorsement, and they felt liberated to send a message because Kerry was going to win renomination so handily.”
Lau said that O’Reilly wouldn’t have made the ballot “were it not for John Kerry’s early endorsement” of Obama. O’Reilly said support from unhappy Clinton supporters “was not a huge factor, but it had some bearing.”
Hillaryismygirl08
Are you a woman? Cuz, that right there….sorry….
I don’t remember Carol Mosley Brown getting all that excitement about her – and he had a full term in the senate!
One more thing just occurred to me: does it sound to you like Kerry has been dispatched by the B0 campaign to sound off the same talking point Clark did – and he is being shut down as well?
Second sign that the media may return to their first love after all.
Also, we have to wonder – will B0 distance himself of Kerry too?
Will we actually get to see a “Dear John” letter?
Well I wish our MA PUMA’s luck a primary defeat of John Kerry will send a message to Dean Pelosi and company that Madame’ Guilitine(aka the ballot box) stands ready to cut short the life of any politiian.
fuzzybeargville
From the AP-Yahoo Poll published today, it looks like Obama’s numbers are sinking. I know we can’t put too much stock in poll figures, but…”Obama’s image has deteriorated with two crucial groups: 52 percent of whites view him negatively, up 12 points from November. And 48 percent of independents have an unfavorable view of him, up from 31 percent last fall.” It notes that Obama is 5% below the favorable ratings received by the Democratic Party overall. Perhaps after all the Bush doublespeak where we were told things like “Gore lost” when really Gore won and “Iraq is a threat” when Iraq was no threat, the appeal has worn off. Maybe when people hear “Obama is a brilliant Orator” and then they listen to him, they are beginning to think, hey, I don’t think so.
I wish I could move across the border to vote against Kerry. He and Kennedy created this situation and look what it has cost us. Had Gore been president, imagine what this country would be like. If Hillary were president, we would also be looking at a positive future. The Democratic Party is responsible for this debacle.
Hello
What happened to my other comment about the great 4th of july debt etc etc.
McCaskill has until 2013, I think.
What happened to the great 4th of july, fund raising, effort to eliminate Hillary’s debt. It now turns out, Hillary’s people at HillaryClintion.com didn’t even know, and were never informed there was an effort. Not only that, donations were going to Hillary’s senate campaign in 2012. Will our coalition get any credit for the funds. raised
Forgive the OT but…
If you have abso-damn-lutely decided not to vote for Obama but cannot bear the thought of voting for McCain here’s a Nader interview you might find interesting.
Rick Sanchez interviews Ralph Nader

And yes my dear PUMAs I am still hoping that the Democratic Party regains it’s sanity and nominates Senator Clinton. But it is always a good strategy to look for options.
PUMAcrats love their country. Obamacrats love their Obama.
O they already have connex Gary –Treehouse Foods! read Heinz and Pickles…and other things. Rigged!
I miss RD! but, hugs to you all, here at the C… we carry on…!
Wonder if K is involved with corn and ethanol or GM foods? Hmmm….
McC wants Brazilian sugar cane as fuel– much better in the long run — and Green…
I voted Nader the year Gore lost. I wish the Greens were bigger…
Nader is a good guy, at heart.
Good morning, Patriots!
Response from way up thread–Clues to Obama’s anti-gay stance were definately there from the beginning. What self-respecting gay-rights supporter would share the stage with Donnie? And there were more clues in the wording on his website. I screamed till I was hoarse on this note to my gay friends, but to no avail. Ultimately, several sent me that repulsive “yes we can” video. Now, (sadly) we’re barely speaking.
The thing that drives me crazy is that all- I mean, ALL of his conservative BS was there for the world to see from the beginning. i n the beginning, all 10 in my family were supporting Edwards. After he suspended (totally lost my respect for him since), my family has been divided in a bitter civil war. In February, I sent all these “Don’t you see????” e-mails to my Obama sibs. Fat lotta good.
If this SD thing is true, Fuzzy, I’ll be furiously circulating it. But from here on to the finish line, it’s all about giving cover to those that are secretly embarrassed to have supported him in the first place. That’s why we can’t be loud with “I told you so”s.
good morning patriots,
yeah, the writing was on the wall in so many areas, joaniebone…it is hard to believe so few Democrats read the fine print.
His energy plan screams dirty energy puppet, but nobody reads past the cheerleading to the fine print, they just glance at it and see
reduce CO2 80% by 2050
etc, and think, ok, he’s a Democrat, he’ll be good…
If this SD thing is true,”
what sd thing?….dare I hope?
Fuzzy says that 8 SDs have come back to Hillary. Mum still-why I don’t know, but more later.
It is going to be difficult, but if Obama is the nominee, I will have to either stay at home or vote for McCain. My husband and I are retired and have been life long Democrats. The Puma movement should, if they want to impress the superdelegates, place some effort in the states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, plus keeping them upset about Florida. McCain will carry all of the south and the border states and all of the normal red states, I live in Texas and I can assure you that McCain will carry Texas big Time. If Obama loses any two of those above, he will lose the general election. He trash talks that he is going to carry some of the red states.. Kansas and Utah have not voted Democratic in my life time. He might have the Govenor of Kansas in his pocket, but Kansas voters are to the right of Attila the Hun. So Puma work on building the movement in those swing states and you will scare the “hell” out of some super delegates.
Well, it’s either gonna be McCain/Palin or …
Barack Obama starring as “Change” the Gardener in remake of movie classic, “Being There”, starring Peter Sellers as “Chance” the Gardener!

KiKI- If your still here, the article at the HuffPost was from April 7…
I’m so stupid!!!!!! sorry y’all……
Jessie Briton I know Paula Abeles at realdemocrats and Cynthia Ruccia are full-court pressing the swing states getting out the Puma message.
I was with my sibs from MA yesterday and none had ever heard of Ed O’Reilly! God, why aren’t people as OCD as me?
If you donated to Hillary’s campaign to pay off her debt and got into the Senate fund instead, you can email her campaign finance manager and tell her where you want your donation applied. Will Bowers had info on Facebook this morning.
“It isn’t being ignorant savage arabs, hindus, muslims or whatever else you are hinting at ..”
briar, no, I wasnt being judgemental at anyone except at Kerry. Anyone with half a brain and a little travelling/reading knows that huge numbers of arabs, asians and indians would not necessarily empathize with an african-american just because that person is black. They all see themselves as very different from both, white and black people, and they dont just lump themselves as ‘people of color’, unless they’re asian-americans, or arab-americans, or indian-americans.
So, Kerry’s being an ignorant bone-head there in that video, of how Obama will win over radical islamic terrorists by being black. Of all the stupid statements about Obama I’ve heard the last few months, that has to be the stupidest.
[...] Sometimes the news makes me smile I thought I’d share this bit of news from the AP with you. No matter how much they are in the tank for Obama, I [...] [...]
