Ladies and Gentlemen, your New Democratic Party

This is absolutely shocking. I don’t know where these people came from, but I never in my life have known a real Democrat who would not find the following set of photographs offensive, vile, racist, sexist, homophobic and thoroughly tasteless. Yet this is what passes for humor these days in the New Democratic Party. These photos are part of a piece on the Huffington Post’s so called “satire” site, 23/6. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Arianna “slimeball” Huffington: in her most wretched glory:

Who needs the GOP anymore? The Democrats have officially become sleazier than the mother f#$@& freepers. This is what happens when you throw around terms like “post racial” in order to win elections. This is what happens when you tell people that by electing you we have cured racism in this country. This is what happens when you cynically attack your allies and smear them with charges of racism. This is what happens when you let a frat-boy mentality serve as a moral compass for your campaign. This is what happens when real prinicples are replaced with lust for power and fame. This is what happens when you and your surrogates use blatantly sexist tactics to win elections. This is what happens when you reduce women to nothing but sexual animals. This is what happens when you vote for Barack Obama. Barack Obama, you DISGUST me! Barack Obama YOU DID THIS!!!!! And there is no redemption. You have set back the causes of civil rights, feminism, gay rights, and human rights in general by decades. The Pandora’s box you have opened will mean nothing but woe for this country. Indeed, what you have unleashed your daughters will pay for as they become women. Barack Obama, SHAME ON YOU!

  1. Arianna Huffington is NOT a Democrat; she’s a registered independent and an all-around opportunist. So I am not surprised with this kind of nonsense.

  2. You almost had me going there—for a minute I thought they were real magazine covers. Just shows how disturbed I have become this primary season.

  3. It is sad to see what the Democratic Party has turned into after its leadership decided to cast their lot with an inexperienced, smooth talking senator from Illinois with a dubious past and a history of both lying and associating with extremists. Instead of leading the country out of the quagmire that the Bush administration has brought us, the Democratic party will instead try to replace the Bush administration with another incompetent one.

  4. Holy shit that is so disgusting.

Martia Law is an imbecile. Get out!

  5. I blame Obama, arianna has been and always will be nothing but a tool.

  6. this is the real legacy of this campaign. rampant misogyny and racism (and its not us who are racist, it is them–no wonder they feel guilty), and these are the ones shouting hope, unity, and change.

  7. Not only that but he gave a death blow to campaign finance reform

what am I trying to say?

  8. don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord spilt ya

  9. Wow, that was cool. I’m fired up now.

  10. where do you get off thinking you can come here and say whatever the hell you want? this isn’t a democracy. you people are so stupid its unbelievable. Would I have the right to walk into you r house and berate you for not welcoming me with open arms. now get the hell out of here. i”m pissed, and not in the mood

  11. Ariana was an annoying loon and drama-seeking poseur back when she was a right-wing Republican, and she’s an annoying loon and drama-seeking poseur today.

I’m confused though: isn’t she supposed to be working *for* Obama? I don’t know how much this kind of crap will hurt, but it won’t help.

  12. that last post was directed at obots..not “you people” here chatting :) sorry, this just really got me majorly pissed off.

  13. you may have the pleasure garychapelhill

  14. As if her “makeover” on The View were’nt enough…

And her husband’s many, many reversals of stance…

But it doesn’t matter if he’s the first politician since Watergate to forgo public funds for the general election…

    He’s SO ABOVE THAT!!!!

    UNITY… HOPE….

I only hope the electorate unifies behind Clinton… if reason rules in Denver…. or McCain in NOV.!…

IT IS OUR ONLY HOPE! Obama will not win!

  15. freaky–by leveling false accusations of racism, while at the same time declaring himself post racial, what obama has allowed to happen is that his supporters feel free to be as racist as they want because they “get it”. It is very disturbing, and I’ve been noticing it as a theme across all kinds of media.

  16. I think we should change the headline.

let’s do the move-on bake sale for change thing.

