Lake County Mayor McDermott says vote count looks improper

I picked this up off of By the Fault, Charles Lemos’ new blog (check it out). I can’t remember a time when I’ve seen one Democrat all but accuse another of corruption on national TV. But he’s got a point. The vote in Lake County, where Gary is located, was held up for hours after all of the other towns in the county had reported. Mayor Rudy Clay of Gary says it took them a long time to count 11,000 absentee ballots.

Sorry, that just doesn’t make sense. If everyone else, including Indianapolis, could get it done pronto, why couldn’t he? Or were they desperately fishing through the ballots, looking for ones to throw away? It doesn’t look innocent to me. It looks like there was a frantic attempt to swing it for Obama and they just couldn’t come up with the numbers.

    The video is worth watching. Mayor Clay (of Gary, BO supporter) keeps insisting that they’re still counting the ballots, and Mayor McDermott (of Hammond, HRC supporter) keeps coming back with “It’s a computer” and “You push a button.” Then, suddenly, a huge number of votes comes in, from 58% reporting to 98% reporting. Very odd, indeed. BTW, Mayor McDermott emphasizes that Hillary beat Barack in his own backyard. Let’s remember this.

    If Mayor McDermott is not following the party line and is basically saying that something is fishy here, then it only stands to reason that he may be right. He was pretty emphatic that this looked fishy.

    There no doubt that something is fishy, and every Mayor in Lake county except the moron in Gary endorsed Hillary. Let’s hope some of those mayors look into this. To me it sounds like they were filling out “absentee ballots,” not counting them.

    Do you realize how stupid you look saying something is improper and then it breaks your way? He was on the air bitching up until the vote came in for him. It was apparently the suburbs holding things up. The guy came off like a whiner. He’ll be best buddies with D’Antoni when he hits town.