  17. don’t know how many still go over to TM but she had this on the site and I almost fell out da chair:

Above is the McCain camp’s call. Oh, and by the way, they’ve evidently gotten nervous about me being included now. So after a warm welcome they’ve frozen me out. I’ve got an email into Patrick Hynes on it. I covered the first call I was on with McCain totally fairly, more so than many, actually. It’s not exactly in keeping with McCain’s reach out. That Clinton supporters are actually considering voting for McCain is another reason to have me on, but someone got cold feet. Emphasis is mine.

I don’t know how many McCain-voting Clinton supporters still hit her site. I go over to see what’s going on. But with her being 1000% for Obama, I can understand why the McCain campaign might want to freeze her out; her bias is public on her website. She is an Obama supporter. It’s not like she’s Time, Newsweek, WaPo or whatever that are supposed to be non-partisan news organizations. If she says she covered the 1st call fairly I’ll take her word for it; it’s not something I really look at.

  18. Axelrod (Daley’s right-hand man) specializes in campaigns for blacks. He had a two-fer in Obama. White males who are too sexist to vote for a woman (a “scary smart” one at that) could vote for the half-AA and feel enlightened. I wonder if this explains the sorry lot of Obama bloggers who have polluted the web.

  19. Obama’s post-integrity too. Someone should do a post about that.

  20. whoa! are those real magazine covers?

  21. Aww I just found the McCains’ security code names.
John is Phoenix and Cindy is Parasol.

They’ve likely already changed them but I liked them.

  22. heh..McCain said he thought his code name was “jerk”. lol

btw, i am LOST about those pictures of MO! What is the point? Trying to make already known Democrats who dislike her dislike her MORE ?….or

…is sex, drugs and guns suggestions going to get more votes from drug dealers, porno site owners and crimminals with firearms??? serious here. Whut’s going on?

Which reminds me…all these inner city voter registrations? My view is that the aren’t going to translate to winning the election because most of these people don’t care about anything, much less the federal government.

  23. Not Bitter, it’s not that most inner-city folk don’t care, they’ve just got a dozen bigger things to worry about than two guys that have shown they don’t give a shiz about them.

They had an advocate. She got kicked off the bus and they got pushed to the back of it.

  24. hmmm..I realize that ….Most people generally just think the govt. runs itself and aren’t going to show up and vote in Nov. Especially now that’s it’s turned nasty and racist. Like the rest of the bloggers, we have in common this abstraction to talk about called preserving liberty, protecting citizens, etc.

  25. All I gotta say is: Oh Please! What kind of whiny nonsense are we going to have to hear about after he sees this crap. You are right Gary. It’s definately all ok now to bash women right out in the open!

  26. Huffington Post was the FIRST one to get booted off my list. The New Republic was second. This is too low for words. It’s just about too low to even repeat. Please, no more misogyny. Even if it’s from someone else we all despise. I’m not for censorship, but I won’t hold hands with bad taste, either.

  27. My heart stopped when I thought they were legitimate magazine covers. Now, that I’m so disgusted and angry, it’s pumping like crazy.

Ditto what garychapelhill expressed so well.

  28. This is the “creative class” at it’s finest. Too kewl for skewl, post racism, post sexism. But reality is they’re mired in it.

Watch them try and justify it as a send-up of the right wing media. Post irony, dontcha know ?

  29. Any more “shocking” than this??

This could be worse than just being stupid..

    From: UnheardAmericanVoices-Negative Messages
Here’s something that also should be looked into:

“From: UnheardAmericanVoices-Negative Messages Intentionally Placed in Clinton TV Ads?? Who Inside Her Campaign Sabotaged Her? A Disturbing MUST READ/SEE”
    http://tinyurl.com/3sqqm3

This is REALLY scary when you think about it…check it out if you haven’t seen it already…

  30. I don’t know if Obama meant to do this when he was put up to run, but his campaign has been subtitled “The Sacrifice of Michelle Obama.” And I don’t mean any pun in that. I know she gets referred to her as “his bitter half.” I would be bitter too if the church I had gone to were suddenly taken away from me b/c of my spouse’s ambition–I think she was far more committed to her church than Obama–and was made to go make nice to people I didn’t really want to be around. Michelle has tendencies toward black separatism. I don’t agree with that philosophy, but I also think it’s OK for her to have it. Basically, what she wants no longer counts. Her church–under the bus. Her job–under the bus. Her privacy–under the bus. Her image–guess where? In the garbage. Just where all the other women go.

  31. What is the POINT of this? I thought HuffyPuffy was Obama Substation Number One. Doesn’t this somehow make MO look bad?
And joking about Michelle assassinating Hillary? What the f is UP with that?

  32. Not that I find these appropriate but how are they racist? I could see the same covers with Hillary on them. We need to stop seeing racism everywhere.

  33. The irony is that we all had to think for a minute before asking ourselves is it fake? When Obama’s people were trying to convince us that Obama was the “new JFK” they started calling the missus “the new Jackie”, but to paraphrase Lloyd Benson when he told Dan Quayle that he he was no JFK, we can tell Mrs. Obama that she isn’t, and never will be Jaqueline Kennedy.

Mrs. Kennedy gave very few interviews, never pretended to be a TV hostess, and certainly never denigrated her country. Her greatest political achievement was restoring Our White House and protecting and preserving its heritage. Every now and then they still run her tour of the White House after the restoration and she is an elegant and gracious hostess.

First Lady Hillary Clinton, at first glance, has more in common with Mrs. Obama; both being lawyers, working mothers and all, but they certainly took different career paths. Obama worked to make money, Clinton worked as a child advocate and after the View “co-host” stunt it is obvious she’s not Hillary Clinton either and I don’t think “making yourself pretty” and fist bumping celebrities is going to make us change our minds about her.

  34. This should go to NOW’s media hall of shame: http://www.now.org/issues/media/hall_of_shame/index.html.

  35. thanks chimera, i just submitted it.

  36. Ugh.

    And what about FISA, eh?

    (total silence from hopechangehope).

But here’s a funny thing: I dropped by the Orange Cheeto, and cause some buyers-remorseful who were shocked shocked that O had not come out swinging against FISA. Gave O campaign numbers to contact.

But here’s the really funny part: at the end of the post, he/she suggested THAT PEOPLE CONTACT HILLARY CLINTON.

Because she might be able to, uh, open her mouth and object?

    Ya think?

  37. Gary, we have 2 Carol’s on here posting.

  38. Carol, yes we do, I’m not sure why, but I’m sure the smarter people around here will look into it…

  39. Gary – spot-on analysis.

    It’s the new post-racial racism.

Obama gladly let the dogs out during the campaign. And here they are.

  40. Gary,

You’ve posted many terrific posts, and this is one. I have one issue and that is I don’t see this solely as Obama’s doing. Yes, he used sexism but that doesn’t mean the press/MSM needs to pick up the baton and run with it. Huffpost has and always will be a crap log. I cannot let this kind of foolishness sidetrack us from my goal, seeing Senator Clinton and her hard work acknowledged by all.

  41. elixir, I tend to agree with athena above you. Obama set this tone. By calling people who are not racists racist, while at the same time declaring racism dead, (and acting as if sexism never existed) he gave his many young frat boy fan base free reign to do this kind of crap. His campaign obviously has close ties to huff post, and huff post has been regarded as a genuine media outlet by the MSM. He could easily stop this, but it works for him politically so he won’t. Obama is a sleazeball and deserves all the scorn I can dish out. i apologize if what I wrote comes off as a rant. but this is what REALLY gets me about his campaign. This attitude is a direct consequence of Obama’s campaign.

  42. Reacting upthread to something– I’ve quit all but a few blogs– all you have to do is surf by and look at the numbers in the comment threads and you’ll see tremendous fall-offs in some place. Marsh used to get 600 or so per thread– not so much now. I wouldn’t pollute my mouse by clicking on HuffPo.

And yes, those are vile covers. The Gun and Ammo cover is particularly offensive– and vaguely threatening. Should the Secret Service be notified?

  43. Gary,

As you mention, He clearly gave the “all clear” on sexism and racism. Your post wasn’t a rant – I’m just sensitive to PUMA appearing more pissed off about the sexism/racism than the fact that our candidate was cheated out of a nomination.

I guess what I’m hoping for is a renewed focus on Hillary and what she could and would do for our country. With that said, carry on. Great work.

  44. Funny. We have this suped up filter on our computers so certain images won’t make it through – including the “guns and ammo” shot. I can only imagine.

At work, the filter is even steeper, no images come through. So when I log onto Confluence at work I have to imagine what the images are based on the responses of the posters. Kind of like what radio must have been like pre TV.

  45. What happened to the Gun’s & Ammo Magazine cover? I saw it on my home computer about 20 minutes ago. Michelle was packing a pistol and there was a reference to killing Hillary. Disgusting slime balls! Isn’t there a law about inciting to kill as in inciting to riot?

  46. I have a friend who is connected to all of Hillary’s “big donors.” I was bothered by the recent reports that Hillary and BO are meeting together with them next week, thinking that they were weakening. I received this response from her this morning:

There is a big joint fundraiser in DC on Thurs. where they have asked donors to give to Obama. Many of my friends who are on the finance committee are not going—they are giving only the minimum—the $2300 b/c she has asked—they refuse to raise any money for him—everyone is holding strong together and every day that goes by it gets stronger. I am very proud of our top fundraisers. They are not caving at all.

    PUMA!!!!!

  47. The presumptive Democratic nominee and his vapid supporters have undone 50 years of progress in the area of women’s rights.

The hot topic in the news the past week–is it acceptable for women to forego panty hose at work?

I am totally disgusted with my former party, and I will not return until I see ACTIONS; it’s too late for “just words.” PUMA and proud!

  48. OMG, Michelle Obama has cleavage! She better be careful. Remember the snit the press went into when HRC had a scoop-necked top on last summer. The audacity! The sheer immodesty. Hillary has breasts!

This would be funny if it wasn’t so sad, even alarming. The fleecing of America. That Kool-Aide is amazing stuff!

  49. sorry to be clueless, but the link doesn’t take you to Huff po, which I do avoid, I just wanted to see their context, it takes your somewhere else, how is this connceted to them?

  50. Ed Darrell, do you understand that it was Obama supporters at Huffington Post who came up with these magazine covers? No one here would do that.
If the unthinkable occurs and Barak Obama is elected President, the look on my face will reflect a deep sorrow for my country and its future.

  51. I will never expect anything better than the Huffpo offering from any person or group who condones stealing votes. Of course there is race baiting, misogyny and homophobia. Everything is fair game now and blame will be shifted to the people calling out the offenders. It won’t stop us and, sooner or later, they will have alienated all of their “support” and will increasingly turn on each other. We PUMA’s, however, will be too busy trying to save what’s left of the country to notice.

  52. just ignore ed, apparently he hasn’t learned to read yet, just look at the pictures.

  53. nyc voter 23/6 is a satire site connected to huffpost. it is run by the same people.

  54. yikes, what goes on here?
do not believe for a minute any one of these politicians, one or the other same under the skin, same lies, same rhetoric, they eat, drink and breathe from the same swamp

  55. no ceo, I don’t think that Hillary Clinton would tolerate this kind of filth

  56. have you all seen Something Awful website? speaking of Frat Boy mentality…

This is a site where the posters decry racism against Obama, and then their avatars or photos they put up include African Americans as servants, or with over-the-top ballooning lips. It’s disgusting.

I never thought I’d say this, but what the hell is wrong with kids today? post-racial means: everyone’s racist but me.

  57. If you think the MO thing is bad, take a look at what they think is “funny” to say about Cindy McCain:

    http://www.236.com/news/2008/06/19/cindy_mccain_facepalms_asian_v_1_7228.php

  58. they are absolutely disgusting.

  59. “Arianna Huffington is NOT a Democrat; she’s a registered independent and an all-around opportunist.”

    I totally agree.

Also, shouldn’t satire be funny? These seem to fall pretty flat.

  60. Gary there is no question that these “covers” are disgusting. I’m just confused why this makes Obama and his supporters racist. We don’t support this, and i certainly don’t feel like i’ve been encouraged to support anything like this. As you demonstrated and pointed out several times earlier, this campaign has brought out the nastiest most disgusting and vile images pertaining to gender, oreintation, and race. It seems like there is blame to go around on all sides.

I’m not sure i’ll be able to read HuffPo ever again. Thanks Gary for the eye opening post.

  61. HuffPo started out wanting to be the leftist equivalent of the Drudge Report. Given that, I think they’re totally on target.

I don’t want to go around blaming the victim, but Obamas – you two ASKED for it. By pissing in the common pool you’ve made it unsafe for yourself too.

  62. Didn’t like it with Hillary, don’t like it with Michelle…(even if I find Michelle too much myself…)
Huffington Post has been indecent -I don’t ever read it any more nor do I watch TV-only for the weather then it’s off…

  63. This is classic you-started-it-now-you’re-caught-in-it-too. Tough, O’s. But I’m more interested in two things that maybe somebody here can clarify:
    1. During a TV interview just after O announced, he was asked why he was doing so at this time. His answer: “Some people came to me and ……” I want to know exactly who those “some people” were. I want to know who was behind this guy from the get-go. I want the names so that I know who to also hold accountable for the incomparable shame of his campaign.

    2. I want to know in what context he made the comment, “If they bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun.”

Anybody have the answers? Thanks very much.

  64. Please read this post from obamawtf.blogspot.com:

Why is Huffington Post trying to make an issue out of Michelle Obama’s bare legs?

This post from the Huffington Post, Obama’s blog of choice for trying to defend why he spent 20 years listening to his mentor’s racist sermons, is yet another example of how Obama’s Extreme Left cronies play “identity politics” in an attempt to drive a wedge into the electorate.

Remember Drudge’s red hot scoop of a photo of Barack Obama in African dress and Team Obama using it to its advantage claiming it was just another example of dirty racist politics by the Clintons. It was not. In fact, the photo wasn’t a scoop at all. It had been available on the internet for some time. Despite that, the dirt stuck on Senator Clinton.

Now Team Obama is trying drive a wedge in the female vote. They’re trying to stir up
criticism of Michelle, someone their lackeys in the media are portraying as the model of a confident, independent woman. Here’s how the game was played.

Step One: Earlier this month, Barack uses two news cycles to tell the media to lay off his wife after Tennessee GOP issue a video which includes the infamous clip of Michelle Obama telling us that until this year when her husband won Iowa she has never been proud of America. (Not the moon-landing; not the Olympics; not the foreign aid etc…NEVER)

Step Two: Michelle Obama goes on The View a TV show aimed exclusively for women in attempt to reintroduce her to American women. Not only does Michelle have bare legs but also in case anyone missed the obvious, Obama panderer Barbara Walters makes a specific point of drawing this fact to the attention of the audience by saying that she, Barbara Walters, did not have bare legs. (Of course Barbara is much older and therefore not part of Michelle’s generation and the critical voting demographic women 30-50.

Step Three: The manipulative Extreme Left led by Arriana Goebells wait expectantly for Team McCain to fall into the trap of criticizing Michelle.

Step Four: When the bait is left untouched they quickly generate their own piece suggesting what they expected to be hearing from the racist, old and dumb people who dare to criticize. They hope not only will this draw more attention to Michelle’s legs, but it also will give Team McCann some ideas of what to say about the issue.

    Story continues..

    http://obamawtf.blogspot.com/2008/06/why-is-huffington-post-trying-to-make.html

  65. Obama has now, without doubt, got caught race baiting and playing the race card. But, the media will play it down. And people ask, how can you vote for McCain. P L E A S E.
